NationStates Christmas Celebration

Postby Indo-Malaysia » Wed Dec 21, 2016 12:18 pm

NationStates Christmas Celebration
Welcome to the inaugural NationStates Christmas Celebration, hosted by the Order of the Southern North and planned by Indo-Malaysia. Starting on the 23rd of December, and ending on the 27th, the celebration will consist of World Leaders coming together, resting aside petty diplomacy, wars and other silly political jargon. Grab a shot of Whiskey (Or something else.. stop ruining the sentence!), and enjoy the celebration merrily, as I would put it as should you I hope, I do have some... enforcers.
Menu
  • Single-Malt Scotch Whiskey
  • Excessively Distilled Vodka
  • Vintage Port (Bottled 1873)
  • Rum (Rhum Agricole)
  • Indo-Malaysian Natural Spring Water
  • Moro Blood Orange Juice
  • Hot Chocolate
Food (Supplied by Order of the Southern North)
  • Roast Dinner (Consisting of a choice of Gammon, Turkey or Beef; served with finely crisped Roasted Potatoes, steamed peas and carrots, roast parsnips and the orders finest Beef Gravy, as well as Yorkshire Pudding)
  • Vegetarian Roast (Same as Roast Dinner, but with meat excluded, and vegetable based gravy. Option of tofu-based imitation meats)
  • Root Vegetable Soup (Consists of Parsnips, Swede, Sweet Potatoes, Potatoes, Carrots and Leek)
  • Christmas Pudding (Soaked in Brandy, with good quality raisins, flavoured with local spices, and finished by being set alight with Brandy)

Alex begins to pour some Port into a glass. "Any chance of other guys from The Radiant will turn up" he said, while pouring himself some Rhum Agricole. "On top of that, know any interesting events happening over there Mr Klinghoffer?"

"I hope more from The Radiant show up. Other than that the Dux is in a coma. Currently making arrangements to be sent to my nation has the top coma recovery specialists in the region."' ,replied Chancellor Klinghoffer.

President Tdevew Ruei sipped a little bit of vintage port, mainly to be polite. After all, it was a bad idea to get drunk at a high-level diplomatic meeting. He turned to Chancellor Klinghoffer, who was delivering some surprising news: "The Dux? In a coma? When did that happen? I never heard about it until now. Hopefully he will recover..."

While cleaning some glasses, Alex couldn't help but notice that President Tdevew Ruei had entered, and was talking to Chancellor Klinghoffer. While sipping his Rhum Agricole, he overheard the conversation about the Dux in the Radiant being in a coma. After thinking about adding to the conversation, he saw that both had been drinking the Vintage Port, prompting him to reply differently.

"That Port there, was bottled in 1873. Back then, we were simple villages and other whatnot controlled by foreign empires. What were your nations like back then?"

"Well... in the 1870s we were being ruled by the "Grand Republic" government. The nation had been newly formed as a Republic in the 1840's after a long war of independence, but our new government was too weak and inefficient and was overthrown in a coup led by the former war hero Fwehbi Bhuw. Those were hard times for Unnamedland...the new government became even more corrupt and inefficient than the old, and any opposition to it was swiftly crushed until the 1909 rebellions...Unnamedlandian history is complicated."

"Aah. Speaking of War Heroes and Rebellions, we were looking through lost publications and stuff from the early 1940's, and we heard about some bloke named Darrell Kirk, who inspired some FOK rebellion that flushed out the Hetricans from Java. Quite brutal then though, luckily we are now civilised enough to all be drinking here. The food will be ready tomorrow, the meat is on the slow-cooker. The accommodation is upstairs on the left. Your room is 021" said Alex, handing a set of keys to President Ruei.

Tdevew Ruei arrives at Room 021 and goes to sleep easily due to still suffering from jet lag after arriving in Indo-Malaysia.

"In the 1870s Odinburgh did not exist. Our ancestors, the Asgardians, overseen events on Earth. Back to the Dux he went into coma a few days ago and still gathering information.", Chancellor Klinghoffer quickly responded.

A 100 year old banger makes its way up the driveway and proceeds to make churning noises as it moves along. Out of the car steps a smart gentleman with a top hat.

"Hello everyone! I heard there was a Party here and couldn't miss it for the world!"

He placed his top hat on the hat stand and immediately proceeded to dance.

The Punong enters with a dapper suit and tie, along with his wife, Elizabeth Flores, now wearing a stunning red dress, catching the eyes of the people in the room. "Pardon me if I'm late," the Punong would greet the ladies and gentlemen. "Now, what did I miss?" He would then, with this hand on his lady's lower back (the literal lower back, not the butt), walk to a table.

Punong Fernando Flores and the First Lady, Lisa Flores, would then be visited by a waiter, who would then provide them a single menu. Fernando would then give it to his wife to read, as it was gentlemanly, anyway. She would blush shyly, only to take the menu. "Maybe you'd want to see the other leaders in this room while I read this menu?" Fernando nodded, and began to observe the events. Meanwhile, before the red-dressed lady, were these choices:

Vintage Port, and perhaps a Root Vegetable Soup with a nice Christmas Pudding. She would then give the Menu to Fernando, showing that she had made her choices.
"I'd buy us some Vintage Port, and perhaps a Roast Dinner. Come on, darling, let's call this your 'Ultimate Cheat Day'.."
Lisa would smile, having been exposed of her plans. "Okay, then. But I'd like some soup too, and since I'm 'sinning' today, let's try this Christmas Pudding too."
"Alright, let's call the waiter- oh, there you are."
The waiter was a black-haired man with a warm smile. "What can I get for the lovely couple?"

"A bottle of Vintage Port, two Root Vegetable Soups, a Roast Dinner and two Christmas Puddings. They are to be served in this order, take note--the Soup, the Dinner, the Port and then the Puddings. Got it?"
"Yes, sir. So that would be.. Vintage Port, two Soups, one Roast Dinner and two Christmas Puddings, yes?"
"Yup. Thank you," the waiter would then leave.

"Now, Lisa, let's meet the other leaders while they're preparing our food.."
