The Leger von Traansval

Branches of The Leger von Traansval
The Weermag
The Weermag (Translated as "Army") is the major Land based branch of the Leger von Traansval. The Weermag contains the:

Basic Infantry: Voetvolk
Mildeford Special Troops: Mildeford Bijzonder-Troepen
Cape Town Sharpshooters: Kaapstad Scherpschutters
Stormtroopers: Bestormen-Troep
Foreign Legion: Vreemdenlegioen
Mounted Infantry: Berdan Korp

The Voetvolk is the Basic Infantry of the Leger von Traansval. They are not elite, but are no where near the quality of Conscripts. The Leger operates a Volunteer Only Force, and so the Voetvolk receive slightly above average infantry training.

The Mildeford Bijzonder-Troepen are a special infantry unit, trained for their mobility. The Mildeford Troepen can travel long distances at a very fast Forced March Pace. The Troepen are also highly trained in hand to hand combat, and storming enemy positions.

The Kaapstad Scherpshutters are the Snipers, Marksmen, and Scouts of the Leger. They mainly act in a Scouting or supporting role along side other typed of Infantry. They are also used to protect Land and Sea Trade Routes.

The Bestormen-Troep are Elite Stormtroopers. They are trained extensively in the use of Hand Grenades, Hand-to-Hand combat, and other skills needed when storming a enemy fortification.

The Vreemdenlegioen is a Legion of around 50 Regiments, made entirely of Foreign Nationals or Non-Citizen Immigrants. The Traansval for many years has seen a large amount of immigrants come into its borders, and the Leger decided to make use of these Non-Citizen Foreign Nationals. The Legioens endure a brutal training, which makes them one of the "Elite" Units, along side the Mildefords, Bestormen Troepen, Lug-Voetvolk, and the Republikeinse Garde.

The Berdan Korp is a Corp of Mounted Infantry Divisions. Their main tactic is to use the Horses to ride to battle, then dismount and fight like regular infantry.

The Vloot contains the Vloot and the Vloot-Voetvolk

The Vloot, or Navy, Operates the Naval Ships of the Leger von Traansval. The Vloot is split into 4 Vloots (Fleets). The 1st Vloot, 2nd Vloot, 3rd Vloot, and 4th Vloot.

The Vloot-Voetvolk, or Naval Infantry, or the Marines of the Leger von Traansval. They're trained for situations such as Beach landings, Naval Warfare, Naval Boarding, and other operations.

The Gepantserd Korp
The Gepantserd Korp operates the Armored Cars and Armored Vehicles of the Leger von Traansval. The Korp is split into 7 Land-Vloots (Land Fleets), which contain the Armored Cars and Tanks of the Korp.

The Korp also is planning to add in a new branch, the Gemotoriseerde-Voetvolk, or Motorized Infantry. The new branch is still in the planning phases.

The Lug Korp
The Lug Korp, or Aerial Corp, operates the Lugskips (Airships) of the Leger von Traansval. These ships are split into 5 Lug-Vloots (Air Fleets).

The Lug-Voetvolk is another part of the Lug Korp. The Lug-Voetvolk, or Aerial Infantry, are Elite Troops, trained in Aerial Warfare and Aerial Boarding. 12 Regiments of the Lug-Voetvolk are apart of the Paratroepen, or Paratrooper Regiments. The Paratroepen are trained to use Parachutes to drop from Airships into enemy territory. They are usually used to attack small or specific targets, or to assist allied troops.

The Ondersteuning Weermag
The Ondersteuning Weermag, or "Support Army", is a branch of the Leger von Traansval that contains:

Logistiek Korp:
Translated as "Logistics Corp", the Logistiek Korp deals with organization and issuing Gear to troops, along with coordinating the Leger.

Medisch Korp: Translated as "Medical Corp", the Medisch Korp contains the Doctors of the Leger, and its main job is to heal injured troopers, bury dead troopers, and establish Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals (MASH), and Mobile Army Medical Hospitals (MAMH) during war time.

Vortrekker Gevecht-Genist Korp: Translated as "Vortrekker Combat-Engineer Corp", the Vortrekkers are the combat engineers of the Leger. Their main job is to build Fortifications, Trenches, and to assist in the destruction of enemy Fortifications and Trenches.

Ballistiek Korp: The Ballistiek Korp, or "Ballistics Corp", operates the Artillery of the Leger von Traansval

Ataloc Tradorov
Image
The Ataloc Tradorov self propelled rocket gun. This weapon fires a 1.2-pound (0.54 kg) high-explosive shell at 800 feet (244 meters) per second; it also can fire an armour-piercing round at 1,000 feet (305 meters) per second. The gun's 40x79R cartridge is a shortened version of the naval 40x158R anti-airship cartridge, with the shell case reduced from 158 mm (6.22 inches) to 79 mm (3.11 inches) in length.

ImagePortable Anti Tank Alotov Rifle
A single-shot weapon which fired a 14.5×114mm round, although unable to hit tanks from the front, the sides and the rear are the best places to shoot at. In large firing numbers it can prove to be very effective. Light, portable, and more accurate than the Ataloc.

National goals: To expand the borders of the Empire and foster cooperation between the Nations in the Alliance of Republican Nations.

Nation's Leader: Empress Catherine Javette (Manticore), Emperor Edward Stark (Grayman)

National Government: The government of the Empire is a Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Monarchy. Emperor Javette is the Head of State and official Head of Government. Prime Minister Robert Hale is the Head of Parliament, making him the de-facto Head of Government. Parliament is organized around a bicameral legislature in the Westminster style. The Upper House is the House of Lords, with 810 members, organized into the Lords Spiritual, a collection of bishops from the Church of the Empire, and the Lords Temporal, a collection of Lords selected from the peerage of the Empire. The Lower House is the House of Commons, with 1,460 Members of Parliament elected for a period of five years. There are two major subgroups of Parliament. The first is His Majesty's Government, the political party that the current Prime Minister belongs to. The second is His Majesty's Most Loyal Opposition, which is the largest political party in Parliament that OPPOSES the ideology of the Government. Other parties often ally themselves either with the Government or with the Opposition, forming complicated power blocs within Parliament. Allegiances often change with each election, though some parties are known to switch camps on a dime or form their own camps.

Emperess Catherine is assisted by several advisors, each of who is responsible for a particular department within the government. These advisors are Viceroy Joseph Kerry, Secretary of State James Lynch, Secretary of the Treasury Richard Law, Secretary of Defense Alton Carroll, Attorney General Robert Johnston, Secretary of the Interior Thomas Saite, Secretary of Agriculture Thomas Rice, Secretary of Commerce Paul Samuels, Secretary of Labor Emilio Perez, Secretary of Health and Human Services Sylvester Matthews, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Anthony Carlisle, Secretary of Transportation Tristan Paulus, Secretary of Education Richard King, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Keith McDonald, Office of Management and Budget Director Isodor Krennic, Chief of Staff Kevin Erso.
The Viceroy serves as the Head of State while the Emperor is away and can also attend state functions in place of the Emperor. The Viceroy also watches in on the House of Lords, holding a position there in addition to serving on the Emperor's cabinet.
The Department of State is the diplomatic and foreign affairs arm of the Imperial Government, responsible to meeting with foreign dignitaries, negotiating with foreign powers, drafting treaties, and providing ambassadors and staff members for the Empire's various embassies.
The Department of the Treasury controls the Empire's money and regulates taxes, tariffs, and other facets of the economy.
The Department of Defense is responsible for ensuring the security of the realm as well as defending her allies and securing her assets abroad.
The Department of Labor is responsible for regulating businesses and preventing the exploitation of Manticoran citizens for monetary gain.
The Department of the Interior is responsible for the maintenance of government buildings, government land, and national parks.
The Department of Agriculture regulates farming and ensures that the food that is sold to the Empire's citizens is safe.
The Department of Commerce regulates both foreign and domestic trade.
The Department of Justice is responsible for enforcing the laws of the Empire, including the investigation and prosecution of crimes.
The Department of Health and Human Services regulates medical practice and helps to ensure that orphans and widows are cared for was well as victims of domestic violence.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development is responsible for regulating building codes and ensuring that structures built within the Empire meet safety requirements.
The Department of Transportation maintains bridges, roads, and public transit systems.
The Department of Education is responsible for ensuring that the youth of the Empire receive the best possible education possible.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible to addressing issues faced by veterans of Manticore's military, including assisting them in finding employment and housing.

The Grayman Empire is a stratocracy, meaning that it is run by the military, who's political power is a part of the nation's constitution. The Government is comprised of the Imperial Council, which has a collection of officers from the Navy and Army. The Imperial Council is responsible for overseeing the various military districts of the Empire and does so through the Naval Council and Army Council. Neither Council is superior to the other, thus preventing either branch from taking resources or attention from the other. The Empire has five naval districts and ten army districts, with five territories containing both a naval and army district. Presently, the Imperial Council is made up of seven Admirals and twelve Generals.
The Naval Council is headed by Admiral Jerome L. Norris, with the five naval districts represented by Admiral George A. Smith, Admiral Jason C. Clifton, Admiral Joseph R. Mack, and Admiral William J. Wilson. The final member of the Naval Council, Admiral Timothy A. Hicks, is also a member of the Board of Admiralty and, traditionally, also serves as the First Lord of the Admiralty.
The Army Council is headed by Marshall Danny I. Senn, with the ten army districts represented by Marshall Patrick I. Gray, Marshall Keith S. Simmons, Marshall Rudy L. Winkler, Marshall Robert H. Hunter, Marshall Stanely N. Johnson, Marshall Donald L. McDonald, Marshall John G. Adams, Marshall Jeremy C. Flippen, Marshall Michael L. Dickey, and Marshall Arthur P. Curtin. Marshall Calvin G. Parra is the final member of the council and is also the Chief of the General Staff.

National history: The Manticoran Empire was formed in 1572 after a vote in Parliament altered the Sovereign's title from King or Queen to Emperor or Empress. The logic behind the decision was that Manticore had recently conquered the neighboring countries Bretonsea and Garsonbrey, with several members of the Government defining it as more of an Empire than a Kingdom.

In 1635, the Manticoran Empire began overseas exploration and wars of conquest aimed at increasing its wealth and territory as well as spreading the Word of the Gods. Sphalek was conquered by 1640. In 1643, the Army marched into Daerdhune, bulldozing the small and ill-equipped Daer Army and securing the country by 1647. In 1650, Imperial troops landed in Aelifland, fighting a 12 year war to conquer the country. In 1670, Manticore invaded Mhakustan, forcing the local government to surrender in less than a year. Smhakun was invaded in 1683 and fell in 1688 after five years of brutal fighting. In 1715, Manticoran troops invaded Forguttei. Forguttei would prove a difficult plate to swallow, resisting Imperial rule for 25 years. When Forguttei fell in 1735, only one territory remained before the Dehum Sea became a Manticoran lake. Despite repeated attempts at annexation and conquest, Spirus remains hostile.

Over the course of the last 135 years, the Manticoran Empire became a center for science and technology. Steam locomotives carry people and supplies across Imperial territory. Most streets have electric lamps, telegraph wires crisscross the nation, and several hybrid cable stayed-suspension bridges spanning the Dehum Sea have recently been completed. The bridges allow trains to travel from Ashton Rhuinland to the other territories and urban areas have sprung up along the rail lines. The use of electric lamps allow shops and factories to open longer and allow safer late night travel.

In more recent years, the Empire has expanded into Nuwe Afrikaan, the Polynesian Atoll, and Tamir, conquering much of all three continents, as well as other islands that serve a strategic purpose.

Under Emperor Adrian I, the Manticoran Empire began their major expansions, starting with the Nuwe Afrikaan War, where the Empire, alongside the NCSU and Eaka, invaded and conquered Austrivania. During the war, the Empire first deployed tanks in major engagements. Tanks would be used to greater affect in the First Rome-Manticore War.

The First Rome-Manticore War, also known as the Syday War, was a major armed conflict that began in 1888 and was fought between the Manticoran Empire and the Roman Empire over the twin islands of Syday. During the 14 month conflict, the Manticoran Empire delivered a serious of humiliating defeats to the Romans, securing Syday. In 1893, shortly before his death, the Second Rome-Manticore War began following the invasion of a Boer Colony on the Island of Solitude. Simultaneously, the Empire was embroiled in the Isle's War, fighting against the Bronze Isles to liberate The Twelve Isles. The Second Rome-Manticore War had threatened to erupt into a world war when Skarten also invaded the Roman Empire, resulting in a tense border situation that continues.

The Grayman Empire is a complex society, forged in war and molded in peace. The rise of a stratocratic society began in the late 13th century, following hundreds of years of weak kings and near constant civil war. Once a dominant power in Indianum, almost 500 years of civil war and foreign invasions nearly destroyed them as a people. Following the 410th Grayman Civil War (19 October, 1252-17 February, 1253) and the execution of King Oliver, who had ruled for only six months, King Joseph XXII was crowned, only to be murdered by his guards two weeks later. The 411th Grayman Civil War began on 3 March 1253, with the supporters of Oliver's cousin, Rupert, declaring war on the remnants of Joseph's government, who rallied around the murdered king's toddler son. Sick of constant warfare, several generals gathered together and raised their own army before marching against both Rupert and the boy king Joseph XXIII. The war lasted for nearly a century, with the army finally gaining victory at the Battle of Greimouth in 1351. A new constitution was ratified in 1353, in which the military became the political machine as well. Only veterans would have any political say and military service was made compulsory for all males. Over the next 500 years, the Empire expanded along the coast, conquering its northern neighbor, Pearl Bay, after a 15 year war in the early 15th century. In 1452, the Cayamano War began and would last ten long years before victory was achieved. Then Blue Duck Bay was invaded and conquered in 1502. In 1509, the territory of Kickoo was annexed by the Empire without a fight and two years later was joined by Drabvogar. The First Lo'ktar War began in 1588 and would continue for nearly thirty years before the Empire was defeated at the Battle of Tavriel Plain in 1607. In 1622 the Second Lo'ktar War began and this time it took the Empire a mere twelve years to conquer the problematic territory. Simultaneously, another war was started. The Great Marshes War lasted 21 years and was followed quickly by the Redbird War in 1644. In 1657 Redbird Bay was conquered. The nation of Bjorniah wasn't going to wait to be conquered and instead invaded Redbird Bay in 1661. The Second Redbird War led to the conquest of Bjorniah in 1700. The final major conflict of expansion was against Transyl in 1719. The war lasted for seven years, ending with a decisive victory for the Empire at the city of Sylize in 1726. Border clashes with neighboring empires and nations became common place of the next 180 years.
With a proud military tradition and strong military, the Grayman Empire is poised to begin expansion anew.

In 1910, the two nations merged with the Marriage of Empress Catherine Javette of Manticore and Emperor Edward Stark of Grayman.

NATION INFORMATION
Nation name: The Grayman Empire

Flag: Image

National goals: To expand the borders

Nation's Leader: Emperor Martin S. Stark

National Government: The Grayman Empire is a stratocracy, meaning that it is run by the military, who's political power is a part of the nation's constitution.

National history: The Grayman Empire is a complex society, forged in war and molded in peace.

National history: The Free Isles Army was formed in 1892 by the then Captain Billy Younger in the Traansval, where the highest number of Twelve Isles refugees had taken up residence. Initially a small group of five hundred recruits and three regiments of Islander nationals who had been taken in by the Boer government, the Free Isles Army has quickly grown to 150,000 soldiers through allied nations putting up recruitment posters for the FIA, interational aid and support, and the addition of the Colonial Guard and the Colonial Fleet.

National goals: Spread its Rebellion across the world

Nation's Leader: Lord Cali Merui

National Government: (explain it's workings and set-up) the Father of Rebellion regulates business, and is appointed by the Lord, The Spreader of the Rebellion runs foreign affairs, and is appointed by the lord. National history: Three decades ago, a man called Desmond Halium called on its imperial owners to leave the country, after several horrible riots, the Battle of Tanyoon shoved the Rebellion into the mainstream. Slowly, although plagued by inner problems like the Yellow Movement, a move to split up Halium among the various rebel groups, and the fighting between Democratic and Communist forces the Haliumians slowly pushed their Colonial Rulers out, culminating in the Battle of Halium City, where the last Colonial armies left, and Halium was declared independent. After this Desmond Halium took over for a day, declaring Direct Democratic rule, and then the government went dark for a week, and afterwards Cali was the Lord of Halium, and Desmond Father of Rebellion. Opinions on politics: In light of the failure of two parties, there either should be none, or multiple major ones

Opinion on Government: Should be run by Mirthocracy (ask me about it sometime)

Why do I always play weak nations? I hate having every advantage, makes it boring to me

Leader: Emperor Johann II
Successor: Crown Prince Lothar

Language: R'lyehian, Ruskland-Preusen(Russian/German mixture), Rusklander(Russian), Preusen(German)
National Religion: Cthulhusim
National Culture/Identity: Extremely zealous to the state and Cthulhu, industrious and thrifty. Mostly serious and humourless, although some laughing occurs in the free time.
National Passtime: Suddenly breaking out into song when someone starts praising Cthulhu, praying to Cthulhu, studying, dowsing sorrows in massive drink and whoring(population boon!), and hunting animals from the largest stags to the smallest mouse in order to sacrifice to Cthulhu.
National holidays:
The birthing - Celebrated on January 2-3, this celebrates the creation of Ruskland-Preusen, which is today, the NCSU. Occurrences on this holiday are the blood red fireworks and dancing.
Emperor's Birthday - Celebrated on the birthday of the emperor, taxes are lowered until the end of the month. For emperors born on the first or last day of a month, the tax lowering ends at the middle day of the current or next month.
Winter Warming - Celebrated on the longest and coldest night of the year, massive bonfires are the hallmark of this celebration.
Solar Sacking - Celebrated during hybrid solar eclipses, in which annular eclipses turn into total eclipses. Animals are sacrificed while being placed in sacks in the thousands. Nobody sleeps on this day, as the entire day sacrifices are made.
The Great Blooding - Celebrated on days where a central lunar eclipse occurs, sacrifices occur in the most gory way possible, and bathing in blood is commonplace.

Allies: Bronze Isles, Transvaal, Olthenia, Krossa, and Bevilla
Neutral: Rannoria, Crimetopolis/TeknoRepublika, TTI, Norcourt, and Rome
Enemies: Wargloria, Aclus, Arengin, Skarten, and Manticore

Population: 274 million

Military Info

Military size: 2,800,000 million, divided into 14 legions of 200,000 and 1,500,000 million from vassals.

Branches:
The Armee(translated as Army), is the land branch of the Military. There are 25,000 men from each of the four mini-branches, and that makes a total of 100,000 men, an entire legion.

Regular Infantry/Regelyarnaya Pekhotarie
The people you see first thing in a war almost every time, and are good enough to act as dangerous cannon fodder, i.e numerous and hard hitting.

Amphibious Infantry/Amfibische Pekhotarie
What defiles your beaches and anything connected to the water. Are prodigies in their field but on land and air, sort of not that good, but they can still kill some soldiers inland and that is good enough.

Berserkers/Berserkerie
Another name for these men would be drugged and fanatical stormtroopers. Picked from the most zealous of men, they are first drugged before battle. Then the conditions are allowed to evolve first, and when the time is right, they are release in battle. Allied would have to stay clear of them, supporting them only in ranged weaponry, as they cannot differentiate ally or foe.

Sharpshooters/Scharfemetkiy Stralhok
Our elite unit of snipers. Due to us being the first ones to utilize them extensively(in the War Against TTI, and in the current war), we have some of the most well trained and most elite sharpshooters in the world.

The Bewemobilnyy Armee or Mobile Army are the troops that can go faster than a trooper running.

Cavalrymen/Kavalleristy
Your good ol' men on horses. They evolved from regular armed men on horses, then knights/horse archers, finally to infantry on horses. This makes them almost perfect in melee(these men are treated as knights and even then, they are knights!) and ranged(modern horse archers, i.e snipers on horses).

Legkayichte Rüsbronya/Light Armor
What sub-category armored cars, towers and the artillery they tow and of course our infamous modern hwatchas are in. Towed light artillery are also fall into this category.

Schwelaya Rüsbronya/Heavy Armor
All tanks are categorized here, even the light tanks. And do towed heavy artillery and railroad guns fall into this category.

Note: Semi-mobile or mobile artillery are at the time, too slow for this category.

Consisting of the capital R'lyeh and the major shipping town of Warhall, this territory has some of the most developed counties in the Imperium, with the exception of the far north counties where there are forests. It is ruled by our beloved emperor Johann II of Soissons.
Sub Territories

Velißer Marshe(Great March in English)
Created in February 18, 1645 to fortify the Ruskland-Preusen/Arenginian Border and to act as a deterrent to any further Arenginian incursions. So far, it is a success, with us being the ones making an incursion. Consisting of the great shipping metropolis of Guleim, the land transport crossroads city of Ewasguleim, and the heavily fortified major town of Bluefort and Garton, this area of the empire is the most fortified to date. Maintained and ruled by the just Archmarshe-Douke Janus dan Gergory

Perekhodgang(Transition)
Nobody knows why it is called as such, maybe someone nicknamed it that and it stuck. An extensive hilly and mineral rich tundra, the cities of Walharp and Yokun are located here, with both specializing in the mining industry. This part of the empire is considered the beginning of the industrial heartland of the NCSU. It is ruled by Spitzedouke Simeon Azem.
Sub Territories
Unione Freiherrmaga - A group of barons between Walharp and Yokun created this small league of baronies with the sole purpose of protection and prosperity. Led by Vysohe Freiherrmag William Stencilling.

Brotnitsa(Breadbasket)
As its name implies, it is the agricultural heartland of the NCSU. The cities of Arrow and Nogg are located snugly between the branching Noggbrooks which feed the farmlands with both clean water and fertile soil if it floods. Elsewhere in this beautiful territory, massive farms and ranches dot the land, and the occasional cottage can be spotted. Taken care of by Archdouke Louis Fitz-Almodis
Sub Territories
Vysohe Kolichgrafokrug Maga - Borders the Arenginians, a heavily fortified area of Brotnitsa. Ruled with an iron fist by the paranoid Vysohe Kolichgraf Arnfastsen Billyngling.
Kolichgrafokrug Flumis - The County of Rivers and rightfully so, as it is located between Arrow and Nogg, and is surrounded by hundreds of streams and creeks, and as a result, is surrounded by sprawling farms. Ruled by the gentleman Kolichgraf Mark Anton-Marseaux.

Nordnyye Forty(North Forts)
A bunch of castles, their owners, and the towns near the castles. The great Black Citadel is located here, and its walls are superior to that of the Arenginians. Due to being far north, the lands are not that fertile, although it is warmed up due to the many factories dotting the landscape. This territory is where you can see old medieval environments, albeit cleaner and more modern. Has no ruler due to it being just a bunch of counts and dukes categorized into one group. Consists of the Black Citadel, Castle Resolve, Fort Frederick, Nedton, and Bloodmoat.
Sub Territories
Nordyymarshe(Northmarch) - The seat of this Marshe-Doukas the Black Citadel itself. Formed when further eastward expansion occurred. Also considered the industrial heartland of the NCSU due to the hundreds of factories dotting the gray and bleak landscape, the only warmth found here are inside the factories, which have high standards for the care of their workers. Ruled by Marshe-Douke Magnus V Hviding, who also controls Castle Resolve.
Vysohe Kolichgrafokrug Fredrick-Nedton - The seat of this High County is Fort Frederick, and is ruled by the reformist Fredrick XXI Fredrikonig.

Mittniy Forty(Middle Forts)

Sudyug Forty(South Forts)

Mezchen Flumi(Between Rivers)

Gunnskogoc(Lohranic)

Die Piki(The Peaks)

Vostokuste Poberezie(East Coast)

NATION INFORMATION

Nation name: Empire of Mu

National goals: To expand the borders of the Empire

Nation's Leader: Emperor Mar'Da Ozhpri

National Government: Functionally an Absolute Monarchy, though official a semi-constitutional monarchy

National history: The Mu Empire was formed in 1292 following the victory of Emperor K'ratak Ozhpri over the rival tribes in Mu. In 1305, K'ratak began his advance out of Mu, invading Isalem with a force of 35,000 men. The Isalemite Army was swept aside by the battle hardened Mu forces in only two years and K'ratak was far from finished. In 1310, K'ratak invaded Bent and, in 1311, he invaded Luxidoorus from Bent and Isalem. By the time of his death in 1340, the Mu Empire dominated the Indu River Delta region. K'ratak's heir, K'mpec, rose to power in 1340 and immediately began to expand westward, invading Foij'saoij in late 1340. After five years of war, K'mpec moved on to Dfajoh'hip in the north, conquering it in 1353. In 1360, K'mpec invaded Aasadi, however he died before the Aasadi were defeated and his son, Da'ga, was soon forced to lead the army out of Aasadi. For nearly 100 years, the Mu Empire failed to make significant headway against the Aasadi until, in 1457, the new Emperor, Vagh Mvoric, used cannons in warfare, defeating the Aasadi walls that had proven such an embarrassment to his predecessors. Vagh spent the next 33 years conquering the lands around Aasadi, starting with Bisadi, then Omadi and Mukhtari, and finally Ogfopo. When he died in 1504, he had already conquered more territory than K'ratak the Great, leading to him being titled Vagh the Conqueror. However, Vagh's son, Gho'ka, saw little interest in conquering and spent his reign partying and chasing women, which resulted in the Empire losing Bisadi and Omadi to the Qasimidi Kingdom. Gho'ka was murdered by his own guards in 1520 and Vagh's most important general, Kaden Kreth, was made Emperor. For the next thirty years, Kaden led the Mu Empire on a war of genocidal vengeance against the Qasimidi, reconquering the lost territory slowly, but decisively. In 1555, Kaden the Vengeful led a massive invasion of Qasimidi, sparking 100 years of violence, which was ended by his great grandson, Kerge Rul. Kerge Rul then went to a policy of defense, becoming known as Kerge the Peaceful. While some more modern Mu would consider Kerge weak, however none would have believed that for long, as Kerge was known for being quite final in his dealing with attacks against the Empire or his person. Kerge set the precedent for rulers from his death until recent times, with minimal additions to the Empire being made by Emperor Konjah Daa'maq in 1680 and Emperor Rorg Keraz in 1790, acquiring about half of the Aosifii during their reigns. This changed in 1810 when Rorg Keraz died and his son, Maglus Konjah, ascended to the throne. Maglus decided early on in his life that he wanted to be better than Vagh the Conqueror and, to achieve that end, he invaded the remaining territory of the Aosif Kingdom. The war was long and drawn out, ending in 1825 after 15 years and more than two million deaths. Maglus, however, was not satisfied. He had only conquered a minor area of land, despite being the first Emperor to conquer a country in nearly 300 years. As such, he invaded Medase in 1832. Unfortunately for Maglus, his army was defeated in 1836 and they lost the territory of Ogfopo. Maglus died in 1840 and his son, Ja'rod, spent forty years preparing the Mu Army for a new offensive against Medase. Ja'rod died in 1881, leaving it to his son, Marg Revulac, to invade Medase in 1882. By 1890, the Mu Army had blocked the Medase Army in the port city of Kor. By the end of the year, the Medase Army and the citizens living inside had been starved into submission. When the Mu Army entered Kor, however, all joy of victory was reported to have been lost. As Emperor Marg himself wrote, "The city was in utter disrepair. Artillery damage was largely limited to the outskirts, which were mostly abandoned. The center of the city, by contrast, resembled a nightmare. And not just any nightmare, but one of Hell itself. Not a man, woman, or child walked past who was not pale as a ghost and resembled a skeleton. I, myself, was quite taken aback when the first of the enemy captives were brought past me, believing my soldiers to be escorting walking skeletons. Even more disturbing to my eyes was the sight of a woman scraping a bone with what looked like a small jaw. She was scraping the shavings into her hands and then licking them off voraciously. As I watched, I could not help but notice the rather small skeleton next to her. A child's skeleton, missing it's jaw and femur." Emperor Marg shot himself after writing this.
Despite the horrific results, Medase was finally conquered and the Mu Empire was the dominant force in the region. Emperor Mar'Da Ozhpri ascended to the throne in 1891, barely a month after his father's suicide, and has spent much of that time fighting [insert Arengin's puppet here].

Territory: Qasimidi, Aosifii, Medase, Bisadi, Omadi, Mukhtari, Ogfopo, Aasadi, Iasidig, Foij’saoij, Dfajoh’hip, Hva, Mu, Shievak, Luxidoorus, Hoodrieks, Imperia, Zebasi, Bent, Isalem

Language: Klingon

National Religion: Polytheism

National Culture/Identity: The Culture of the Empire is highly militarized, with soldiering being viewed as the greatest thing a man can do in his life. Much like Spartan society, the Empire is divided into several castes. The most prestigious are ethnic Shievaks, who make up 15% of the population and serve as the core of its Armed Forces. Next are other native ethnicities who proved themselves in battle during the conquests, known as Ty'rs or Seconds. At the bottom of society, forming 60% of the population, is the slave caste, made up of conquered societies deemed unworthy of integration. While the Seconds have virtually the same rights as the Shievaks and have the ability to be "promoted" to the Shievak Caste after distinguishing themselves in battle, members of the Slave Caste have no rights and are often used as cannon fodder, sent against enemy formations with only the crudest of weapons.

National Passtime: Basically any sport that tests strength and intelligence.

National holiday: The Solstices, Equinoxes, birthday of the Emperor

Nation's Population: 402 million

Allies: none

Enemies: I’ll get back to you on that

Political issues:

Chance of revolt: Not really

Greatest Victory: Conquest of Medase, Second Medase War 1882-1890

Most Embarrassing Defeat: First Medase War, 1832-1836

The Alliance of Republican Nations,
In Pretoria, The Traansval, 1892

Article 1
The Parties undertake to settle any international dispute in which they may be involved by peaceful means in such a manner that international peace and security and justice are not endangered, and to refrain in their international relations from the threat or use of force in any manner inconsistent with the purposes of this Alliance.

Article 2
The Parties will contribute toward the further development of peaceful and friendly international relations by strengthening their free institutions, by bringing about a better understanding of the principles upon which these institutions are founded, and by promoting conditions of stability and well-being. They will seek to eliminate conflict in their international economic policies and will encourage economic collaboration between any or all of them.

Article 3
In order more effectively to achieve the objectives of this Treaty, the Parties, separately and jointly, by means of continuous and effective self-help and mutual aid, will maintain and develop their individual and collective capacity to resist armed attack.

Article 4
The Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.

Article 5
The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in any part of the world shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the territories of the Parties.

Article 6
For the purpose of Article 5, an armed attack on one or more of the Parties is deemed to include an armed attack:
on the territory of any of The Traansval, The Manticoran Empire, Norcourt, or the Twelve Isles and any lands and territories claimed hereafter;
on the forces, vessels, or airships of any of the Parties, when in or over these territories or any other area in the world in which occupation forces of any of the Parties were stationed on the date when the Treaty entered into force or personnel, to include civilians and diplomats, who are victims of armed transgressions by a foreign power or organizations affiliated with a foreign power.

Article 7

Any State so invited may become a Party to the Treaty by depositing its instrument of accession with the Government of The Manticoran Empire. The Government of The Manticoran Empire will inform each of the Parties of the deposit of each such instrument of accession.

The instruments of ratification shall be deposited as soon as possible with the Government of The Manticoran Empire, which will notify all the other signatories of each deposit. NATION INFORMATION

Nation name: The Australan Empire

National goals: Expand

Nation's Leader: Emperor Izaak McLean

National Government: The Australan Empire is a Stratocracy, with the Military serving as the Government as embodied in the Constitution of 1710, following the rule and overthrow of King Edwin the Insane. The Government is led by the Emperor, who is elected by the Council of General Officers for life and is ALWAYS a member of the Armed Forces. In addition, military officers hold all government positions and only former servicemen have any political rights. The Council of General Officers is the "legislative" branch of the government, tasked with creating and implementing policy for the Empire. Two members of the Council serve as the First Lord of the Admiralty and the Chief of the General Staff. While the Admiralty and the General Staff have no political power, they are often times a route for officers to become a part of the Council. However, merit is the driving force in the Imperial government, as the rule of King Edwin showed that hereditary rule is disastrous and the short-lived Council of the People was an bureaucratic disaster. As such, officers are selected for the Admiralty, General Staff, and Council of General Officers based on merit and merit alone.

National history: In 1650, King Edwin the Insane rose to the Throne of the Australun Kingdom, beginning a ten year reign of terror (Think Joffery from Game of Thrones) that resulted in the murder of over two million people. In 1655, the military had decided they had had enough of Edwin's antics and led a revolt against him. Over the next five years, the Military supported a civilian government that intended to install a new king, though, by 1657, the military decided a king was a bad idea, leading to an agreement to install a less authoritarian government. In 1660, King Edwin was captured and executed for crimes against the Kingdom. The Council of the People attempted to rebuild however, by 1700, it became apparent that the Council of the People was failing. As a result, military leaders began to advocate for a new constitution, one which would put the military in control. For many years, military leaders had been elected to rule the country, following the tradition of the first Supreme Councilor, who had been the General who commanded the rebel armies. With the support of the Supreme Councilor, the Constitution of 1710 reformed the government from a Republic to a Stratocracy. Since 1710, the Australun Empire has sought to strengthen themselves against hostile aggression, building a powerful army and large navy as well as a fanatically nationalist population.
