"Kayora we have need of you"
Amidst the smoldering embers, it wouldn't be hard for her to press up against a wall, let the others pass, and investigate. The PCU John had given her would also need some investigating, but that would take time and privacy... It, like almost every Congrevetopian piece of electronics, was intrinsically networked with Nexus, allowing her to perhaps find some answers... Outside, a nearby thunderclap reminded her of painful memories, as she instimctively took shelter from the storm, inside the burning and sinking airship... even as it filled with smoke. She had to find Lieghton...

There was no feeling like the air rushing across her skin as she flew through the open sky the warm sun shining on her. She suddenly paused as a couple of the trees below her flashed different colours for a moment before returning to normal
In a dimly lit room filled with computer screens several men started scrambling there fingers flying across keys entering line after line of diagnostic code
"Someone want to tell me what the hell that was?"
"We are checking now sir. But it would appear to be a minor software glitch"
"Software glitch? The system was supposed to be isolated"
"It is. We are trying to get a better idea of what happened"
"What about the subject?"
Kayora stared at the trees for a moment longer before moving on dropping to the ground to search through the trees more closely. as she walked around on her search it slowly began clouding over until the sky had turned black and the wind had picked up and the weather continued to worsen, it started raining and there was the odd thunder clap which actually scared her making her heart rate increase as she huddled under a tree to avoid the rain she hated the thunder and being wet and now she was out in both and she wasn't liking it with every thunderclap startling her
"Can you stop it or not?"
"No sir. Whoever programmed it knew what they where doing. Its rewriting its self as it moves through the system"
"Pull the plug!"
The airship, however, was in a precariously unstable state. Beams were starting to buckle, rivets popped, welds cracked, and structural members were soon crashing down and punching holes into the floor. She did her best to avoid these hazards as she braved the inferno that no engulfed the previously-clear escape-route.
Kayora screamed as a flash of lightning hit close to her flinching at the immediate thunder that went with it
"Someone get in there yank it manually!" it wasn't the best option as there was the risk of damage to the subjects neural pathways but it was a damn sight better than having her brain cooked by an electrical overload
She screamed again as another strike hit near her again she took off running the lightning strangely seeming to following her as she ran
Kayora jumped backwards and fell down screaming as lightning hit right in front of her she huddled in the fetal position for a moment before looking up to see a bolt of lighting coming right at her.
Deeper in, the halls were already starting to flood with icy water as he passed several dead bodies that were shaken loose from the computer-room during the crash. Lieghton had to be near here somewhere... A large beam was blocking her path, even in her exoskeleton, she'd already spent the emergency-boost for her frame... She had to find another way through the twisted wreckage...
The sudden shock of cold water on her face woke her up enough to see that the rear door had been knocked open and water was rapidly filling the inside sure to drown everyone. She forced herself up and out of the van only to be carried down the river by the current not being able to swim against it due to her weakened state only to wash up tired and exhausted on a riverbank somewhat farther down stream.
Working through John's PCU, he worked out a message to send to Nexus, to send to someone it hopefully didn't know...

Re: Calno?
Looks like I'll be getting some time off thanks to Nexus... Sooooo... mind coming over to the usual place? Bring Santa, their number is #-###-###-####.
I look forwards to seeing your smile.
Best wishes,
Your better half,
John
Kayora had kept in-touch with the hyper-religious Hurti-trained man-hating sniper ever since the Shizuku-incident in Foxlandish, even through the course of 3 false deaths and several more false identities. They were both mildly amused at how close they'd come to meeting each other during each of their missions, but also thankful they never had to line each other up in their crosshairs... aside from that one time.
