Here is the Backstory:

October 18th, 2019. Kundistan, a moderate regional power in former Iran, began an ethnic cleansing of minority groups within its territory. Economic and military international superpower, The NGU, springs into action upon hearing the news and orders the Kundistan government to immediately cease their ethnic cleansing. The NGU placed a blockade near Kundistan waters and awaited for an official response. The three major factions of McFreedomstan, an Asian military and economic power, feared further western colonization and contested the blockade. The Democratic States of Taekhuman and The Free Land of Kannsa-minnesota formally condemned the ethnic cleansing and severed all diplomatic relations with Kundistan. Both nations threatened military action if the genocide continued. The Militant Drugstore of Walgreens condemned the nations intervening in Kundistan and offered to sell arms to Kundistan.

After reports of escalated casualties in Kundistan from a boastful Kundistani government, The Free Land of Kannsa-minnesota and The NGU created a joint task-force and began strategic bombing of Kundistan infrastructure. Factional governments of McFreedomstan offered discounted military contracts from their Junior Infantry Corps™ and anti-air artillery. The State of Worris, a massive global military power, gave their official support over the escalated ethnic cleansing but took no further action. Several days passed until the Kundistan government gave an official response, it would not yield to The NGU demands. In fact, it openly stated that it had devoted resources to stirring insurgent groups in Auzia and boasted about the most recent casualty count. Seeking a quick and efficient end to the situation, The NGU put a 3 day ultimatum on Kundistan to cease all hostilities before strategic warheads came into play. For the first time since its war of independence, a unified McFreedomstan took action against a foreign government. McFreedomstan fleets surrounded the NGU province of Pečing and threatened Annexation if The NGU escalated things further. The United Socialist States of Sietsk threw their verbal support behind Kundistan's actions, but did not commit resources to their cause. The NGU retaliated against the factions of McFreedomstan by banning their corporate franchises from NGU territory and embargoing all McFreedomstan imports. The NGU also threatened a military invasion of McFreedomstan if any McFreedomstan troops set foot on Pečing. Factional leadership in McFreedomstan did not back down and stuck to their initial threat of annexation.

All the while the nation of Taekhuman announced it's quest for nuclear strategic weapons and a bold annexation plan of uranium rich coastal Chinese territory. Having military superiority over The Democratic States of Taekhuman, the factional governments of McFreedomstan contested some of their land claims but refrained from using military force for the time being.

With tensions rising as the NGU ultimatum draws near, the powder keg of APSIA threatens to blow at any moment.

The stage is set for conflict and intrigue. Hold onto your hats and don't copy and paste Noxtrem's format from his last RP!

The Minister of the Treasury, Ala'ikh Mekhel, in wake of his re-election campaign, is negotiating with Walgreens for missiles.

The Senate met in an emergency meeting today to finalize action against Kundistan. In the emergency meeting, the Senate voted on taking military action against Kundistan. The resolution passed 387 to 113.

The ruling National-Liberty coalition has claimed that military action against Kundistan is the "Rightest duty of Kannsa-Minnesota." They claim that we are helping the oppressed peoples of Kundistan. However, opponents of the resolution claim that this will drag Kannsa-Minnesota into an unnecessary war. Senator James Parker is among these opponents. "A war with Kundistan will cost Kannsa-Minnesota billions of Braxtons, and will jeopardize our trading routes with Middle Eastern countries." Senator Parker said, " A war with them will cause thousands of Kannsa-Minnesotans dying for a war that does not effect them."

Chancellor Nick Watson is still very much in favor of the war saying, " We Kannsa-Minnesotans cannot allow the genocide of innocent people." " These people are just like us, they go to work, they have children, it is only right for Kannsa-Minnesota to do this." The Chancellor is currently working with the NGU to send a joint-task force to overthrow the Kundistan government. We at The Denver Star wish the best for our country during this time of turmoil. We hope that our country will only remained united in this conflict. May God be with us.

"The rumors are true in that uranium mining in Taekhuman has ended as of yet."

The President takes a pause before continuing, as the gasps fill the room.
Is he ending his offensive against Kundistan? Is he going to cede the claimed land to McFreedomstan? Is he going to go through with the Walgreensian negotiations?

"The rumors are also true in that we have not reached our quota for the nuclear bomb; we are at 13,000 out of 23,000 so far."
"However, we still hope to annex the claimed land to increase uranium production to the point of completing the project."

The President takes another pause and ignores the reporters' questions.

"We have also completed the main part of the dirty missile project. We are now waiting on Walgreens for further negotiations."
"Thank you and good night, we will not be taking any questions."

The President, heavily guarded, steps out of the room and into his taxi.
Reporters are blocked by the Xim Protection Agency guards.

No-one knows what will happen next.

Message to all ADC members

As stipulated in the tri-factional agreement, a minimum of 70 warships must be present within 40 nautical miles of Pečing. CIWS is preferred, but enough Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates are present in the theater to sufficiently contest most conventional SSM platforms. Refueling will be available in Borneo and Hainan, though it is recommended to radio in ahead of time to prevent an inter-factional incident.

Regional factions who cannot commit warships (of at least corvette class) are asked to commit ground forces to the Taiwanese and Hainan territory. Military passage has been granted to all ADC members. Any disputes are to be handled by ADC ambassadors. Pre-existing disputes will have to wait until a solution to the NGU problem is found. Regional arms manufacturers will be provided with ADC bonds for all sales as currency needs to be preserved for troop wages. Ambassadors and faction leadership are asked to keep this information off of personal devices and stick to the intranet.

This morning, during the time when most of us would be driving to work and dodging DShK fire from rival warlords, a strange peace took place. For those of you out of the loop, it seems that our three major faction unions deemed the NGU saber rattling as a bigger priority than their usual territorial squabbles. Why? That's anyone's guess at this point. But the impact of this impromptu coalition isn't just reserved to Java. Our sister companies in Borneo and the Northeastern islands have been spotting former rivals drilling together, albeit not without some signs of resentment by both parties. As always, keep buying papers and we'll keep printing them. For now we'll leave you with a few more shots that our reporters managed to scrounge up.

Popular support for another war at record lows
The Roberts regime of the Nationalist Gold Union has yet again poised itself towards another possibly dangerous foreign policy decision as of late -- that being the actions being taken against the Kundistani genocide.

Ever since the government of Kundistan started murdering its own civilians, the NGU objected both economically and diplomatically. All trade between Kundistan and the NGU has been cut off, and missiles are pointed from Cairo to the Kundistani government buildings. The NGU offered an ultimatum towards Kundistan: stop genociding innocents or be flattened by several intercontinental ballistic missiles. This sparked a feud with McFreedomstan, whose government supports the Kundistani genocide. The McFreedomstanian government has threatened to invade Peching, a Chinese colony of the NGU, if they send missiles towards Kundistan.

Chancellor Roberts has made it very clear that if McFreedomstan steps foot on NGU soil, they will be invaded and that "they're an insignificant chain of watered-down jungle islands with no significant power." However, the McFreedomstanian government has refused to stand down.

Popular support for another war after a short peace time is very low -- whether or not the NGU military will even carry through with the bombing is questionable.

With morale low and national unity crippled, the newly elected chancellor will either change or retain the foreign policy of the nation. Whether or not this policy will be violent or diplomatic is unknown yet.

President Akha'ae recently announced that, among the internal indecision in other nations, Taekhuman's path forward is clear.

"[W]e still hope to annex the claimed land," said President Akha'ae, referring to the as of yet unoccupied provinces plentiful in uranium, namely 597, 598, 600, 602, 603, 605, 614, 615, and 622.

The Ministry of Expansion has sent 5000 troops to the area to start claiming the easiest-to-reach land, provinces 597 and 598. However, they will not cross 595 and 596 to reach 600 and 606, as this is land claimed by McFreedomstan.

In other news, the Ministry of Expansion has also sent explorers to old New Caledonia to meet the indigenous tribes and, hopefully, make peace.

They are not unreasonable, however. They have the means to aid a nation such as yourself in taking, defending, and developing this coastal 
territory. In fact, they've offered to aid your nation in seizing the following territories: 592, 593, 594, 599, 598, 600, 606, 610, 613, 615, 622, 
716, and 728. They will also recognize these lands as sovereign Taekhuman land and intervene by force if another nation wishes to contest that 
fact. In exchange for all those perks, they ask for the following:

- Taekhuman Nuclear research and strategic resources will be shared with the McFreedomstan Asian Defense Commission. Taekhuman will be compensated for its work.
- Taekhuman will enter a defensive pact with the McFreedomstan Asian Defense Commission.

Mull it over, but don't take too long. There's 210,000 bored infantrymen in Hainan who might just take it upon themselves to claim the coast for

Greetings Commandant,

The Legislature and I have considered your associates' offer, and we would like to negotiate.

Believing that their provincial plan separates coastal old China in halves, and serves to increase the perimeters
around the territories, we see the plan already fit such that negotiation is unnecessary.

We would like to negotiate on the sharing of nuclear research and strategic resources. Our proposed terms are that
both nations (Taekhuman and McFreedomstan) should share these resources between each other.

We are open to entering the proposed defensive pact. In fact, the Legislature is drafting agreements as we speak.
Or rather, as we email.

We have never disputed any nation's territory as of yet, and we do not intend to any time soon. As such, we will
of course recognize the referred-to land as McFreedomstan's sole territory.

The Taekhumanian government has recently announced plans to join the coalition formed by the Nationalist Gold Union and Kannsa-minnesota. Within the hours of this announcement, many governmental critics have boldly spoken out against this horror.

Killings in Kundistan

The public in Senatos is on the Streets as reports are coming in that ethnic minorties are being cleansed by the Kundistan government. The Caesar even published a speech openly condemning the massacres and demanding a reaction of Maxima Konsulus Jens Stahl.
After a makeshift meeting of the Imperial Senate, Jens Stahl now finally stood before the people of Senatos to confirm the senate's stance:
"The ethnic cleansings in Kundistan are a crime against all of humanity. We cannot stand for such mass-murder of innocent civilians. Therefore Senatos oficially denounces this criminal activity by the Kundistan government and demands immediate halting of all such actions."
Many Senatosians are calling for a reorganization of the Kundistan government, by force if necessary, while some parts only call for an annexation of bordering territories in order to protect their landsmen.

ADC troops pour into the Chinese Coast

After waiting for days in Hainan with no official orders, the BUCA Expeditionary Force received the go ahead from ADC command to seize Guangxi and Guangdong. Similar orders were handed out to MSD, IMDF, and HDRC forces who've moved further north. Lieutenant Commander Joko Widodo of the Asian Defense Commission commented that in agreement with The Union of Property Owners, The Board of Directors, and The Union of Technological Conglomerates, the entirety of the Chinese coast would taken under the McFreedomstan banner. When asked about Pečing, the Commander stated that the ADC would respect its territorial boundaries so long as the NGU refrains from using strategic weapons in Kundistan. The Commander also stated that Taekhuman claims to coastal territory would be ignored, but ADC troops would remain neutral against their expeditionary force unless fired upon.

In what may be related news, Great General Don Cortez from the state of Worris has gone on record to denounce the actions of Kundistan and secede Aravia to the NGU. President Akha'ae today has announced the finished construction of just two B-52 bombers in the best (and only) military factory in the country. This is a first as Taekhuman has usually kept a pacifist stance. These bombers are, according to Akha'ae (quote), "in tip top shape" (end-quote). These bombers are supposed to repeatedly drop dirty bombs and (a) nuclear bomb, according to Akha'ae.

African Colonies Become Increasingly Militarized

Military officials commented, confirming reports of inceased troop activity in Noxrem's African Colonies. One military intelligence official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated that at least 1,700 men are in the process of training. He also stated that 2 companies of Special Operations Forces are overseeing military operations and training along the border with Sietsk's african colonies. If all of this is true, it adds to a grand total of over 2,300 troops stationed in the colony. The increase is said to be in reaction to seemingly hostile stances taken by Sietsk and Kundistan in response to international outrage. These increased military activities are going to be the last actions taken by Chancellor Dexrel Kallig, who lost a reelection attempt to the far right candidate Angela Petry. Mrs. Petry will take officer on New Year's Day. Chancellor Kallig's presidency has been turbulent. Particularly during last years Austrian Crisis, where military action was taken against the Ajuran Sultanate, and Zvendiyn. Although the conflict has stagnated, it has still left the borders between Noxtrem and Walgreens conflicted. Mrs. Petry ran a campaign on sorting out the issue of borders, and has stated that she will uphold the military policies taken by Chancellor Kallig, and she will keep Noxtrem in the Anti-Kundistan Coalition. Angela Petry will be the first female Chancellor in Noxtremian History.

Chemistraitors?

President Akha'ae called on amateur chemists to produce nitroglycerin (dynamite) and trinitrotoluene (TNT) for the state along with state-owned factories, using state-supplied resources only. Critics of the Akha'ae administration have called this an "impromptu militia incitement" and a "terrorist haven creation attempt".

One prominent critic is right-wing commentator and CEO of 'Nkhet Industries Alaesi 'Nkhet, popularly known as "Alison GET": "Because of this, more immigrants are coming! GET anti-alien knives! GET body shields! GET Kevlar suits! GET these items from 'Nkhet Anti-Alien Industries! GET aliens out!"
