Introduction

Name of Nation (short form): 'Bears Armed'.

Name of Nation (full version): 'The Confederated Clans of the Free Bears of Bears Armed'.

Basic system of government: Confederation.

National government: The High Council of Clans.

Head of State: the Chairbear of the High Council of Clans
(currently = Beorra o Berrum, Clan BlackBear).

Head of Government: the Chairbear of the 'Committee for Little Bear'
(currently = Beorra o Berrum, Clan BlackBear).

Capital City: Council Groves.

Official 'national' languages: Ursine, English.

'National' religion: 'One Plus Seven'.

Population size: somewhere between 18 million & 19 million, divided c. 6:1 between the Mainland & the Northlands.

Population composition: Ursines (assorted) c.95%, Harr'aynau (humanoids) c.01½%, Humans c.01½%, SmithFolk c.01½%, others (assorted) c.00½%.

If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.
