Introduction
The year is 194 AC, ten years after the death of Aegon IV Targaryen and the ascension of his son Daeron II. On his deathbed, he legitmized all his bastards bringing the Great Bastards to great power in the game of thrones. Several years would go by, and after the marriage of Daenerys Targaryen to Maron Martell the region of Dorne was finally brought into the Seven Kingdoms, something Aegon I Targaryen, Daeron I Targaryen and Aegon IV could not. The most well know of all the Great Bastards, Daemon Blackfyre was granted the legendary Valyrian Steel Sword wielded by the many Targaryen Kings before him by his father. Many lords believe the sword symbolizes the monarchy and whispers have grown that Daemon should be King, with his mother being Daena Targaryen and Aegon IV giving him as much claim as Daeron. To add to this, the rumor of Daeron's parentage has been called into question yet again, with some believing his father to be Aemon "The Dragonknight" and not Aegon IV.
Daeron has tried to keep the peace between his half brothers and himself, yet many people hold allegiance for Daemon with Daemon being the perfect warrior-king, an almost reincarnation of Aegon "The Conqueror". With this, many lords still feel anger towards Dorne for the many lives lost, with Daemon being speculated to hold the same ideals as his father and mother toward the Dornish many seek to gain vengeance against the Dornish.
Daemon and the Great Bastards still reside in the Red Keep, under the watchful eye of Bloodraven however that may soon change. The seeds have been sown and soon the Red Dragon will be at the Black Dragon's throat. Will you side with the King who sits the Throne, or the King who Wields the Sword?
This will be a character driven RP, with significant factional, political, and military aspects. Can you win the Game of Thrones?
There are a few Rules to follow:
1) The OP and Co-ops are Gods, their word is law.
2) This is a fantasy RP but try and be realistic. Travel time, combat, and politicking are all important, don't go too crazy
3) No god modding, metagaming etc.
4) This is going to be a freeform RP, time will vary between posts.
5) This will be an RP based on character development and progression, do not expect storylines to develop for you, make your own and involve other players. If you are stuck with nothing to do, OP/CO-OP will give your a task or an idea.
6) Keep the Lore restricted to A Song of Ice and Fire material only
7) Please keep characters in the Free Cities, Westeros and the Stepstones. If character are all the way over in let's say Yi Ti they wouldn't get much interaction.
8 ) Have FUN
And now we move on to the character creation stage.
You may make your own house, however, they will be subject to stringent review, and canon houses are preferred. A new house may invent a new castle, but will not be able to take over lands or titles from a canon house. Your application will not be accepted until all fields are filled out.
