Another exciting year in R/D is winding down...
So here we are again! Round 2, let's roll:
The 2016 Gameplay Awards

FAQ:
Q: Is the Gameplay Awards an annual event?
A: Yes!
Q: You don't look exactly the same as the host from last year. How do we know this is legitimate?
A: You don't. I made both nations "2015 Gameplay Awards" and "2016 Gameplay Awards" to anticipate someone stealing the name nearly a year ago. Turns out this action was a double-edged sword, because I've forgotten the password to both nations. Just go with it.

Q: Will you be including more categories for this year?
A: Funny how you asked. Now that the last month of 2016 is rolling around, I've made this thread so that we may discuss this very prospect for a period of time before nominations begin. Last year, some people wanted a couple awards for those not involved in raider/defender gameplay, but still involved in other aspects under the Gameplay umbrella. Now's your chance to pipe up!

For reference, see here for The Gameplay Awards 2015.
The following are the categories with their respective winners from last year:

Most Influential Gameplayer: Cormac Stark
Best Raider: Ever-Wandering Souls
Best Defender: Benevolent Thomas
Best Up-and-Coming Raider: Knot
Best Up-and-Coming Defender: Red Dusk
Best Invader Organization: The Black Hawks
Best Defender Organization: The Spiritus Defense Force
Invasion of the Year: The Greater German Reich
Liberation of the Year: Lazarus
Noteworthy Event of the Year: The Introduction of Regional Officers

Nominations will open on the 12/15. Remember, now's your chance to suggest additions, removals, or changes to the Nomination Ticket.... so speak now or forever hold your peace.

You may nominate anyone or anything by posting in this thread. You may nominate multiple nominees. An explanation for why you chose the nominee is optional but encouraged. Please use the above ticket for your nomination.
Someone else must nominate your nominee to be officially nominated.
Nominations will remain open from 12/17 to 12/27 at 11:59 EST.
Voting will be take place from 12/27 to 12/31 at 11:59 EST. Public votes in this thread and private votes TG'd to Gameplay Awards 2016 during the aforementioned time period will be counted.

I think something for natives would be nice for them, get that one good deed in for the year. Some category along the lines of best native defense or best native counter to raids. Something like that.

Stats are heavily biased towards older nations, it would just be the same people winning the same things every year.
