America 2016: Race for the Presidency - IC/Signups

Postby Lorragen » Sun Nov 27, 2016 2:49 pm

Current Date: August 1st 2015

The Barack Obama administration had been great for some, terrible for many, and eh for a lot of people as well. The economy was in ruins, the Islamic State was on the rise, the border was undefended and several social issues such as abortion, gun control and same-sex marriage were still hot topics for many. With a shifting demographic, a left-leaning millennial population opposed to the establishment and growing support for the Libertarian and Green parties, the future of American politics was about to be changed forever. Several Republicans and Democrats have announced their candidacy, to similar responses as previous candidates from the main two parties, however several people are now seeking the candidacy for third parties, and have had announced it to a lot more support than in previous years. America's future is changing.

Current Polls

(Based on Party)
Republican - 277
Democrat - 263

Daniel A. Rowes - North Carolina
James Munche - Alaska
Daniel Lawrence Robichaux - Pennsylvania
George Theodore Hudson - Indiana

Marion Collard - Louisiana
Frani Marzollo - California
Michael Blakesless - Vermont
Richard Martin Quinn - New Jersey
Emiliano Salinas - California

Aidan Jay Carter (Independent) - Ohio
Harold Pearson (Libertarian) - Pennsylvania

Convention Center, Indianapolis, Indiana
Senator Hudson stood in front of the lectern, waiting for the dulled murmurs of the reporters and the flashing cameras to cease before he spoke.

"Thank you, thank you," he said politely, taking a moment to adjust his tie. "I have asked you all here because I wish to share an important announcement." A very faint smirk creased his lips as he sensed the tension created with only those few words. "Although I have been your senator to the United States Congress for only a few years, my time there has demonstrated to me that the United States is in serious jeopardy, being run by those that prefer to lead from behind and enrich themselves at the expense of their constituents." He paused for a moment as a few murmurs purveyed his audience. "I ran for the Senate in 2012 because I want to fix what is wrong with America, and I have come to the conclusion that America needs a person that will get the job done, regardless of how popular the tough decisions are to make." He deliberately paused again as the murmurs began to grow a little louder. "That is why I am announcing today the formation of an exploratory committee to run for President of the United States in next year's election," he revealed, sparking a much louder cacophony of questions and comments from the reporters and media sensationalists that were present. "I want," he continued, gesturing for silence from the increasingly restless crowd, "to help America become what it has always been envisioned to be; a land of freedom, a land of prosperity, and a land of righteous citizens that work together for the common good. And with your help-" he was interrupted as a small applause broke out as a result of his last sentence. "-with your help, I intend to fight for every one of you to make this vision a reality once again. Thank you." He gave a wave as he stepped away from the podium, adjusting his tie again as one of his aides came over to debrief him on his committee's actions in the hour since it had been founded.

Seattle, Washington
General Munche walked up to the podium in full military attire and he spoke "America needs a true leader. We need someone who can and will put America first. The war in the middle east was a mess, after we got out we left the region in shambles and didnt rebuild which left even more anti-american sentiment world wide. Our jobs have been out sourced, and the American people need change. Now I know what i said sound generic but believe me You will get the experience as an insider from and outsider. I know how Capitol hill works because of my dealings with many of our fine politicians on both sides of the political spectrum. America, I want to be the driving force for our rise again to the top. We used to be the best in the world for science, military, peace, and many other things. Now we only hold a few titles of the best. That needs to change! I am here to help all Americans everywhere. I want to bring back jobs and help this country more than i already have!" With that he stood straight and spoke his final words "We will build a stronger America, for a stronger tomorrow."

Robichaux Farm, south of Pittsburgh

In the large yard preceding the brick house of the Robichaux family, constructed in 1831, Pennsylvania Congressman Dan Robichaux stood at the door. A podium in front of him had upon it a sheet with some brief notes on the topics he needed to cover. By his side was his wife, Diane, his son, 25-year old Joshua and his 20-year old daughter Emma. A small crowd was gathered around the podium, mostly assorted campaign staff, invited guests and reporters. They clapped as he took the stage, smiling and waving.

"Good afternoon, everyone! Welcome, welcome! I hope you're all comfy," he opened. "Welcome to Robichaux farm, built by my many-times great grandfather Alain. The farm is a product of the American dream- a young Quebecer, eldest of the bunch, sought a new life away from it all, his own success to make. With five dollars and the clothes on his back, he set out across America, experiencing all there was to see and do, before planting his roots in Pennsylvania, with this farm. The family he went on to found is like many others in America- built on the success, dedication, commitment and hard work our ancestors. Whether your family came with the pilgrims, the Irish or if you're first generation, we're all proud to be Americans, and to call this wonderful country our home."

Light applause came from the crowd. Dan smiled and leaned forward on the podium.

"It's this patriotic love that has sustained our country for centuries. American values, the idea that you can be anything you want to be if you work for it, a society where the right of all people are protected and defended. The shining city on a hill, our Republic has influenced the course of world history in ways the founding fathers never would've imagined. We've been a guiding light toward freedom and democracy across continents, even throughout our own struggles. It's motivational figures and the stubborn determination of the spirit of '76, embodied in our heroes like Washington, Lincoln, Martin Luther King, enshrined in our constitution, that makes these United States the best nation in the world.

"In my years as a Pittsburgh city councillor, and your representative in Congress, I have never lost touch with these values. I've met so many hardworking people across the country, and in our great state of Pennsylvania," he emphasized that last part as the state natives clapped. "And I've given it my all during my life to embody that. To protect and defend the rights we cherish and the prosperity we enjoy, uniquely American. It's what inspired me to take a stand for the second amendment when it was threatened by D.C. lobbyists who are detached from the struggles of the common person. It inspired me to stand for tougher sanctions against Russian aggression against their neighbors, to defend the freedom and stability of our European allies. A commitment to America and its wonderful people, by the grace of God, drives who I am and what I do. And today, I'm here to bring you all with me as I seek to help our nation in a new way."

More clapping, with a spot of wind drowning out the clacking of reporters' cameras.

"For the last eight years, and some could argue that this goes back decades, we've seen the people in charge of this country grow out of touch with where they came from. They see export deals that benefit their donors, which puts money in politicians' pockets instead of that of common people, as more beneficial than helping the working middle class of our country, the backbone of our economy. They see obstruction for political gain being a more worthy tactic than actually working to get the American people a fair shake in life. I've been to Washington, and I've taken the rugged integrity and American attitude of self-determination with me. I've worked across the aisle for common sense solutions that help our people, help our working class.

Over the last few years, we've seen the working class of this country decimated, by greed, waste and unfair deals. From NAFTA to the carefree recklessness that caused our financial crisis, to the whimsical overspending for idealistic principles in our current administration that doesn't actually have visible benefits. And as outsiders looking in, it's not hard to tell that people all over the country are outraged at what they've been seeing from our government. I've spent the better part of a decade observing and participating in the machinations and schemes of our politicians. It's not pretty. But throughout that all, I have applied my core principles and commitment to my constituents to my work. I've opposed those who seek to unnecessarily restrict our second amendment rights, to dictate how you pay your insurance, to raise your taxes to fund foreign wars that aren't at all in our peoples' interests.

I was born a few miles north in the great city of Pittsburgh, to a steel worker and a stay-at-home mom. I grew up seeing the firsthand effects of the decline of American manufacturing. Washington has let our industry slide in favor of trade deals that send money to the top. It's a vicious cycle of corruption and lack of conscience. This has shattered our faith in the legislative system and made so many Americans cynical about their future. I reject that. There is hope for the American worker, from the fast-food cashier to the cattle farmer, to the windmill worker and the electrical engineers. And to bring that hope to the national stage and clean up our country, for these reasons, I am announcing my bid to be the President of the United States."

The main applause came at that point, as Dan grinned widely to the cameras, which clicked at a furious pace. His family smiled and looked around, happy to be in the moment. A few people in the crowd pulled out signs with his name on it, and a slogan- ROBICHAUX: A FAIR SHAKE FOR OUR FUTURE.

"I'm embarking on this journey out of a passion for the things that make America great. To right the wrongs of this administration, and clean up the swamp in Washington. If I make it to the Oval Office, we're going to be focusing on you, the farmer, the blue-collar worker, the small business owner, the chef, foreman, manufacturer, the taxi driver, the teacher. The American. I'm going to work on making us a force for good on the world stage, but more than that, on fixing the problems we have at home like our declining manufacturing base and crumbling infrastructure, with common sense solutions that appeal to everyone. I'm going to do my damndest keep your taxes down, your income up and your job steady. I'll work with Congress to repeal Obamacare and drive down premiums, while making sure you can't get denied for pre-existing conditions. I want to be a President for the American everyman, for our workers and the job creators in our country. Under a Robichaux administration, we'll be keeping the middle class strong, while enabling the wealthy to give back and help the poorest among us rise. I believe in fiscally conservative solutions to keep our deficit down, and Medicare reform, as well as a host of other things. Immigration reform, to keep our borders safe while making it easier for legal migrants to gain citizenship. Tax reform, to ease the burden on the middle class and help the backbone of our economy bounce back stronger.

I intend to run an issues-focused campaign for the people and by the people. I'd like to thank you all for showing up today, and welcome you to the first day of a brighter future."

Burlington, VT

After finishing his open discussion with supporters in a large park in Burlington, Blakeslee adjourns the assembly with a speech reaffirming his decision to run for president.

"It is a such a pleasure to see so many young people who are enthusiastic about government, and truly care about the future of this nation. As we have discussed today, many of you know that I have decided to run for president this year. And with a so many voters as strong as the crowd I have met today, I have no doubts in my mind that we, together, can build a nation that works for everyone. I know it is still fresh in everyone's minds - even the youngest of you here, those who cannot vote even, how the richest in this country continue to wrong the working and middle classes - whether it be through lobbying against a living wage for every person, or setting up these disastrous trade agreements that have decimated American jobs in the Rust Belt! Not only this, but they continue to fund the elections of the same old, same old - these professional politicians who have no connection to the American people, those who live in these fine mansions, far away from the people they claim to represent! I swear to you all, this practice will stop under my presidency; we will make this country work for everyone, and I hope that you allow me to try this for us. Thank you all very much for having me."

Blakeslee exits the stage to thunderous applause from his small gathering of supporters, as the local media floods into the crowds to interview supporters.
I live in Vermont. You can call me Sam. Nation doesn't entirely reflect my views.
I'm a bad leftist.

LtGen. Munche
Fort Lewis-Mchord Jointbase, WA
He was driving in his Classic Army staff car which was made in the 50s. he and his campaign adviser who was a former democrat spoke up "Your statement was weak compared to others. We need a solid plan. We need to go with the Southern Strategy and win over the South. Next we could hit up the rust belt and talk to them about thier struggles and talk to them level to level. We need to present you as the every man who is devoted to his nation. next we need to hit up key states like New york and California. If we take those from the Dems the election is in thr bag. I suggest we bring in the Legal immigrant votes, along with the centrist votes, we need to ditch the bible thumpers and focus on the future generations of America." General Munche looked and spoke "We can have our supporters going door to door asking what we can do for them, and offer a amnesty to all legal immigrants who have been here for 5 or more years with no criminal records." His campaign advisor looked and spoke "That just might work." Munche piled on "We also need to be seen as Bi-partisan aswell to get those in-betweeners."

FOX News: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Senator George Hudson made his first formal campaign stop today in Fort Wayne, where he delivered a speech to a crowd of about 2,000 at the University of Indiana-Fort Wayne. He lauded the students of the college in his opening remarks, noting their education was imperative for the education of the next generations:

"...America needs teachers. Good teachers. Because without them, we cannot ensure that the new generations will be as educated as the last. I want to make sure that everyone that desires to instruct the generation after them has the ability and forthright knowledge to do so, to ensure that we can continue to move forward as a nation..."

Hudson also touched on the issue of church and state, which has divided Indiana since the passing of the Religious Freedoms Act by Governor Pence in 2014:

"...Whether you agree or not, Christianity comprises the religious majority of this nation. And you cannot argue that its influence has directed our nation's government in the past and the present. As Alexander Hamilton once stated, were humanity perfect, government would not be needed. But if we must have a government, we should base it on the wholly good principles of the religion that has bound the United States together for most of its existence..."

Hudson has already attracted controversy in the same speech, when he hinted that he would work to overturn both Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges if elected:

"...I believe strongly in the sanctity of life, and the sanctity of marriage. The Supreme Court has behaved as though these mean nothing, however. And I can promise you that it is my intention to ensure that corrective measures be taken in both of these instances as soon as possible."

Hudson is due to return to Washington next week to serve in the last term of the Senate before the Labor Day holiday, whereafter he has stated his intention to begin campaigning in Iowa.

Charlotte, North Carolina, the United States of America

It was a warm, summer day in Charlotte, NC. Daniel Anderson Rowes, Governor of the State, finished getting ready in a backroom of a hotel, near to the Charlotte Convention Center, where his first rally since running for re-election three years ago would be held. He stared in the mirror as he did up his tie, his face emotionless as he knew what he was about to do was right.

"I love you and the kids... I know this is stressful, but it has to be done..." he said quietly to his wife sitting behind him.
"Darling... it's fine, do what must be done... we can't have another god-hating democrat in office." she replied, faking her support
"Thanks dear..." he put on his jacket and motioned for her to follow him.

Outside the hotel, two dozen or so reporters and journalists were waiting, flashing their cameras as he put on a half assed, nervous looking smile for them.

"Governor Rowes can we ask you a few questions?" and "Governor is it true you're running for the Republican nomination?" were the questions they all asked. He ignored them all though, just nodding at them and saying hello, as he got into his car. It drove five minutes, and he arrived at the convention center to around 3,000 supporters. From behind the room, he could hear the crowd, talking between each other as they awaited Rowes. He breathed in, and out, then walked into the room to a loud applause.

"Good evening. I'm here tonight to announce my intention to seek the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Those were the words of our former president, the late, and great, Ronald Wilson Reagan. He was the last great republican in our country, he was for the people and didn't submit himself to big banks and corporations, and he ended the cold war. He is to me, an inspiration, and everyday I aspire to be like two people; him, and Jesus Christ. If I want to be like Reagan though, I'm going to have to do what he did - and become president, of the United States of America. Obviously, that's not gonna happen overnight. It's something that requires several traits to do successfully - courage, stamina, intelligence, and patriotism. I hope America believes I possess those, even if as I get older I lose my right to say I have good stamina hahaha..."
He paused, letting the audience laugh with him and clap.

"I love my family, my wife & kids and my siblings are here today, and my good friends John and Elizabeth. I know my mother and father, they would be proud of me. My father told me when I became a Senator, that my final goal should be to become the president... and I want to make him proud..."

"DO IT DAN, DO IT DAN, DO IT DAN!" his supporters in the back chanted, waving numerous flags and signs in support of him. The chant originated from one of his rallies in 2011, when he said he would pass a bill blocking all laws restricting gun ownership.

"Well you know what I will do. I will pray America believes I possess those qualities, because today I'm proud to announce, that I am seeking the Republican nomination for the Presidency of the United States of America, and together, we will reverse the domestic failures Barack Obama and his administration have caused, and we will take our country back from the oppressors!" he said enthusiastically, being responded to by supporters clapping and chanting "Do It Dan!". He continued speaking, outlining his core policies of "defending the borders that make this a nation", "Repealing the failure that is Obamacare" and "Pulling this beautiful country out of anti-American trade deals such as the TTIP, TPP and TiSA."

"Thank you, thank you so much everybody. It's gonna be hard work, but I'm praying for all of your support and more here, because we WILL take this country back! Thank you and I love you all. God bless these United States of America, and God bless her people!" he said, walking off of the stage, signing flags and signs saying "Rowes 2016" from his supporters.

CNN Newsroom

"Welcome to CNN Newsroom, I'm Brooke Baldwin. Our first story today, in a crowded primary field for the Republican nomination, a man and a mustache from steel country stands out. We've got Pennsylvania Congressman Dan Robichaux on the other end here, the first candidate we've been able to talk to so far, welcome Congressman!"

"Hello Brooke, it's a pleasure!"

"Alright so, you're making your name in the race as a more toned-down, less angry Republican. Can you, just, give us a rundown of what exactly you're offering that's different to hard conservatives like Rowes or Hudson?"

"Well Brooke, as I put it in my campaign speech, I want to be a President for every American and make sure that the shafted working class of this country is given a voice. I want to be the champion of the common person, whether you go to church or not. My campaign is... all about keeping in touch with our American values, the ones that make us great. That's what I want to preserve, and defend vigorously."

"Okay, and so what would you say to detractors who would call you, and this takes me back to Bush, a RINO?"

"Hah, well, I hope we could move past labels and onto common sense solutions that benefit America. I've always considered myself a conservative- I oppose reckless spending, out of control government programs, I support protecting our second amendment rights and free speech. I want to appeal to the heart and soul of America and pick up where great Presidents have left off, while fixing the harmful policies of others."

"Congressman Robichaux, two months ago same sex marriage was legalized across the United States. Being considered a moderate by some, I'm sure your opinion will be interesting. What do you have to say about the Supreme Court's ruling?"

"Well, previously, I'd definitely consider it to be a states' issue. I voted against efforts to constitutionally ban the practice, but I wouldn't have voted for nationwide legalization either. I still believe that the process should be left to the states, but if the Supreme Court felt that the right for two men or women to marry is constitutionally protected, who am I to question them? To me, that's settled law."

"So where do you stand on the issue, Congressman?"

"You mean personally?"

"Yes, in your own thoughts."

"Well, as a Christian, obviously the Bible has a lot to say, but also my Quaker upbringing has given me a much more open mind about things. We live in a secular democracy where our laws should be built on the principles of liberty and equality for everyone- in my time representing Pennsylvania, I've met a lot of members of the gay community. I don't think it's worth our time at all to dwell on the issue when there are much more important things facing our country."

"Interesting, interesting. Okay, one last question. Are you aware of the record you could possibly break if elected?"

"And what's that?"

"First President with facial hair since Taft."

"Hah! Yes, I'm quite aware. And I can promise the American people that the mustache is not going away if I'm elected."

"Alright, Congressman Dan Robichaux, thank you, and good luck."

"Thanks for having me, have a blessed day."

Carter Industries' Headquarters, Columbus, Ohio
The time had finally come. For months the rumours had been going around, that Carter would be running for Governor yet again, or trying his hand in mayoral world (third times the charm), or even that he was converting to Islam and joining some wacko terror group. None were right, but each had a grain of the truth. Flyers were being sent out for weeks prior, all saying the same thing; Carter Industries, Last Saturday of the Month, 10 AM, don't miss it. America's future could be decided on that day, and fitting to the most important day of the year, no expenses were spared. A podium was erected in front of the building, lights and microphone all rigged up, and American flag flying proudly above. The turnout was reasonable enough, around one thousand people, bound to grow in future rallies. Presidential rallies always grew in numbers.

Aidan stood on his podium at that time, wife and children smiling by his side. Lauren, his personal assistant, made some final tie and collar adjustments. The director off to the side gave the go signal, and Aidan raised his hand to silence the crowd. Putting on a big smile, he started.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between, welcome. First off, I want to thank you all for coming. I know we all have busy schedules, so for taking time to come here today, thank you. Some might know why I called you here, but for all the rest, listen up. I want to talk about a problem, or rather, a few problems. It's with America, and nearly everything we have going on here in America." Some audience members booed.

"I know, I know, America is the greatest country on God's green Earth! What problems have we Mr Carter! Well let me tell you about them. First up, we have the lack of jobs here. I know, you know, the whole world knows that America is number one in the world of economics. So why I ask you, are millions of Americans without work? Why are our businesses off holidaying in some oil nation with no tax, giving them jobs, while homegrown all-Americans go poor? I ask you, is that right?" A very verbal no was the response.

"And then there's the hotshots up in DC, who've not worked hard a day in their life, and they claim to know what's best for millions of working Americans. Our poorest citizens, how much tax they pay, how much welfare they earn, what jobs they can get, all are decided by a few hundred men and women up in the capital, and why? Do they know what it's like to be poor? To go without heating or food because your mother got laid off because some criminal will work for cheaper. Do they know I ask you!" No! reverberated around the grounds.

"I said tax there, tax is another one. What has this country, seven tax brackets? I'd bet my hat on it that most Americans are sick of seven tax brackets, needing to hire accountants and websites to calculate how much you have to give to your government. Now I have studied economics, I spent years in college because I wanted to know what works, and what doesn't. What makes our country tick, if we were a watch. So I know that that just isn't right. Neither is a flat tax, just to make it clear.

"Enough talk for now, because you may be asking yourself one question. Why? Why, am I saying all this. What can little Aidan Jay Carter, failed politician, and Ohioan businessman do to change all that. Well, the truth is nothing. But President Aidan Jay Carter of the United States can." Most of the audience gasped, while some cheered.

"That's right everybody. I've decided the time has come to run for president of our great country." The gasping quieted down, while the cheers grew.

"I promise a new future for America. To bring back the America of old, where any hard worker could escape poverty. We're going to create jobs, opportunities, a better America for all. And yes, I said we're. The Establishment up in DC won't like this, not one bit. If the American people are going to win against them, we're going to have to unite as one. Alone, a single twig would be snapped, but together they're strong. So I'm asking all of you out there, all who care for America, to get this message out there. Tell your friends, family, anyone who'll listen. Tell them that the age of corruption is over, and tell them that there's a new American Dream." Aidan left the podium to huge applause.

SMOOTHIE KING CENTER, NEW ORLEANS
LOUISIANA

Senator Marion Collard, a Senator from Louisiana, had been speculated to run for President for weeks now. Further adding to the speculation, her Senate team had booked an event at the Smoothie King Center, for a crowd of 16,000 as well as the press. Despite trending red, Louisiana proved loyal to Collard, who had been Governor from 2004 to 2012, where in her re-election in 2011 carried almost all Louisiana's parishes. In 2014, after a two-year break, Collard announced her candidacy for the Senate, and won the Louisiana Senate election in 2014 with 61% of the vote in the primary, thus removing the need for a runoff, again showing her popularity in Louisiana, unusual for a Democrat.

Collard, who was considered a moderate Democrat, was unusually pro-free trade and often aligned with Republicans on things such as free trade, immigration (although she recently supported the DREAM act), but what broke the deal was her staunchly liberal social stances, such as on abortion, same-sex marriage amongst others. She was also a known advocate for the black community, and in 2011 won almost 96% of the Louisianan black vote.

After the doors closed, with the stadium filled with supporters, anticipating a presidential run announcement, and press, a spotlight shone on a podium on the stage. A voice blared out, "Please welcome Senator Marion Collard!", as a spotlight found her walking onstage and to the podium. The crowds erupted into cheer, which lasted for what seemed years, before finally calming down. Marion, a woman of 57, smiled before taking a moment to speak.

"My fellow Americans, I stand before you today to thank you for all that you have done. For those who come from Louisiana's second congressional district, thank you for making me your representative in Washington from the 80s until 2003. And then I want to thank all of you Louisianans for electing me your Governor all the way back in '03 - I served this state faithfully, helping rebuild New Orleans after Katrina, touring the state for funds to help those in need most, investing more money in education and in building schools than any other Governor before me - Thanks to me, thousands upon thousands of kids and teens statewide now have access to a better education. I invested in the largest public housing project in Louisiana in decades, which has proven to be a success, especially after Katrina. Thousands have been lifted from the streets and those who lost their homes now have a new one, truly a great accomplishment. The crime rate in Louisiana as a whole decreased dramatically under me, and in New Orleans and Baton Rogue, well, it's definitely plummeted down through the floor!"

After pausing for a moment, the crowd erupted into another cheer. Collard smiled and nodded, before continuing,

"Over my tenure as Governor, I fought against race and gender discrimination. I fought against class discrimination. I fought against... Discrimination. I ensured no one in Louisiana was left behind,"

The LED screens behind her lit up with a gallery of photos, ranging from Collard partaking in the Katrina cleanup effort to her visiting retirees.

"And after that, you guys sent me back to Washington as your Senator. I was called the Democratic Jesus, after the Democrats suffered again in the midterms, but I won landslide in one of the nation's reddest states. And now I'm here to say thank you. And to pay you back, well I,"

She stopped purposely, to allow the crowds to again burst into cheer. After they calmed down, she began speaking much more excitedly.

"And as my way to pay you back for all you've done for me, I'll fight for EVERYONE in the nation. Make sure NO ONE gets left behind, make sure EVERYONE gets access to a better education, ensure NO ONE is discriminated against, make SURE everyone has a job. AND how will I do that? Well, I am declaring my candidacy for President and the Democratic Nomination!"

The crowd burst into one, long loud cheer. Her campaign logo lit up behind her, with a slogan, "An America for Everyone."

"America needs change. I will bring that change. Millions of Americans have been left behind, by Obama and Bush. Millions of Americans have no jobs, don't have access to a good education, hell, some don't even have access to a roof over their heads. This isn't the America I knew growing up - America was the land of opportunity. But over the last few decades America has gone into decline. And it's time to fix that.

"Education - Millions of Americans don't have access to a good education. Especially at university or college level - I believe education at that level is a right, not a privilege. Tuition fees and other fees are through the roof, and this isn't acceptable. We must lay the groundworks for free university education, and invest more in building schools and funding schools. Education is a right - Not a privilege."

"Jobs - Millions of Americans are out of a job. But how will we fix this? It is clear the damage is permanent, so we must develop a new plan for supplying Americans jobs. We must overhaul infrastructure, develop new industrial areas, create a desirable atmosphere for companies to relocate factories back to the US. And in the course of doing so, tens upon thousands of jobs will be created in creating that atmosphere! Tariffs on goods imported from China and other countries where factories relocated from the United States. Make it cheaper, while all the same not reducing the minimum wage, to produce their products in the United States. And we need to bring the federal minimum wage up to $10, as a stepping stone to achieving a living wage,"

"Tighter border security - We must reinforce our border with Mexico by employing thousands more security personnel to ensure the border is not compromised, and to stop drug trafficking and other illegal acts from occurring on our side of the border."

"In all, we must make sure no American gets left behind. That is why I want to become your President - So no American gets left behind. Support me and I will create an America that is fair and equal - Ensuring women have the right to choose, same-sex couples the right to marry, people of colour the right to feel safe, and those on the streets the right to housing. To ensure no American would live in the poverty I helped thousands of Louisianans get lifted from. Democrats, if you choose me I will lead America into a new era of prosperity. And America, when I become the nominee, you must do the same to ensure your future. Thank you, and may God bless America!"

As the crowd cheered, Collard exited the stage. She had triggered what may become the path to America electing it's first female president, once and for all.
Yeah, I ran the Idi Amin WA General Secretary campaign. Also known as Kaalmi.
The Civic Union, fighting for you.

Thomas Paine Plaza, Philadelphia, PA

Blakeslee had an attachment to the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. From 2001 to 2003, he studied in the city's prestigious University of Pennsylvania, and took a special interest in the rapid decline of the city, what he described in the past as "brain drain." The city allowed him to speak at Thomas Paine Plaza for a rally, which was again, open air.

He walked onto the temporary stage to the sound of roaring applause and cheers. Clearly, the city had not forgotten his short activist career while he studied there.

He breathed heavily, and leaned forward on the podium to address the crowd of nearly 4000.

"It's so good to be back in one of the greatest cities in this country!"

The crowd erupted at his simple statement, allowing Blakeslee to compose himself to continue the speech.

"But yes, it is good to be back in 'Philly.' This kind of warm welcome, I wouldn't have expected it anywhere else. But - anyway, as many of you know, this city that I love very dearly, like so many of our big cities throughout the nation are collapsing under so many things - crime, poverty, education - the list goes on. That's why I'm here today. I come from a lower class family, I managed to get out of it. But! I know that such a thing is not the case for millions of Americans, and we are going to ensure that every person has equal opportunities in this nation to succeed. I swear to you all that I am not going to be the president who comes from a cushy home in the suburbs, never to be seen with everyday Americans like you - the opposite in fact! We need to rebuild politics from the ground up, and it begins with you."

He pauses again to let the crowd cheer, and they do, very loudly.

"How will we make it work for all Americans; I am asked this daily. I will tell you - the rich will have to pay their share in taxes; the fact that billions of dollars are shipped overseas to be kept away from helping the people is a true modern atrocity. I will also revolutionize the way that you all do your work! Wages will be raised to livable standards, and workers will begin to control their workplaces! Tell me, friends, would you prefer to produce for someone without question, or would you like a say in where your hard work goes? That, there, is how we will make the economy work for everyone. No more bureaucratic red tape from the government, and no more will you be forced by necessity of payment to work for more than sixty hours a week! Every American deserves to live their life in pursuit of happiness; no American should worry over their next meal, where they will sleep, or how they will get employment! Such things are our rights as humans, and dammit, I will strive to bring you these rights! No more oppression from Wall Street!"

The overcast day begins to turn into a rainy one, making Blakeslee's advisers come on stage to suggest ending the rally early.

"Friends, it seems that nature is cutting our meeting short. Since this was a paid meeting of ours, I will be refunding every one of your tickets - and we will meet again tomorrow! Godspeed, my friends!"
I live in Vermont. You can call me Sam. Nation doesn't entirely reflect my views.

Miami, Florida
Robert walked up to the Podium. "My fellow Americans, I have saw the injustice of this nation. I have saw the horrible things we are doing. I want to stop it. And so, I am running for President. The Republicans have showed themselves as puppets of the racists, and the Democrats, as puppets of the elite. I won't associate with the establishment. I am a politician of the people. The people must decide, not some fat cat."
The crowd cheered.
"We have spent too long, electing puppets. We need to cut the strings, and elect a true politician. A true Democrat."

Raleigh Convention Center, Raleigh, NC

Six days ago, Daniel A. Rowes announced his candidacy for the presidency. Today he headed to Raleigh, NC, for another rally. He didn't expect a lot more than last time, maybe one or two thousand more, but he was going to hold four more including this one before he began the race for the Midwest Primaries.

"Six days ago folks, I announced my candidacy. There's a good 4,500 people here, INSANE!" he shouted, pausing to let them clap. "I started this campaign, thinking I'll end up doing a bit better than Huntsman, maybe ill be the 2016 Gingrich if I'm lucky." he paused again as they laughed.

"But seeing four and a half THOUSAND people just in Raleigh here, it's lifted up my hopes. Seeing the early polls... twenty-six percent... incredible... absolutely incredible folks... Robichaux has picked up, Munche dropped by quite a bit... I mean we dropped by two percent, but that's because for some reason they're factoring in Mitt Romney! Can you believe it? Romney... he failed twice, he better not run again... Anyway, this was a speech for me to detail, my Four Point Plan, for if I get elected, my first hundred days in office. It will start off, with the STRENGTHENING of our borders, by building a sturdy wall in places without fencing, places with fencing we'll rebuild with a better fence. Then, we will begin renegotiating our trade deals. NAFTA, TTIP, TiSA and the TPP... they're gonna be disastrous for us let me tell you. I studied economics, I still read up in detail on it today, and they will hit us HARD. That's just two points, we got two more to go. THIRDLY, we will appoint a MODERATELY conservative judge to the Supreme Court, It's pretty important. And lastly, we're going to pass a federal law, allowing concealed carry nation wide!" the last one got the crowd going, they began cheering loudly chanting in support of him. Rowes support was growing, but this was just his home state. He had 49 more to go.

The Ellen Degeneres Show
California

“So, how have you been Frani?”

“Great, absolutely divine if I must say. Being being two movies last year and then my campaign for the women’s rights. It’s really been truly wonderful.”

“That’s right, you helped in the Wage Gap movement didn’t you?”

Frani laughed as she shook her head back and then looked back.

“Yes, yes. It was divine being able to do that. The silly sketches were fun but it was all about the big issue. And that’s the wage gap which we have got to close at once!”

“Yes, so...you said you had a surprise for us before you came on the show.”

“Yes. So, as many of you know, I’ve long supported President Obama and I think we need a Democrat and a President who works for the people whether that is in Women’s Rights but also in keeping jobs here, free college, and making us safe. So that is why, I, am announcing right here on this show that I am running for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. It’s about god damn time we have a women running this country and one that is ready to lead this nation with some grit yet eloquence! Join me tonight at Pershing Square in LA where I will lay out my plans for this country! Let’s take back our country for the people!”

Frani has stood up and was waving her hand as the crowd cheered. She had joined and now she just had to win as the ultimate outsider.

MSNBC

James sat down as the the interview would begin. Many people would stick to the news stations that share their views but James was going to do an interview at the heart of the liberal media. The interviewer spoke

Interviewer: So how do you plan on handling out foreign relations?

Munche: I want to rebuild what we destroyed in the middle east and work with the Russians to stop ISIS once and for all. I also want to rewrite some trade deals to benefit the US more, I also want to put a higher tax on American Companies that ship thier products to the US after they come form places like China.

Interviewer: So how do you plan on tackling Illegal immigration?

Munche: I want to offer an amnesty to all the illegal immigrants who have been here for 5 or more years with no criminal record and then we could help them become citizens so it would be easier for them. Now when it comes to illegal immigrants we will deport the serious offenders first then move our way down to minor offenses. Then we would build a "wall" which would be a large infrastructure project which is good for the economy.

James went on to say he supported gay marriage and will help protected in need be. he also went on to endorse semi-isolationism.

A democratic man would look at the picture of his wife and kids before setting it down hearing his name loudly from the people of his city, all of them shouting "BETTER FUTURE! ELECT JOHN NICK." And things alike, this made the man feel less sick. Running for president, who would've thought? I mean sure he had been a mayor but this was nerve wracking, he was running to run his whole country.

The man shook his head trying to get the nervous thoughts out and would take his hand up to tighten his tye before hearing one of his assistants say "You're out in 10 sir." And the 10 seconds would feel like hours but eventually the curtain opened up revealing the man to the large and Diverse audience and he would step out onto the stadium to talk to the people who came to his Democratic Convention

"People of America, I will be officially Running for president." Is what he managed to get out of his mouth before the audience happily screamed loudly causing him to smile and allow them to have a moment of happiness.

Once they quieted down he leaned towards the mic again continuing his speech "I was Mayor of this city for 4 years, but now I am running for president, and I swear to you that once I become President this country will have a brighter future where a man who can't afford healthcare will be able to go and get the medicine he needs, a world where our kids will be safe against Dangers like Radical Islam, and racist groups like the KKK or Black Lives Matter who threaten you and my freedom of speech, a world where a man and woman of any Sexual preference or Race will work together for equal opportunities, we will make a better future for America!"

after that the crowd would shout loudly while the man would walk away finally done with his speech.

FOX News Washington
Senator Hudson has just unveiled his first campaign ad, as well as his self-styled "Platform for America" that he will be campaigning under. The general points of his platform are as follows:
Government Spending: A large decrease in federal spending. A Balanced Budget Amendment to ensure responsible fiscal management.

Health Care: Massive payroll tax increase (or reduce Medicare/Medicaid spending) to fund tax credits for healthcare.

Immigration: Tighten border security with stricter immigration enforcement provisions. Deport illegal immigrants.

Military Intervention: We must never hesitate to defend America! Unilateral attacks are fine for national security purposes.

Role of Government: The smaller and less activist the Government, the better the country. Local and state control when possible.

Tax Rates: A single flat tax for citizens, and a very low tax rate for corporations.

Defense Spending: The military requires a major expansion in capability to deal with both Iraq and potential conflicts with Russia and Iran.

Iran: We should be prepared to attack Iran but also be sure we have the proper intelligence.

Education: Support school vouchers and charter schools. Reduce the federal government’s role in education.

Free Trade: Consider new free trade deals carefully. Create incentives to keep jobs in America.

Social Security: Gradually scale down federal involvement and implement privatization of social security over time.

Unions: Labor demands must be balanced with business concerns.

War on Terror: Terrorism can only be stopped with military force. Unilateral attacks are justified, as are limitations on civil rights.

Same-Sex Marriage: Marriage is between a man and a woman. Support a constitutional ban on same-sex marriages.

Abortion: Only allow abortions in cases where the mother’s life is at risk. Ban partial-birth abortions.

Energy: Reduce dependence on foreign sources of oil. Some research on alternate energy sources (including solar and nuclear).

Environment: The environment is important. Find market-based solutions to environmental problems.

Gun Control: Gun ownership is constitutionally protected. Protect sportsman’s rights and the Second Amendment.

Hudson's campaign ad is unique in that it relies on the patriotic tune 'Battle Hymn of the Republic' to drive home the messages delivered within. It can be found below:
Listen

[00:09]America: The Land of the Free, the Home of the Brave.

[00:14]America: a land that, for the past 8 years, has been heading in the wrong direction, with ineffectual leadership and political gridlock. This has caused hardship and suffering for the ordinary American family.

[00:23]America needs and deserves better from its leadership. And one man intends to deliver it to the American people.

[00:28]So on election day, cast your ballot for George Hudson. Hudson will work to ensure that all Americans can live in harmony and prosperity, and will put a stop to the political deadlock in Washington. Because the American people deserve better.

[00:45]Hudson will simplify the tax codes, reduce the bureaucracy, and fight to keep jobs in America. Because for Mr. Hudson, every American should have the opportunity to seek employment and achieve it without fears of being terminated or being outsourced.

[01:03]So remember, on election day, vote for George Hudson. A man that upholds American ideals and believes in American exceptionalism. A man that will work for the people, by the people, and with the people, to ensure America's restored success.

[01:20]The Obama Administration has allowed America's jobs to be taken overseas, and weakened our military capabilities across the globe. Terrorism has become rampant, Americans face uncertainty in their prospects of employment, and the nation's morals have slid dangerously close to bankruptcy. Our current leadership has been ineffectual in facing these problems. America needs, and deserves, much better from their President. And to be given a choice on whether America should continue down this dark and uncertain path, or be given prudent, proven leadership.

[01:55]So on election day, cast your ballot for George Hudson. Hudson, who will work to restore American confidence at home and abroad. And take the fight against extremism to their backyards, rather than to ours.

[02:08]I'm George Hudson, and I approve this message. May God Bless You, and May God Bless America.

CNN Interview

"Next up we have former mayor of Indianopolis and current presidential candidate Mr Nick." A interviewer would say before the camera revealed the whole table showing both the interviewer and the Democratic Candidate.

"Thank you for having me on here, I will answer any questions you may have." The man said smiling at the man looking prepared to be questioned.

"Alright." The interviewer said before slapping the bottoms of the paper onto the table to make them look nice and in order, he would then bring his head down to look at the paper before staring at the man and asking a question "Many have viewed your views on Islam as a more Republican Ideal, can you comment on that?" Nick would then respond with a explanation "Well ya see, I don't dislike Muslims and I believe they can come here legally like everyone else! But I do dislike their religion though I won't infringe on their rights to belief or discriminate, but I am willing to say Islamic countries I don't much like their Government and how they treat people, and I think some sanctions should be put on places like Syria and Saudi Arabia if they continue to violate human rights."

"Mhm, So we got another question what is your view on abortion." He would ask getting another response "I am Pro-choice but I respect other opinions, but still a woman is a human too and therefore has the right to do with her body with what she please."

"During your interview speech you kind of sounded mixed up about Isis mind adding more on it?"

"Well like I said, if we give weapons to governments of the middle east it is likely the weaponry will be taken by the corrupted part of the Government and given to ISIL, that is why I plan to attack main ISIS territories to weaken them by not allowing them to get resources which will make it easier for our Middle eastern Allies to annex other Isis territories as ISIL will be weaker."

"Interesting, also what is your stance on LGBT rights?"

"I believe no matter what preference of sex you like wether it be man or woman you should have the right to marry whichever gender you please, wether it be your own or different sex it doesn't matter everybody should be allowed to marry who they want to marry, which is why I will try to be legalizing gay marriage."

"Mhm, so what is your stance on the Economic trade with China?"

"Well, I can't say the trade is really fair, that is why I wish to try and get better trade deals with China, that's all I can really say on the matter."

"Alright, one last question, what will your free health care plan be like? What do you plan to do?"

"Well that's easy, I want to raise the taxes so we can invest our money into it while being able to afford other things."

"Alright, before the show ends do you have something to say?"

"Yes, to the people watching remember to go out and vote, let's give america a better Future."

Sioux City Convention Center, Sioux City, Iowa

Four days ago, Rowes had left North Carolina after a series of smaller meetings across the state. Now, he was in Sioux City for his first rally in Iowa, to begin to contest the Midwest Primaries. Rowes was focusing on Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa and Montana primarily, but he would visit Kansas, Nebraska, and South & North Dakota towards the end of campaigning for the primaries. Today, he was focusing on Iowa, part of the historically important Rust Belt. He stood adjusting as tie, as he heard the announcer speak.

"PLEASE WELCOME, THE NEXT REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, DANIEL A. ROWES!" the announcer bellowed, as Rowes walked onto the stage, smiling as he waved at around 2,500 supporters.

"Hello Sioux City!" Rowes began. "It's an honor to be today with you all, absolutely incredible... As many of you know, Iowa is part of the Rust Belt, once a region known as an economic powerhouse, it has declined rapidly over the last few decades, but I want to bring it back! Iowa, has an unemployment rate of THREE POINT EIGHT percent, that's 3.8% too high folks... Neighboring Illinois, is at SIX POINT THREE PERCENT... Too high folks too high... Well, we've gotta change that. Obama and his socialist cronies have shipped our jobs off to CHINA, to INDIA, and to other damn countries that aren't near us! We gotta take his trade deals and RIP EM UP, and then we'll write a new one, a fair one that benefits us both, and stops benefiting just them. Doesn't that sound wonderful folks? Because to me, that sounds ideal, absolutely ideal. We must stop being weak on trade, because it's going to kill us, FAST! Let me tell you folks, it brings a tear to my eye to know that despite being the greatest country on God's earth, our leadership wants us to be the worst! Well not anymore folks, not anymore! We are going to put America, FIRST again, we are going to put America first on TRADE, and send a message to China, Russia, Japan, or any other country that wants to mess with us - that they won't be dealing with a whiny, liberal anti-American traitor anymore - they'll be dealing with a God fearing patriot! Thank you all! Let's WIN the Rust Belt, and then America!

CNN

"Yes, well, now let's turn our attention to Democratic candidate Marion Collard, who recently announced her campaign in New Orleans. Now she's on the campaign trail for the primaries, and polls show she's gaining quickly on Democrat Blakeslee, who has a lead of about six points, but this is evaporating quickly as Collard gains. She was born into an African-American neighbourhood in New Orleans, although she herself is white, to poor French immigrant parents. Now the Senator from Louisiana is making headlines as she has began her journey across Southern and Midwestern states campaigning, apparently resonating well with African-Americans, working class voters and millennials, as well as those over 65. She is a known Democratic critic of President Obama, who she says has sacrificed American workers in the name of cheap labour with the TPP, which she opposes,"

"But the candidate isn't so crystal clear with her image. Many question whether she be classified as a Washington insider or outsider - While she was a member of the House from the early 80's up til her election as Governor in 2003, she was a very fervent supporter of President Clinton, but she distanced herself from the Obama administration, which is why many view her as an outsider, however supporters of her opponents label her as an insider,"

"But would you really consider a Representative capable of being an insider? Really? Now, let's turn to her recent rally in Springfield, Illinois,"

PRAIRIE CAPITAL CONVENTION CENTER, SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS

Senator Marion Collard climbed the stage, to a crowd of 11,000 supporters. The cheer was deafening, and the lights centred on Collard.

"Hello Springfield! It is such a privilege to be here! This is the first stop on my primary campaign, and I am delighted to be back here in Illinois, a state I campaigned in on behalf of Hillary Clinton back in '08. But now the tables have turned, and here I am standing before you as a candidate for the Democratic nomination!"

She ended the last sentence on a high note, and the crowd cheered her on.

"Well, Springfield, I think you might go down in history again, not just for being where Lincoln lived, but for where President Marion Collard kicked off her first rally! Another bright day in Springfield," she proclaimed, "But not such a bright day for America. Unfortunately, America in the past 16 years has delved into an era of war, economic decline and ruin, after emerging from a positive decade that was the nineties. Millions of Americans lost their jobs in the recession, millions beforehand to US companies flocking overseas, and our country is in ruin. Millions live on the streets, except back home in Louisiana where I initiated the largest public housing scheme since the Projects, and my scheme took thousands off the streets and has been rated a success. Millions cannot afford to attend a university or college, many more are unable to get healthcare, and why? Our country is handled by an inefficient and self-obsessed Congress and White House,"

The crowd grew quiet as they listened closely to her words, many waving campaign signs, many waving to the cameras,

"But I, Marion Collard, Senator from Louisiana, former Governor of Louisiana and former Representative from the 2nd district of Louisiana, plan to fix that. I have devoted my entire life to people - Whether it be hard working middle-class Americans, or those who live in poverty living on the streets of cities like New Orleans, Los Angeles, Chicago... I pledge to fight for the people, not the interests of corporations. Yes, I do believe in a free market, but restricting the markets hurts America. It hurts jobs. I want to help all Americans, help them work. Help them get a job, or keep their job, help them have a roof over their head. I want to be there for every American - Whether you be poor, rich, or be getting just enough. Whether you live in an apartment in Manhattan, live in a house in Springfield, or live on a farm in Indiana. I want to fight for you - Make your interests known. Which is why I must be your choice for the Democratic nomination for President!"

The crowd erupted into a cheer after that last sentence, before quietening to allow her carry on,

"And what are the problems that face America today? Corruption. Racism. The wage gap. No access to a third level education or affordable healthcare. ISIS. Crumbling infrastructure. And so much more. As your President, I will eliminate all of these problems. I will bring transparency to Washington - Kirsten Gilibrand is a prime example of this. My fellow Senator Gilibrand is a beacon of transparency in the Senate, and under me, what she does will become common practice. New laws requiring companies to pay men and women the same salary will be passed. Under me, I will invest record amounts into education. I will lay the groundwork for free university/college education, as well as new educational programs helping educate our youth about race and end those racial stereotypes once and for all. Crackdown on police brutality. I will co-operate with Russia, Turkey and other countries in the fight against ISIS, strengthening our offence. And that's not all - We still have to cover immigration, housing and so much more. And we will, if you vote for me in the upcoming primaries. Listen, my fellow Democrats, if you choose me as your nominee, I will go on to fight for all Americans. No one, under me, will ever be left behind!"

"And finally, my opponents... Right now CNN, MSNBC and other outlets suggests I have enough momentum to take the lad, but at this early stage it's unpredictable. Right now, my main opponent is a little-known man by the name of Blakeslee... City Manager of South Burlington. But let me ask you one thing America - Do you really think he's ready to become your President? Other than being the head of a small Vermont city, is it really possible he has what it takes to be the next President? No, he doesn't. I do. Which is why you should consider me as your choice for the Democratic nomination. Make sure all Americans are heard and no one is left behind - Vote Collard 2016. Thank you Springfield!"

The crowds went wild, as Marion left the stage waving. It was the start of her primary battle.

Youngstown, OH

After a successful second rally in Philadelphia, Blakeslee traveled to very conservative rural Ohio to encourage the rural voters to support him. A crowd of almost 3000 was expected for him at a plaza on the outskirts of the city.

He walked out to the podium set for him and noticed the heavy media presence, even heavier than the Philadelphia rally, which was odd.

"I take it, friends, that you are all well aware of the crisis facing your city, and your state. American jobs have been sent all over the world in the name of big business and profit. The folks on Wall Street, who work with Obama, mind you, don't care about the little guys, you and I! They'd rather line their own pockets in gold than share a cent with the hard-working American people! I am going to change this by first repealing Citizens United and ensuring that great cities like these do not have their economies taken overseas by businessmen in New York! Tell me, friends, what good has come to you from our trade agreements either? Were we supposed to sit back and watch as the fatcats got richer off of cheap labor from overseas? For too long this part of the United States has endured economic downturn, and by God I swear that the Rust Belt will not be forgotten by my administration."

The small crowd of 3000 was ecstatic to hear Blakeslee discuss the impacts of lobbying and trade agreements on their cities.

"But now to you, the working people. Believe me, I come from an even smaller city, I understand the frustrations you have with the huge coastal cities dominating your affairs - this is a struggle I shared throughout my career as an activist and politician in Vermont. Always was our state being battered for our lack of gun laws - "

The crowd cheered in excitement, as this part of the country holds the Second Amendment very dearly.

" - You like guns don't you? Good! It's our right as citizens! But this is a perfect example of our affairs being managed by those who don't understand us. We, little Vermont, have been accused for flowing weapons into the neighbors, just by our virtue of following the constitution! Do you want to know how many guns actually came from our state? Less than sixty. This right here is the problem with our political establishment, friends. We don't look at issues anymore, they'd rather blame it on others. These cities can't admit that they've been governing their people too inefficiently, so they blame us! Look at the state of the Democratic Party! Tell me, how many of you have been insulted, just for being from a rural area, by the Democrats? They won't listen to the everyday people, and that's why I'm here today - to fix this disaster we have in Washington."

The crowd again began to cheer Blakeslee on. He smiled and clapped while they cheered, too.

"It's come to my attention that I've been criticized for managing only a small city in Vermont, that I don't have what it takes to manage our affairs as a nation. I disagree! If anything, I'd say that being from a small city taught me two things, friends. One - the value of face-to-face democracy. Talk to your neighbor. Talk to your neighbor's neighbor. We can only begin to heal as a nation when our communities are together again. Two - South Burlington is a wonderful blend of small city and metropolis. Friends, I have experience managing a small city, so I am able to empathize with our struggling rural communities, but I also understand the complexity of governing an urban environment. These two mix very well if I'd say so myself!"

Blakeslee was received with applause and cheering, when he leaned into the microphone and said,

"Forward, together!"

He took a small bow, and left the stage to meet supporters individually.
I live in Vermont. You can call me Sam. Nation doesn't entirely reflect my views.
I'm a bad leftist.

Emiliano Salinas
San Diego State University, California

“Thank you all very much for being here and for all the support that you have given me over the years: as the mayor of this great city. Thanks also to my longtime friends and fellow San Diegans- Fernando Suarez de Solar, Oscar Rios, Gael Garcia Bernal for all that you do – and for your very generous remarks. Thanks also to Reies Tijerina, who passed away in January, for your leadership in Chicano empowerment.

I also want to thank my family: My wife Ludwika, my brother Juan Cristobal, my sister Cecilia, my son, Nicholas, who provides so much joy to my life.

Today, here in our great state – a state that has led the nation in so many ways in the past and does so to this day – I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Democratic Party for President of the United States of America.

Today, with your support and the support of millions of members and supporters of the Chicano Movement, we begin a political revolution to transform our country economically, politically, socially and environmentally. Today, we stand here and say loudly and clearly that; “We have had enough." This great nation and its government belong to all of the people, and not to a handful of billionaires, their Super-PACs and their lobbyists.

Brothers and sisters: Now is not the time for thinking small. Now is not the time for the same old same old establishment politics and stale recycled ideas, all from the same bunch of out-of-touch-with-reality lawmakers.

Now is the time for millions of working families to come together, to revitalize American democracy, to end the collapse of the entire American middle class, not just for the white majority but my equally deserving fellow Hispanics which have faced great social obstacles since the Mexican Cession. My African-American compatriots whose history in this country began as slaves and managed to fight their way to freedom and equality, alongside us Latinos, we have both supported each other when it came to civil rights despite our petty differences. And finally my Asian-Americans who have also faced equally grim odds in history. To make certain that our children and grandchildren are able to enjoy a quality of life that brings them health, prosperity, security and happiness-and that once again makes the United States the leader in the world in the fight for economic and social justice, for environmental sanity and for a world of peace and inhabitants with peace of mind.

Here is my promise to you for this campaign. I will fight to protect the working families of this country, no matter what color they are, but we’re going to build a movement of millions of Americans who are prepared to stand up and fight back. We’re going to take this campaign directly to the people – in town meetings, door to door conversations, on street corners and in social media. This week we will be in Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico– and that’s just the start of a vigorous grassroots campaign.

Let me be clear, this campaign is not about me. It is not about the Party. This campaign is about the needs of the American people, and the ideas and proposals that effectively address those needs. As someone who has never run a political ad in his life, my campaign will be driven by issues, logic, and civilized debate; not political gossip, not reckless personal attacks. This is what I believe the American people want and deserve. I hope other candidates agree, and I hope the media allows that to happen. Politics in a democratic society should not be treated like a baseball game, a game show or a telenovela.

Let me take a minute to touch on some of the issues that I will be focusing on in the coming months, and then give you an outline of an Agenda for Americans which will, in fact, deal with these problems and lead us to a better future.

I have seen the promise of America in my own life. The casual observer of the 11 year old Emiliano, biking with his friends through National City, would have never thought he would be a Mayor, let alone run for president. But for too many of our fellow Americans, the dream of progress and opportunity is being denied by the grind of an economy that funnels all the wealth to the top.

And to those who say we cannot restore the dream, I say just look where we are standing. This beautiful place was once an barren presidio that served no public purpose and was an eyesore. As mayor, I've worked with the people of San Diego to help turn it into the beautiful recognized university it is today. We took the fight to the courts, to the legislature and to the people. And we won the attention such an important place like a University deserves.

The lesson to be learned is that when people stand together, and are prepared to fight back, there is nothing that can’t be accomplished.

We can live in a country:

Where every American has health care as a right, not a privilege;
Where every parent can have quality and affordable childcare and where all of our qualified young people, regardless of income, can complete college debt-free;
Where every citizen of the third age can live in dignity and security, and not be forced to choose between their medicine or their food;
Where every veteran who defended this nation gets the quality health care and benefits they have earned and receives the respect they deserve;
Where every person, no matter their race, their religion, their disability or their sexual orientation realizes the full promise of equality that is our birthright as humans, which our founding fathers promulgated.
That is the nation we can build together, and I ask you to join me in this campaign to build a future that works for all of us, and not just a select few.

Thank you, and on this beautiful day in San Diego, I welcome you aboard. Together, we will overcome. Juntos, venceremos!”, he raised a fist in the air as the auditorium full of students exploded in cheers.

MSNBC

"Ahahaha, yes. Now, moving on, as we said before we will be interviewing Democratic candidate Marion Collard via video chat. Collard, on the trail in Illinois tonight, are you ready?"

Marion Collards face appeared, smiling,

"Yes and thank you for having me!" she exclaimed,

"Yes, but really thank you for agreeing to this interview. Striaght on, Ms. Collard, we recently saw you in Springfield and, well, it really is shocking the crowds you draw at such an esrly stage. And you have a blowout schedule visiting many major Midwestern cities, but we have to ask, do you plan to stop off at smaller areas along the way?"

"Yes, actually, we do. If you keep an eye on www.marioncollard.net we will have updates on the schedule - The list we previously listed were the confirmed events on in large venues as they required a booking sometime ahead of the scheduled daye. Right now I'lll ne stopping off in smaller towns along the trail, like Decatur here in Illinois, when we depart for Rockford. We'll constantly be squeezing in new events!"

"Wonderful Ms Collard... Now, your opponent Blakeslee has revently dismissed your claims he doesnt have what it takes to be President, claiming being manager of a town like SOuth Burlington actually gives him the experience, your thoughts on that?"

"Yes, I saw that. And I was shocked to hear him claim being city manager of South Burlington, Vermont made him able to understand the struggles of rural communities in America when South Burlington has a median income of over $60,000 - That hardly sounds like a struggling rural community. I grew up in a ghetto of New Orleans - My parents were so poor we had nowhere else to stay. When I was 18, prior to me entering the political life, I briefly lived in Iowa. Rural Iowa, my uncle, who migrayed from France with my parents, had started up a farm there. This was devades ago, but even then, people struggled. And as I campaign through rural Illinois, I see that same issue. People struggling to pay bills. People cant afford to send kids to college. I want to fix that. Lay the groundworks for a free university education scheme. Help education truly become a right in the United States - not just a privilege. Everyone deserves that chance,"

"Well... well said Ms Collard... You sort of covered our next questions! But one final question - What do you think of your other opponents?"

"I simply dont see enough of them to form an opinion! We are all democrats and I ensure I have a high level of resorct for all my opponents in the primary battle. I do hope to see more of them, possibly at rallies or a Democratic debate! Thank you!

"Alright, thank you Ms. Collard. Moving on..."

"HUD-SON! HUD-SON! HUD-SON!" A raucous crowd not far from Des Moines, Iowa chanted fervently, waiting to see the Senator who was about to give a speech on the campaign trail for the first time. Yard signs were held up all over the audience, and the stage itself was adorned by a lone podium and a few lights to illuminate the slowly darkening stage.

"Ladies and gentleman," a booming, microphoned voice rang out at almost precisely 6:00, "please welcome the next president of the United States, George Hudson!" With that, the ultra-conservative politician made a triumphant appearance on the stage, causing the crowd to erupt into a near-frenzy as he waved and made his way to the podium, smiling a little and waving at the crowd as much as he could. This went on for several minutes before Hudson finally began holding out his hands for silence.

"Thank you, thank you," his voice could be heard on his own microphone over the slowly-quietening audience. "It is a true honor and pleasure to be here this evening," he continued, causing more cheers and clapping for a brief moment. "And I thank the city's board of trustees for permitting me to speak with you tonight," he went on, nodding courteously at the group just off the stage who were watching intently. "So, why am I here?" he asked, causing a few sporadic chuckles in the audience. "I am here tonight because I want to fix what is wrong with America. And judging by your interest in being here tonight, so are you." More applause and cheering peppered the crowd in response. "I believe America has been going down the wrong path for the last eight years." Shouts of "HELL YEAH!" could be heard in the crowd at this statement. "Our opponents in the Democratic Party have taken the opportunity to steer this nation on a course which sacrifices American prestige, values, and international support. Is it any wonder that Russia hardly heeds the United States when dealing with the Crimea, or Syria?" he asked rhetorically, which was responded to by very emphatic "NO's" from the audience. "Or how China can get away with unfair trade deals that results in America being burdened with trade deficits and debt?" he asked, getting even more "NO's" in response. "Or how North Korea continues to grow bolder and bolder with their threats towards not just America, but also America's allies in the Pacific?" he finished, this time soliciting jeers and catcalls for the rogue country.

"Burn in Hell, North Korea!" a few more vociferous crowdgoers belted out. Hudson waited until the crowd calmed down a little before continuing.

"Those are of course just a few very important flaws that the current administration has readily accepted as inevitable," he kept going. "That America must learn to accept its place not as the leader of the free world but merely a sideshow to the main issues that confront the world. And I, for one, will not stand for it," he said, drawing out another raucous applause from the crowd. "Do we want an America that accepts its lot as a has-been nation?" he asked.

"NO!" came a very loud reply from much of the crowd.

"No, of course not," Hudson agreed. "That is why I am running for president. I want to restore America to its place as the first among equals in the world. The position that America held when it lead the fight against terrorism during the Bush Administration fifteen years ago, and struck fear and terror into the hearts of America's, and the world's, enemies. On the subject of terrorism, is it any wonder, from this current administration, that we have allowed Russia to take the lead in subduing the dangerous terrorists of Daesh in the Middle East?" he asked next. "It is rather astounding that, in three years, America has yet to commit itself to assisting in destroying this dangerous insurgency group, that has no qualms with kidnapping, genocide, and God knows what else. I am frankly ashamed that the Obama Administration cannot find the nerve to commit more adequately to fight this group." The crowd grew more and more restless, booing the mention of Obama in response.

"OBAMA'S ONE OF 'EM!" a voice shouted from the audience. Hudson looked in the direction of that statement.

"Now, now, President Obama is not one of them, I can assure you," he said firmly. "But he has shown that he is at least ambivalent towards the brutality that Daesh commits on a regular basis in Iraq and Syria. And in this day and age, we cannot afford to have a leader that lets others do what America has taken up the mantle of doing itself; crushing threats to humanity." Cheering broke out again at this comment. "I stand here this evening to say to you all, that if I am elected your next President of the United States, you will see a dramatic change in America's foreign and domestic policy. Starting with Daesh. They will be driven to the edge of the Earth where they belong, herded by American guns and bayonets, before being expunged." A ferocious cheering erupted at this statement, causing Hudson to pause again in response. "And in China, America will reconsider its trade agreements to ensure that not only does China lose its ability to manipulate us financially, but that they will put an end to the nasty business of taking jobs and careers from America." Still more cheering broke out yet again. "You can rest assured, Iowa, that I will fight for you at every opportunity - you, and America - to ensure that everyone can say that they are proud to be American again, and that America is, once again, the greatest country on earth. Thank you, and God Bless America!" He waved as the crowds cheered once again, nearly deafening as the signs fluttered up and down in ecstasy. Hudson slowly made his way off of the podium, signing a few autographs and shaking a few hands before he was moved to his limousine, where he would move on to the next rally to be held the next day in a neighboring county.
