I got an idea for the name of Alex and Blanche's team. Since you guys mentioned alphabet, why not APBT? It would be LPBT if Alex was replaced with something beginning with L, but eh, APBT's fine too.

Sure. Why not? I was perfectly serious when I mentioned that.

I'd think Formosa and I would want to have two more people join us down the line to form a four person team.

You're OP though, so up to you.

Anyway, I edited my last post and included more. If you're replying to me formosa be sure to read that too. Same goes to.. Nach, SIn, and storm.

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Layla Ajanus
Age: 19
Sex: Female
Race: [X] Human [ ] Faunus
Animal Traits (Omit if human):
Biography: Layla is the third-eldest child of the Ajanus family, a noted and respected family within Mistral but little known outside of Mistral due to the nature of their work. The Ajanus family are primarily known as noted architects within Mistral. Layla, however, had neither the talent for architecture, despite her family's repeated attempts to teach her, and instead enrolled in Sanctum Academy as a way to rebel against her family and to get away from them. Her family reluctantly agreed to bankroll her, on the proviso that she graduated best in her class. She graduated second-best. With their relationship already tense, and Layla refusing to give up on her chosen path, the family disowned her before she went onto attend Haven Academy for two years. Those two years, meant to be training for huntresses for Layla, turned into a game of intrigue between her and her family, which was thoroughly determined to get her thrown out of Sanctum. They eventually succeeded after an extensive operation to ensure Layla had no chance of passing her second year exams. Thrown out of Haven, her family thought she'd have no choice but to come crawling back to them. Unfortunately, they underestimated Layla's sheer stubbornness. Rather than crawling back, she instead applied to and was accepted into Beacon as a first year given her poor performance at Haven. Although slightly disheartened by having to repeat two years of education, Layla was quite happy that she'd finally gotten out of Mistral and far, far away from her family.
Personality: Layla is stubborn and arrogant, with a overvalued sense of her own value courtesy of her upbringing in Mistral's nobility. She is also very prone to bouts of snark and sarcasm, often at completely inappropriate times which she finds makes it even more hilarious at least to herself if not others.
Appearance: Here.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon: Scorpion's Claws
Appearance: A pair of bulky bladed and spiked gauntlets.
Capabilities: The blades are attached to spiked chains held within the gauntlet and can be fired off via an internal coilgun arrangement which can be also used to retract the chains back to the gauntlet. Not wanting to rely on Dust cartridges, which require reloading, or batteries which require recharging, the gauntlets have been modified to draw power from her Semblance. Look similar to this.
Semblance: Static: Layla's entire body is a generator and battery for static electricity which gradually builds up whilst doing physical activity, with more strenuous activity building her reserves faster and decays while she isn't; 8 hours of sleep will wipe her reserves clean no matter how large they were when she went to sleep. When fighting, she uses her Semblance mainly to power her gauntlet launchers, electrify her blades and their chains and finally as a 'static shield' around herself which shocks anyone that strikes her with a melee weapon and absorbs electrical energy into her reserves. She can also use the electricity as energy to power her body, but rarely does so as it's rather painful to do so.
OOC INFORMATION
RP Activity: Medium-high, it really depends on how real life is going at that point in time. I will always be on at least three days a week at a minimum however.
RP Example: Here.
Did you read the rules? Yes.

I accept, it looks pretty good, but two things.

1. Can I get an image of the weapon in melee form? I'm a little lost description wise.

2. I'd apply a negative to using it and maybe change how she obtains it because currently is OP as all she has to do is stand (She could charge it slowly, like 50/100 in a day if doing nothing). Though it could be me thinking it'd be fast charge. Though, I'd love to see a fight between Aiden and Layla, as Aiden's semblance is about electricity.

1. This is not needed to be accepted. Though I'm not saying remove it, I'm saying that it isn't necassarry for acceptance. Though it feels pretty sue-ish to me, but that's me.

2. So it's like Velvets "weapon" correct? Because that's pretty cool.

3. What is with all the gravity-manipulation semblances this time around? It's the new rage semblance. And it seems less gravity oriented and more magnetic oriented. Also the name. I'd change it to 'Newtonian Force' and base it on Centripetal and Centrifugal force, where the centrifugal force one increases or decreases an objects inertia, while the centripetal one keeps it bound to an object in a small radius with the area of movement being a circle. And effective torture method of used together. You could bind an ursa to a pole, have the radius be 10m, increase its inertia causing it to move, and since it's bound in a circle-shape to the rod to max radius, it's stuck on the border constantly spinning round the pole.

1) In it's defense, canon RWBY characters do follow a color scheme (Yang is yellow, Blake is black, Ruby is red, Weiss is white) and theme songs are just cool. But ye are the OPs and your word is law, etc... so: I understand and apologies
2) Yes
3) (a.) It's because everybody wants to secretly bang Glynda Goodwitch and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? Dunno what to tell you. The power works well with my weapon and imagined fighting style though, (b.) and wouldn't I be able to pretty much get the same effect on the ursa by making the flag pole the center of an orbit? (c.) Plus no to the suggestion. If I ad-hoc'd the ability to add inertia, I'd be able to move things not in motion already. That'd be trecking into godmod territory for me.

1. No it's fine, just don't worry about those. Though we should put our chars theme song in the archive now that I no of it....

2. Cool

3a. Well I'd still change the name because that's not centrifugal force.
3b. With your current one, not really. With my suggestion, yes.
3c. Nah, you just multiply inertia, and 0 x Anything = 0. And any semblance is godmodding without a negative to it. Gotta have balance.

Closest I could find would be similar to this.

I had two ideas for how she 'charges'; either while she's doing nothing, with the charge rate decreasing whenever she's doing anything physical no matter how minor or that it builds while she's doing something so she starts fights nearly empty but it gradually builds and builds as the fight goes on.

Edit: Went with the latter so that she builds charge as she does anything with more physical stuff building more charge but sleep wipes her reserves clean so she has to build up new reserves every day unless she pulls an all-nighter.

Fun fact: I had a planned idea where Shiro would try to flirt with Glynda, succeeded, but ended up becoming a laughing stock to his teammates because they found out that Glynda's idea of "getting laid" was "exercising her secret dom kink by whipping Shiro's ass with her riding crop all night."

Well.. when you put it that way it sounds like a minor addition. Alright. It's included in my semblance.

So how do we induct lunas's char ICly? I'm thinking a message sent to our scrolls and either one of us - or both goes to do a meet and greet. If I do it, then I'll probably just bring them around to the cafeteria where you're at right now. It'd nicely explain what i was doing in the time gap between when you woke up and your present point.

I had a few other ideas, but went with electricity since the other ideas were a bit odd and didn't synergise quite as well with her weapons as electricity did. One was that she creates a tiny radius around her which makes Dust go inert until it moves out of the area on which whatever elemental effect it has triggers immediately whilst the others were that she can drain her Aura to boost her physical abilities or that she has no Semblance and just a massive pool of Aura instead.

I'm thinking about changing the color scheme of Avena. Since her weapon is black and pink, I was think of having her outfit black accented with pink. What do y'all think?

Yes, but I also draw my oc very heavily so a color scheme works well with that.

Electric powers are a bit of a classic. Unlike gravity, which is new and fancy.

It'll be interesting to see if you can use such classic powers in a unique way,
