Don't think it would help relations.

guy verhofstadt seems to be supportive of the idea of associative citizenship. tory MP andrew bridgen thinks this is an attempt to undermine the referendum result and divide are britain because he is a fucking idiot that doesn't know what he's talking about.

So let's be positive about British politics!

*IDS essentially says tyranny by majority is a lie*

*Osbourne makes £320K from speeches*

*Nobody has learned anything from the Libya shit show*

*Some peer died*

Ffs Britain why. (Ignoring Brexit because I'm fed up of talking about it)

At least we're trying to stop medal imposters?

you're being positive. in the UK politics thread. there's no way that a law based around things like "The report insists there is a “strong body of anecdotal evidence” of “tangible and identifiable harm”, but concedes the incidence is difficult to determine from official statistics." is going to turn out good, and it's questionable whether the existing situation is bad enough there needs to be a special criminal statute over it.

Gotta keep our priorities straight.

I mean there's a reason people hate politics and therefore don't vote so we get shit. It's because of stuff like this.

I also find it strange we spend money on pointless shit while the stuff we need, like emergency services, the NHS, infrastructure etc struggles. HS2 can fuck off, fix what we have

Diane Abbot: Labour will not win a general election as Ukip-lite

In short, lurching to the right will cause more problems than it will solve.

"SURPRISING" UNITY

One EU official with a senior role in preparing negotiations said he was surprised Britain's traditional Nordic, Polish and Dutch allies had not emerged as "fifth column" lobbying for a "soft Brexit" to appease British concerns on immigration while letting it keep free trade access.

Instead, these states were among the toughest in demanding a "hard Brexit" to avoid disrupting the surviving 27-nation bloc.

Labour won't win a general election full stop.

'Lurching' to the center represents their best chance at picking up vulnerable Tory seats, however, as they aren't going to win back Scotland any time soon. Of all the major parties, Labour are most at risk of being wiped out either through inaction - staying where they are won't help - or incompetence - moving left won't win Scotland nor will it bring back many seats in England.

Of course Corbyn is on tv praising Castro, only mentioning problems in the context that all societies have problems with "excesses".

Compared to the Batista regime, Castro was probably an improvement, although this is damning with very faint praise.

Corbyn said he was "an important figure in our lives", Galloway went full sploosh and declared him "man of the century".

Trump called him a brutal dictator and hoped Cuba could move on from his reign (that ended ten years ago) to become the freer Cuba Cubans deserved while Obama said history would remember what Castro achieved.

But they're supposed to be rolling over and giving us everything we want like Boris said they would because they have to.

Why it's actually funny is that Britain had a traditional, reliable, ally base in the EU that was conveniently forgotten about in the referendum campaign.

Saying, "we have these countries who we ally with in the EU" would probably have gone a long way for showing that the EU is an integrating force and countering the bullshit that we're "always outvoted".
