This Cup's West-East Timor 7s are the same as last edition, because.. Well, they are good. So why change anything? The only thing that has changed is that last time's Assistant Coach, James Zwekon, is Coach now, and Hugh Lurnan is Assistant Coach. This change was necessary because Richard Ensekov is currently arrested because of murder. Yeah, the bottle of milk...

Anyways, they will use the brilliant SEVEN S777 Sevenball motorcycles to play sevenball. The West-East Timor 7s allways use some kind of vehicles, as motorsport is Omnidirectional Timor's national sport.

RP permissions: Do whatever you want, but, please, don't kill anybody. Would be nice.

The Lowes Lighthouse - The White Horses (Part 1)

I sat up in my bed, unable to sleep. The wind was howling outside like an angry wolf. Rubbing my eyes, I pulled off my duvet and got out of bed, the floorboards creaking as I stood on them. The rain was lashing down, creating a deafening noise which reverberated around the room. I pulled back the curtains. The rain was blasting against the window, the wind rattling it in its frame. Thunder like a beat of a drum. Lighting flashing across the sky, bringing light to the dark, evil seas. The white horses rode across the waves like an invading army. Charging towards me.

The sea had been whipped up into a fury, lashing out at anything that lay in its wake. No mercy. No care for human lives. Forcing the waves to attack like battalions of an army. They couldn't defeat my fortress, but they were trying. I could tell, because there was a loud sloshing sound from downstairs - they had penetrated into my house, seeking and destroying anything in its path.

I gazed out across the sea, hoping to see an end to the storm. There was none. The ominous clouds still loomed over me, everywhere, no break in sight, no penetrating light to bring joy to the depths of hell. Wait, why is there no light? I realised I had made a terrible mistake. The light - I had not lit it. I had not lit the light. There would be no warning, no danger signs, no light to guide people through the dark away from danger and to safety. On the night ships passing by needed help the most, I had failed them. I ran upstairs, taking them two at a time. It still took me a while - for there were about 1000 steps to climb to the top, where the light was, but I am sure I did it in record time.

Out of breath, I stopped at the top, panting, exhausted from the climb. Looking out the window, I was awestruck. The view, even though it was so treacherous outside, was dumbfounding. You could see the small town from the top, the few lights glowing like candles, providing a little light in the dead of night. The sea walls could be seen - the waves crashing over them in fury, lashing out at the stones that lay in their way. It was as if they were trying to breach them like the English tried to breach Hadrian's Wall - ultimately failing, but not giving up. The occasional flashes of lightning revealed more - the deadly rocks that spanned for miles, which served as a death threat to any ship which came too close. The waves pushing towards land like ribbons. It seemed so innocent, yet I knew it was anything but. The tidal surge and the waves provided a real threat to ships and one that can cause them to smash into the rocks. Once they got past a certain point, smashing into the rocks was inevitable. The line could be marked by a buoy which lay out at sea - a red flashing light atop it warning of danger ahead. Once a ship passed that, it was over. That was where the lighthouse came in, my lighthouse. Its job was to act as a warning ships, directing them back onto the proper path, a large sign saying that death lay here. But yet, I had failed even in that, failed to light the lamp that would save lives. It was just lucky that there had been no ships sailing by yet.

I lit the lamp using the oil lighter. The light suddenly penetrated the darkness. The waves more pronounced. The warning present for all ships to turn away. What should have been there all night, to provide light to straying ships, was once again there, guiding people. I had been foolish for forgetting to turn it on, so in some ways, the storm preventing me from getting sleep was actually a good thing. But me turning the light on to scan the horizon and ward off ships from the dangers of the rocks below saved no lives that night.

Already ploughing through the deadly seas was a ship, unaware of the dangers ahead. It had passed the red buoy, yet the man officiating the lighthouse had not noticed it, for it was dark and most of the ship's lights were off, as it was a passenger ship and most of the passengers were asleep, trying to sleep, or gathered in the main hall together, trying to comfort each other in the storm, scared of the waves which tipped the ship to 45 degree angles at every occasion. It was perilous for them, yet because the storm had swept in with no notice, they had set off unaware and unprepared for bad weather. They were caught up in the current, drifting off their course, yet they had no reference point by which to navigate, as the lighthouse was not operating until it was too late.

''Captain... what is that red buoy for?'' James asked - he was the officer on deck with the captain and was watching out for dangers and aids to help them navigate.
''What red buoy?'' Captain Edwards asked. He appeared to be getting a little worried in the weather, with no way to navigate. He knew that there should have been a lighthouse by now - they were, according to the maps, off the end of Lowes. There were dangerous rocks here, and he knew it. He had almost crashed into them before. He vaguely remembered a red buoy, but couldn't quite pin down its purpose.
''The red buoy we just passed Captain,'' James said again, louder to be heard over the winds which were unleashing hell on the ship. ''It was flashing - was it some kind of warning.'' It was then that the light from the lighthouse pierced the night, serving as a warning, yet too late.
''I- I know what it means...'' the captain said to his officer. ''Don't panic'' he said, while seeming to be panicking. The officer could tell that his captain was worried. Even though it was so dark, he could still see Edward's facial expressions - they spelt doom.
''Wh-What does it mean sir?'' he said, his voice striking a worrying tonality. His breathing became short and sharp, almost as if he were on the verge of a panic attack.
''The red buoy is the moment of no return.'' the captain whispered, defeated. ''We're going to hit the rocks.''

The white horses ran along the side of the ship, surfing the waves as if they did it all the time. The captain gazed at them, wishing his ship had the freedom of a horse. The ability to escape this situation. But there was no escaping, no path out. They were heading for danger. Many people were going to die. He just had to minimise the losses. At that moment, as he looked out at the horses, pondering how to save the passengers, he saw the horse rear up on its hind legs, neighing before galloping off into the distance, an evil smile plastered on on its face. Or he was just imagining it. We will never know.

IC7 III

Kébec Undeated With No.1 Seed

Kébec continues their love for winning entering IC7 III with an unimagineable 6-0 record, Kebec is control of the top seed in the cup, surprisingly ahead of Drawkland 7s and their bitter rivals, the RQK (Quebec) 7s who have the number two seed. Kebec however remained in control of their group, stunningly winning Group 3 with a 6-0 record. Despite facing insurmountable challenges from the hosts, the Fleuronordicia 7s who on a good note for them finished 5-1 with their sole loss coming to Kebec.

The Kebec Sporting Association [ viewtopic.php?f=7&t=394127 ] originally had planned to possibly replace Coach Féret who had sadly had some disappointing performances in the Kebec 7 NT warmups earlier this year as they lost an embarrassing 7-2 7s match to a local Kebecois high school team. Since then, the team has gelled together surprisingly well, it seems it might be coming together finally for the Kebecois squad. Kebec continues to show that this may finally be their time to rise, whoever they face, they must be ready for a challenge.

Offense continues to be the name of the game fo the Kebecois squad, in the final match against The Great Pi, the Kep 7s jumped out to a 6-point lead before dropping three straight scores. However, it remains to be seen, Coach Féret has the Kebec 7s offense better than ever, ready for more and ball-hogging. The match saw Kebec hold onto the ball for 67% of the match, something Coach Féret has praised within the squad. Perhaps this will be the stunning rise of Kep? That surely remains to be seen.
