First and foremost, the leader, a guy that should've well been on his way to graduation:

Name: Shiro Sora

Biography: Used to be part of a rogue unit of Atlas military called "Faunus Suppression Unit", which initially formed to suppress violent Faunus rebellions, but turned into a racist organization on the same level of White Fang. No longer willing to be part of this unit after its shift to violent racism, Shiro and his little brother, Takuro, who joined after their village was raided by violent White Fang sympathizers and left as the only survivors, left this unit, but not before Shiro was administered a drug by the unit's leader that took away his first Semblance, Scary Monsters. He managed to save Takuro's Semblance, Supremacy, from being taken away as well, by lying and covering up any proof of its emergence. It was unknown how, but Shiro eventually turned to Ozpin for help. He wanted to atone for his sins of racism, and a safe haven for his brother, to which Ozpin offered them shelter on Beacon, on the condition that they became students. How did Ozpin covered up the fact that Shiro's physical capabilities are actually on par with a senior Huntsman, and his obvious age, was also unknown to most people, excluding Professor Goodwitch and General Ironwood (whom he threatened to expose the military ties between the general and the Unit). Ozpin also offered him a help in gaining his Semblance, by using a special concoction of various Dusts and herbal juices. However, this drug instead gave him a new Semblance, which he dubbed Red Hot Chili Pepper, instead of regaining Scary Monsters. There are also some side-effects of the drug, which hadn't been fully disclosed.

Plays guitar, additional vocals, and raps in Team STAR's band form. Said he gained all of these musical abilities during his time with FSU.
Personality: His age and service time in the unit formed his personality. A shifty, tactical, and mature leader, but also the most laid-back of the team, and most flirty, but that's just his age. He is generally friendly towards anyone, even the resident jerk Cardin Winchester and his cohorts. Often played pranks on his teammates (and sometimes other students), but always found the payback to be ten times harsher. Has a way with words, to the point he could match Yang in a pun-off and flirt-off. Almost sounded like a Gary Stu, right? If only for the fact that he had rotten luck with women and several things he prefers not to disclose.
Appearance: What do you mean you've seen him before?

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon: Five Fingers Death Punch
Appearance: Makes you wanna punch
Capabilities: A pair of power knuckles. His signature weapons since his days with the FSU. No ranged combat capabilities, but it doesn't concern him much since he got his Semblance covering that part.

Semblance:
Previously: Scary Monsters: A Semblance that allowed him to transform into a Grimm-like beast with white furs, matching his hair color. Physical abilities and senses are boosted up to four times. Taken away by the drug administered to him under FSU's leader's orders.
Current: Red Hot Chili Pepper: A Semblance that he gained after consuming the concoction offered by Ozpin that supposedly could regain his Semblance, but instead gave him a new one. Allowed him to coat parts of his body in an element/energy corresponds to any dust and gain full control of it, even to the point of enabling him launching long-range attacks. Since the drug contained all kinds of Dusts, he could coat them with Fire, Ice, Lightning, Explosive, etc, and gain full control over it. Consumes his Aura for every five second he coat any part with Dust power.

Personality: Basically, like his name suggests, an almost complete opposite of his elder brother. Where as his brother is more laid-back, he always wanted to do something. Hates boredom. Practically doesn't care about everyone equally, but can be pissed off quickly. Never backs away from a chance to fight. Firm believer of "might makes right". Believes the reason his brother lost his Semblance was because he was the "weak" at that time. Has a dirty mouth.

Plays bass in the band. Said he picked up the skill to play one from a guy in FSU. His coarse voice also made him an decent screamer.
Appearance: This

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon: Guillotine
Appearance: No compensating jokes here
Capabilities: Nothing much. Just a big-ass sword with Dust cartridges. Extremely resilient.

Semblance: Supremacy: This passive Semblance basically acts like an exaggerated adrenaline. The more worked up he is, the more enhanced his physical abilities become. Senses, durability, endurance, agility, and strength, all enhanced. However can only enhances his physical ability up to 1000% (meaning ten times his normal) for ten to fifteen minutes before collapsing to prevent heart attack at the time.

Biography: Born as a son of a poor street musician and a seamstress, Akatsuki grown up in the streets of a small city in Atlas following his father's footsteps. When he reached age 15, he finally grown tired of the miserable life they lead. He aspired to become a hunter in order to improve his family's condition, but his parents can't afford the expenses for him to attend a combat school. However, through unknown means, he gained possession of several books about Aura, Semblance, Weapon-Crafting, and Dust; basically anything that he needed to know to become a Huntsman. He crafted and mastered his own weapon at age 16, and mastered his Semblance when he turned 17. When a pack of Grimm suddenly ransacked his hometown, he found the chance to show the results of his secret Huntsman training. The Principal of Beacon Academy heard about this, and thus, he was invited to Beacon. Free of tuition fees of course.

Turning Team STAR into a band was his idea. Lead vocals and electric guitarist of the band.
Personality: Hotheaded, overly-enthusiastic, but sometimes also calculating. Also your generic Metalhead guitarist. Often times told everyone he's the "star" of the team, though the leader wasn't him.
Appearance:

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon: Black Burial
Appearance: The Axe. Literally.
Capabilities: Basically is a semi-automatic rifle transformed into a guitar, with the neck acted as the barrel and the headstock can open to reveal the nozzle. The strings acted as the trigger, so every string he plucked will shot a cartridge. It also has a melee-mode form, in which sharp edges will come out from the sides of the body, turning the guitar into a battleaxe. He can switch between modes by pressing one of the tuning machines. However, its true capabilities lies with Akatsuki's Semblance. The pitch-shifter attached to it boosted his performance. Often also used as a literal guitar when performing.

Semblance: Echoes: He can manipulate soundwaves that he and his guitar produced, either by condensing them and turning them into shockwaves, or by simply augmenting the frequency of the soundwaves, even exceeding human limits of hearing. By using the soundwaves frequency, he could play melodies that affect the minds of those who heard them.

Name: Reinard "Doc" Staal

Biography: Even in his wildest dreams Reinard Staal never wanted to become a Huntsman. His true passion lies with the medical profession. He wanted to become a doctor, helping people who are wounded after fighting Grimms, not fighting the Grimms himself. But alas, Staal family is a family of proud Atlesian Huntsman and Huntresses. As the first son of his generation, he could do nothing when his father, Alfred Staal, a former graduate of Beacon, enlisted him to the academy. Ozpin, as though noticing his passion and expertise in medicine, told him on their first encounter that he could still find use of his talents here. Even though Huntsman and Huntresses generally heal their wounds with Aura, they would need to recharge when it ran out. That's when a medic comes in, to provide first aid in case they suffer another wound with their Aura empty. Plus, students can also help in the Infirmary. Promising that he would find his place in Beacon, Ozpin managed to gain Reinard's interest. Combining the mandatory training he received since childhood from his family members, his medical expertise, and his Semblance, he found his place with Team STAR, serving as the support-stealth attacker, and field medic.

Nobody knows how he could play drums well.
Personality:
Appearance: Always wears a surgical mask to show his expertise in medical knowledge.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon: Arts Mes ("Doctor's Scalpel")
Appearance: There's a pair of them
Capabilities: Able to turn into a bow when combined, to shoot Dust-augmented arrows. He usually carries thirty of them.

Semblance: Hotel California: A Semblance that allows him to create a transparent dome with 15 meters radius. Anything can go in and out of the dome. Reinard held an absolute rule of placement over the things inside the dome. He sometimes used this to teleport himself across the dome, creating the impression as if he was teleporting, when in reality he was just switching places with the air across the dome. This Semblance is very draining, as he can only create one and can only support it for five minutes before having to resort to recharging his Aura. This is why only uses this to end a battle quickly.

When you're inside his Semblance, consider yourself a patient on his operating table.

Team History: Created by Aka-Inu's repeated request to Ozpin, since he felt awkward to go everywhere without a team like everyone else. After the formation, Aka-Inu sported some discontent knowing he wasn't the leader, but still felt grateful to be inside a team. As they grew closer with time, Aka-Inu somehow managed to convince other team members to turn Team STAR into "Band STAR". During the night, especially weekends, and any free time with sufficiently long time, they spent half of the time they're supposed to use to train in combat with performing as a band.
