Last nation standing, forgot the password

Postby ElJefe » Tue Oct 18, 2016 9:34 pm

I was one of the last two nations remaining in Smallballia, however I forgot to log in before my nation was temporarily deleted. The other nation, Multiple Bounty, being the last remaining nation, lost WA Delegate status and can no longer access border controls, including the regional password, which he has forgotten. He said he'd asked admin to reset the password, but the request was denied. Can something be done?

Also, what happens to a completely abandoned region? If MB leaves, does Smallballia cease to exist? If so, can it be re-founded? Or is our only recourse to start a new region?

Thanks for any insights you can offer!

Try to log in with your previous nation, it should give you an option to restore it.

If Multiple Bounty leaves, the region will disappear upon Major update (I think) and then you can re-found the region. This is quite a large part of the R&D game...

Edit:

As long as you have access to your email and you listed your email with your nation you can usually recover the password that way.

Sorry, I was unclear. This account (ElJefe) went inactive too long, ceased to exist, then when I logged back in, was resurrected in a new region (Why does this even happen?).

I want to get back in, but no one knows the PW. Can an admin help? Would an SC resolution to liberate Smallballia do the trick?

If no one knows the password you can do two things.

1. Indeed, write an SC resolution to get it passed.
2. Refound.

If the password is founder imposed, 1 will not work right?

False. Liberations deal with WA Delegate imposed passwords. See more info here.

Not quite. The exact mechanics are that a Liberation will take effect (i.e. negate the password) if there is no founder present in the region. That means that a Liberation can remove a founder-imposed password; however, the founder would either have to be out of the region or have ceased to exist for that to be the case.

Can you answer the hypothetical of a non-exec founder that passworded the region at inception but now can't find the password because they are hidden?

I'd guess that non-executive founders are irrelevant to Liberations, and that if a region has one, they're treated as equivalent to "executive founder not present".

The game has no way of distinguishing between a password imposed at the creation of a region and one implemented later on.

Hello everyone, it seems I have forgotten the password for one of my puppets. I had also not supplied an e-mail address for password recovery :(

Does that mean that this puppet nation of mine is destined to CTE, never to be recovered? Or is there a way out of this?

(Sorry for posting here if the topic is irrelevant. It seemed somewhat relevant, so I thought it would be better to post here rather than open a new topic and create spam.)

Yes.
Frieden-und Freudenland wrote:Or is there a way out of this?

No. That's why we recommend an email address. That and the password are the only two accepted methods of identification.

You thought wrong. This is both threadjacking and gravedigging.
