Alright, I've combed the thread and those who have TG'd me, and this is the current roster for the Advisory Board. Internal Affairs will only be available to thread veterans (those who have been around since day one).

I've decided to, for the sake of convenience, meld the two IA jobs into one. IA Officers can accept applications, dole out thread warnings, etc. You're basically thread police to keep things clean and ensure the mods don't come down on us.

I've also cut down most of the writing advisory requests down to two specializations. I understand some may take issue with this. Understand that my sanity is more important than giving people three or four specializations a piece.

I may cut off openings for writing advisors at some point, but since the numbers are manageable now, it's going to remain open until we hit the new thread. Same goes for utility advisors.

It's moreso the fact that the plot of the Purge movies, and their universe by extension, is a little too constraining. The government have to be comically evil, there need to be over the top villains, it can only run for (x) amount of time, etc.

I imagine I could make it work, but I've never been a fan of using other established universes for RPs. It's just too constraining in terms of characters, story and the like.

There's a lot of potential ideas with that, but the universe in which the films take place would need some serious reworking. The "New Founding Fathers" are too comically evil for my taste.

Its kind of a hard thing to do with non comically evil government because nobody would allow it to happen unless it was on a contained level.

Imo the concept in its purest form can't be done in a non campy/ridiculous way because violence and chaos with literally no other plot involved, just anarchy for its own sake, isn't the best basis for a sci-fi or even dystopian setting.
