Riso and Minoa, just wanted to bring a third supporter for my nomination of Project Semicolon to your attention, as there are only 2 votes recorded.

Wolfmanne2 wrote:If I remove 'invented CCTV cameras' can resubmit it and have the nominations I have received upheld? It was a little joke I added, I'll make it more serious because it is a serious nomination. This is an outrageous decision that makes a mockery of the NSG Peace Prize process. You've removed the joint second highest nomination from the list, this can only be a politically motivated decision, the committee has a horrific bias and is unfit for purpose.
As a protest, I hereby nominate Donald J. Trump until further notice.

The Blue Shield is the cultural equivalent of the Red Cross. It is the protective emblem specified in the 1954 Hague Convention (Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict) for marking cultural sites to give them protection from attack in the event of armed conflict. The Blue Shield network consists of organizations dealing with museums, archives, audiovisual supports, libraries, as well as monuments and sites.

In a period where cultural heritage is under considerable threat from war - as shown by (among other examples) the wanton destruction of cultural heritage in Syria and Iraq by most sides in the overlapping conflicts - those heritage professionals who risk their lives to at least try and save our global cultural heritage for future generations deserve some form of recognition even if the nature of their work means they're not always successful.
I concede my bias, both in terms of general profession and as the (newly appointed) heritage manager for a national Red Cross - but I don't work for the Blue Shield, so I believe I can nominate my Hague Convention colleagues.
I have made it under the nomination deadline, right? I've been a little distracted by the new job over the last week or so. I might have left it a little too late to get supporting nominations, so I might have to try again next year....

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

It is of my opinion that recent events relating to Donald Trump’s misogynistic comments (BBC, 10 October 2016) may place the NSG Peace Prize at risk of serious disrepute if his nomination is allowed to proceed and he subsequently wins.
While I understand the reasons behind the nominations for Donald Trump, it is in my opinion that the serious issues surround Trump, including his comments on Latinos and his proposal to ban all Muslims from the country, outweigh the benefits of allowing such nomination. I recommend that Risottia take this into account.
I also recommend that the official reason for rejecting the nominations for Rodrigo Duterte is due to his role in the Philippine "War on Drugs" and his willingness to slaughter three million drug addicts in response to that (Reuters, 7 October 2016).
