Christo-Our Ladian Warship Competition (1930s)

Postby Our Ladia » Tue Oct 04, 2016 1:07 pm

To all concerned shipyards,

The Our Ladian and Christerian Marine Corp and Stormtrooper Regimentz's battleships and cruisers are becoming obsolete in light of recent technological advances in gunnery and electronics. We also need to replace losses from the Norcourtian Civil War and the Great War. We are also looking to acquire new flattop aircraft carriers. We are, however, unexperianced in there operation so require training to effectively operate. We do intend to acquire enough aircraft to equip said carriers and seaplane carriers.

Paticipating shipyards must be willing to provide the transfer of neccassary knowledge and expertise to domestic shipyards inorder to perform major overhauls.

The following is what types of vessels are needed:
90-130 fleet submarines
100-120 coastal submarines
10-14 sea plane carriers
12-18 light carriers
8-12 pocket battleships
14-22 light cruisers
80-100 destroyers
40-60 fleet replenishment vessels
200 LSTs

Areocraft needed:
180-250 carrier fighters
360-500 carrier capable dive-bombers
180-250 torpedo bombers
60-80 scout/anti-submarine heavy seaplanes
50 seaplane dive-bombers
60 seaplane torpedo bombers
20-40 scout seaplanes
56-70 steam catapult launch scout seaplanes

Sincerely,
Equallar Protector Hercui Leivy

OoC: Yes, I am purposedly vague. I really want to purchase these vessels from a NS country. Considering I have yet to find a PT storefront thats still open, I am desperate to find ships. Please include what your vessels/airplanes are equipped with. If you have made up equipment, please post what it is capable of. For example, a German 15 inch cannon was superior to the American 16 inch. Another important thing to mention is range. A pocket battleship armed with 6× 15 inch guns is awesome, but can it go 1,000 miles at 5 knots?

OoC: I do really appreciate you posting here. I certainly like how you went into detail with its propulsion, range, and crew compliment. However, this RP takes place in the 1930s, so your carrier is too high tech for said era.

I did read your very nice indepth description of the Lexian class here: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic ... #p29468674 . I would be willing to further discuss acquiring 1 or 2 via telegram. Our Ladia and Christeria also operate Essex class fleet carriers, so I will also like to discuss the possiblity of having those upgraded in Dreamlinersea.

The Monarcha M-16 Giodróg Torpedo Bomber is the standard torpedo bomber of the SDF. Cleared for carrier take offs and landings, the Monarcha M-16 Giodróg Torpedo Bomber is not used in this capacity by the SDF-Navy Aviation Command, but as a land-based torpedo bomber.
With the first flight in 1937, the production contract was awarded shortly later and production is in full swing.

Giodróg means minx.

Design
The Monarcha M-16 Giodróg Torpedo Bomber is an all-metal, low-wing constructed aircraft powered by a single Monarcha Gaoth Engine, a two row, 14-cylinder air cooled radial engine. It is a highly reliable aircraft, easy to maintain and to operate.
Self-sealing fuel tanks assure, that the Giodróg doe not burst into flames at the slightest hit – a highly important factor for a relatively lightly armored aircraft such as this, fast and capable of outrunning enemy fighters with ease. She is highly maneuverable due to Fowler Flaps and constant speed propellers. A retractable carriage assures, that the maneuverability of the Giodróg is not marred, while an arrestor hook enables landings on small airstrips or carriers. For easier storage, the wings can be folded up.
The pilot has a free and nearly unhindered look at the world around him and especially in front of him, looking from a closed cockpit forwards with the navigator directly behind him, back to back.
Armed with two forward firing machine guns and one machine gun in dorsal position, the Giodróg can defend itself if necessary, but we recommend not making it necessary in the first place. The aircraft can also be used as a ground-attack aircraft, capable of carrying either a torpedo or 800 kg of bombs or, as we are currently testing, a certain amount of rockets.

Pricing
One squadron of 10 Monarcha M-16 Giodróg Torpedo Bombers, including spare parts for six months of combat service: 1,000,000 NSD.

Image, in flight, Monarcha Air Testing Markings.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.
My people are called the Selkie, the nation is usually called the Free Lands in MT-settings. Thanks.
