Being a dinosaur, Charlene Warner explodes onto Zilatal's political scene with the ferocity of a meat-hungry velociraptor. Her main opponent, incumbent Jose Frasca, is quick to point out the potential disadvantages of her being a dinosaur. "She is a dinosaur. With all due respect, how can we expect her to understand the way Zilatal works? When her kind went extinct, humans didn't even exist. We now live in a world that is interconnected by computers, driven by automobiles, and ravaged by tanks and jet airplanes. It just isn't feasible for a dinosaur to rule a nation like ours in a time like ours." But Warner is quick to fire back, saying, "Saurisia is not like pre-historic Earth in any way, shape, or form. Rep. Frasca clearly does not understand just how advanced we are; we're perfectly capable of understanding life in a country like Zilatal." As election day nears nad the polls tighten, Frasca and Warner debate live on ZPN (Zilatal Political News). They share a surprising number of views, but when talk turns to religion, Frasca smells blood and lunges at the opportunity. "What one believes is God's will should never have a place in politics. There are people in the world who think that God wants mass genocide. Even as a catholic, I believe that religion should never be the cause behind any law in Zilatal." The result of the debate causes some wariness of Warner, and in the election Frasca wins with 41% of the vote, Warner 36%, and other candidates 23%. Despite her defeat, Warner would have a remarkable career as a public speaker and commentator in Zilatal.

Capitalism: Positive stance on Capitalism.
Communism: Good, in theory. Disasterous in application.
Welfare: Just enough to help but not enough to coddle.
Environmental regulation: Preserve and conserve what we have.
Public education: Incredibly important, and not just for a society's youth.
Taxes: As necessary.
LGBT rights: They are citizens, too.
Foreign policy: Talk first, shoot later, not the other way around.
Military: Necessary
Conscription: Not necessary in peacetime, but may be required in wartime emergencies.
Secularism: In a mixed society, it behooves a nation to be dictated by the laws of one religion. In a religious homogenous nation, you wouldn't have to address this issue.

Political position s/he is seeking: District President
Religion: Judaism (Orthodox)
Education: University of Tryphalia City, B.A., M.A., & Ph.D. in Political Science
Ideology: Abrahamism (the idea that only Abrahamic faiths are positive and acceptable for good citizenship)
Appearance: short, with bushy beard and curly hair, spectacles, business suit, and tie.
Stance on...
Capitalism: fine, within the limits that are acceptable to God.
Communism: Godless materialism.
Welfare: best welfare agency is the family, followed by the congregation. Some social services are good, but only within limits.
Environmental regulation: necessary, but should be moderated to avoid economic collapse.
Public education: has its place, as does private and religious instruction. Best to have some religion taught in public schools, of course.
Taxes: necessary, but should not be oppressive.
LGBT rights: they have rights, but they do not include marriage. God doesn't really approve of sodomy.
Foreign policy: strong, but peaceful intentions are best....war only in defensive context.
Military: see above
Conscription: it is your patriotic duty to enlist. If you fail, then the State has the right to make you do your civic duty.
Secularism: not the best idea. It is better to simply recognize all Abrahamic faiths and respect their religious freedom. The heathen are dangerous idolaters and often like to do barbarous things like human sacrifice and religious cult prostitution.

Stance on...
Capitalism: institutionalized greed, a very poor basis for building a nation.

Welfare: the main purpose of government.

Environmental regulation: necessary for the future of the nation.

Public education: necessary for the future of the nation.
