Our Panther assault platform typefies a hovertank pretty well, I would think. Aesthetically, I quite like how they are often made to look.

The Nth Crusade has proven that weaponized jellyfish will lose to weaponized bacteriophages. You'll need to come up with something better.

About hovertanks: if you've got the technology to have a tank lift itself up a building or over a river, then it's probably a pretty good idea to use it, assuming there's still a need for tanks in battle. Though at a certain point a hovertank might evolve into a really compact VTOL aircraft instead if you're looking for mobility and less reliance on good ground conditions. Just my thought.
