One last question(actually, two), what's the difference between "born" and "trained" mages, and what countries would have Magical Institutes/schools?

A born mage is a mage who was born able to manipulate magical energy. A trained mage was born sensitive to magical energy but unable to manipulate it, they had to be taught how to tune into this power more than what they already are and thus able to manipulate it and do magic.

All nations have some form of training for their mages, but a few would stand out.

The Elosian College of Magic, considered the best mage school in the West.

The School of Magical Arts, located in the Republic city of New Deriy.

The National Academy of Supernatural Art in Telveria

The Wilhelm Institute in Havelhine

The Imperial War and Mages Academy in Anderhoven

Adrian was largely brought up by nurses and tutors, and began attending school at an elite institution in Yao for other children of wealthy Elosian inhabitants. He was later sent to boarding school in Indrada for a few years, and then all the way to Tallhouse, where he attended the prestigious and expensive Etby School. During holidays he would then go to Yao to visit his family, or occasionally they would visit him or they would meet in the middle in Indrada or Hazram or Escradia or Geno. In Indrada he was taught a minimal amount about his pyromantic abilities, which had been apparent since he was a small child. After school, Adrian was offered a position in the Secret Service Bureau of the Elosian government by the father of a school friend (essentially the old boys' network), and accepted, mostly because it gave him an excuse to travel, collect a decent salary, and not have to do much. He has spent the last year traveling, visiting various Elosian colonies and particularly spending time in Hazram and Indrada (and during this time has also established ties to other spies from Havelhine, Anderhoven, Rikiveg, and Telveria). As a result of his well-traveled life, he speaks a multitude of languages. In the meantime, his parents have finally moved to Tallhouse back from Yao, though they have maintained their house there. I do have a few issues with this app. First off he has to be in the city of Tallhouse which is located in Elosia, and with the increase of hostilities it does not make much sense for him to be in the city of a country that Havelhein will be at war with. So if you do wish him to be Havelian then he should be a civilian, alternatively he could be Elosain or Telverian. The war hasn't started yet but I do think it will be a little awkward for a Havelian soilder to be in Tallhouse.

General Information Character Name: Kristian Jonah Virén Appearance: Age: 36 Sex: Male Bio: Kristian was born to a poor immigrant family living in Elosia. His parents had migrated before he was born from a small nation known as Scorania that is currently on the brink of an revolutionary war. Kristian has two siblings, brother Edvard and sister Margaret but his parents only managed to afford to educate their oldest, Kristian. In his early life, he thrived in school, much to his teachers surprise as he was from a poor family and was so considered unable to receive high education. He also shoved some talent in sports, especially long-distance running. When he was 17 he was noticed by military officers in a running competition, in which he managed to break the record of his age. What really woke their interest was that during the run he showed surprisingly high tolerance of pain for a man his age. Officers believed that with training and little luck he would become a good mage for the military. Fortune was in Kristians side and he showed talent in Ferromancy and was offered a job in the military. Military offered him steady pay check that was large enough to take care of his whole family and so he gladly accepted their offer and joined the military. He spent next 8 years of his life training his powers in the army. His first assignment came when he was 25 years old when he was sent Yao city with 95th grenadier regiment. His first year there went peacefully but in the second year of their assignment a rebellion broke out and his regiment was sent to protect the citys outskirts. The rebels were badly armed peasant that were outraged because their once great empire was now slave of foreign powers and were advancing towards Yao city with intents to kill every foreigner within the city. While marching towards the outskirts of the city they were ambushed by quickly advancing rebels. Surrounded and outnumbered by rebels the 95th dug in just outside of the inner city walls unable to retreat back in. For three days his regiment hold out against the horde of rebels but in the fourth day their lines started falling apart. In that moment of despair Kristian used for the first time his power to it’s limit. He used his powers to turn any piece of iron he could find in to knives which he then proceeded to throw with horrific speeds to the rebels that were breaking their lines. Any shot that came towards him he blocked with his power, but it should also be noticed that the rebels were only armed with muskets and outdated rifles. After the rebels lost their will to fight against a seemingly invulnerable whirlwind of iron his regiment finally had the chance to retreat. Kristian fell unconscious right at the moment they were safe inside the city walls. Kristian was promoted to lieutenant for his actions and was awarded a distinguished service cross thanks to his actions. After his promotion he stayed in the 95th fifth grenadier regiment and was considered somewhat of an hero by his brothers in arms. His motivation for staying with the army is that if the chance shows itself he would be allowed to leave for Scorania to lead a possible revolutionary war against the king. Still Kristian knows that the chance for that would probably never come and is satisfied with his life in Elosia. Mage?(Yes, No): Yes Nationality: Scoranian/Elosian

Augustus started to waver as he got older, his learning halted for a time while he went into a depressed state when he was thirteen. Eventually his brothers would encourage him to keep going and with that he would be sent off to the Wilhelm Institute at the age of fourteen. It was at Wilhelm that Augustus found his calling, he began to study and learn more. His addiction for knowledge grew, and soon enough he had completely read the entire Institute's library. After graduating from the Institute with flying colors Augustus decided to travel the world and learn all he can about magic. His first spot, the Elosian College of Magic. Given the gaps in age and socioeconomic class, I think it's extremely unlikely they'd personally know one another, but Kristian might know who Adrian's father is, so if they ever met in a bar or something he might be like "oh you're Alexander Devalle's son" or something. I doubt Devalle was the most recognizable in Yao, but he's definitely a VIP there.

General Information Character Name: James Edward Carroll Appearance: James Age: 26 Sex: Male Bio: James was born in the Elosian city of Tallhouse, growing up in the Townhouse of a former factory owner. From a young age James showed a talent for activities of the conniving variety, from stealing sweets to becoming the leader of a small gang of bullies. By the time he was fifteen James had become obsessed with Magic, specifically a less-powerful yet more versatile form known as 'Curse Magic'. This obsession would lead him to enroll at the Elosi Collage of Magic, although he would be expelled in his last year at the collage for poor behavior and inhumane experiments regarding a rat maze filled with magical traps. He was twenty years old when his private studies finally reached the point where his spells could be used on a grander scale, with uses from combat to construction. It was around this time in the young Mage's life after his expulsion from the collage that he came to meet an Elosian nationalist named Richard. After weeks of discussing politics, James came around to Richard's way of thinking- seeing the Constitutional Monarchy as a sham, a show put on to appease the masses while the nobles chose who sat in the government. James would take part in a variety of criminal activities over the next two years, before finally getting arrested and slapped with a two-year sentence in prison, leading up to the current events of the RP. Oh you mean that they would meet during the RP. That would work pretty well and your doubt is well-grounded, i didn't really think that idea through before throwing it on the table.

Also i'm not sure about how much mages affect the battles but since in the OP it says that one mage can be worth 100 rifles i suppose that what my guy did was something that commanders usually expect from mages.

I would like to limit the number of characters from Havelhine, but if you make something of particular interest it may get through.

This is the fix for my earlier submission. I did not like the idea that Erwin would have been a spy as I was unsure how I might have used it.

General Information Character Name: Aiden McDonnell Appearance: 5'2, 125lbs., brown hair, brown eye Age: 31 Sex: Male Bio: Born as the eldest to a middle class family from Elosian Cordona, and raised to take his over father's business. Erwin had other ideas, he wanted to help people from a young age. He spent his childhood patching up minor injuries for the other children, and himself, from time to time. Much to his father's disagreement, He then dedicated himself towards medical schooling and became a surgeon. Opening his own clinic in after moving to mainland Elosia, at age 28, with moderate success, despite the primacy of mages in the medical fields, before being ran out due to discrimination related to his colonial upbriging. With the increase of hostilities between nations, Christopher enlists in the Elosian army out of desperation, despite his regrets of leaving home, with the hope of doing more good in the field. Oblivious to the horror of modern war, he perseveres through training.
