FFA Pro Cup I[Aeia only]

The Football Federation of Aeia is proud to present its newest tournament for the association football clubs of Aeia, the Pro Cup.
The tournament shall see the top club teams of each nation compete for the FFA Pro Cup, claiming the title of champion of club football within Aeia.
Each nation shall be given four slots to submit teams, although smaller nations with less footballing prestige may submit fewer teams for the tournament.
The top two teams within each nations league will automatically proceed onto the Group stages, whereas third and fourth place are required to enter into the qualifying stages.
The tournament will not be promoted as much as the Copa d'Aeia within the region and as such information within the tournament will not be as in-depth. Scores will still be tallied throughout the Pro-Cup, however scorers/injuries/cards will not be handed out, instead it is up to nations themselves to decide how these will play out.

The tournament will take place over a long period of time, with matchdays taking place each week. The top teams from the qualifying round will be entered into the group stages, with the winners moving on to the knockout stage and final to be held in Tolva, Veleaz. The FFA hopes this new tournament will revitalise club football throughout Aeia and build upon the international cooperation fostered within the Copa d'Aeia.

The Official FFA Pro-Cup entries from Ohen.

Football in Ohen is governed by the Imperial Ohenian Football Authority (IOFA). Each of the federal regions of Ohen has it's own league, some regions have two leagues, but not many. Football is the sixth most popular spectator sport in Ohen. At the end of the season the top team from each of the federal regions is entered into a tournament known as the Imperial Victory Cup. A further team is drawn as a wildcard from a pool of the second placed teams in each of the regions. These 16 chosen teams then play off in a elimination tournament until there is a winning team. the two losers of the semi-final games compete for third position. The IOFA has given the all clear for this years winner and runner-up to enter.

FFA Pro Cup Review: Helluos Dragons

The Helluos Dragons are Tarasanovia's second representative in the FFA Pro Cup. The team hails from a large city called Helluos, which holds a staggering four million people within it. Just scraping second place in the league by two points, this rigid outfit will have their work cut out for them within the first stage of the tournament.

Helluos Dragons off to Disappointing Start

The Helluos Dragons have started the tournament in a very tame fashion only achieving two points from two games in the first stage of the cup. These results include a 1-1 draw against Ohen side Setersad Warriors and a highscoring 3-3 draw with Veleaz side Terando FT. Despite these results manager Hugo Metz says he still sees faith in his side and hopes they can claim a top 6 finish.

The first game started off with an early Dragons goal, in the 23rd minute, giving a wide hope of chances for the new year in football. The goal came from a few well-worked passes that came to 34 year old Rohst-born Wolfe Spellmeyer who finished the chance. Though the Warriors fought back and played a very dominating game against the Tarasanovia outfit and eventually scored to bring the game to 1-1. Despite attempts from either side to score a winner, nothing more happened and the game ended 1-1.

The second was much more lively with lots of attacks from either end that left fans on the edge of their seats. Straight away Ternardo captain Jaime Romero scored a thunderbolt into the top corner and soon enough another goal came from the Veleaz side. The Dragons fought back though and scored two more goals, coming from new signing Eanraig MacChruim in the 56th minute and substitute Marijo Barton in the 68th minute. Then in the 71st minute the Dragons took the lead, coming from highly praised youngster Zackary Jakeman, who had broken in the team and is now a starter. Though it didn't last for long and late into the game Ternando scored to equalize and the game ended, 3-3.

We spoke to numerous players and members on their thoughts. Here's Hugo Metz's thoughts:

TG: "Are you disappointed with your results?"
HM: "A little bit we can still pushing. (Dragons) experienced some bad luck and we can definitely turn it around."
TG: "Where do you see yourself finishing on table, or at least what is the goal?"
HM: "Of course, the top six is the goal but I really do believe we can achieve a top two finish. We really are that good."
TG: "Do you feel the problems happening in Tarasanovia are affecting your performance."
HM: "A bit but you know... We try to be focused. The most important thing here of course though is our members safety."
TG: "Thanks for chatting."

I was watching the Oostenburg-Union game. That shot by Köler would've won it for them had he not missed it. Then the final whistle blew, that game was over. I felt bad for him, but hey, I'd rather we play another team instead of the damned Knights again in finals.

Anyways, Goebel's leg is still screwed up. Doc said he ain't going to be playing for the next two weeks, so I'm substituting Ludwig Heilbronn in for him. He's a good player. Depending how Goebel's leg heals up, I might just swap their roles! Hahahahaha.

Also, lemme know what ya think about that new logo design Seidl submitted. I like it, but I feel like you won't.
