Anything in mind?

A few things, like man portable ClF3 flamethrowers, chainsaw bayonets, the shotgun equivalent to Raufoss ammo.

A lot can be produced by a sociopathic soldier who read a bit too much 40k while recovering from a head injury.

MEC Troopers would have an optional flamethrower, but we could maybe produce a lightweight variant. Not sure about chainsaw bayonets as that screams Gears of War, but the Raufoss ammo is possible.

It does, but with an elerium battery, they wouldn't be nearly as loud as a normal chainsaw, and if alien alloys are used it could probably eat through most armors.

So you'd take your chainsaw for a one-on-one with a Chryssalid? Sounds fun.

It would be, it'd make things a bit more fair in that regard at the least.

Mission 01: Not Alone

LOCATION: San Marcos, Jalisco, Mexico
The primary zone for engagement will be along the town's main avenue. Near the highway the space is open but quickly becomes claustrophobic the closer you are to the town center with many buildings in close proximity that will offer ample cover and places to hide. A shopping center in San Marco's downtown is expected to be the epicenter of non-terrestrial activity.

So I've been using a simple method of determining if the aliens score their hits or not, and I've gotta say they make Stormtroopers look like expert marksmen. Even rolled the same shot three times and the alien missed every single one of them.

I'm thinking that an XCOM spray could get Milky back onto her feet, but only to be stationary. Probably could provide rear cover for casualty evacuation.
How to be legitimately recognised in NS? Be a proper Roleplayer.
In a community where knowledge should be used to uplift the teachable and be used as an interest instead of a necessity, the arrogant abuse of knowledge is interesting to watch.

Name: Anselmo Zavala
Nickname: None
Age: 26 (Nov 18 1988)
Sex: Male
Nationality: Chilean
Appearance:
Image

Rank: Squaddie
Class: Marksman
Weapon: Designated Marksman Rifle, Handgun
Gear: Nano-Fiber Vest , S.C.O.P.E

Previous Assignment:
Chilean Army- 15th Infantry Battalion: 2 years
Chilean Army- Special Operations Brigade "Lautaro": 6 years

Skills: Good Memory, Genius-level Intelligence, Accurate
Weakness: Limited Self-Taught passed secondary school, Kinda a perfectionist, Blunt

Personality: Anselmo is a calm, reserved, somewhat shy person that can be social with people and clueless about certain social aspects. Though he is a genius, he is humble about it and generally has a back up plan for if something goes wrong. He tends to become commitment to anything he is apart of, even if he doesn't like it he will still give it his all regardless. He also tries to keep the negative aspects of his personality in check like his perfectionist and blunt tendencies but, they can appear at times.

Bio: Anselmo was born in Antofagasta, Chile to a miner and a primary school teacher and is the oldest of four. He had a good childhood and his family is close despite his parent's giving Anselmo more attention at times. Because earlier on , his parents, mainly his mother discovered that he was smarter than most and wanted him to achieve his full potential. Which he did despite his family's almost being poor and and things were looking good, till his last year of secondary school. When he and his family got in a horrible car accident and while no one died, His younger brother and sister got the worse of it with with severe injuries. The medical expenses were high and the family would not have been able to pay without going into debt and Anselmo decided rather to let that happen. He wanted to use the money that was for his university fund to help pay for the expenses. Which his parents agreed reluctantly and after much conniving by Anselmo. The expenses were paid off and with little options left for him, he choose to enlist after completing secondary school.

Though he joined up as a backup plan and he planned on going to university eventually , he took it seriously and gave it his all. His intelligence, calm demeanor and commitment made him a good solider and have excellent accuracy with assault rifles. After two years his skills caught the eyes of the Special Operations Brigade who offered him a choice of joining them which he accepted since, he grew to like life in the military and wanted to give more before he would eventually leave. Two weeks after he left the military and was applying for universities was when Xcom contract him. Anselmo realizing the importance of Xcom, he once again he put his plans aside and joined Xcom.

Out of curiosity, how much freedom do I have describing the effects of the combat sim or the spray that the medic uses in the game. So far I've just been assuming that I have a regular health kit, but is there anything specific I should describe the spray or the combat stim (I have played XCOM: EU)? My idea is that I describe the combat stimulant as enhancing strength, reflexes, and pain tolerance. I would also talk about the stimulant as being a cocktail of drugs that if taken too much, would cause a devastating crash for the person's bodily systems. It would be kinda like a sugar rush.

Just asking.

Update: Iskra is up for interaction for anyone at the base. I'm guessing that she has some free time before everyone from the mission comes back and she has to help treat wounds.

I'd imagine the health pack is a mix of synthetic stem cells, platelets, and painkillers. To stop bleeding, heal the wound quicker, and to dull the pain. Combat stims are probably something close along the lines of meth and epinephrine.

Also I learned the respirator provides it's bonus by jamming a metal tube into the user's neck to provide oxygen... I'm kinda glad I (unknowingly) changed it.

Although, If I remember correctly, aren't the EW combat stims only available after killing a berserker and researching it?

Someone should call June for support

Also, I'm going to start working on the app for the other super special character pretty soon. I'm thinking of a Sri Lankan engineer or scientist who fought for the Tamil Tigers previously.

With extensive background checks, would China, who has a large presence in world issues, actually anyone from the LTTE to enter XCOM ?

We have someone from both the IRA and from Peshmerga.

I don't think world superpowers are the ones who are approving or rejecting X-COM members.

Just waiting for an ISIS App where the sniper has killed plenty of Foreign Legionnaires throughout the Middle East, scouted for having connections with unknown powers who sponsored some of the most intricate attacks throughout the world.

I know you're being sarcastic but that would actually be hilarious for character interaction considering that a bunch of us have characters who fought similar groups.
