A cattle stockyard and slaughterhouse north of the petrol station. Bravo is to the south checking out the garage and its courtyard and then both teams will link up to search a house that sits in the middle. It looks like it has a first adn second floor apartment, the roof is flat and can be accessed by the stairs, and the windows have cages over them so they aren't viable entry points. I guesstimated all this from google maps using street view.

Skills: Iskra began her military career in the Russian Air-Landing forces (VDV/ Airborne). She can speak and write in Russian, Chinese (Mandarin) and English fluently. In her time with Doctors without Borders she gained some experience in surgery. She is used to working with minimal medical equipment and can improvise instruments if needed too. Combat wise, she can parachute from helicopters and plane due to her training in the VDV. She is also an above average shooter and has good hearing.

Weakness: She is very cautious and paranoid due to her experience in Syria with the FSA due to the barrel bombs dropped by the Syrian Military. She doesn't get along well with people who don't care for others and people who are career soldiers. She hates the later more so due to personal reasons regarding her father. She refuses to give up her own ideals and doesn't cooperate well with people she doesn't agree with.

Personality: While outwardly she likes to display a macho and a no nonsense attitude, she is actually a very nurturing person. It pains her to see her comrades hurt in any capacity. Ironically, she hates the concept of war but feels that her skills are best used on the battlefield than in civilian capacities. Having experienced what war is like, she feels that it is these "victims of war" that lack proper medical treatment and care. She refuses to give up her own ideals because she is very stubborn. She takes more from her father in her personality than her mother.

Bio:

Born in the early morning of January 7th, 1985, Iskra's birth was something that both her parents had looked forward too. Her mother and father were an ethnically mixed couple. Her father was a Russian who had served in Afghanistan and worked in a car manufacturing plant. He grew up in an communal apartment and was the leader among his peers. He was in Afghanistan as a medic in the VDV and he had a fondness for alcohol much to her mother's displeasure. He never treated her harshly when he was drunk, but instead entered some sort of static trace that was broken by the following morning as the hangover set in. Her mother was an exchange student from Beijing and she later moved to the USSR for nursing school. It was during her tenure that she met Iskra's father. He was helping Iskra's mother navigate the city of Volgograd during her first year. After that they began talking to one another and then they grew fond of one another. They got married right after her graduation from nursing school. While her mother contributed the most of the family's income, her father did a majority of the household chores since he was used to it.

However her father began experiencing hallucinations at his work when she was three years old. He began drinking more and started talking more about his service in Afghanistan than anything else. Of course Iskra was still too young to understand what her father was saying but she understood there was weight to his words. Then suddenly in March 7th, 1990, he left the household. Iskra was only 6 years old when this occurred and her mother was furious by the note he left in the bedroom explaining his actions. She swore him off and now had to spend more time at work to take care of the family. Of course her father's side of the family stepped in to help, but this never really replaced the emotional gap left behind by her missing father.

At school, she was often the only or few Asian people at the school. As such she was an easy target for other children to pick on and she resented them for this. She always felt like an outsider. A stalk of grain among a sea of needles. But she never took their insults and their bullying lightly. In fact one time she actually beat a boy unconscious before his friends stepped him and beat her up. Her mother scolded her for being so harsh to these bullies, but was always proud of her daughter for not letting anyone step on her. Because of this fierce reputation and her numerous fights, she learned how to triage herself. Her mother also taught her some skills since she was a nurse, but Iskra learned most of her own treatments by first-hand experience and experimentation. From these self-triages she aspired to be a nurse like her mother and focused her studies on nursing.

Iskra's only real memory of her father was when she was 11 and the First Chechen War ended. It was a cold late afternoon in October 1996 when a very familiar man came to the home Iskra and her mother had lived in. The man looked weary, there was a duffel bag right next to him, he wore an ultramarine beret and a ragged military uniform. He introduced himself as Mister Ivanov and asked if her mother was home. She told him that her mother wasn't and he said that he would wait for her right outside the door. Sure enough when Iskra's mother came home and saw this man, she immediately lashed out at him. He stood there silently and expressionless before replying "I'm sorry for deserting my post. But I have returned to set things right again. I will not go AWOL any longer." Her mother grudgingly accepted her father's apology and he lived with them for more than half a year. Her father spent alot more time in the house than he did when Iskra was much younger, sometimes he went out to look for work but he always came back with nothing else but the smell of alcohol on his clothes and in his breath. He introduced Iskra to one of his new friends and told her that Mister Barinov would be her martial arts instructor. She later found out that Mister Barinov was an Afghan War Veteran and had been a KGB Spestnaz Commando back in the day. He was a good friend of her father and was the very person who suggested that he go back to his family. Mister Barinov was Iskra's martial arts mentor for a long time until she left to Moscow for Nursing School. She wrote letters to him but stopped when she volunteered with the FSA later in her life.

Eventually after more than half a year, her father left the family again to never return. She never really understood his reason, but this seemed like the last straw for her mother who wanted their names to be changed legally. Mister Barinov was furious as well and when he could no longer contact her father, he stuck around Iskra's neighborhood for many years. In those years he continued to be Iskra's martial arts teacher until he moved to St. Petersburg for family reasons. He never gave the reason why but sent Iskra a letter stating his new address.

When Iskra graduated from secondary school and moved onto University, she felt that her life was already set for her. However during those four years of University, she felt that she needed to reconnect with her father somehow. She wanted to understand why he had to leave and why he had done the things he did. She wanted to know why he always was a soldier. This reason combined with several student debts led her to enlist into the Russian Military, specifically the VDV. Of course she wasn't treated with much respect in the Military due to her race and her gender. Many of her male counterparts didn't take her seriously and treated her badly - to say the least. She wanted to desert but this desire ended when she had her first taste of war. While the South South Ossetia War was a very short conflict in comparison to the other recent conflicts in Modern Russian history, it was here her first understanding of war came to be. She didn't see any point to the reason why they were fighting. Of course they were here to defend someone's interest, but that also meant someone else's interests were being overruled. The only thing she saw was suffering, and this suffering gave her the drive to be a medic in areas afflicted by war.

Once her time in the Russian Military was over, she got a job in Afghanistan as a nurse with Doctors Without Borders (MSF). She was perfectly content with her job until the Syrian Civil War started and she began seeing the images of the conflict on the internet. These images disgusted her and it led to her resignation from MSF and a plane ticket to Syria. She fully understood that her country did not support the FSA, but she did not care. She felt more sympathy for the FSA than with the Syrian Government and less so with ISIS. Her presence in the FSA was strange at first, but it was in the FSA that she felt true comradeship. She wasn't mistreated like she was in the VDV and this gave her willingness to protect her comrades no matter the cost. She continued being part of the FSA until February 2014 when she was captured by ISIS militants. Just when it was her turn to be executed, a squad of Spestnaz commandos just happened to appear and rescue her from her ISIS captors. Upon her "rescue" she was extradited back to Russia onboard of an Il-76. Of course the details of this operation were not disclosed by the Russian Government or Military for unspecified reasons. Whatever reason they gave her, Iskra was signed up for the XCOM project and sent off to America.

Ivanov is a really common last name in Russia. It's kinda like the Smiths of Russia. Also conscription was part of the Soviet Union, so her father would have been most likely in the military since he came from a common working background. Vasily is also a common name in Russia and alcoholism is very high in Russia. So there is a possibility that she could be related to Vasily but also the possibility that she is not Then again one could compare both Iskra's and Vasily's bios to see if they are compatible. There are numerous similarities in the details of the bio.

Skills: Murphy is qualified in almost any form of shooting when it comes to rifles. As well he has a knack for knives, which is the reason for his nickname (and also due to his tendency to shave using his combat knife).

Personality: Murphy is someone who's always been told where to go his entire life. As such he defines success as whatever his superiors at the time thinks is important. As such Murphy becomes obsessed with defeating any obstacles in his path and doing it in a way that allows him to follow the orders laid out for him. Murphy reflects this through his stiff and somewhat over the top; military formality and bearing.

Bio: Raised in Toledo, Ohio; John Murphy was the product of an overbearing mother and a police chief. Both his parents were rather controlling and ever-present in his upbringing; always telling him what he needed to do next to get ahead in the world. Murphy's dad in particular steered his impressionable son through the years on the path to the United States Marine Corps; an organization that Murphy's father had been a part of for nine years before retiring.

In the Marine Corps, Murphy found his calling for following orders without question to be a perfect fit in the various units he went through until landing in Afghanistan after nearly three years of non-combat roles stateside. Here, Murphy saw limited combat through the three years he spent in country. While not distinguishing himself, Murphy's record with the Marine Corps and the presence of his father's friend saw the young marine sent to Force Recon training. There he continued the trend of doing well enough to pass but not draw any attention of the good or bad variety.

So he was shuttled into a reserve unit out of MacDill AFB, where he sat waiting for a year until someone representing a secret organization approached Murphy. A marine who while skilled skilled and not insubordinate, was not on any tier-1 units nor a bottom of the barrel find. Otherwise, a perfect candidate to pad the ranks of an organization who would need its fair share of competent cannon fodder in the field.
