Dear me, this new Prime Minister is being far worse than I expected: not simply building on any of the work of my government but rather trying to undo it all. Shazbotdom, if I can advise you, this is not the way to keep the IFC independent. Allowing IYF and Aravea back in without correspondingly increasing the number of non-SACTO members will result in an IFC (accidentally or purposefully, it doesn't matter which) dominated by SACTO... again. [/quote]
I for one don't see any problem, joint SACTO/IFC members are all democracies of some sort whom value freedom as much as you or I. Plus, there are not enough SACTO members to force something through if there is any sort of opposition. If they were the sort to use those tactics.

In all seriousness, we should probably get back down to business. Any up for a resolution on banning indiscriminate weapons of warfare?
For the next session of the Council, Ausitoria would like to table a motion of confidence in the Speaker as the first order of business please, and as the second order of business would like to request that the Speaker does not admit new members to the Council until they have first been approved by the Council. The charter states that the Council may choose its own membership.

Of course, the International Commonwealth Agency feels it safer that you be reminded of the principle of legislative sovereignty and supremacy. Therefore they changed the rule before resigning. Are you trying to fuck this up on purpose so people beg your corrupt ass back in?
You're fucking it up, right now; if you get your way, the IFC will be nothing more than a PR-friendly front for SACTO. If it isn't already.

Nice try Val But if I'm not mistaken, I'm supposed to be tackling the Treasury gig this iteration - which, I'll hopefully have more on to update people in the coming days (that is, if anyone is interested in listening, of course).

If he wants it, he can beg the Speaker for it. But I'm not about to hand over the keys of power to a power-hungry dictator - and I know one when I see one. My dictatorship, such as it was, was reimposing balance and moderation in the IFC. This dictatorship is undoing all that and taking the highway to irrelevance. No wonder SACTO is overjoyed.

Chilokver, I beg your pardon; I think you may be dead right, and I may be dead wrong. I must say I'm flabbergasted by the breathtaking speed with which Shazbotdom has abandoned centrism and moderatism. It seems increasingly clear Shazbotdom has no wish to compromise with any opposition; traits which I think can be pardoned in a centrist like me, but are utterly ruinous if held by a partisan.
Now, the question is, first, can anyone bring Shazbotdom under control; and second, if not, should we aim for an amicable split, with nations able to remain members in both?New Chilokver wrote:[...make the International Freedom Coalition great again] - "Shaz Trump"

Indeed, what a marvel it was, he thought to himself as he sipped a glass of tea. His own wears included a lavish silver leopardskin jacked, an equally polished silver fedora embedded with valuable gems and a tie adorned with the fibers of many expensive silk materials taken from a variety of overseas departments of Pax Centrum. Such were the benefits of weilding the kind of power the Centrits wielded. Parliament was due in session for all but another half-hour or so; giving him time to walk through the glistening halls of such a magnificent building with its windows of custom crafted glass and its marble floors forever unburdened by the sight of dirt that must degrade the governmental huts of certain regressive and overly partisan nations. Before he knew it, Aurius found himself entering the courtyard - ah the luxury of being as he, always a good choice even when you don't know it. In the center of the expansive yet well-trimmed garden was a fountain-statue of pure silver; depicted by such an impressive beacon of artisanship and innovative water works was a wise man carring a set off tools on his back and a perfectly balanced scale. Crystalline ice water poured from the wise-mans mouth unto the scales, keeping both ends in place before it trickled down. Below the fountain sat a woman sipping from the fountain and enjoying a tasty scone - yes, even the fountains here in Pax Centrum were worthy of drink and who could refused a masterfully baked scone? This particular madame was Princess Feria Galihan, her title entirely ceremonial yet both her wisdom and sense of high fashion were too valuable to ignore. "Good morning, m'lady! Chancellor Aurius said, tipping his diamond encrusted fedora to the lady in the garden. "A pleasure as always, Chancellor, you are the most nuanced of gentleman!" She replied, standing up - careful not to spill the delicate crumbs of her scone unto the triple-layer metallic lace dress or her 16cm court shoes adorned with a platform of pure sapphire ore. "What is it we shall discuss this fine morning?" "Oh, we have so much to say... Where to begin?" Delegate to the IFC Council Information Name: Lord Morey Hansford Age: 32 Gender: male Biography (optional): Education (optional): At the prestigious Commonwealth Central University, one of the best and most expensive schools in the world. Reason for your nation desiring to join the IFC: To improve our diplomatic standing, and safegaurd liberty, stablity and moderism across the globe Do you hereby agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth under the Charter in IFC legislation?: yes Signature: Aurius Metford Date: 5 September, 2016 **IFCAPP** |

Once again, chemical weapons are part of my detterence policy and will be used only when deemed 100% worthy of being deployed. Furthermore theres nothing wrong with using cluster munitions against militaty targets.
(I assume thats what this ban is aimed at?)
Ban or no ban, I'm keeping them and will use them if required.
