Dear Sir Huey,

Thank you for your letter of 19 August.

I am pleased to be able to confirm in writing the intentions of Her Majesty's Government to accede to the wishes of the Crown Colony of Cape Feldman in the establishment of a new dominion in the Dangish Empire. Cape Feldman is an integral part of the Dangish Empire, and though its population may be small, Her Majesty's Government wish to put it on a firm, sustainable and democratic footing for the future. Though not strictly necessary, I believe it wise to affirm the support of the other dominions in Feldman's accession, in addition, of course, to the informed consent of Her Majesty.

Given the unique role of Cape Feldman in the security and safety of the Dangish Empire, Her Majesty's Government does intend to issue certain defence safeguards to begin immediately, before the declaration of dominion is finalised. First, I am informed by the Admiralty that the Feldman docks believe themselves capable to handle a major Imperial security contract. As I am sure you are well aware, Her Majesty's Government intend to legislate later this summer to proceed with a new 'Clarent' class of nuclear missiles as mentioned in the Overton Review. Though it was our intention to commission the scheme in Rectaura, we now intend to tender amongst Imperial firms for the contract. Firms based in the Cape, most notably Zeni-Seco, are most dearly invited to bid.

All three of the traditional service ministries are insistent that with dominion must come a significant upgrade in the Empire's defensive presence on the Cape. The War Office wish to add an additional division to the current presence there and the Air Ministry wish to deploy three squadrons to be relocated as we reduce our presence in Pangus. Most notably, the Admiralty wish to station two destroyers and an aircraft carrier in Feldman, as well as base several of the new Clarent missile submarines in the area. The Crytography Office do not have any plans for increased deployment to Cape Feldman.

In addition to this scheme, I have consulted with both the Second Lord and the Colonial Secretary to discuss financial arrangements during the transitional period to dominion status. The Second Lord has agreed, most generously on behalf of Her Majesty's Government, to guarantee the Cape Feldman per capita budget until 2020, though of course Her Majesty's Government request in such a scenario powers over discretionary spending. Additionally, the Colonial Secretary has agreed that the Foreign & Colonial Office shall develop basic IT systems on behalf of the Crown Colony, in order to ease the transition. Though this too is dependent on the views of the other dominions, Her Majesty's Government estimate that the Cape will be entitled to six Commons members and two Lords in the Imperial Parliament. These shall be co-opted until the next Imperial general election.

I am sure you are familiar with the process that shall accompany a declaration of dominion. The Foreign & Colonial Office intend to brief the Crown Colony on the steps ahead. Your position as Governor shall naturally come to an end, though a new and more ceremonial position of Governor-General shall come into being. Elections ought to be conducted by 2017, until which point the Colonial Secretary shall assume a transitional role as Prime Minister. Your services are likely to be necessary to provide effective administration during this period on the ground.

By the order given by His Majesty the King through the Royal Ukaz dated 26th of August, 2016, document n°16-RU-6132, the Customs Authority of the Kingdom of Nikolia has immediately shifted its resources into following the said order. As of 1st of September 2016, total number of Customs Officers has been increased by 10% in all Customs Offices, most notably in CI Luka Beograd 1 and 2, CI Aleksandrovo Luka, CI Aerodrom Beograd 1, 2 and 3 and CI Luka Belina 1. Likewise, on several locations where Rombergian trade is the highest, Customs Authority has set up additional mobile scanners, tracker units and specialised crew. As suggested by His Majesty's Royal Ukaz, on 5th of September, Customs Officers have searched vessels and vehicles entering and leaving special customs area in Beograd Harbour and on that occasion more than 25 metric tonnes of goods whose worth is estimated to be 452,000 Dukats has been seized and moved to CI Luka Beograd 2 storage.
On 6th of September, a vessel flying Auroran flag has attempted to enter Nikolian customs area through CI Luka Nikolajevo. It was discovered on documentation and on search that vessel carried 40 metric tonnes of goods whose destination point was Western Tundra. Estimated worth of seized goods is 1,750,200 Dukats.
On 7th of September, three trucks crossing the country border from Berique through Border Crossing Karamarkovo were found to carry goods directed to Western Tundra. Vehicles as well as drivers were from Berique. On that occasion, 63 metric tonnes of goods whose worth is 1,240,000 Dukats were seized and transported to CI Skopje Ranžirna storage. One of the drivers was arrested by the Žandarmerija and was taken to Karamarkovo Police Station on questioning.
Total tonnage of seized goods is 128 metric tonnes.
Total worth of seized goods is 3,442,200 Dukats.

Dear Sir Huey,

Thank you for your letter of 24 November.

This past week, I have had discussions with my ministerial colleagues in our capacity as Her Majesty's Government on the subject of the accession of the Crown Colony of Cape Feldman to dominion status within the Dangish Empire. As you well know, it is has been the policy of Her Majesty's Government, and the expressed will of the Imperial people as expressed in the last general election, for Cape Feldman, an integral part of the Empire, to be put on a sustainable and democratic political footing for the future. In constitutional terms, this means the colony's accession to dominion status.

Since your last letter, I have also been in discussion with the premiers of the Imperial dominions in order to gauge their support for Feldman's accession. Some small issues were raised; the Epsom government had concerns about the specific plans of Her Majesty's Government for the establishment of a new Feldman constitution. Simply, the Prime Minister of Epsom wished to know whether a draft constitution would come from the Cape or from New London. I informed her that, as in the cases of previous accessions, the constitution would be created in New London but would be freely subject to local amendments. No plebiscite will be held.

I am also pleased to have gathered the consent of Her Majesty the Queen for the dominion accession. The Palace has agreed that Her Majesty will undertake a tour of Feldman in the new year to commemorate the accession. This tour will include a visit to the Feldman docks to inspect the 'Clarent' contract at the Zeni-Seco plant, and indeed a visit to all the defensive arrangements made by Her Majesty's Government on the Cape. I am informed that the Palace intend to issue a new medal to honour personnel based in Feldman.

I would also like to share with you the plans agreed within Her Majesty's Government for the declaration of dominion. Notably, we believe the necessary arrangements have been made such that the declaration may take place on 1 January 2017. A constitution, textually identical to the constitutions established at accession for New Faentland and Maltrone, will take place. The Colonial Secretary intends to advise Her Majesty to appoint you as the first Governor-General of Cape Feldman. You must be prepared to appoint a Commissioner for Elections for elections to be held in spring for the local House of Commons. Her Majesty's Government believe the Cape is entitled to six Commons members and two Lords in the Imperial Parliament, but we do not believe they need be co-opted. Our intention is to dissolve Parliament this week for a general election to be held on 3 January 2017.

I trust you are pleased with the arrangements established by Her Majesty's Government for the declaration of dominion. I wish you a very happy Christmas, and trust the New Year will bring much prosperity to the Cape.

Article 1

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Nikolia in Paradise City shall take consular questions of Aquitaynian citizens until reestablishment of a permanent diplomatic mission of the Constitutional Monarchy of Aquitayne in Paradise City;

The flag of the Constitutional Monarchy of Aquitayne shall be flown alongside the Nikolian Flag; additionally, a sign clearly indicating temporary consular office shall be placed alongside embassy sign;

Article 6

No restitutions, financial or of any other nature shall be requested from the Constitutional Monarchy of Aquitayne for establishing temporary consular office within the Embassy of Kingdom of Nikolia;

Article 7

The temporary consular office shall dispatch reports of their work to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nikolia and Aquitayne every month.

It pains me considerably, but I believe that now is the right time to make this momentous decision. As a result of the provisions laid out in the Government-Hohenstein Agreement, my Husband, the honourable Ludwig Adam Herzog von Hohenstein has been acting Prince-Regent of the Nation, and will continue to hold the role until new royal elections are held on New Year's Day 2017. This comes at a critical juncture as the nation needs to find its path again, to seek out its destiny after a troubled series of events in the last few months leading to the end of a reign. There are many bridges to rebuild and relationships to mend, and though the process may not be quick nor straightforward, I believe that there is a general sentiment for a return to normalcy coupled with a restoration of trade and foreign relations to normal levels.

As his consort, I am expected to act as his closest advisor and assist him in performing state duties. With that in mind, and to prevent any conflicts of interest, I would hence announce my renunciation of any and all current titles I may possess, as well claims thereof of said titles for all my successors, legitimate or illegitimate, effective 1 November 2016, excepting that of Duchess of Hohenstein by marriage. I shall hence no longer be known as Adélaïde Alexandrie of Cassonne, but rather Adelheid Alexandra, Prinzessin zu Königsberg. It is with great urgency that we have come to contact the Astyrian Red Cross Emergancy Unit Assessment Board for an immediate evaluation of the situation with the recent avalanches that have effected the Björklund region of our nation. Currently, an estimated 25,000+ are trapped without power or other necessary services due to the closure and/or obstruction of routes to the area.

Local authorities have requested national assistance as they are overwhelmed and undermanned to handle the situation safely and efficiently. On orders by the Prime Minister, the Landhelgisgæslan(Coast Guard) is currently airlifting supplies and transporting the removal of injured individuals to medical facilities with the appropriate equipment, but other commitments and bad weather have left this lifeline strained. Multiple officers have advised to seek outside help.

A current death toll has been confirmed at 159 people and that is expected to rise as the the night turns into day and full scale operations begin. We pray and hope for a quick decision from the International Community & Astyrian Red Cross,

Dear Nathaniel,

Thank you for your letter of 4 March.

Yesterday, I can confirm that discussion in cabinet with my ministerial colleagues took place on the subject on the continued viability of New London as a dual capital of both the Faent House government, representing Dungeyland, and Her Majesty's Government, representing the Dangish Empire as a whole. This discussion took place largely on your initiative raising the matter, and for that I am truly grateful.

The concerns of Faent House with the dual nature of New London are understandable and regrettable. As the capital of the Empire, the Avantmare district occupies a large proportion of the time of the press corps of Dungeyland, to the detriment of dominion Dangish politics. The Faent House administration suffers from the insufficient attention it receives in Dungeyland, which given our federal system does not work for Dangish subjects. It is for this reason that Her Majesty's Government have agreed a number of plans, in principle, which might resolve the situation.

As a former Home Secretary and a former Dominions Secretary, I am sure you understand the considerable challenge in altering the Empire's geographical architecture. Whilst Her Majesty's Government do reserve the right to unilaterally alter the dimensions and nature of the dominions, it is agreed by convention that such change ought to have the democratic support of the dominions in question themselves. For that reason, legislation to bring government plans into effect must pass through the House of Commons of the Dangish Empire and the Faentish Commons.

Her Majesty's Government have considered three proposals. The first would be to move the seat of the Imperial government from Avantmare to a newly constructed imperial capital territory, the location of which would be up for competitive tender amongst the dominions. The new imperial capital territory would not be part of any dominion, and would not be subject to any dominion law. The second would be to ask the Faent House administration to cede the Avantmare district to form a new imperial capital territory as outlined above. The third would be to provide Imperial funds for the Faent House administration to move to an alternative Dangish location, with Faent itself being the preferred candidate - this could be combined with the creation of an imperial capital territory.

I have consulted with the parliamentary Liberal party to discuss their views. To summarise the diversity of opinion, I would state that Liberals from Dungeyland prefer the second option whilst Liberals from the other dominions prefer the third option. I have also asked my coalition colleagues to speak with the parliamentary Socialist party and the parliamentary Social Democratic party to determine their views, and found similar conclusions reached. Eve and I also discussed the financial aspects of the arrangement, and Eve believes the Treasury can spare the finance necessary to construct a new Faent House capital.

Given this, I would be grateful if you could determine whether a majority exists within the Faentish Commons and the Faentish Senate to approve the third option. The choice of Faent itself is merely a suggestion from Her Majesty's Government, and any other location would be acceptable provided it is an existing city and not a wholly new build. I have instructed the Dominions Secretary to be the point of liaison between your government and Her Majesty's.

I trust the measures taken by Her Majesty's Government in view of your proposal are acceptable. I hope you are well, and are enjoying your position in the Faent House government rather more than you enjoyed the Home Department!

Dear hifaxians and foreigners living in our country,

As you may know, our city-state has been going through an embargo imposed by the Blackhelm Confederacy, the -from my point of view- coward and hurried measure was the reaction of the country to the referendum celebrated some weeks ago to present our formal and definitive distance from the East Astyrian Treaty Alliance, although the measure was took by the confederate government to cause an atmosphere of mistrust in the hifaxian population, the embargo had the opposite effect. The hifaxian population is now realizing and facing the real actions of militar alliances in countries of the region.

During this Official Communiqué I want to focus in two important points of the future of the country, as Prince of Hifax and as one of the head of states one of my main work is to give serenity and confidence in the country's politics during hard times like the one that we are facing now. During the last week I had the chance to meet what is concerning so much the people about our next future.

First of all, I want to say that our economical activity is not in risk of a catastrophic crisis as some media had already said. During the years the Principality of British Hifax had constructed a strong and big enough economy to face an embargo of this importance, however the government is taking certain measures to protect the national trasury and foreigner investments. Tourism and banking are continue being the main economical activity of the city-state and I'm sure they won't decline during the approximated duration of the measure. You may alredy know the statics of our flag carrier airline and our international airport where passengers trafic had aumented during last two months.

The second point were I want to focus is the increase of diplomatic relations with others countries of the region such as the Kingdom of Nikolia and the Cadenzan Duchy, this morning we received a formal letter from Branislav Jovanovski, Chancellor of Nikolia, showing his concern and offering the help of his country to go though the embargo. With the Duchy of Cadenza we had been already boarding conversations between heads of state to finally reach a treaty that could benefit both nations. It is planned for next months that the leaders of both countries could visit the city-state of Princetown.

A new future is not conceived if the people don't have union.

To the Most Honourable Cristián Pascual Rodríguez 20 November 2017 Ambassador of The People's Republic of Caranad to the Kingdom of Nikolia Dear Sir, I am writing you in order to inform you of apprehension of three persons holding the passport of the People's Republic of Caranad. In the night between 18th of November and 19th November, the three individuals, named Javier Renato Busto (42), Antonio José Nieves (25) and Sancho Manu Gonzales (33) were apprehended while operating an unregistered vessel entering the Nikolian territorial waters. Upon further inspection of the vessel by the Nikolian Coast Guard, 500 kilograms of cocaine, 200 kilograms of marijuana and 10 million counterfeit Nikolian Dukats were found on board the vessel. The persons, together with the vessel were brought to the Aleksandrovo Port Police station, where they are held in detention, while against them are pressed charges. I am writing you on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Fyngaria on occasion of international cooperation in a criminal case. On 25th of March 2018, two individuals, Réjkárd Wijaya (34) and Cesar Meester (42) committed murder of a couple in Kíjmafőrsz, Fyngaria, looted their apartment and took away roughly 7,000,000 FYT in cash. The suspects fled the crime scene but were filmed by a surveillance camera outside the building where they committed the crime. Later during the investigation, the suspects were identified from the video from the surveillance camera and the Fyngarian Police has issued warrant for their arrest. It is believed that they fled the country and are located in Hindia Belanda, by Réjkárd Wijaya's relatives in the city of Surapati. Réjkárd Hasan Wijaya born 12th of August 1984 in Kíjmafőrsz, Republic of Fyngaria. Father Hindia Belandan national, mother Fyngarian. Possesses passports of both Hindia Belanda and Fyngaria. Has younger sister that is living in Noordenstaat. Often visited his family in Hindia Belanda, but spent most of his time in Fyngaria where he worked as a janitor in an international company. It is believed he met with Cesar during his visit to his sister in Heuveldam, Noordenstaat 5 years ago. The two then started a chain of drug smuggling and it is believed that the victims the suspects killed owed them money. Réjkárd is 183cm tall, sport fit, typically has a goatee and a short hair. He was last seen in Niklasfoort in Noordenstaat together with his partner in crime. The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Cesar Rudolph Meester born 4th of January 1976 in Heuveldam, Noordenstaat. Born and raised in Heuveldam, later went to high school in Bruningen, Noordenstaat where he worked as a car mechanic. Met with Réjkárd 5 years ago in Heuveldam where he returned from Bruningen to open his own car service. All of his relatives live in Noordenstaat and the suspect has no connections with Hindia Belanda or Fyngaria. He was arrested for illegal possession of a weapon in 2014. Cesar is 179cm tall, normal fit and cuts his hair to bald. The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Official statement of the Lorecian Community pertaining to the violent and sudden military action of the Greater Belkan Reich against the Republic of Arstotska
18th May 2018 Bruningen, Noordenstaat

To the governments of the Greater Belkan Reich and the Republic of Arstotska and to all governments of Astyria,

We, the people of Lorecia, unified in democratic community formed whilst taking inspiration from the cultural, religious and humanist inheritance of Lorecia, from which have developed the universal values of the inviolable and inalienable rights of the human person, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law condemn and are appalled by gruesome, unlawful, uncivilised attack against a sovereign country, directly breaking international laws and customary rules of war.

We further condemn the way the government of the Greater Belkan Reich decided to resolve problems that have arisen with the Republic of Arstotska whereas instead of using peaceful, civilised and diplomatic ways of resolving issues and using military actions as the last possible resort, the government of the Greater Belkan Reich went directly for military action.

We further condemn and are appalled by amount of brutal force used in the attack and the targets, many of which were not legitimate military targets, thus breaking international laws such as water treatment plants and power supply lines, directly depriving Arstotskan citizens of basic life necessities and endangering them with possible outbreaks of starvation, water deprivation and disease.

We demand the government of the Greater Belkan Reich to immediately halt all further military attacks against the Republic of Arstotska and its citizens and to seek other peaceful ways to resolve issues that arisen. Should the government of the Greater Belkan Reich choose diplomacy over guns, the Lorecian Community shall offer itself to mediate between the combated sides and to help to the best of its capacity to resolve all issues.

We further demand the government of the Greater Belkan Reich to allow for undisturbed and safe evacuation of Arstotskan citizens from the zone of combat and distribution and transport of humanitarian aid to the Arstotskan citizens, as per the international law.

In order to preserve safety of Lorecian citizens, the Lorecian Community's agency for air traffic control - LORCONTROL shall instruct all airliners to immediately halt flights in airspaces of the Greater Belkan Reich and the Republic of Arstotska and further 100 kilometers from its borders.
The Lorecian Community shall deploy additional forces along the Thomai-Arstotskan border and will enforce a no-flying zone spanning from Thomaion to the half of the Arstotskan territory.
The Lorecian Community shall instruct all companies to immediately halt operations to and from the Greater Belkan Reich and will instruct its members and fellow friendly nations to immediately halt all trade between them and the Greater Belkan Reich until the military operations stop.

The Lorecian Community will remain in hope that the government of the Greater Belkan Reich will act rationally and with reason and will bring peace to the Lorecian continent and whole of Astyria.
