Rannkradle, Lubezyk - Capital of the Rannoire Federation - Day of the Rooks

July 26, 1871

The parade has started. The day of the commemoration of the fall of the Blackguard Union. Peace had arrived at last. Though the Blackguard Union fell decades ago, it is good to celebrate it. Men and women, marching down the street with instruments of brass, wood, and so much more. The crowd, cheering on and on with spirits high, and behind them, troops marching, flanked by horsemen.

A day to celebrate, a day to commemorate the downfall of Rannoria's greatest enemy. A day to celebrate, a day to have fun. A day to celebrate, and sometimes a day to mourn for the losses of loved ones in the war. Though the downfall happened almost a century ago, so those times were no more. It was a festive day, and Grand Odjen Kar sat at his private stand.

"My liege, Grand Kar."
"Yes, Vernon?"
"The parade is going well, yes?"
"Very well indeed. I thought you knew."
Odjen took a sip of the tea Vernon Askwell provided.
"Ah, delicious. Thank you for the tea, Vernon."
"My pleasure. My pleasure indeed..."
Odjen took another sip, and another until he drained the cup.
"My, my. Quite delicious tea."
"It's home-grown, sire."
"Well, I'd like to say-"
His voice was cut off by himself, grabbing his chest. Odjen turned towards Vernon shakily.
"Odjen?"
"Vern... on... did... you... do... this...?" He was on his knees, face turning purple, and he seemed to be choking. His voice was shaky, and it has seemed to catch the two guards attention. They ran over to him.
"Grand Kar?" The guard said to him, but he couldn't speak.
The Grand pointed to Odjen, he stared. The guards heads turned towards Askwell.
Askwell pulled out a gun, and swiftly, shot the two guards.
"I'm sorry, Odjen, my old friend. But your reign is over."
And with a heave, Askwell heaved Odjen up, and threw him out of his stand. Plummeting to his death.

King Oswyn was inspecting the new map with his advisers. He was impressed by the new topographical innovations cartographers achieved in the new era. He also carefully overlooked the nations that made up the rest of the continent. He had always been worried about Warglorian Empire, yet he knew there was nothing to fear as long as he was here to lead the Kingdom to greatness.

In that moment Nikolai entered the room he was playing soldier with his evening uniform and his wooden rifle and horse. The advisers looked down on the floor as the young Nikolai went through their feet, most laughed in joy at seeing the rather young man playing.

Oswyn was interrupted from his thoughts with his son at his feet hugging his coat.

"Ohhh Niko. Come here son." Oswyn took hold of his son and carried him up to see the map.

"Papa." Said the young boy as he hugged his father.

Oswyn simply smiled, he then turned Nikolai's attention to the map. "See my son, this are our lands. And these lands are the ones that will soon be ours. All of this you will have to protect when I'm no longer here." Oswyn said as he first pointed at the lands of Arengin and then to lands of the south pacific as well as Thatcherton.

Nikolai was barely paying attention, he simply grabbed the small figurines that represented a navy fleet.

"B-boat papa." Said Nikolai as he showed the figurine to Oswyn.

"Yes son, 'boat', I see your classes are going well. Gentlemen if you excuse me, I have spend too much time with politics today, I shall go and spend some time with my son." The advisers simply nodded and kept looking at the map as Oswyn carried his son to the courtyard.

Aclusia City, (The Island is The Aclusian Mainland)

Emperor Marcus Ragnus was in his office talking to advisors about the military's status. The 3 Aclusian Royal Fleets patrol the Sea of Khazak, Europea and The Sea of Martyrs. The territory of Zaroma is also protected by the 3rd and 6th Aclusian Army. Everything seemed to be in order except for something worrying, the Warglorian empire.

The Aclusian Republic had always had a series of conflicts with Wargloria, but now Wargloria had built their Empire and Military up so much it could threaten Aclusian interest, best to leave them alone the Chancellor Thought. Marcus then stood up and called for his Closest Advisor, John Alder.

"My friend I have orders that you need to deliver to the Lord of the Admiralty board" Marcus told John as he gave him the orders.

John quickly catched a carriage outside the Chancellors Residents and headed to the Harbor. The orders were to double the patrols of the Aclusian fleets .

Großenstedt, Kedrich

The flags were high, the ranks tightly closed, as a Warglorian Military Ceremonial Column was marching through the streets in a very elegant way. Banners were waving in the air, citizens of the Reich were cheering. Today, the citizens, for once, were not celebrating a military conquest, but the death of a leader. The leader of Wargloria's long time enemy, Rannoria, Odjen Kar, was reported to have been assassinated during a celebration of the fall of the Blackguard Union. The Warglorian leader, Klaus Adler, was reported to be in the celebration.

Klaus Adler was at the balcony of his palace, looking over the disciplined soldiers of his proud and mighty Reich. Suddenly, his head general, Henreich Krafte, showed up behind his back. "Mein Fuhrer" Krafte said. "Ah! Krafte! Is it not magnificent, our Reich, and how our enemies crumble before us!" Adler replied, waving to the crowd. "I just want to ask" Krafte said, nervously "Don't you think that this will provoke a war with Rannoria? They do have a bigger military than us." "Don't worry mein Freund, I've told Hindenburg to mobilise our army, if they invade, we will be ready!" Adler replied in a happy tone.

Carriebean Imperial Palace
1871.
Emperor Alex IV grumbled as he emerged from the hallway and slid down the wooden and shinning steps that supported him, landing on the ground with a loud thud. shaking his head, he grabbed the newspaper and sat down on the morning crapper. turning to the front page, he saw the front line news. several states had left the empire, mostly rich and wealthy plantation owners in protest over high taxes, their governments would meet in two days to discuss a possible peace treaty over the issue, but he didn't expect it to succeed. looking further, he read that the Rannorian leader had been killed and overthrown in a coup.
"what a damn shame, Gary, send some flowers over!"
"yes sir!"
as the man rushed off to conduct that, the King heard a knock on the door, getting it, he was surprised to see the President,Barten Davidson standing there. letting the short, puffy man with the cane and cigar into the palace, the two men sat down at the table.
"now, listen e're matie, I has a plan to span our mil'tary forces, ifins ye gets me drift?"
"I see what you are talking about, I shall contact the ryles spire armament and weapons, and put in an Imperial Order for 300,000 more colt repeating rifles, 150 6 pounder napoleon cannons, and 200 7 pound multiple rocket launchers."
"I see, shall you be attending the parade today?"
Alex IV looked at the president with a surprised face.
"I was not told of any military parade, is it a fleet review?"
Barten smacked the king on the head and chuckled.
"right on the noggin, both acksh'ley, with genrail Hojo and ad'miiral Awshitkaga are a g'wan be present, ye might want to show up!"
with that, the short fat man left, leaving the emperor to pack for the visit to the fleet review.

Zee Plmnt, Rankradle
"...and so I shall lead the nation into greater prosperity!"
The crowed cheered and yelled, celebrating. This, was the new election, around a month after Grand Odjen Kar's assassination. It seems that it did not hit Rannoria too hard, but still, it shook the people. The man who just spoke was candidate Darton Silke. His aims were to enter Rannoria into an age of diplomacy, trade, and prosperity. His two biggest rivals, who were also part of the top four contenders were Worvan Dumois, who's aims were to turn Rannoria militaristic, and Ivol Natu, who wanted Rannoria to become a theocracy. Finally, the last contender, Sios Adance, wanted Rannoria to enter an age of progress, advancement, and science.

The five provinces, Fengate, Lubezyk, Eglise Saint Eve, North Maxtopia and South Maxtopia, had their preferred candidates. Lubezyk preferred Ivol, Fengate for Sios, ESE for Darton, and North and South Maxtopia for Worvan. But the results would finally come in on this day.

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, even though this is not a carnival, this is the 1871 elections, for the position of the Grand!" The man announced. His name was Flatoon Alhert, leader of the liberty council. "So, let's get started, shall we? Alright, at first, we have Darton Silke. With 29% of the nations population voting for him!" Cheers erupted from the crowd, but were quickly silenced. "Worvan Dumois, with 25%! Ivol, with 12%! And Sios, with 34%! So, our new grand is Sios Adance, contender on behalf of the Progression Party!"

Cheers erupted from the crowd. Other noises were also heard too, some boos, some jeers, but a vote was a vote, and that was democracy.
"Now, let's let Grand Sios Adance onto the stage!"

Sios arrived, and begun his speech. "Thank you everybody, for helping me get to this position..."

Postby The Twelve Isles » Fri Aug 19, 2016 5:31 am

Empress Lena Cartwine III sat with her daughter, Princess Bella Cartwine. She read the paper, and hunched over it slightly in frustration. Its seemed like she had a hard time ahead. The Twelve Isles had been coming out of their historic cocoon, trying to reach out to the different nations of the continent, and were building their navy significantly, even begging work on a 4th fleet. A young man stepped up, wearing a crisp jacket and slacks, and poured Lena a third cup of coffee.

"Thank you Timon," she said, and her servant nodded politely. Lena flipped the paper closed, and let out a huff.

"Whats the matter mother?" asked Bella, oblivious to the stress of running a nation.

"Just politics dear," said Lena, taking a bite of her eggs.

"Oh," said Bella, making a face, "Politics are boring."

"Politics are frustrating is what they are."
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Lady Cartwine," said Horatio Billem with a bow to her. He stood in front of a map, and flanking him were three other men, Admiral Roger Dodson, Field Marshal Jonathan Whitaker and General Alec Sturgess. They all had stacks of notes in front of them, and they were waiting patiently to tell her about what she already knew. When she sat at the head of a long table, the 4 military men in front of her began to speak in serious tones. They explained how there had been a coup in Rannoria, and that it had seemingly ruffled the feathers of the Warglorians. The Aclusians were conducting more naval patrols, and as far as could be seen, the Caribbean was heading into civil war.

The commanders tried to say more, but Lena spoke over them. She was looking at the Aclusian peninsula, and the large island that broke away from it. Their similar geography, and more peaceful look at dissolving conflict. It seemed they didn't want war, and neither did the Twelve Isles. "Commanders," said Lena with an authoritative punch to her voice, "you are looking at this situation as the begging of a war. We are looking for an ally, not a conflict."

"Yes ma'am, I understand this very well," said Horatio Billem, "but with the state of the world as it is right now, we should be looking very seriously at a possibility of going to war."

Timon came in as they spoke, and quietly poured them all a glass of wine. "Timon," said Lena, "what do you think. These gentlemen seem to believe our best course of action is to make a show of force, but I believe we should be looking for friends instead of war. Your thoughts."

"I believe," said Timon, his voice quiet and serious, "that to prepare for war one should look for friends." He then turned, and stood quietly by the door, waiting for anyone to need their glasses refilled.

Lena looked at her Generals Staff, and said, "That settles it. We will reach out to Aclus, they seem to be the most compatible with our interests."

"Yes ma'am," said the commanders, but before they had a chance to leave the room Lena stopped them.

"Considering the situation on the mainland though," she said, "send with our envoy an escort of two Ironclads. We have one of the largest fleets around, and I believe we should try to flaunt that." Lena stood, and took a quick glance at the map, before retiring to her office to write a letter.

TO ACLUS
FROM THE TWELVE ISLES

Dear Emperor Marcus Ragnus,

I, Empress Lena Cartwine III wish to extend my hand on behalf of the Empire Of The Twelve Isles to your nation, Aclus. In this time of strife on the mainland, we wish to extend an offer to you and your people. In exchange for forming a defensive alliance with us, we would be willing to supply your people with the oil and coal that we have in such abundance on our home islands. If you wish to make a deal, we shall set a time and a place to meet.

Gato Wa, Dawn, Dawn, Sacheyenya

Crunochus was an old man, and his young son Homoronuin had not quite mastered the art that made a monarch a monarch. In short, as the carriage rode by, people cheering and clapping and waving their flags, Crunochus leaned upon his scepter of iron and waved rgidly, while the ten year old Prince remained seated, and scooted closer to his father. Queen Erina smiled fondly on the youngster, and found the happy medium of being seated while waving to the crowd. It was a fairly normal occupancy for the House Dyanu to be adored in such a way, but today was a most special occasion. Today, they were celebrating the acquisition of Hizilo, their 'first' colony.
To clarify, Hizilo, which was Sacheyenyani for 'Martyr', and was comprised of three countries, which were Slu'ektirbnodt in the North (a mouthful for the most practiced of patriots), Kaidrik to the southwest of that, and Segartiyya to the east of that. Hizilo bordered the Martyrs Sea and the Sea of Khazak, and was acually Sacheyenya's second colony. The first, Farendla, was a ways away, most Sacheyenyani had forgotten about it, and if any trade were to be attempted with it, they would almost certainly and immediately be cheated in some form. Farendla, small as it was, despised te mainland, and distanced itself as far as possible from such an affair. How it was acquired was a dark secret in its own, that only Crunochus knew, and would only be revealed more than a century after his death.
It was the sight of SB Gadiu, the flagship of the 2nd Pioneer Fleet, that broke Homoronuin out of his daze. The massive, magnificent ship and the sailors aboard it, waving their flags and christening their ship with smashed bottles of whiskey greeted the royals, and for the first time, at Gato Wa, Homoronuin rose from his seat and waved to the sailors. Crunochus laughed as he inspected the ships. 5 ironclads, and 31 merchant ships, all destined for Hizilo. Normally, the security would be higher, and if Erina had told him of the recent assassination and strife, the security would have been higher yet. But Sacheyenya was not in a state of war, and Crunochus was an old man with failing health. He didn't need so much stress.

Slu'ektirbnodt, Hizilo

Chieftain Maxim sat at his throne, smiling pleasedly. In the time they had been there, fields were plowed, hunting parties were formed, and small militias had been organized to accompany the soldiers already there from the mainland. Things had been running smoothly, and far ahead of schedule. He almost didn't notice that the advisors were trying to worry him, with all their talk of assassinations and bad omens.
"Yes, yes, but bad omens aside," Maxim clasped his hands together. "When shall my merchant fleet arrive?"
"Within the week, m'lord."
"Excellent." he chirped. "Then, if you are so afraid of war, let us negate it in the best way possible. Let us make friends. We're bordering two seas, and in the best place to do it."

Oswyn was sitting in his favorite armchair in the royal room reading the recent newspaper. His wife, Maria was sitting besides him at the couch, reading a book. One of the thousands she had. Their daughters, Rosarina, and Anna were practicing their piano and Nikolai was playing with his toy soldiers. The ambient was one of tranquility and family.

Oswyn read about the newly elected leader of Rannoria, Sios Adance. "Huh, such a young men with a great potential. I'll made sure to send a felicitation and perhaps an offer." Spoke Oswyn in a whispering voice. He kept on reading, the Twelve Isles had began to reach out to other nations, ending their rather isolationism from the mainland.

After a while of reading Oswyn finally settled the paper on the small table. He simply stayed immobile for a couple of minutes, enjoying the music of the piano and the sound of the fire of the chimney, he scuffed his beard in a downward motion thinking, just thinking. He took a long breath, Maria noticed it, she put down the book and simply took hold of his husbands hand.

"You're a good man Oswyn." She said. Oswyn smiled at her.

"Well gentlemen, what are the state of our fleets?" Asked Oswyn to his various advisers while looking at the map from the days before. The advisers where both of the National Council and the Military as well and they all began mumbling in group as Oswyn simply stood with his chest up and a face of seriousness.

"Well your majesty, our 1st, 5th and 7th fleets are docked right on the Okyabrak docks by the Khazack sea, They are ready to mobilize in case the Warglorians try anything. The 2nd is patrolling the sea of the Lost Souls, we have reports of pirates in the area but nothing the fleet cant handle. The 4th is docked in the docks of Khartoum along with the 3rd that is finishing up repairs. The 8th and 6th are safe in the Martyrs sea." Said Marshall Bruliov with a confident smile.

Oswyn examined the map for a while, then he broke the silence. "How's the construction of the 9th and the 10th?"

"Well, they are going well..." Said Bruliov as the other advisers mumbled his same words.

"Very well, oh, Albert. I want to send a felicitation to teh new leader of Rannoria as well as an alliance offer. I think its time to ally our nation with the nation my wife is from am I right. What a bad son in law am I." Said Oswyn laughing, the advisers did the same as Albert went on to write the telegram.

Minister Yelton then addressed Oswyn, "Sire, the Sacheyenyan's have sent us an invitation of free trade. Here is the telegram" Yelton handed the message to Oswyn who quickly read it.

"Tell them they're welcome to our ports, and that our merchant ships will go to theirs." He said as he handled the message back to Yelton.

"Indeed your majesty, I'll go to Albert in this instance." Answered Yelton as he bow down and left the room.

"Marshall Bruliov." Said Oswyn examining the map on the small border between Arengin and the Warglorian Empire.

"Yes sire." Answered Bruliov.

"We must conduct a training exercise for our troops, we haven't in a while and I don't want them to slack." Said Oswyn as he moved the army figurine close to the gap of the border.

"And... W-where do you wish for this training to be executed sire?" Asked Bruliov.

"Near the Warglorian border. Make sure they know that our forces are ready for anything." Answered Oswyn with an even more serious tone.

"Y-yes sire." Answered Bruliov.

Ah, most royal and sincere King Oswyn of Arengin.

First of all, thank you for the congratulation, I do appreciate it.
But let's get down to business. I have heard your wife is Rannorian, so I hope that'll help things out a bit. But, frankly, we accept your alliance in the military and economy. We have been shaken, but I have promised progress and advancement. Factories shall become the new greatest thing that has ever been made in Rannoria, and an entire new abundance of them are on the way on being built. But, we accept. I hope we mutually prosper, and hopefully this shall bring friendship between our nations. Thank you.

Sincerely, Grand Sios Adance of Rannoria

Heden, Fengate
"Major Felswald!"
Sios approached a man, forty two years of age with a bushy moustache and and brown hair.
"Yes, Sios."
"How are the advancements going?"
"Good, yes, the weapons and artillery numbers are increasing, and factories are popping up everywhere. Sure, this city has never been as ugly before, but progress is sacrifice."
"Exactly! I don't see why people don't agree. Anyways, just checking in. How are the other places doing?"

"Well, you know about Rannkradle. Bolten is adapting very well, the twelve horses are the exact opposite. Farakir, Dolamoth, and the center regions are fine, and the entire Maxtopian area..." Sios raised an eyebrow. "...they oddly like it. They always disagree with us, especially the north. But now... it's strange. I guess they enjoy the fall of tourism. Anyhow, all's well."
"Thank you, Felswald. See you... next time."
"To you too."
And Sios headed off.

The Great Council Chamber, Sheepland, Sheepish
The great oak doors flew open as a broad man strode through, all the eyes of the council watched him walk, his snarling eyes focused on the podium in front of him. He stepped up to the podium and addressed the council.
"Great Council, I have gathered you here today to discuss a matter of utmost importance." His braided beard followed the movements of his jaw. His booming voice bounced around the atmospheric chamber, stooped in murals of great conquests and warrior legends of old. "All around us are, as you are probably aware, are nations. Nations that become more of a threat to our great nation. To end these threats we must look south for allies and enemies alike. This nation was built on war, and it shall continue that way." Nods and murmurs of approval rose about the room.
"Warlord Sheep Ryder, surely there is no need for more bloodsh-"
The pistol of Sheep Ryder silenced the man. "We are not a nation of f*cking cowards!"
A roar went through the council, a roar of rejoice, a roar of war.

To The Great Nation of Wargloria,
I write to you, because both of our nations share a passion for war, I believe an alliance would suit our two great nations very well. Together we can rule this land. Surrounding us both are nations that threaten our power more and more as the days go by. Together we can eliminate this threat and establish a great and strong rule.
From
Warlord Sheep Ryder.
Bleugh.

To Empress Lena Cartwine III

Yes, I would like to join with you in a new alliance between our great nations. I would like us to meet in the Capital of Aclus, the City of Aclusia. Here we may discuss the terms of the alliance and how it shall benefit both of us. And as you probably know, a war is inevitable in the continent, and if the war reached us, we may assist eachother through it.

Knowing of a inevitable war in the continent, Emperor Marcus Ragnus has begun the military's training and rearmament program. Aclusian soldiers and recruits have begun full scale training and reconditioning. The factories all over the empire are pumping out thousands of weapons from Rifles to Artillery. A great war is soon to happen, and Aclus must be ready.

Arenginian countryside of the Stratovar province

Thousands of Arenginian soldiers in their brown uniforms were gathered in formation. They marched around a makeshift city of houses made from hay and weak wood. It was a singeing exercise. Artillery pieces began firing on the fake city while the cavalry surrounded the perimeter. Then the infantry began its charge.

Everything could be seen from the Warglorian side as well as the Carriebean region. The sound of thunder and fog of war was present as the Arengin soldiers simply demolished everything in the fake city. At the coast another exercise was in motion, the Arenginian fleet began firing on another fake port city, which also destroyed a fake flotilla made from wood logs and some steel.

General Malavod was the one in charge of the exercise, he examined the horizon with his telescope. Both exercises were going marvelous, he even noticed how the border guard of the Warglorians was uneasy.

"The Warglorians will know our army is not to be reckon with. Hopefully this shows them what our firepower is capable of." Said Malavod as he enjoyed his tee while examining the map of the region. The sounds of explosions were getting louder and louder.

"I hope the Carriebeans don't mind our little exercise." He said as he sipped from the tea cup.
"I do as I please"

Carriebean Imperial Palace
Alex IV stood tall as thousands of soldiers marched through the streets of the city, security was of little concern, in fact, Alex IV was out in the open, protected only by a raised canopy and the feared Nagainata Warrior Monk bodyguards he had surrounding him. as the soldiers began to march to drums and music, the sound of their boots marching up and down the square, Alex IV stood up and saluted the turning heads of the pirate descendant infantry of the carriebeanian army. the nation had just ended a bloody civil war between a confederacy and the union, mainly over disagreements to slavery and a minor part, of the newly made constitution. everything would be peachy if the people writing the Constitution had let in several wealthy plantation owners to "oversee" the production of more copies of it, and to twist the words around in it. the new remade founding fathers of carriebean neglected to even inform the plantation owners of the change, and so this caused lots of anger in the south, building up to succession from the empire. hearing a knock on his shoulder, he turned and saw the fleet admiral salute him.
"ah, is the fleet ready?"
"Yes sir, all ships are awaiting orders for the good will trip around the known world."
Alex IV clapped his hands in approval and laughed.
"excellent, the fleet shall leave at once, give the order for the ships to prepare to leave."
"aye sir."

Carriebean Turretship Lao
Admiral Yasanuga Kaiyoshi lit the match and held it up to his cigar, feeling the smoke and the light, he threw the match down on the wooden deck and stomped it out. taking a puff of the cigar, the smoke blew around, smoging for a second the chilly mountain air of the ocean. He Was to lead the Main fleet on a tour around the world. he was against the endeavour, as he felt it proper for the fleet to remain in a war preparendess state, and for it to be ready in case the conflict explodes to a world wide thing. but, he was not in charge of his pay, and his wife had another child, and so he needed this job. he was thankful he was very skilled in it. feeling a tap on his shoulder, he turned around and saw a saluting aide.
"at ease son, what is it?"
"the fleet is ready to set sail."
"I see then, signal the main battleships to form up in a line, once that is done, have the other ships leave at their own disgression, and form up in some sort of orderly manner, that's all."
"Yes sir."
With that done, Kaiyoshi turned to puff on his cigar somemore, watching the sunlight.

Stratovar-Rhienbalt bordertown of Cache
Milita commander Henry Tithington sipped his hot coffee absentmindeldly, being greeted with a cascade of stalactites and causing a small yelp in pain. he then felt a roar of thunder, that was odd and off for such a sunny day as today. then he heard explosions, causing him to leap from his seat and spill the crushed liquid bean caffine all over him, suffering hot burns. after cleaning himself up, he grabbed the telegraph and began to type out a message to carriebean city.

ENEMY SHELLS -STOP-LANDING NEAR-STOP- MAY BE ENEMY ACTIONS- STOP- WILL PREPARE DEFENSES-STOP-SEND REINFORCEMENTS ASAP-STOP

as soon as the message was sent, Tithington's hands flew from the telegraph to his muzzle loaded rifle he had and a handful of musketballs, shoving those along with some poweder into his pockets of an old military jacket he had, rushing outside, he began to yell up and down the street "We're under attack, get your guns Cache 12th! to arms to arms my brothers and sisters! defend your homes and your nation from the enemy!" hoping in a horse drawn wagon with a small 6 pounder cannon towing in the back, he gave the reigns a snap and began to gallop towards the front lines, along with around 100 other armed militamen and women who rushed out with their rifles and muskets in no orderly fashion.

Empress Lena Cartwine III

Lena smiled when Timon handed her two telegrams, one from Aclus and one for Sheepish. He simply nodded, as was his style, and left to attend to his other dutys. Lena opened the letter, and made a note in her head to have the navy prepare an escort for her to Aclus. She placed the telegram on the table, and opened the second. It was an offer for trade. Lena frowned, and Bella looked at her with curiosity but continued eating her dinner.

Lena wanted the trade for her nation, but she worried about the actions of Sheepish. They had extended their hands in alliance to Wargloria, who were notoriously warlike. It wasnt that The Twelve Isles was enemy's with Wargloria, but they certainly weren't friends either. In the end she placed the letter down next to the one from Aclus, but chose not to act on it. Though Lena would have like an alliance, there was nothing that they could trade that the Isles didnt have themselves.

After dinner, Lena sat down at her desk to write a response to Emperor Marcus Ragnus.

DEAR EMPEROR MARCUS RAGNUS

A meeting in Aclusia sounds most pleasant. I am having m own ships readied as I write this, and I should be there within a week.

Empress Lena Cartwine III

When she was finished, she called to Timon. He stuck his head in the door, and quietly waited fro instructions.

"Timon," said Lena, "would you take this over and have it telegraphed to Aclus for me?"

Timon nodded, and took the letter with a gracious "Yes your highness," before walking down the hall to have it sent off.

Billy Younger
"Oy, you thinks you can get away with snatching my shoes whens I was sleeping?" Billy stormed up the street, coming down on the slightly younger boy in front of him, who was standing stupefied in the middle of the street, holding Billys shoes. He got up in the boys face, and continued his tirade. "You dont gets to just steal some fellows shoes, didnt your mum never teach you that? Im liable to cut off your ear to teach you a lesson, you filthy little picker. Ill cut you up and hide you in the whale meat, so's that your own family eats you for dinner, you little small fry pipe cleaner, stove fucking whore born ditch baby." He reached forward, and snagged the shoes from the boy in front of him. A small crowd was starting to form around them, mostly weaning sashes and hats of varying garish colors, signifying they were in gangs. As Billy noticed this, he took a better look at the boy he was yelling at, and noticed that he was wearing a bright green kerchief around his arm, the same color as at least half of the other people who had now congregated around them. The other half were wearing bright yellow, like Billy. The Bowlers, they called themselves.

When Billy took the shoes back from the kid, it seemed to spark a little fire in him, and he began to go off on the older boy with the choppy, cracking voice of a kid who had just reached puberty, and didn't realize that their voice made them sound like a stoned mouse. "You, you and so tough! you just take shoes from people smaller, dont you, you yellow pussy truant punk! Ill bite your lips off I will, and them mail them to your mother, you fucking slag jail bird! I take shits harder than you, you aint so tough are you, your just a smack mouthed shit stain on the mattress!"

Billy's arm shot out, and he slapped the boy across the face. The other Bowlers all erupted into laughter and jeers, and Billy smiled. "What you going to do about that?" He said as much to the kid as to the kids gang, and didnt expect anything until one of the people wearing green came up behind him and smashed him across the back with a chair. Billy stumbled, and heard the angry shouts of people from both gangs, and as he opened his eyes again saw that they had all run together, and were whaling on one another with any weapons they could get a hold of. Billy reached into his boot, and pulled out a straight razor, which he flicked open and swung at one of the people, slashing they face from the forehead to the jaw.

The fight went on for at least another half hour before the guard could break it up, and the next thing Billy knew he was in the local jail house, Tandem Yard. His trial had been scheduled for the next week, along with all the others involved in the fight who could be caught, regardless of which gang they were in.

(OOC: Just to make it clear, I plan to have Billy join the army, and become similar to Hemingway, an write war poetry and stories concerning the fighting. Also, for reference, here's some pictures of Billy and Lena.)

Maladov enjoyed his tea while still observing the exercise. He was most please with how smoothly things were going. He then noticed a mass of people coming from the Carriebean side. Led by a man on horseback the mass of people armed with rifles and muskets. He noticed how they were charging in no formation at all. Finally he realized that they were charging at the 3rd army that was now resting from the exercise. He quickly dropped his tea and got out of his tent.

"Send an immediate message to our men! An unidentified force is approaching them from Carriebean. Tell them to get in defensive position, now!" Said Maladov at one of the
messengers, who immediately began galloping down the hill to the resting Arenginian army.

Meanwhile the resting men were enjoying their rest from the exercise, playing ball and chatting. Loud screaming then got them out of their rest. They saw on the horizon towards Carriebean and saw how at least a hundred people armed with rifles were charging at them. At first they didn't believe this was a serious threat, all that ended when they began receiving fire from the charging people.

The Arenginian's began spreading out in confusion. They grabbed their rifles from their piles and began running back to their commanders who were gathering the troops. Despite the enemy poor accuracy they had managed to hit a few soldiers.

Eventually the messenger got hold of the officers and told them what was happening an d what to do.

Quickly the Arenginian soldiers began forming a defensive line of thousands of soldiers. The soldiers and officers then began yelling, "STOP, THIS IS ARENGINIAN TERRITORY! TURN BACK OR YOU WILL BE SHOT"

The charging people didn't stop, eventually they were nearing the Arenginian rifles. In the moment the enemy was no more than a hundred feet from the Arenginian the officers yelled. "FIRE!"

Bullets began flying through the charging force, and the man in the horse fell on the ground with his horse being severely injured.

It is of most enjoyment that our nations have opened to free trade, I find this quite beneficial for both nations. However we must also adress a matter of most importance, my nation offers you the hand of military alliance between you, Arengin and Rannoria. We must unite as one to face the future obstacles god sets in our paths. And to combat the possibility of Warglorian and Sheepishian aggression. We offer you the hands of friendship both in peace an war.

We hope you take this offer.

Sincerely King Oswyn II

Großenstedt, Kedrich
Adler was looking at his map, and he was disappointed. He had imagined a massive empire, bigger than any other on the continent, instead he was in the middle of empires that are bigger than his empire, such as Arengin, and Rannoria, especially those 2. The fact that both of them would make an alliance was highly anticipated, but now the Twelve Isles? Adler knew, if he needed to be able to destroy these empires who dare abuse Wargloria, he will need allies, luckily, Wargloria had just the nations in mind......

To: Empire of Sheepish

We notice of your isolation because of your small peninsula, we will be obliged to help you in times of trouble, whether it be you expanding, or being expanded on. The treaty will include:
-Trade Agreement
-Military Access between both our nations

Do not trust what the Arengin say, we have done nothing to become aggressed on by these hostile countries. We have done no expansion lately, and will now happen unless attacked upon
We humbly await your response

To: The United Tribes of Sacheyenya
Dear Proud Leaders of the UTS
We, the Warglorian Empire, would happily accept trade, and, we would like to ask you something else as well.
Wargloria is in trouble, as hostile nations ally themselves with each other to attempt to destroy us, we need allies, and an mighty economic and trading empire such as yourself comes in mind. If you accept, we will allow:
-No tax burden on trading material between us
-Defensive Pact

Stratovar-Rhienbalt border
the messy formational force scattered in several directions as the bullets took several men and women's lives, a pile of around 38 to 50 bodies was formed in the middle as the two smaller groups returned fire, cheering when, at most three enemy soldiers fell, but grimaced when enemy salvos of bullets soared at them, striking the remainders down, within less than ten minutes, the ill coordinated attack had failed. the cannon crew hastily set up on a nearby hill and let loose a shot, the round shell impacting a small building, sending shrapnel towards the attackers and defenders. the Militia force began to disperse further, forming the Jackson Pollock formation of a picket line, with several men in a zig zag formation, letting off some shots as they began to fall back. Tithington got up from the ground and pointed his sword urging the men forward into one last charge, the thirty five or so remaining soldiers yelling in support with him, rushing as fast as their tired bodies could carry them, some firing off supporting rounds to assist their comrades, then Tithington didn't' feel so good, looking down as his chest, he put his hand towards it and saw blood gushing out. smiling and falling over, he closed his eyes and began an eternal sleep. with their commander's death, the few 13 or 15 odd survivors began to fall back in disorder, with some hacking down their own allies in the confusion.

3 miles from the Stratovar-Rhienbalt border
Flank General 3rd Class Travis Reaven threw back his hair as the water poured over it, with that, he grabbed a rag from a slave and poured it on his face, throwing the rag back, he dried his face off and shook wildly for a moment. he saw a horseman rush up to him, saluting, the panicked man began to speak.
"enemy forces have caught a bunch of our boys out in the open, granted they attacked first, but we've got to help them!"
"we will do no such thing, I have orders to march to the boarder in preparations for war, if he asks for my help, he will get it, but he has to ask first, you are just telling me of the situation, you did not ask if he needed help, and so I will not help him. I shall continue on, good day!" with that, the annoyed aide rushed off in the other direction as the troop column continued the slow march to the boarder.
with a kick of the spurs, the messenger rushed back as Travis began to march back to the rear of the twenty men abreast 5,000 man column of reinforcements the carriebeanians were sending to the boarder.

Carriebean Imperial Palace

Emperor Alex IV stared at the large fish tank in his brother's room, the only reason that bumbling idiot hadn't been executed or lynched was because as the king's brother, he had access to many of the Imperial Resources and could "persuade" would be vigilantes from killing him off with a handful of Sais in the pockets, that was also how the lawyers refused to sue him, as his vast resources could prevent a lawsuit from occurring anytime soon. it was one of those frustrating things of being a ruler. an aide rushed into the room.
" sir,I have good news and bad news!"
Scratching his chin, the emperor said to the new arrival "Let me hear the good news first."
"Yes sir. apparently, a message has been sent by Wargloria. it's quite perplexing, and I'll just let you read it yourself."

dropping the letter, Alex V merely nodded. "alright then, the bad news?"
" we have gotten word that a militia unit has attacked an Arengin army. most of them have been killed."
"what?! This may mean war, deploy 12,000 soldiers and 48 cannons to the boarder, we must prevent an enemy assault on our soil,is that understood?"
"Yes sir!"
as the aide rushed off, he began to write a reply to the warglorian empire.

The Arengin Union has offered us no alliance so far, and a skirmish between both of our forces has soured relations, I shall accept only Trade and the Defensive Pact for now, I would prefer to meet in person to hammer out the finer details, I shall send an ambassador to your nation. expect his arrival in a couple of days.

Quickly the 1st cavalry had noticed what had occurred, they were a few miles away from what was happening and quickly began getting on their horses. Captain Ulinev then saddled up and with his saber in hand spoke to his force.

"Our comrades have been attacked without provocation, they have been able to repel the attack however we must help captured those who are attempting to escape. We ride!" He yelled as he began galloping towards the fleeing Carriebeans. Quickly they were able to surround the few wounded men who where only a few dozen feet from entering Carriebean.

"Lay down your arms, you have invaded Arenginian land and shed Arenginian blood on its sovereign soil, you will be arrested and face justice according to military law." Said Ulinev in a commanding voice. The Carriebeans looked back to find Arenginian infantry on their back and the cavalry blocking their escape.

One of the militia men then left go of his rifle, the other followed suit. The Arenginian soldiers then began taking custody of the men and attending to their wounds.

Ulinev then spoke, "Soldiers, form a defensive line along our side of the border. Do not let anyone else pass."

The soldiers that heard him began following the order while spreading the word to the others.

Eventually thousands of Arenginian soldiers were holding their ground on the Arenginian side of the border.

-A small Annual Tribute to your country
-Elite Military Support
Do not trust what the Arengin say, we have done nothing to become aggressed on by these hostile countries. We have done no expansion lately, and will now happen unless attacked upon
We humbly await your response, oh mighty Empress of the Caribbean...

dropping the letter, Alex V merely nodded.
To:The Imperial Warglorian Empire leadership
From: the Carriebeanian Emperor Alex IV
The Arengin Union has offered us no alliance so far, and a skirmish between both of our forces has soured relations, I shall accept only Trade and the Defensive Pact for now, I would prefer to meet in person to hammer out the finer details, I shall send an ambassador to your nation. expect his arrival in a couple of days.

To: Caribbean Empire
Thankyou, we have no problem with this current proposition.
If you would like, we could send a Volunteer Corp to support your forces.
We shall be ready to recieve your ambassador.

Stratovar-Rhienbalt border
Flank General 3rd Class Travis Reaven raised the telescope to his right eye and looked through it. the carriebeanian forces were thrown back across the boarder, with only one or two of the militia escaping, kicking his horse, he began to yell to passing townsfolk.
"grab your weapons, you are being conscripted into the Imperial Army of Carriebean, don't bother with uniforms, what you're wearing is fine now, follow behind us in some sort of formation, I'll need you to hold this position, understood?"
several passing civilans revealed small revolvers or ancient matchlocks from hundreds of years ago, all smiling and cheering on the advancing units, marching with them along the sides of the formation, the 5,000 troops had been reinforced by roughly eighty odd armed peasants rallying to the cry of war.
"set up the artillery on the right flank, both of the 6 pounders, yes, hurry! we don't have much time, when the guns have found their mark, let loose with a cannon ball or two, understood?"
"Yes sir!"
with that, Travis had rallied more troops to the carriebeanain cause.

Ulinev examined the horizon with his telescope as he galloped across the plain. He noticed Carriebean forces gathering close to the border as if readying to fight.

"They are planning to attack." Said Ulinev as he got out a piece of white cloth and took hold of a wooden stick. His co-officer seemed confused.

"Sir should we attack first? We have numerical superiority." Asked the officer as Ulinev tied the white cloth to the stick.

"I'm not planning to start a war today Boris. You're in command while I'm gone." Answered Ulinev, Boris simply nodded.

"Good luck sir." He said as Ulinev began riding towards the Carriebean side of the borde waving the makeshift white flag.

Eventually he crossed the border and quickly reached the Carriebean forces, who with no hesitation aimed their weapons at him.

"I come in peace, I would like to speak with the commanding officer. You can take my weapons if you may." Said Ulinev with rather tranquility.

The Carriebeans surrounded him and his horse, he got down and with no delay handed over his Colt 60 to one of the soldiers aiming his rifle at him. He allowed his saber to be taken as well. His horse however was acting increasingly aggressive at the Carriebeans pulling him. Ulinev simply spoke "Hey Fury, stay."

The horse then calmed down. "Treat him humanly please." Said Ulinev at the Carriebeans and was then pushed forward by them.

"Maybe the social skills mother taught me will work for something for once." Said Unilev with his own pistol being aimed at his back.

To The Great Nation of Wargloria,
Encryption: Low
We accept this proposal as it would benefit both of our nations. I suggest we should talk in person very soon to begin planning the next stages for our countries.

Imperial Palace, Bearstin
Emperor Derrick Black was reading a letter that a courier had just delivered. The boy was frantic and was running quickly, so much so that the emergency guards dropped down from the ceiling panels they hid in. He was furious with the boy for sending the Throne Room into a lock down but ultimately let the boy live because he had an urgent letter from the governor of Ronastre.

Ronastre was one of the colonies Bearstin had on the West side of the continent and it was sort of rebellious. Everything was easily put down but this poor excuse of a governor kept whining for more troops. If this governor hadn't been a friend of his mother, he would have him executed. The governor was old and frantic, he didn't know how to control a territory. The only thing he knew how to do was exploit the resources for the good of the Empire.

The letter was another plea for more soldiers, which he declined. He threw the letter on the ground and a servant came and picked it up. The servant was of the lower class, a young man looking to make a living. Since Bearstin had a capitalist economy, this man could easily make a living in the palace.

Derrick got back to what he was doing before the boy had stormed the palace. He was looking over the latest news of the continent, trying to figure out more of the secret politics.

Empress Lena Cartwine III
Timon came into Lena's room, holding a telegraph in his hand. Lena looked up at him from her desk, and choked back vomit. She hated ships, and now she had decided to meet another world leader who lived across an ocean. Luckily, they would be there soon, and she would be able to get off the metal tub she was on. "A telegraph for you, my lady," said Timon.

"Thanks. . . " Lena paused, and waited for her nausea to go down again before continuing. "Thank you Timon." She reached out and took the letter.

Timon paused in the doorway, and watched as Lena did everything in her power to not throw up all over her desk. "Would you like me to get you a bucket madam?" He said.

"I think that would be best," said Lena. Timon nodded, and left her room. Lena held the paper out and began to read.

To:Empress Lena Cartwine III
From: King Alexander Oswyn II of Arengin

It is of most enjoyment that our nations have opened to free trade, I find this quite beneficial for both nations. However we must also address a matter of most importance, my nation offers you the hand of military alliance between you, Arengin and Rannoria. We must unite as one to face the future obstacles god sets in our paths. And to combat the possibility of Warglorian and Sheepishian aggression. We offer you the hands of friendship both in peace an war.

We hope you take this offer.

Sincerely King Oswyn II

Lena reached out and took one of her pens, and paper from in her desk, and began to write.

To: King Alexander Oswyn II of Arengin
From: Empress Lena Cartwine III

It is an honor, that your people would consider my nation a suitable ally. Our Royal Army is fine fighting force, but our real power lies in the Royal Navy. It is not the largest in the world, but it is one of the best trained and equipped. Should a war begin, you have my promise of support in an way we can. As Im sure you know, our nation is a major exporter of oil and coal. Should you require it, we can sell you these supply's at a lower price, and even blockade you enemy's. As well as this, within the year we will have completed the 4th Fleet, which is armed with nothing but the best our time has to offer.

Sincerely, Empress Lena Cartwine III

Billy Younger
"Hey, let me out this damn cage, I aint eaten all day, and I know my rights!" The guard a the table in front of Billy looked at him, and leered an ugly, haphazard smile.

"And why should Listen to the pleading of a worthless street rat, like yourself?"

"Cause you dont when I gets out of here Im gonna find your house, and burn it. Just like that, up in smoke."

"You watch your tongue, street rat. Dont want nothing to happen to it." Said the guard, standing up to show off his full size. He was a monster, standing at at least 6 foot 6 inches, towering over Billys meager 5 foot 11.

"Ill say what I want, fat assed, butch cock. You wont do shit with it, because your nothing."

The guard moved forward, and jammed his hand through the door into Billys cell, pulling the young man in closer to his face. "I would be careful, If you dont shut your damn mouth I could always slip a little something to some of your friends here inside. For a couple extra bread, these boys would do anything I ask."

"Yeah? You think that scares me? You cant even kill a man yourself, you fat fucking twit. You just smatter on bout your tough nature, but then when you get the chance, you wont even get your own hands dirty."

The guard stared into Billys face a while longer, and Billy stared back, his eyes scrunched up small and beady, his mouth in a tight little knot, just waiting for the Guard t try something. "You know," said the guard, "your right. I dont want to get my hands dirty with a filthy street rat like you." He shoved Billy back, and made his way back to the table he had been sitting at, and began to shuffle a deck of cards.

Billy stared at him, angry and frustrated, before saying, "I still want my food, butch cock." The guard just snorted.
