RTVK presents

The indent of RTVK was played, indicating the beginning of the RTVK's international broadcast of the World Hit Festival. The camera panned across the venue, finally ending by showing the logo of the 26th World Hit Festival (shown above) being displayed on the screen. Afterwards, the orchestra promptly began playing the song that most recently won.

The show starts, of course, with the winner of the previous one; the reason why we're in Kalosia tonight. The win was the island nation's first, and Paola received a hero's welcome upon her return.

The host conductor is Eldin Sakranova. He's already at the conductor's podium, and begins the orchestra's rendition of the winning song.
As the song begins, Paola walks out from backstage and through the orchestra. She wore the same outfit from her WHF25 performance. She walks to the center of the stage, with her mic in hand. Later after the first or second verse she gets to the mic stand and attaches her mic to it, staying there for the rest of the performance.
Tthe background was black but as the song progressed white lace patterns grew.

Regular text sung by Paola, (brackets) sung by the backing singers, bolded text sung together by all.

In the next part, the backing singers provided vocal "oh"s harmonically to the tune of the song.

As the chorus came, the lace patterns faded away while the phrase "Love me" gradually appeared on the black background screen in the languages of all the participating countries, in various fonts, all in white text. The Kalosian "Amiral me" was of course the biggest.

The song ended, the crowd cheered, and then Paola took her camera off the mic stand and walked to the right of the stage, so that the front screen was right behind her. She gestures to the conductor and says:

Thank you to Mr. Eldin Sakranova for being such a great conductor! He will be here with us for the rest of the night, making sure that the music we hear tonight are of the best quality, even if it means working with other conductors and letting them take the spot!

The crowd cheers, and they'll do so at each paragraph break at the next part.

My name is Paola Amadin and I won the last contest in Gorgona. It was such a wonderful show and to that I'd like to thank those in the Sarian who helped make it as good as it was!
However, I am only hear to sing and entertain you guys, and to reprise my song. Your host for tonight is not me. Rather, let's welcome to the stage someone you may know as she was the very first Kalosian entrant back in the 7th World Hit Festival. She's also hosted WorldVision before and now she's trying the WHF. Let's welcome to the stage, the wonderful... Allica Ilham!

Allica Ilham enters the stage and walks towards Paola as the crowd cheers. A bit of music plays, and stops as Allica reaches her.

A: Thank you Paola, and thank you everyone for having me here tonight. Yes, I will be the one to accompany you through our musical journey tonight.
P: Now, if you'll excuse me I'll join you all and sit back and enjoy the show. *she leaves the stage*
A: See you later! Now, tonight we'll hear beautiful songs from 9 countries being performed, and afterwards you will be able to vote on your favourites. And then, we will reveal who the winner is, but more on that later. For now, just do what Paola did and sit back and enjoy the show! So, are you ready? Let the 26th World Hit Festival begin!

F(Y) - Freedom (Color-Coded Lyrics)

F(Y) (Jian: 에프와이) is a four-member Jian girl group formed in 2009. The group consists of Victoria, Amber, Luna, and Krystal. Since their debut, F(Y) has released four full-length albums, two extended plays, and one repackaged album. Moreover, the group has been recognized for their experimental style and eclectic, electropop-based sound. "Freedom" is one of their electronic dance songs released on July 22, 2016.

Krystal, wearing a white tuxedo shirt on top of a white tank top with flower-patterned shorts, stands next to Victoria, slightly left from the center of the stage. Amber, wearing a silver tuxedo shirt over a black t-shirt and wearing tight, low-rise, black pants with black boots, stands next to Krystal, slightly right from the center of the stage. Last but not least, Luna, wearing a black, spaghetti tank top, and tight, white-washed, blue jeans and black boots, stands on the very right side of the stage. Krystal comes forward to the center of the stage and sings, while the rest of the members move slightly backwards.

The performance starts with Charlie standing in the centre of the stage on a long platform which stretches from the front to the back of the stage. The orchestra has been replaced with two large DJ stands, each of them has been occupied by a DJ. The LED screens are completely black and a single spotlight is placed upon his head, save for the intermittent flicker which is in time with the rhythm of the song. Charlie is wearing black jeans, white t-shirt, white trainers and a grey bomber jacket. His face isn't yet illuminated as he moves the microphone up to his face to sing the first verse of the song.

Out in the big city

To see you smiling

As the tempo increases, the platform he is standing on starts to move, revealing itself as a conveyor belt. The LED lights of the stage light up to reveal a Tokyo-esque street, with many neon signs written in Japanese writing adorning the sides of the street, as Charlie walks, the neon lights move down the street and into the distance (as if seeing the signs from his perspective). The normal lights on the stage and in the stadium flash to the beat of the song.

As the chorus kicks in, the moving platform picks up speed, causing Charlie to break into a brisk jog. He sings into the microphone while looking and pointing into the camera. The backing singers at the side of the stage assist in the singing of the chorus, while simultaneously clicking their fingers and moving their hips in sync. The camera angles switches to the DJs perspective, looking into the crowd while twisting some knobs. The camera focuses back on Charlie who is smiling as he sings the last part of the chorus.

The platform slows to allow Charlie to slow to a walking speed, we sings with more intensity and adds a couple of spins, fist clenches and intricate step sequences on the conveyor belt to keep up with the speed of the moving platform. The camera shows a close-up of Charlie's face as he sings with intensity as the second verse comes to an end

Charlie walks to the back of the stage to get off the moving platform. He walks to the side where the DJ set and the backing singers are, walks to the front of the stage towards the crowd and does some more pointing, but this time it's into certain members of the crowd. The stage lights flash into the audience, illuminating the audience while the performers on stage all do actions in time with the song (whether it's pointing into the crowd for the main singer, shaking hips for the singers or twisting knobs and nodding heads for the DJs). The LED screen flickers as the song approaches the chorus.

He sings the second time, but adds more intense movements and opens his body language up to the audience as the lights begin to flicker with more intensity to suit the higher intensity of the second chorus, a wind machine is turned on and Charlie's hair and t-shirt begin to blow in the wind. As the chorus comes to an end, the backing dancers take their microphones off their stands and walks forward to the front of the stage where Charlie is.

In the instrumental, Charlie and the backing singers/dancers perform a polished dance routine. The camera angle shoots to the back of the stadium. Where light is being emitted from the stage, while many fans wave their flags in time with the music.

The song slows down and the Tokyo-esque street is replaced with a completely black screen, except for galaxies and twinkling stars dotted around the screen. The bracelets given out by the Mercedinian delegation light up throughout the audience to simulate each audience member as a star, which combine to form a galaxy within the stadium, which is perfectly captured by the camera at the back of the stadium. The camera moves up on stage and circles Charlie and the other performers as they perform a slower dance routine.

The performers move back behind their microphones and Charlie walks back to the conveyor belt as he sings the final part of the song. The camera follows Charlie as he moves back to the conveyor belt. The camera moves quickly from the back of the stadium to the front, before giving a wide shot of the stage as the song builds to a crescendo

LED screen explodes into colour as Charlie does a final walk on the moving platform, moderate strobing is coupled with a moving LED screen as Charlie gives his all in the final chorus of the song. The crowd waves their flags in the foreground as the performers round out their performance with a final burst of energy.

Charlie gets down on one knee, and sings to the ground as he performs the final part of his song, he picks his head up and sings into the camera which is closing in on him. A single spotlight is placed on his head, mirroring the start of the song. As he sings the final line of the song, he lets out a wide smile to indicate his relief at finishing the song.

He rises up from his knee, laughs and smiles as he greets the audience. Thank You Monterra. I love you! He jumps off the platform and waves at the audience as he walks offstage. The stage is then prepared for the entrant from Anollasia.

“I should still be grieving. I don't know what makes me go on, but for some reason I'm still whole enough to sing a song. I guess that's strength, if anything.” - Zoran Saldo

The world had spun at a rate of a million miles a minute, with the goings-on of each entry poring through the Monterra ConcertHall. Zoran Saldo, barely keeping it together, clutched a close friend's hand as the Izmeduan delegation tried to keep a cheery atmosphere to deflect any possible attention from the singer. It was for good reason, as Zoran was trying to swallow the aftermath of a family member's death at the month prior to the World Hit Festival's start. He had already been chosen by the RTI as the new Izmeduan entrant prior to that tragedy, but the exsanguination of energy brought on by that family member's death almost caused Zoran to pull out of the contest entirely. Were it not for the stronger resonance of 'Penitence,' the very song he wrote whose words have gained a greater significance. From that, and the determination of the small RTI team dedicated to his World Hit Festival entry, he drew every last bit of strength and hope in order to even make it to Monterra as a whole human being.

As a 20 year old born in the small county of Dženje, most of his early life was entangled within the latter half of the infamous Izmeduan Revolution, but unlike many of his younger counterparts, Zoran left the revolution unscathed and able to pursue music without fear of death or safety. The later post-revolution years was what saw Zoran break into massive mainstream success, with a critically acclaimed album released when he was 18 that was heralded as far more emotionally complex than the usual fare of regular Izmeduan pop. Titled Until it Lasts, it was an album filled with an eclectic mix of torch ballads as well as ambient electro songs that were unified under one theme, regret, isolation, and loss of friendships. The album, tapping into pressures of young adulthood, was a resounding success in the album charts despite producing no #1 singles.

Zoran became a name attached to music history through that resounding success, with the album selling enough to secure a Diamond certification (a level that many thought that only those who have had decades in the music industry could achieve). The unexpected torrent of success left Zoran too shocked to make any movements through the music industry for the next few years. Some had suggested to write a song for the international song contests that Izmedu participated in, some encouraged Zoran to go an extended hiatus, and etc. Regardless of the suggestions, Zoran kept his music productivity at a stable level as he forcefully disappeared from the limelight.

Zoran's brush with the World Hit Festival would not come until a year and a half after the stratospheric success of his debut album. The seeds of the eventual entry, 'Penitence,' were sown as Zoran was faced with an old friend that had appeared from the shadows of his closely guarded personal life. That old friend was dealing with the death of a family member, who the friend did not disclose, dying right in front of their eyes. That friend was with that particular person until their dying breath, the last moment of life as Zoran could visibly remember his friend almost shaking to the point exhaustion explaining that one single memory.

That intimate moment shook Zoran to his core and re-connected him back to the humanity he felt he lost during the limelight. Penitence was the one song that rose out of the ordeal, and as a happy accident, he had seen the submissions period for the upcoming World Hit Festival in Monterra. With nothing to lose, he sent the song without much regard to its outcome, and was selected as the comeback entry to the contest. However, much of the narrative behind Izmedu's comeback was shattered as Zoran's mother had suddenly passed a month prior to the contest.

The causes of the sudden event were left unknown as any rehearsals and work on the entry was halted for a week. Though Zoran's persistence and sheer force of will, he did not let RTI's project fall apart by insisting that the country continue to participate. Whether or not this was a wise decision for Zoran remains to be seen, but despite the empty world of grief waiting for him, performing was the one salve he yearned for above all else. He stepped onto the stage, taking a deep breath...

The stage was in absolute darkness as Zoran was situated at its center, standing in the central platform as he waited for the cue in his earpiece to allow him to begin singing. Behind him was the orchestra, which would provide the entirety of the melody as RTI elected to play the song live instead of using a backing track. Zoran would be wearing this outfit ensemble. A dim spotlight began to shine on him as Zoran heard the cue to start singing...

Zoran would begin the song with the first few songs as a lonely-sounding piano would provide the backdrop to the song shortly after. He enunciated each line slowly, pausing to take a step forward . The spotlight on him gradually became stronger as he walked forward, with the camera making a slow revolution around him as the rest of the stage remained dark during the verse. He reached out to the camera at certain parts, with the view right in front of him during the third line.

At the fourth line, the camera turned sideways as a holographic projection of a ghostly human figure appeared. When the song reached the end of the verse, the camera cut to a sideways shot of Zoran's free hand reaching out to that projection, with it suddenly 'fading' as Zoran made 'contact' with the transient figure. In the lead-up to the chorus, the camera turned around to focus on Zoran's forlorn expression at what just occurred.

The camera stood itself in front of Zoran, slowly zooming out to a wider angle as he reached out for it. He sang the first chorus with a quiet intensity, with the entirety of the LED (both the floor and the backwall) suddenly displaying an 'uncovering' effect, in which the darkness of the screens were uncovered displaying a blinding white background that unfurled itself slowly during the chorus. During such, the camera stopped moving as it caught a wide view of the Monterra ConcertHall's stage, before catching a close-up view of Zoran holding his head back, eyes closed as he sang 'as a last salve.' A haunting vocal effect reverberated throughout the ConcertHall from the background singers and Zoran together, a brief silence only disrupted by a lonely piano...

The blinding white from the screens began to slowly fade into an image of a realistic, detailed background of a derelict park in black and white. On the floor was the billowing, tall grass, with holographs providing the leaf blades moving about as the back screen wall contained the horizon and the trees. At this verse, the orchestra began to provide a greater backdrop as the camera focused on close-ups of Zoran at the first two lines of the verse. Him reaching out and walking forward slightly, almost following the motions of the holographic, billowing grass on stage.

At the latter half of the chorus, the camera faded to a slightly wider shot situated in front of Zoran, as holographic projections of 'ghosts' can be seen walking around the stage, gray-white outlines that walked hopelessly around Zoran as he sang the third line with an expression that almost looked like he was in tears. His voice remained steady and supple, despite the overbearing emotions. At the final line, the 'ghost' that he touched from earlier appeared in front of Zoran, with the camera fading to another sideways shot of him singing, almost pleading the line to that ghost.

The second refrain of the chorus saw the camera dissolving into a slightly wider shot, keeping Zoran's face front and center while showing more holographic 'ghosts' appeared around Zoran as he began passionately singing the refrain. The holograms on the ghosts were blurred as they circled around Zoran, with the screen slowly time lapsing into a cloudy day into a night of a new moon. The vocal delivery and movements of this chorus were far more passionate, as Zoran took a step back during the refrain's second half.

The camera focused on closer shots during the refrain's second half, as Zoran held out his arm to the camera as he sang each line directly to the audience at home. The orchestra took a far more bigger role for this refrain, with more strings added to the arrangement as Zoran passionately belting out 'as a last salve.' As soon as the last words of the chorus were uttered, the stage suddenly darkened as only a strong spotlight on Zoran appeared.

The camera was put slightly above Zoran's face as he looked up to its lens, looking almost like someone pleading to the heavens as he sang the brief bridge. By this point, the hologram effects completely disappeared, with Zoran alone in stage as he reached ever higher to the camera. His voice, cracked at some moments, the emotions coming through as Zoran closed his eyes by the end of the bridge.

At the brief instrumental interlude, the camera began to zoom out as the orchestra could be heard adding deeper instruments to the song and preparing the song for its final minute. Zoran could be seen visibly breathing as the stage began to light up, a gray screen gradually appearing as the song continued to 'build' to its climax point.

An empty chamber appeared onto the screens, with Zoran 'standing' on its ornate designed floor as a coffin could be seen on the background screens. This next-to-last refrain saw Zoran unleash his most passionate vocals, almost kneeling down to the floor at parts as the camera maintained a semi-wide view, with the one ghost that Zoran 'touched' earlier appearing once again, looking down at him as he sang the refrain with an emotional intensity that almost caused him to go down to the floor, holding his chest as he did so. The wide chamber on the screens only accentuated the isolation entrenching the song, the 'ghosts' on the stage slowly fading away one by one after each line of the refrain.

There was only one more refrain to go as Zoran repeated one half of the chorus, the one ghost that haunted him perpetually remaining on the stage with him as all semblances of stable emotion were lost. The orchestra had reached their instrumental peak as Zoran could only look forward, the camera remaining somewhat static as the song reached its near-end.

I reach for my penitence
As a last salve

He belted out these last two lines as best he could and retreated backwards, turning away from the 'ghost' as it began to slowly fade away. The camera focused on a close-up as the song led up to its denouement. At a soft 'bang,' each and every light flashed a blinding white as they all trained themselves of Zoran before quickly fading. The song then faded into a slow silence, the strings playing the last remnants of instrumentation. After a few seconds of lingering sounds, the song quieted to its end...

“Thank you so much Monterra... Thank you...” Zoran quickly walked backstage, where the Kalosian entrants were, ready to perform.

Kalosian pronunciation guide

Dario Jarsonë had previously represented Kalosia at the 23rd World Hit Festival as part of the duet Dario & Marianë with the song L'Užol. Astrid Kalidia, meanwhile, had represented Kalosia at the 29th WorldVision Song Contest with the song Just Admit the Truth. It was Astrid who first approached Dario to perform this duet together at the 20th Festival di Melodi Kalosiana. Later, they won FMK20 and won the right to represent their nation at the 26th World Hit Festival, on home turf.
Unlike in some previous WHF participations, the island nation was not tipped to win the contest. Many suspect the host nation does not want to win for a second time in a row, especially since they are also wishing to host the 50th WorldVision Song Contest. RTVK are already carefully balancing their finances, so it makes sense to avoid hosting another WHF so soon and potentially face bankruptcy.

note: despite the original tune being performed by synthetic voices, the IC performers are, of course, actual humans. If you can't imagine a human voice singing it, use covers such as this or this for reference.

The host conductor, Eldin Sakranova leads the 124-piece orchestra for this entry, despite only a handful of instruments actually being used, and the rest of the instrumentation being played from a backing track. The pianist plays the opening notes, and the song begins. Dario enters from the left of the stage and Astrid from the right, and for now they stay at the edges of the stage.

note: Dario sings lines in blue, Astrid sings lines in pink, and both sing together the lines in black.

Tune : Beyonce - "Scene Six: Scared of Lonely"

IGBK, the new broadcaster for Britonisea decided that Rigas Jengiz should represent Britonisea at the WHF 26. Since Kalosia is hosting, and they knew that the country would fit an orchestra in the arena, they thought that it would be a great tribute to them if they used the orchestra instead of abandoning it.

At the start of the song, a pianist who is named Becky was playing on a Grand Piano. There was no lights on the stage instead of a soft, dim light on Becky. She played the song on the piano; swaying with the song - playing it slowly, but making sure that the tensity was built up (through dynamics of the song).

Seconds in to the song, at the top of the orchestra steps stood Rigas. Rigas was wearing a long flow dress. No one saw her at first until the lighting came on, and there was a loud applause.

"I've felt this before, and I want to share it with you"

A million tries,
Knocked down, I've run out of time.
My destiny ahead of me,
Looks bleak, blurry, unkind.

She was standing up, and the light fully shone on her. As she was singing about how her destiny looks, she then keeled over, looking hurt and without motivation. She then closed her eye as her silver eyeliner glossed in the midst of the lighting beating her down.

No disappointment

The violins and the doublebass instruments came in at the end of this section of the song, creating a feel of the song coming together and feeling whole. The camera panned out of the arena, and the people swaying in a gospel manner before zooming in on the doublebass players - who were located behind a kneeling Rigas on the floor.

"No rules,
Improvise" - They tell me on repeat.
Though no-one feels this pain I have inside.
The knowledge, I know, has died and gone away.
My mind's cold, my minds weak
As my soul weeps

The camera was close up on her face. She was kneeling on the floor, and the surrounding stage behind her was dark. You couldn't see anything.

Then dancers came on the stage. They were all of different races, representing the Britonish populace. The women wore a short sleeved vest and long white trousers, while the men only wore the trousers - showing their top half. The men weren't overly "ripped" or muscly. They were just ordinary men. They embraced the females who came twirling on the stage right after them.

The song then sped up and blue, red, and white lights flashed on and off around the arena. Occasionally, the camera would show the instrumentalists at the back, really getting in to the music.

All of the instruments, instead of the woodwind instruments, had a role to play in this song. As Rigas walked to the front edge of the stage, she pointed at the people in the crowd. A usual technique the Britonish use is the "whirlwind," which nations like Todlichebujoku know us for. There was a whirlwind of leaves, and she she kept on singing, the whirlwind of the leaves went higher and faster.

I'm scared too,
I feel alone,
One step more, there I fall

The whirlwind of the leaves stopped when she raised her hands in the air. The camera quickly zoomed out on to the audience. The song then got louder and the stage lit up brightly.

The disappointment,

The camera then twirled around her, as she looked out in to the audience. Slowly, she was moving backwards near the orchestra, who still played with a high level of commitment and interest.

At the end of the song, she turned her head everytime the song would do a staccato note, before facing the front at the last note. Rigaz Jengiz bowed her head with the microphone in her hand, "Thank-you, everyone!" she said before slowly walking off the stage through the steps at the back.

The stage is black. A silver star lights the dark stage to symbolise a falling star.

The stage burst into bright lights, light a thousand camera clicking at once. The back screens are plastered with television screens of flashing cameras, red carpets, and high end brand store names like Tiffany and Co. and Louie Vuitton flashing.

She gets on with life as a Socialite,
She's a stunning Aquarius gal.
She likes strolls in the park on Sundays,
She likes shopping at Louie Vuitton during the week.
She likes to contemplate Me when I hold her hand.
But when she starts to daydream,
Her mind turns straight to Fame.

During the first chorus, Hero moves closer and closer to the end of the stage, engaging with the audience as if each female in the front five rows are the woman he is singing about.

Anima is an incredibly popular group from Rouen, the second largest city in Normandy and Picardy, being one of the most successful Normand groups in terms of record sales ever, being only beaten by WorldVision 50 entrant Sophie Belevre. Part of the Normand scene that has spawned a number of WorldVision entries that have all done well, this is the first time NNN has sent a similar style of song to WHF. Following losing the WHF title last year, NNN are hunting to win it for a fourth time, and so they have continued in the same vein they always take in WHF - sending successful Normand artists - but have markedly changed the style of the entries; some say NNN is deliberately experimenting, others that this has been in the pipelines for a while, and some more pessimistic sorts have said this is all they have left. Anima consists of Almado Sola, Renaud Loren and Marco Vontelli, a group of childhood friends who are incredibly close; indeed, Almado and Renaud are currently in a relationship (Marco has his own partner). They all grew up in the same area of Rouen - the Acotean - all went to the same school and even to the same university, all studying music. The song is written by Marco, who is the group's main songwriter, and is about a former relationship of his which obviously ended sourly, and with his partner having an affair. However, in the typical way Normand fans do, they have looked far too deeply into the song, saying it is a critique of advertising and capitalism which 'lies' to us and pretends that reality is different than it really is, but neither Marco nor the rest of the group have confirmed or denied this. Whatever the song is about it has quickly become a summer hit in Normandy and Picardy, and Normands hope that the song will do well. Will it? That's for the mulitverse to decide...

The stage is pitch black as the audience wait in anticipation for the song to begin, and as the music does begin a blue light covers the stage from one side and a green light from the other, looking much like the logo for WHF. The stage is shown to consist of the different members of the band all standing on random parts of the stage, all facing in different directions, with smoke lapping around their feet and seemingly random cabinets and tall lamps. They themselves don't play the music, but silhouettes in the background are shown doing it for them. The cameras pan all around the stage, showing it from above and from all different angles, before reaching down to the level of Almado as he beginsnto sing, and "walks" around the stage, showing all of the group, who keep staring forwards, but are now playing their instruments.

As the chorus begins it becomes apparent the band members where standing on spinning platforms put there during the preparations and hidden by the smoke, and they turn to face the cameras at the front of the stage, playing and singing through the chorus as the camera pans in front of them. They carry on the same manner, feeling almost detached from the stage, during the brief instrumental.

But for you nothing is wrong

For me...

The camera rests right in front of Almaro's face and he sings directly into the camera as the second verse progresses, the camera moving very slowly away. Nothing much else happens, NNN apparently preferring simplicity to gimmicks this time.

To soothe my mind and keep me from asking why

The cameras return to panning around the stage during the chorus, although towards the end the cameras move outwards and upwards. The band keep playing along.

At the beginning of the instrumental, the camera fades and shows the image of the background, which is a rather psychedlic, yet still fairly dark, kaleidoscope, with silhouettes of the band, contrasted with brightly coloured instruments, and the cameras almost seems to travel through it. As we return to the main musical phrase of the song, we also return to the stage, looking from above as Almaro lays down on his platform, and is turning around, the smoke creating a crown around the rotating disc. The other two band members join him as the song nears its conclusion and the lights slowly fade out.

WITH DANIEL RICHARDS!

Hello, and welcome to Kalosia, Monterra. Kalosia last hosted the competition in World Hit Festival 19, where they had a larger budget - however, they spent their budget this time on bidding for the WorldVision Song Contest up against nations like Polkopia, oh and us. It's going to be a saucy fight to see who will win their rights. Luckily for me, if Kalosia wins, I won't have to travel a long way! Anyway, the World Hit Festival 26 is here, and Britonisea still hasn't won the competition yet, and after we were going to leave the contest, IGBK decided to take the rights and now we are shoved on a channel no one watches. By the way, I was allowed to say that as I've asked the IGBK bosses. Right, we have Cheongji coming up! Let's see how this song goes.

01 - Cheongji

Hm, I was expecting something a bit more interesting. I don't know. This song seemed a bit ordinary while, I want something that is different and fun, and exciting. This song was very back and forth and a revisit of what we see usually. As usual, you can see that Cheongji is very meticulous when it comes to staging directions which makes the song visual. I wait to see the day when Cheongji raise the bar a bit more. I enjoyed their WorldVision Song, but I thought this was also missing something too. It's not as good as the old days. Anyway, up next is Mercedini. The rivals to Cheongji last edition - and they ended up cancelling each other out. Lol.

02 - Mercedini

This is not a bad song, I really like the instrumental. This is a song I would expect from Ekoz, and I always somewhat like the entries from Ekoz. Mercedini have something special, but they choose not to show it in the way we want them to. The lyrics and the staging are also good too, so overall this song is a great entry. It's not 100%, there is still some developing Mercedini needs to do as a music nation, and there is still a long road ahead of the nation, however, you could see this win today. This, however, would be very disappointing because Britonisea has been trying way more than them. Next up, Anollasia. You got to feel sorry for these lot. They try so hard for nothing in return. Let's see if that will change.

03- Anollasia

I couldn't see her face for most of the performance. I did like this song, it was slow rock - I guess. It sounds nice and rich, but post-modern at the same time. Not post-modern is a bit too harsh, but I like it. It does remind me of The Sarian or Electrum though, and they didn't do well with this type of song. So I don't know if I can see this song win, as such. I think some other help from nations - maybe a national selection for WHF - could help this nation progress a bit more. Anyway, the next song is from Izmedu.

04 - Izmedu

This song is a slow song, I quite like this song. Good use of the orchestra too. Let's talk about the staging. The staging is very good. As ever, Izmedu has spent time revising the staging, and that's a good thing. I love the song, and how it builds up throughout. An important song is one that can bring an audience on the edge of their seat - wondering what's going to happen next. This song pulls you in then pushes you out and tells you to wait outside in the rain, and then tells you to watch it eating soup int he warm before inviting you back in to help you finish the soup. Don't understand what I mean? I didn't understand what I mean, so...Let's continue. Right, up next is Kalosia - the host nation. Kalosia's entry shouldn't be that good because the budget is a bit tight (if you know what I mean). So, let's listen to the song before moving on to Britonisea!

05- Kalosia

What is this? At least they used the orchestra. This song is not to my taste, unfortunately, and I don't think that this song will win the competition, which means we will not have Kalosia WHF27. It was just a bit boring, and that guitarist is annoying, it really is. The staging wasn't really much either. Mediocre entry, however, it will get gobbled up by what we have seen previously. Right, up next is Britonisea. Britonisea has a song which takes a long time to explode. But, let's see how that works out.

06 - Britonisea

I love this song, I really do. The staging - though cheap - fits with the song, a lot. Britonisea chose a song that is orchestrated...by the orchestra, so in the arena, it must sound beautiful. The arena didn't really react very well to Britonisea, I wonder how the country would be if they host the WV50. I don't think that that'll be a great experience for Britonisea. Nevertheless, the song is great and so is the lyrics. The song does take long to build up, and therefore some people might get put off by that - but who damn cares? Who cares? Vote for us. West Phoenicia is next, though!

07 - West Phoenicia

Not really sure what I am supposed to say to this song, really. The lyrics are always good from West Phoenicia. Nice hearty lyrics from the country. And the staging is just the staging...I don't really know what to say about that too. The song is just good, but I do think West Phoenicia has a long way to go to win the contest. I might be hypocritical when it comes to the World Hit Festival, though! Next is our penultimate nation, which is Darkmania. An up and down nation.

08 - Darkmania

The song is great, and it's always nice to hear the orchestra playing...again. I like how Kalosia enforced lots of nations to use the orchestra, it's quite a nice thing. I love the song, Darkmania, but it's something we've heard time and time again. The lyrics are also interesting, like West Phoenicia, but I can see this song near the rear end of the competition. I am not sure where this'll place, but assuming that there's 9 entries, I would say the top 5...probably. Next, we have our 9th and final entry - this job is easier than WorldVision! It's song number 9, have a sip!

09 - Normandy & Picardy

Hmmm. Lot's of slow songs. This is an alright entry, I guess. Not sure about the tune but the lyrics and stuff are great news. Normandy and Picardy will probably win again and we end up going to Normandy and Picardy for the nth time. I am getting bored of that, though. Anyway, top 3, Normandy and Picardy...it seems.

Wow! That's it! I have my money on Mercedini or Izmedu. Who will win? You decide.

Carrying on, you may have noticed that this contest's theme is "Resonating Voices". But have you wondered who's voices are resonating? Who do these voices belong to?
Well, right now we live in dark times. Terror is trying to make its way through our earth, attempting to establish its reign. But throughout the world, people are taking into the streets, calling for change, calling for peace.

So, we've invited an Euskal singer to help us channel this theme. You may have heard of her before because she won the 10th World Hit Festival when it was held in Stephani, Chenkorya, and she even made an appearance back when the contest was in Kalosia for the first time.
She'll be singing, for the first time, the English version for her song —and let's hope I pronounce this correctly— "Qaqqaq Akisuarpoq". So, let's give it up for the world premier of the song Voices, to be performed by... Samira Kareli!

Allica then left the stage, leaving Samira to perform.

performed in English to the tune of Hear Them Calling - Greta Salome

Samira Kareli, who recently dropped her surname from her stage name after getting married, won the very first Euskal-Doinua song festival with the song Qaqqaq Akisuarpoq.

She has made quite a few appearances at the World Hit Festival before, namely she won the 9th World Hit Festival for Euskirribakondara as a duet with Jan Ardegorrián, performing the song "The Call". Most recently, she was spotted in the audience of the 19th World Hit Festival, also in Kalosia, and gave a live interview. With the song she is about to perform, she has been chosen to represent Euskirribakondara at the 51st WorldVision Song Contest with the original version of the song. Irrespective to that, RTVK commissioned Samira to perform an English version of her song; to be made the official song of the 26th WHF.

So there she was on the stage, in front of a mic stand, wearing this dress (but black-colored, with white petals). Eldin Sakranova once again lead the orchestra. As the song started, the background screens showed a starry night with a campfire on the bottom edge (like this pic but without the people), and Samira just stood there, singing.

Can you hear them calling?
Voices resonate tonight
Now our world is burning
Oh, our hearts burn bright

The campfire in the background screen dies, leaving just a beautiful night sky.

They resonate as we come to a change of pace
We will never ever be the same

Suddenly the screen became concrete grey, and a silhouette of a crowd of what appears to be protesters appeared at the bottom of the screens. Halfway through the first line of the next part, a second, lighter silhouette rises above the first, creating layers.

Singing for peace to come again

The screen showed rapidly-changing shots of recent events making the news, which only lasted on the screen for like 0.1 seconds each. It wasn't apparent, but the pictures all shared a common theme - progress.
In this next part, the background screens take the texture of a concrete wall. Then, after 2 lines, some sort of red gradient appears to be "projected" on the screens, as if light from a fire.

Facing all our problems
It is time for us to rise
Many have tried but they are fallen
Will we come alive?

The concrete wall texture becomes darker, but the red light remains the same, making it stand out. Basically just the previous scene but without daylight.

They resonate as we come to a change of pace
We will never ever be the same

Samira takes off her mic from the stand, and the background screens again shown silhouettes like in the previous chorus.

Again, the rapid string of images was shown, and Samira walked to the front of the stage. At the next part, Samira suddenly kneeled and the stage became dark with just one spotlight shining on her.

Samira slowly got up.

3 beats happened in this next line, the first one showed the crowd silhouette from earlier, then in the next 2 beats this silhouette got closer (kinda like in the video of the tune linked above).

It went back to showing the rapid string of images.

Samira raised her fist at the song's final beat, and the stage screens flashed white and then faded to black. The crowd roared, appreciating the beautiful and new rendition of her song.

Allica Ilham entered the stage again, walking to a certain spot where, at the same time, a podium was being set up, designed with a screen to allow the show's producers to communicate to the host (mostly revealing the votes for Allica to announce).

So, here comes the most exciting part of the show, the voting! So, this is how it's going to work. We're going to go through each nation to see how many votes they got, but only 1, 2, 3, and 4 points. That's votes going to that country. Then, we will go to each nation to see who they gave the 5 points to. That's votes coming from the country.
And keeping in mind the tie that happened the last time the festival was here, the procedure for tie-breaking will first look at how many countries voted for the songs, in which the entry receiving more votes wins. We can just stop there, as was the case when we gave Chameliya the trophy back in '19. If the tie persists, we look at which country have more sets of 5 points, and then 4 points, and so on. If the rare and unlikely event happens that both countries have the exact same points breakdown, the executive supervisor of the World Hit Festival will contact our voting partner, the people responsible for counting are votes, then we'll look at the raw voting data and award the trophy to the country who have received more televotes.
Yes, it may be a bit confusing, but you don't really need to think about this as we'll guide you through the process. So, are you ready? Let's begin by seeing how the world voted for the first performing nation of the night, Cheongji!

However, we don't stop here. There are still 45 points up for grabs, and with each nation having the possibility of getting a maximum of 40 of those points, anything can still happen and any country can still win, be it one already on the top, or one with quite a journey to make.
