Te Whanganui a Tara, 29 May - Two-way trade between VMK AG and foreign importers totalled around the tens of trillions mark, according to Erika Halstenfortein, a prominent Professor of the Economics from the University of Halsten of the Kingdom of Lindblum, one of nineteen countries in Yohannes.

Annual production contracted to governments already connected with VMK will also stay, meaning they will still receive VMK products. This limitation of total non-exportation and complete domestic activities are to be made into reality only after the date of the act. So no nation states already connected with VMK operations will be affected by this... admittedly very significant change. This will, however, stop further VMK export to foreign nation states.'

For 2013, Yohannes' VMK related trade activities logged a two-way trade deficit of 1.3 trillion Quertz russling to more than one hundred VMK supplier nation states, going up significantly from the previous year’s high of 1 trillion, with exports of composite materials and electronics relating to new aircraft manufacturing products and civilian shipbuilding again being the highest contributor of deficit. The last government to acquire a VMK export contract, with armaments to be delivered every year to that government, was Pherdistan. 'No new contracts of foreign nation states after Pherdistan will be filled', confirmed the Chancellor this morning in Royal Yohannes morning talkback radio.

The Bank of Yohannes has, meanwhile, balanced the deficit inflicted by VMK operations, continuing the trend seen since 1983 where VMK has continued to become a burden for the government, and the Bank of Yohannes, benefiting from investment towards VMK related operations in hundreds of foreign nation states overseas, acted as pillars of support for the overburdened, overworked arms manufacturing giant, balancing the trillions of loss of income caused by VMK multinational operations.

After the war in Red Star Union, as normal, the People's Unified Navy received the bulk of the Federal Funds to rebuild and resupply their massive forces. However, the People's Unified Air Force has proven time and time again their military and offensive capabilities. Despite their serious, if limited, military records, Most have often viewed the Air Force as simply the Aerial portion of the Reserve Guard, focusing on Coastal Defenses and occasionally supplying the Navy and Army units doing the real work.

However, after the recent Defense Budget Extensions, the Senate and Parliament have authorized a massive updating of the airforce. Including the infamous F/A-60 family of aircraft from Halcyon Arms and the ZM-7L ‘Dreadnought’ of VMK Defense and Steel Works.

Although these two aircraft make up the bulk of the orders, many additional craft, including modern Drones, Long Range Detection Aircraft, Command and Control Aircraft, as well as new Patrol Airships, are all included in the upgrade. To offset some of these costs, the Federal Military will be selling off portions of its aircraft reserve, mostly Su-47 Berkuts and Tupolev Tu-95s.

Te Whanganui a Tara, 16 March — The Kingdom of Saudi Ancapistan has announced it will be spending eight billion NationStates Dollars to buy two hundred main battle tanks, its latest international defence purchase amidst tense diplomatic relations with its neighbours.

The deal for the Pz.Kpf.W AY2-1B tanks was announced on Friday by the Saudi Ancapistan Ministry of Defence and Halstenmetall’s Head of Strategic Procurement Egon Göring at a military hardware conference in the capital city of the Kingdom of Alexandria.

According to the kingdom’s news agency, the commander of the Royal Saudi Ancapistan armoured division said the deal “will be instrumental in augmenting the capabilities and efficiency” of Saudi Ancapistan’s army.

Lindblum military technology group Halstenmetall will act as the primary contractor in the deal, although it was officially signed with the condition that other Saudi Ancapistan contractors will be included to act as domestic partners and suppliers.

“We are proud to have signed this contract that expands and kick-starts Halstenmetall’s international relationship with the Royal Government of Saudi Ancapistan”, said Emily Kirchweger, the nineteen countries Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade.

Summarising the key benefits of the agreement to the senior press gallery this morning, the Premier of Dumolanc said: “Over the next ten years, Dumolanc will gradually eliminate tariffs on more than three-fifth of Yohannesian exports here, meaning there will be potential savings of about 20 million NationStates Dollars each year.” The deal will also see the People’s Republic committing itself to liberalising government procurement regulations for Yohannesian arms manufacturing industry contractors.

“Following the precedent established by the agreement with Greater Nifon, investment rules can be decided between the two nations with a framework to promote mutual investment flows, where Yohannesian investors can benefit from the agreed protections for investment, including with the use of a Dumolanc-Yohannes investment court system to ensure essential safeguards and transparency requirements are realised... in relation to the rights of both nations’ governments to regulate with public policy motives and public interests in mind”, the Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade concluded.

Te Whanganui a Tara, 21 May — The nineteen countries has welcomed the possibility of a new deal to supply Dumolanc with fifty Pz.Kpf.W AY2-1E and seventy-five Pz.Kpf.W AY1-1A tanks, in addition to the one hundred military vehicles the Government of Dumolanc agreed to buy in January.

Thirty of those tanks have already been delivered, and a number of recent VMK corporate leaks to the press suggest that additional number is currently being discussed. However, all three Representatives for Foreign Trade of the People’s Republic have not confirmed this. During Dumolanc Premier Corgan J’s recent visit to the capital city of the Kingdom of Alexandria, Nineteen Countries Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade Emily Kirchweger told morning news and talk show Breakfast presenter Doll Henry, “We will see if there is a new deal... the signing of a new arms manufacturing contract between the nineteen countries and Dumolanc will be a good move.”

However, Bank of Yohannes analyst Artur Günzburg quoted ‘internal’ sources as saying that the Office of the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of High Technology and Industrial Security objected to the formation of the deal, having expressed its misgivings over the signing of an Alleswerken trade agreement just last week. Parliamentary Under-Secretary Paulus Spitzer said: “A scenario where Dumolanc will renege on this deal before the maturity of our previous agreement will result in a liability of at least one billion NationStates Dollars. A letter of guarantee acceptable to both parties has not been signed yet by the Commercial Bank of Yohannes... I feel that this deal [the signing] is a bit premature.”

Herald Press Gallery reporter Kate Bradtort reported that the initial letter of guarantee draft had been been rejected by the Dumolanc representative. She said that the ministry should try to avoid the possibility of underwriting any loan for any transactions concluded between VMK enterprises and the People’s Republic. When asked whether his office was blocking the deal, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary said on Radio Heartland, “It is natural that our office... we want to make sure that Dumolanc is able to pay for the order. In saying that, I am confident that a satisfactory agreement will be made with the People’s Republic’s Representatives for Foreign Trade.”

“I believe in the value of a well-detailed agreement over that of a hasty one. The Minister may want to speed the whole thing up, but my job is to tell her that, look, we can always wait for the money later. Let’s make sure that we got the details down properly first.” VMK war machines are one of the current focus of the People’s Republic Armed Forces’ efforts to expand its arsenal. The World Assembly, in accordance with Resolution #399 “Responsibility In Transferring Arms”, has reported for public information that Dumolanc is planning to spend almost two billion NationStates Dollars on VMK arms between 2015 and 2019.

The Head of the World Assembly Mission of the Nineteen Countries Elisa Wake explained the reason why the Thirty-sixth Christian Democratic Executive Council has approved this arms manufacturing deal before the World Assembly: “General Assembly Resolution # 399 defines ‘transfer’ as the movement of an armament from one member nation, in this case the nineteen countries, to another, in this case Dumolanc, and prohibits such movement only if there is reasonable evidence to suggest they will be used in contravention of existing World Assembly legislation on human rights.”

“Well... Dumolanc is not Ralkovia or the Scandinvans; that is, I do not see any slavery or anything in contravention of existing World Assembly resolutions on human rights happening there.”

Under the agreement, the family-owned company will invest and construct manufacturing base in the outskirts of Tomania’s capital city. The factory will be constructed under a two-stage programme, with each stage to produce thousands of non-restricted components destined for at least two hundred VLT HPVS-MBT active hydro-pneumatic suspension systems.

In order to meet the planned production capacity, Maschinenfabrik Halsten will invest six hundred million NationStates Dollars (NSD) in stages over the next four years.
