Originally marketing bioaugments and medical supplies, ABEC has transformed itself into a mega-conglomerate under the tutelage of business genius Dendlo Astyn, who has expanded the company's market to auger and "psyker" treatments, exoskeleton manufacturing, and even mining, all feeding ABEC’s desire for more bioaugmentation advances for the average customer. We are known by our customers as being easily accessible, with bioaugments cheap and widely available to the civilian market and highly proficient and effective in our government contract work as well.

Clinics and Services
ABEC desires to move into new markets outside of Bakran space, and to do this the company has offered interstellar governments the opportunity to expand their biotechnology sector a well as bolster the economy. To do this, a prospective government signs a contract with ABEC saying they will pay half of the initial construction and operating costs of new ABEC Clinics, with half of them staffed by Bakrans and the other half by indigenous workers who will learn not only about biotechnology but also be part of ABEC's family. This Clinic will be in the client government's space, offering treatments that are widely available to the average populace, which could raise the quality of life dramatically at the Clinic's location.The Clinics themselves can be a variety of sizes, from a small operation in a nation to an entire starbase, the choice is yours!

Reprogenesis
The ability to fix diseases works better if they never find their way into the genes to begin with. Rather than genetically engineer someone, which is both illegal in many nations and comparatively expensive, ABEC doctors and scientists eliminate genetic illnesses altogether in the offspring before ontogenesis. ABEC trained doctors modify the male sperm or female eggs before fertilization, depending on who is carrying the genetic illness in question, and eliminate the sperms or eggs that are carrying the traits through the use of pharmaceuticals and if necessary nanobots.

Apexification
This refers to "the rest" that we haven't covered already. The most dramatic bioaugmentation procedures that ABEC provides are artificial organs. The organ was originally developed for the Bakran Navy to assist in fighter combat, but since then has been applied to civilian racing markets, spacer occupations, and even gymnasts! ABEC's warranty is hardly needed, since this combat tested design lasts for a lifetime!
Artificial Heart Implant
Half the size of a normal heart, this implant allows a person to survive the destruction of their primary heart either through disease or failure (though not at full effectiveness), breathe in low-oxygen environments with their primary heart, and also functions to boost blood flow to other areas of the body. This is used in every Bakran soldier, and only through ABEC can you get your very own Artificial Heart!
Hemocta
Hemocta is a very small artificial organ that imbeds itself in the wearers primary heart and increases the hemoglobin content of the wearer's blood, allowing them to carry oxygen more efficiently. This allows them to have increased stamina, popular among athletes or those with heart problems.
Flash Cloning
Though cloning is not an ABEC innovation, flash cloning is one of their achievements. Originally pioneered during the latter part of the First Uli War, flash cloning takes sample DNA from the host and combines it with artificial stem cells. Once it's reached a quarter size, it is surgically placed in the hosts' body where it continues to grow at a rapid rate. It maintains it's usefulness for a few months while a full artificial organ is being grown before it starts failing. This is ideal for emergency medical situations or while one is waiting for their own ABEC organ to be grow. Since wholesale cloning is forbidden in Bakra, ABEC only provides cloning benefits for organs.
Procedures
Requiring extensive therapy as well as training, these procedures are long-term investments that one can make into their bodies. At first they may not show immediate results, but after weeks or even months of training and personal growth these medical miracles can improve your life where ordinary artificial organs can't! Optical Capillary Correction
"Correction" is a bit misleading, as it implies those with eyesight problems should consider an Optical Capillary Correction. Rather, even those with perfect or even extreme eyesight can receive this treatment to improve their vision and improve (to some species) one of the most important senses. By damaging the eye with a laser, steroids and nanobots work in sync to rebuild the optical nerves, recreating the entire visual spectrum into a sharper, more focused picture. Dendrite Superconductivity Enhancement
Both the Optical Capillary Correction and Dendrite Superconductivity Enhancement are used by the Bakran armed forces to give its pilots an edge in combat. These medical services require infrastructure and a certain amount of time for other nations to be a part of this infrastructure. We recommend that those who have had a sustained partnership with ABEC, through clinics, continuous orders, or other dealings, for at least three months, or having a positive relationship with Bakra, to apply to be part of these investments. There is only so much that ABEC can manage at any one time!
Regional Distributors
Regional distributors receive supplies directly from ABEC manufactories in the Romera galaxy to distribute to both the host nation's clinics and clinics in their stellar region. A large boost to anyone's planetary economy, some regional distributors are known to partner intimately with ABEC on future developments, becoming the first nations to receive new treatments and getting the cheapest transportation packages.
Research Centers
The next logical step for any partner nation with ABEC, research centers are the pride of the company. Complete with state of the art laboratories, codexes of scientific research that has taken years for scouts, emissaries, and scientists to assemble, and heavy security to make sure none of the equipment falls into the wrong hands. Those that apply and operate research centers must know that these are prime targets for interstellar crime organizations as well as terrorists, not to mention the volatility of some experiments. However the benefits greatly outweigh the potential consequences, with groundbreaking research by both Bakran and the host nation's scientists boons to the nations and ABEC. To apply, we strongly recommend that the host nation provide a location that is foreign, if not outright hostile to sentient carbon based lifeforms, particularly humans. Worlds with non-oxygen atmospheres, aggressive flora and/or fauna, and changing or dangerous terrain are preferred. This allows us at ABEC to test new developments in strange environments, ensuring both durability and quality, not to mention making our facilities more remote from prying eyes.

Here at ABEC we recognize that many clients do not want to start off with outright partnerships, and we respect that. Therefore, we provide "bulk" services, large government contracts worth millions or even billions in an effort to cement relationships with other nations. If you are here, we know you don't want to be known. Sometimes when the laws of the galaxy don't agree with you it means you have to go to drastic measures. We say you shouldn't have to resort to violence or even more illegal activities other than possessing progress. In Bakra cloning and genetic engineering are banned, as in many other nations, but ABEC recognizes the relativity of morality and legal systems. Even if these are legal in your nation, they are not for ABEC and we would very much appreciate it if you kept these transactions to yourself.

The open secret of vat grown organs is that they are a very fine line that once crossed into full genome cloning turn into taboo. So far you get the general sway of things: ABEC is a massive biotechnology and augmentation corporation that seeks to expand it's operations through partnerships. These partnerships take the form of commercial orders to clinics, and later on additional investments that can deepen the experience of NSFT. I would encourage people to mention ABEC in their RPs, though I would like to be made aware of these happenings. I would like this to be both a storefront, setting, and experience for NSFT. I have had a lot of fun making this and using ABEC as an analysis of my nation's economy, and I would love to share this with others. My only "rule" is that to respect each other and this thread. If you only wish to use it as a storefront, fantastic! If you wish to mention it in an RP or factbook, amazing! This is first and foremost something to deepen the experience of NSFT by having a "big corporate name" to mention.
