Two words?

Reality Check.
How to be legitimately recognised in NS? Be a proper Roleplayer.

Hey, have we ever encountered Berkuts before in this RP or is this gonna be the first engagement with them in it? Because I coincidentally just mentioned thrust-vector aircraft a few posts ago...perhaps the Yukes would have some knowledge that would be useful to the squadron?

No Berkuts yet, but we did face off briefly against Su-37's during Ansan, which have thrust vectoring.

As for the shenanigans going on, let's go ahead and tone it down a bit. The saber rattling reminds me of an RP I was in once and I'm getting some flashbacks.

Ahh, explains why I don't remember seeing them before, I was a tad absent for Ansan. Mind if I throw in a little plot where the Yukes have flown in them before and can give a brief radio call telling the squadron how to kill them when they're spotted?

Sure, if we come across any soon.

Gambia's Depths of Space. It got to a point where people were having insanely large spacecraft, to the point where it killed the RP.

Finger on the trigger, cos you're pulling the trigger, pulling the trigger.

To be honest, _______ the trigger was a question in my English exam twelve years ago, a battle in which the Ace was downed by the mass of us chanting "Pull it, pull it, pull..."

I wasn't part of it, but I read the more interesting parts.

You know, to see a potential RP, the search function is helpful to search Godmod / Godmodding :lol2:

And you better not sit this one out Tula lol I might have a shiny new Tomcat but I can't do it by myself

I think that payload wouldn't fit. The AIM-54 takes up a lot of space, 4 of them take up all of the central rails.

I'm going 4 AIM-9M and 4 AIM-120A

I think it would, although I have to find the photographic evidence of the mounting, but I remember seeing one once where they had AIM-7's in between and above the AIM-54's and they could only be fired once the Phoenix' had been. Forgot to mention the fuel tanks on the engine nacelles too.

2× AIM-9 + 4× AIM-54 + 2× AIM-7 (120)
2× AIM-9 + 6× AIM-7 (120)
4× AIM-9 + 4× AIM-54
4× AIM-9 + 4× AIM-7 (120)

Anyhoo I will post in the IC within 24 hours.

I can imagine the loadout, but it would be a very burdened plane, not to mention its dogfight capability would be severely affected due to the stress on the wings.

Left/Right wing hard point with dual pylons - 2 AIM 9s each
Left/Right Heavy Duty Fuselage hardpoints - 2 Phoenixes each.
Central Fuselage rails - 2 Sparrows.

Of course, A-A performance suffers greatly due to combined weight, fuel efficiency sucks as well, and the air frame is particularly stressed.

I don't know what sleep is anymore so instead I found diagrams of every F-14 loadout that the USN actually used for missions on Tomcats.

Name:Eddie Takeda
Nationality: Seianese/Osean
Age: 25
Gender: M

Rank): O-1
Callsign: Wakizashi

Appearance:
Image

Height: 5'7"
Weight:153

Bio: A duel Citizen of Osea and Siean with an Osean Mother and a Sieanese father. As he was born and raised in Osea he prefers the Anglicized version of his name, he earned the callsign Wakizashi for being short and having a sharp tongue. Eddie always wanted to be a fighter pilot but washed out of Osean Pilot Selection so he enlisted with the Air Force of Seian which assigned him to flying cargo aircraft. Because he wanted so badly to be in a jet fighter he switched specialties to weapons systems. He is fresh out of training and has been assigned to be WSO for Garret Jones's F-14D.

RP Example:
This one.

Give or take. A tanker w I'll probably escorts us towards Koga but after which we're on our own from there to the mission site.

Going with a similar Phantom loadout from lasttime, removing the center 6 MK-82's for a 600gal Fuel pod, strapping four Sparrows to the fuselage, replacing the inboard MK82's with MK81's to lighten the load, and a pair of AGM-65's on the outer pylons.

The tanker will provide the fuel there and back i assume, the centerline store is just for that insurance.
Yo, that's mad.

Right there, take the additional Sparrows off the Short-Range Intercept loading and put the Phoenix from the long range over them. I can't remember where, but I swear I've seen them that loaded down on the centerline with fuel and Sidewinders on the wing gloves. And I wouldn't be dogfighting with that much weight initially, I'd try and use the range of the AIM-54's before I went in to fight.
