CHARACTER PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Character Name: Thaddeus Usseio

Character Gender: Male

Species (nation personification, human, alien, etc): Human Cyborg

Age: indeterminable

Appearance: Thaddeus stands roughly 7.5 feet in height. His body shape is broad and seems muscular though this is due to design rather than a natural feature. Body design along these lines, with a bit more organic parts thrown in. It's rumored by Naomi that he still has the dangly bits but nobody in their right mind would ask him to show and tell. He's ugly (even for a his people) and it doesn't bother him. He has taken to forgoing the respirator in favor of a "more natural" (ha!) look which entails (sadly for those who have to spend time with him) a lopsided mouth, missing teeth, and a nose which most describe as a travesty. His eyes have been replaced with smooth, silvery optics which rest behind seldom-blinking lids. Bald, brutish, and prone to speaking in growls, he's off-putting until people get to know him.

OBJECTIVES
Primary Objectives are your character's main goals. This should be the thing that drives their part of the plot. When not engaged in stories, these are what occupy your character's thoughts or keep them busy. Examples include: acting on a desire to become a powerful and respected leader; attempting to overcome some horrible thing in the past which hinders the character on a day-to-day basis; seeking to break out their shell by overcoming profound shyness (getting involved with stories); comping to terms with a major flaw that inhibits the character from reaching full potential; etc.

Secondary Objectives are minor goals. These should be an undercurrent for your character when they are engaged in stories or on their free time. Examples include: acquiring weapons and becoming proficient with each one; improving sundered relations with a companion; improving their reading comprehension; mastering news spells; researching a cure for a plague; etc.

Objectives such as "making friends" or "finding love" are NOT acceptable. Please put much though into your character's objectives - they are what flesh out your character and one of the most important aspects necessary to portray the character as 3D.

Primary Objective: To die. It's as simple as that. Cursed by a Chaos god, Thaddeus lives out his existence for the sole sake of meeting an enemy capable of utterly destroying him by shattering the curse. Suicide is not an option (he piloted a ship into a star only to find the curse restored him). He has slowly stripped away his organics in the hope of achieving this goal only to find his essence - that which is him, and whatever remaining organics that go into to - remains intact. He has a profound hatred of Chaos for this reason.

Secondary Objectives: To do right by his foster son, Marcus, raising him in the ways of the Order. His fear is that the young man will give in to the addiction common to all cyborgs and priests - surrendering his humanity bit by bit until he's nothing more than machine. He concealed Marcus' birth father's identity all these years to that aim. The Confederation, in his opinion, are heathens that worship knowledge rather than the Machine God. He looks for an opportunity to steal Marcus' birth mother back (having had a relationship with her once upon a time). To that end, should she ever separate from the birth father, he intends to hunt him down and tear him apart piece by piece.

He also longs to patch his relationship with his exwife for sake of their friendship though, given that she's a splinter of the god that cursed him, he's divided in his loyalties to her and to their son.

He must conform to the obligations thrust upon him by that god, serving her purpose. However, he finds relief in assassinations and quick kills and takes the odd contract. Thus he considers himself a professional and eternally strives to live up to his own high standards.

He has never walked away from the Admech faith, and worships in secret, though he longs for the day he can openly rejoin the Brotherhood.

Kill Nifid. Lots and lots of Nifid. However, contracts and agreements, as well as a nasty treaty, limit this minor objective. It does tie into his primary objective as he believes the Nifid, with their nullification of magic, might just be the foe necessary to end the curse. Thus he goes out of his way to torment their agents when ideal situations occur.


MUNDANE SKILLS
These do NOT require points. These are the average, daily things your character can do. Examples are "drive a car", "speak one Foreign Language", "play a guitar", "write poetry". Some mundane skills come from your bio and are freebie. A soldier has gone through Basic training. However, Medic, martial arts or sniper would be a Specialized Skill or Talent.

Centuries of life have granted him far too many mundane skills to list. He can pilot, he can drive, he can repair, he can shoot, and his processor grants him multiple languages.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS
These are specialized skills that set you apart from the average person. You have 7 points to spend here. Examples are swordsmanship, sniper, coercion, medic, wizarding, piloting etc.

• Ability 1 and Points Spent: Wetwork. You figure it out.
  
• Ability 2 and Points Spent: Research. Thaddeus is a xenovirologist. He's brilliant at it, and we'll leave it at that.
  
• Ability 3 and Points Spent: Repair and fabrication.
  
• Ability 4 and Points Spent: Failed Spess Mahreen means he knows many forms of combat and can, in a pinch, fall back on his training in the field. Then again, an arm canon is much more effective, no?
• Ability 5 and Points Spent: Neste taught him to play the piano. There's a preference for jazz. His level? 3, if sober.

OPTIONAL SUPERNATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
You have 7 points to spend here on supernatural skills or abilities. Sonic Scream, Levitation, Spell Casting, Shape Shifting etc. Superman MUST have his kryptonite thus weaknesses are things which inhibit the ability. Restrictions are what can't they do with their power or what balances it. They can only use it when they genuinely need it? They can't use it for more then five minutes without serious side-effects? Some things are allowed without points. A pegasus has wings thus it can fly. A raptor is fast thus no points are spent in speed. These "natural" abilities should be listed here, however. What isn't allowed: teleportation beyond a few feet; the ability to alter or go back/forward in time.

(OP's character, these abilities will not be fully disclosed in order to flatwork any attempts by unscrupulous noobs to circumnavigate his abilities while in "tool mode". If a player behaves like an ass, there's nothing they can do to stop him from going into that mode to rid the game of them. As OP, I will find you and I will kill you IC.)

  Power Level: -
  Strengths: His body and the curse placed upon him grant him the ability to endure the harshest environments. Various augmentations allow him to perform a variety of tasks from simple repairs to lethal slaughter. The immortality thrust upon him can only be broken by the Chaos bitch that cursed him. He regenerates - lock, stock, and barrel.
  Weaknesses: - (side note: the god is the weakness. She can toy with him however she pleases, to include cramming a daemon into him to fully possess him against his will.)
  Restrictions: this character's powers will not be used excessively (if at all) during normal game play. See note about "tool mode" above.
  
  
• Ability 2: Immunity to magic and psionic penetration
  Power Level: -
  Strengths: Ah, you thought you'd use your shit to do him in? No, he's protected, another fact of life that pisses him off.
  Weaknesses: - (side note: absolutely no immunity to the god that cursed him, nor the other gods of that pantheon.)
  Restrictions:

MAGICAL OR SPECIAL ITEMS
If it's not on this list, your character doesn't have it. Magical items are rare and hard to come by. Please list what they can/can't do - treat them like a supernatural thing. Items not allowed: anything that can alter time; anything that allows a character to teleport beyond a few feet.

List:

• A fully stocked lab in the Admech Lair, most of it geared towards corrupting organic matter. In particular, his goody collection caters to his virology research and containment of Nifid tech.
• A truck. Well, it's not just a truck. It's a beast. His pride and joy. It's capable of doing nasty business but he's almost neurotic over the thing, thus hesitant to undertake anything that might scratch the paint.
• Hammerspace pockets in his leather trench coat. This was a gift from Klaus. He loses track of half the shit in them, hasn't emptied them in years. Klaus' has a warped sense of humor, to boot, so reaching for a magazine in a firefight may yield nothing but rubber squeak toy duckies. The good news is that the rubber duckies explode, usually accompanied by a loud squeak. The bad news is that some have an incredibly short delay so chances are high that he'll lose a finger or two (only to regenerate the tech) each time.
• Grandfather Ogoti's Magical Humidor. It keeps him stocked with a never-ending cigar supply. This, too, succumbed to Klaus' antics. Every third cigar explodes and, being Chaos magic, his organic nose never properly regenerated the first time it happened.

BACKGROUND
Be detailed please. You must explain how your character aquired their skills, talents, abilities, and special items. Wrap your primary and secondary objectives into it.

Education or Training: Thaddeus is a failed Space Marine. Though the gene seed is almost all but purged, the knowledge and skills that came with the process remain intact. It wasn't until after Charumati tore him to shreds in battle that he was considered a "failure" in the program (just shy of his final steps). The Brotherhood took pity on him, welcoming him into their ranks and training him in their ways. He served nearly three hundred years before Charumati hunted him down once more, and he acquired much knowledge during that time.

Character Background/Biography: Thaddeus was born on Fedrid, a Death world within the Calixis Sector. He picked up marksmanship from his father, and rose in status as a fighter. While most are chosen based upon their aggression and psychotic-level killer instinct, his instinct to kill arose from necessity given the deadly nature of his home planet. He was initially thought to lack the aggression necessary for selection until it was discovered that his mindset was more calculating than savage. Phase 1 of his indoctrination began at the age of 11, accompanied by the first augmentation - a secondary heart.

Considering that this character has been in play nearly 12 years in a variety of games, there's far too much history to cover. His tale picks up in PL. As Neste and Marcus are now part of the setting:

Thaddeus relocated to the Baratia hiveworld in order to pursue his research - including horrible experiments on humans and other life forms. Charumati was dead (again) though her power over him did not wane, and his rage towards her became apparent by what he did regarding the torture and mutilation of her cultists and their daemons. It was during this time that he found a fellow admech and married, and Wren was produced. Several years later, he was tasked to protect "hardware" which turned out to be the pregnant (and memory-wiped) Overseer. An illicit affair began shortly after the birth of her son, though it didn't last long. The Invidis and a reborn Charumati conspired to reclaim the Overseer as well as Thaddeus. The world was destroyed; he bared escaped with his life. Now wifeless, and with the Overseer once again suffering a memory wipe, he had no choice but to go underground with her and her son. He raised the boy as his own and appointed the lizard as his nanny. Neste, no longer aware of the past and in a deep depression, rejected him and all other contact save for the child.

Years and several battled later, Thaddeus was pulled into Vafflehelm by Charumati and charged with serving as her personal protector. Having nothing to live for, he sunk into his own depression which was only overcome by Charumati's splinter, Naomi - the embodiment of Love. Theirs was a secretive courtship and marriage. It was during this time that he brought Marcus to stay with him. During the Drone invasion, Charumati brought him to another dimension (with Naomi, Wren, Eva and Marcus in tow) in order for him to bastardize Nifid tech to defeat the Drones. Thirteen years passed, though it was only a day for those in Vafflehelm. He (and family) returned with weaponry which took out Drone tech. An explosion and new thread later, the Drones agreed to leave things alone and Thaddeus found himself without any purpose. The god killer and Chaos protector was now nothing more than an odd fixture occasionally found lurking the lobby. Fritz (Chaos avatar for the God of Fate) took pity on him and blessed his brain in order for him to enjoy occasional binge drinking, which he does when in the mood to get blind drunk.

He slipped into depression once more, forsaking everyone to the point of giving Naomi a reason to divorce him (she promptly did). His obsession had turned towards augmentations, an addition in fact. He missed the birth of his son, Argus. His only source of relief was his work and the boy whose mother had been his first, true love.

His devotion to Marcus is unwavering though he seldom tells the boy his feelings. Now that Marcus has learned the truth of his parentage, Thaddeus feels abandoned. There is nothing left for him. He has embarked once again on his quest for death, much to Adrastus' sorrow. He's a broken man.

Outwardly, he comes across as reserved. There is a clever sense of humor still rattling about his mind but it doesn't come out often. He is friendly to those he knows but allows no one to get close to him. His ties to Chaos grant him access to gossip ergo he's able to keep tabs on the Residents. And he's still charged with protecting them, especially the godling Giovenith (on Ogoti's orders). He's fond of his magically enlarged pet waterbear, Boopsie, but mocking him for it will surely bring about swift demise.

That later became "Super Mooshie", an action hero that protected him from all the deadly things outside their front door.

Sterling's cutie mark story's in his bio if I remember right. He earned it a bit late, partly due to him doing similar things every day so never really pushing the envelope and searching for who he is. A bunch of ponies trying to cause a bit of trouble knocked over a bunch of shelves in his local library and the unicorn spent the day helping the librarians clan up rather than doing his normal things. It showed up sometime during that but neither he nor the librarians noticed until they were done.

So its both a cutie mark of altruism and his skill in organization and cleaning up.

Super Mooshie must return. Preferably in the form of a Tyranid Ripper pet that Thaddeus takes out for walkies every now and then.

"Probably what an idiot I was for trusting Septimus' equipment during that Spire experiment. I'd calibrated my own to have fail-safes in the event that I wandered too far from the designated path for too long, to pull me back in. Brother Itum had no such safeguards and I'd neglected to ask if he'd prepare them beforehand. Trusted him too much, I suppose. I won't make the same mistake next time."

Insofar as Deader could be said to have a childhood, it itself was the product of the intersection between a mad alchemist and a drunken scullery maid. Said maid was hired one day in a moment of distraction by other said alchemist to do his laundry. Unfortunately said maid mistook the alchemist's latest frothing concoction with white suds for washing-soap.

Once immersed and left unattended overnight, the robes and assorted unmentionables somehow gained sentience in a collective, and revolted. Thus the clothing mass' formative years were spent stealing more clothes off clotheslines.

If I understand the question correctly, He most likely has. There's many times he's admired a work of robotics or metal but has been unable to attempt bartering for it, as he's unlikely to steal unless he believes the owners are bad people, and he tries seeing the best in everyone. I'd think something beautiful to him would be like the advanced robots of his universe, though the war droids are a weird issue to him. He admires the robotics and AI that goes into them but the goal in mind in their construction he dislikes intensely.

Oto was inspired by rock and punk music, maybe a little metal and pop as well. In my head, her band makes music which fits most genres. Sort of like how Fall Out Boy fits rock, punk and pop at the same time.

Ched: was Romy ever married? Does he have a family?

Romy as required by military officership as standards put by the Academy in Hackory, had vowed like all generals and officers before him to never marry while they serve Wilhelm in his campaigns of conquest and subjugation. And service extends until death for Generals and other high ranking officers implanted with the regeneration organ (which ensures up to a thousand years of nonstop service), for the simple reason that there sole purpose as intended by a Wilhelm is to be focused solely on winning campaigns for the Imperium and little else. And also people like Romy would be traveling all over the place and leading, so it'll be considered an unnecessary hassle to bring a family along. And even if there was a family that would be left behind to settled down somewhere, by the time a General would ever get a chance to come back to them, many generations would have likely passed and anyone that the General loved or fathered would have been dead for awhile at that point, having lived their full lives without him there.

That isn't to say that Romy hasn't loved anyone before and is supposed to be completely celibate either, but of course to appear as professional as possible he probably forgoes doing a lot of stuff. But with what stuff he has done though? Well lets just say he didn't have much of a chance to check back in with them.

Sterling would actually probably pick something artistic if he got the choice. He slightly envies Willow for his ease of artistic skill, its something he wanted to try doing as a kid but he simply never quite got how to make any sort of art.


Sakarias doesn't remember too much of finland by this point, but he does miss what he remembers. He wishes he could have been able to visit it before the end, and is a bit afraid to go there now, knowing it no longer exists by all chance and likely is about the same as the USA. He prefers keeping it as good memories than to sour it with the grim realities of his world.

Hmmm.... Kale would probably feel extremely uncomfortable. She isn't used to plants really reacting to her, especially in a seemingly aggressive manner. She'd try to leave or move as quickly as she could (if she had to do something which required trekking through the Wold). But she'd always have a lingering thought from the experience as something was wrong with her and that's why the plants were hostile.

Cat: Anything long and dangly at which he can bat ad infinitum, or pounce on when pulled. Balls are a close second, as well as seeming somewhat more dignified than attacking strings. Crinkly stuff is also fun.

Agy: A curious [SPOILER REDACTED] willing, but possibly unable. Nick's genetic manipulation was done on a zygote; having billions of cells to alter, all of which have been through crazy stuff already, makes it much less feasible.

Cer: Part of it has already happened: cutoff from family and home. The fear just about tied with it is of failure, personal and otherwise. She's long worried that by messing up or just being herself, she could start a war, which would be completely against her duties as a diplomat; as she isn't being called on to represent her country anytime soon, this is mitigated. The fear somewhat replacing it is of powerful stuff that makes no sense to her - cell phone chargers, Kale's powers, and Demens all frighten her. These ones are 'hers'; cultural conditioning has resulted in fear of the color red and terror at slight hints of violence.
