That is more or less what I was envisioning for the camera contact lens, though the detail of the electronics would be visible only if one was inches from the person.

But I still have a penchant for the Zeiss Ikon eyes from Gibson's cyberpunk stories.

Quick Announcement!

We have some players on vacation and some players haven't returned. PL is no longer a dragger, though. If you'e involved in a scene with a MIA handler, have your character politely excuse themselves and go on with your stories. If it's mid-story, let Cer or a CoOP know so we can puppet that character (we won't insert feelings or dialog however, except for Yuna).

Players, upon return, please make sure to ask where we are before posting. Sully will be "paused" because Dance is going on vacation. Tsu is MIA. Slo and Torsi, go ahead with your plans. These new characters will be moved by staff to their apartments. They can emerge from there at any time to participate in stories again.

Be aware that prolonged absence will result in characters being dropped. Players may need to reapply. Cer won't contact players via TG to ask if they're still interested before dropping them. It's a waste of his time and feels too much like prodding for his tastes.

We're already aware that Fraire has an odd schedule which limits him on certain days of the week. This is fine. Players, keep that schedule in mind. He's eager and can't help his schedule situation.

This does not count parked characters owned by active players.

@New players/players with new characters: Amanda and Thaddeus are going to head into Ascalon. We're going to establish some new areas in the city, so this is an excellent chance for your character to learn about the current PL setting, and boldly go where no other character has gone before.

Last Chance of Xo'Lokako

For the PL summer stories I had an idea while working on the new character, associated to what her work was right before being brought in.

The Story is pretty much helping to finish up Venla's job where she on the planet she was pulled from: saving a species from ripping itself apart and killing itself off. The race is an anthropoid one that lives on a largely tundra and arctic world on the edge of Huvidu-Zaan territory. I've already thought about what's causing them to become extremely xenophobic as a species, past any rationality. Its something you actually could stop, not a natural societal phenomenon. It'd partially be a mystery sort of thing, investigating among the natives to find out what's changed lately. Also actiony near the end and if things go tit's up, just depends on the group.

Given the nation she's from has disguise tech and translation stuff we can deal with those biggest hurdles easily.

I wanted to see if anyone would be willing to send characters on that, the one of mine going on would be Venla since its her job she needs to finish before she can feel like she can devote to the cause she's been pulled to here on Galli.

My characters already are villains... they just don't show it in public. Muahahaha.

Torsi, I gave you a small novel in IC, but I don't think the Lair has been described in any detail yet. So this works as a tag for when we need to quickly reference the setting. Think of this and this. Marcus' "cozy" space is more akin to this though the other half of the room is pretty standard "cyberpunk sleektech". She won't see "40K grimdark" areas unless she signs on to the priesthood or ventures into Thad's space.

Katya, I feel, would be between Chaotic Good and Chaotic Neutral, while Torii would be Chaotic Good, and Audette Chaotic Neutral. Sozewe would be Neutral Evil, maybe. I haven't played him a lot.

I do use my own reasoning often, to a degree, with my characters though, and I tend to find Chaotic anything reasonable.

I could see Katya and Sozewe in villainous roles - Katya more plotting and being more subdued and classy about it, while Sozewe would just start chopping shit up.

Katya would be the one to sit in her chair, drink in hand, and ramble on about her scheme, quoting famous plays and books and looking down on her victim. Either that, or feign the weak girl and act submissive while actually eyeing her target like a toy to play with.

Sozewe would just say "fuck it" and attack, because it's no fun otherwise. He has powers, so why not display them?

Audette is kind of "chained up" by her own moral code and job, though if she thinks those around her to be deserving of punishment or dispensable, she'd probably shoot up a place if given permission. She wants her target dead, period.

Torii would fight to protect her loved ones and those who need it, though she'd have no quarrels with bombing a town square, for instance, if she believed it to be for the greater good, and to protect her friends. She's a believer in terrorist tactics > protest.

Hmm...maybe good characters could be involved, though I couldn't imagine them behaving too villainous. I'm thinking less "For the greater good" and more "Selfish with a side of goodness."

Well, looking at the World page, we're already up at least 5,000 nations compared to yesterday. The newnation spawn rate has skyrocketed, peaking north of 1,000 per hour, so.... Yeah. Bit of a zoo with the bad nation names and field violations.

Holy cow, I can't imagine how hellish their weekend has been.
