Party Platform

Declaration Of Principles

The Social Liberal Party strives for a free and fair society in which the individual is respected. It is important for the government to work with the private sector and regulate the economy to encourage fairness, protect the lives and rights of the citizenry, preserve equality under the law, and root out corruption within its halls. The government can and should be a force for good, but it is up to the citizen to keep it so. We stand for the voiceless and the downtrodden, the working man and his family, the Elizian who wonders how he can survive with so much debt, we stand for the businessmen who can’t afford to pay his employees so he cuts his own salary, we stand for the retiree who is unsure of his financial stability, we stand for the widowed mother who is afraid how she will feed her children, we stand for ELIZIA.

Economic Policy
  • The SLP supports progressive taxation.
  • The SLP supports a mixed market economic system.
  • The SLP supports fair trade, ensuring that safeguards for workers, the environment, and Elizian sovereignty are provided.
  • The SLP supports establishing a commission to regulate and oversee the merging of large corporations and protect against noncompetitive market tactics

  • The SLP supports tax credits for certain industries or businesses that meet certain requirements.
  • The SLP supports moderate privatization of nationalized industries.
  • The SLP supports initiatives to launch and help small businesses thrive and well as moderate tax breaks to assist small businesses.
  • The SLP rejects isolationist/protectionist ideals and policies that will only serve to harm Elizia.
  • The SLP supports a social safety net to assist those in dire times.

Law and Order
  • The SLP supports a well trained and funded police force to maintain order and protect the citizens of Elizia.
  • The SLP supports a decentralized police force with a unifying central command for policy initiatives, but allow for each province to run and fund their own police forces.
  • The SLP supports tough penalties for the crimes of murder, rape, human trafficking, sexual slavery, drug use and distribution, prostitution, corruption, and crimes against humanity.
  • The SLP supports rehabilitation for lesser misdemeanors and such.
  • The SLP supports a well funded Public Defenders Office to assist low income Elizians in the legal system.
  • The SLP supports protections from workplace discrimination on the basis of nationality, race, ethnicity, and sex.
  • The SLP supports a war on drugs in Elizia to combat the drug epidemic Asia currently faces.
  • The SLP supports a war on sexual trafficking in Elizia to combat sexual slavery and kidnappings of young individuals.

You'd better believe I'm a bitter Bernie Sanders supporter. The Dems fucked up and fucked up hard. Hopefully they'll learn that neoliberalism and maintaining the status quo isn't the way to win this election or any other one. I doubt they will, though.

Being a political party in an unstable nation, we expect to be attacked. So we armoured our HQ, and the windows are bomb resistant. You did not break our window.
