Title: Roses Are Due If Violet's For You

Validity: not valid if the internet has been banned, not valid if religion has been banned

Description: VioletistsOnly.com, a dating site for members of the Order of Violet to meet each other, recently discovered that most of its users were not actually practitioners of Violetism. In response, the owners of the site suspended the accounts of all those who were not Violetists. Bachelors and bachelorettes across @@NAME@@ have come to your office seeking a solution to their marital woes.

Title: Bridging the Dating Divide

Validity: not valid if the internet has been banned

You need another option. Something along the lines of "I've got the perfect solution," says RANDOM BUSINESS MAN handing you his card and a certificate for 30 days free access to @@NATION@@ Dating, Inc. "We are launching a new dating service open to all. Our users may screen potential dates by all kinds of criteria including religion. We have different levels of confidence in information based on what users choose to share with the site and what we can verify. It is all in the subscriber's hands. This will be great! People will be finding dates again in hours."

Result: Internet dating up, singles bars down
Stats: Political freedoms up. Slight uptick in happiness?

I agree with that. Hadn't thought of it.

I love the premise of the issue and its humour, though I think the title is a little weak, and the effect lines could be more entertaining.

Maybe add an option in which the non-violists using the website want to buy it?

I have two suggestions:

1. Change the premise of the issue. Have the website kick off all of its non-Violetist members. The expelled users will protest based on freedom of religion and the right to love, and the website will counter with property rights and freedom of association.

2. Make the government option more nefarious. Your advisor wants to use dating websites for the purpose of eugenics.

Good ideas! I incorporated them into my newest issue draft. I completely overhauled everything except option 2 which stayed intact.

I though of a new title idea: "For the love of Violet". Opinions? Ideas?

I made a few edits to fix grammar, as well as changed the title and validity. Any more thoughts? This will probably be the final bump for this.

This issue proposal is certainly topical. Today, a California judge ordered ChristianMingle.com to offer its services to homosexuals.

Interesting. I actually was inspired by the site FarmersOnly.com which heavily advertises in my area. (I doubt most people have ever seen a commercial of theirs, so here's a great example.)

I actually see their commercials fairly often even though I live in an urban area. (My media market is primarily rural.)
