Yohannes now the second biggest importer of industrial goods in Brabantum

Image... the Brabantish people need not worry that a known trading power such as Yohannes will abuse this relationship...

Te Whanganui a Tara, 23 June -The third biannual Crown Import-Export Select Committee of His Majesty's Government has recently revealed that the Imperial Government has generated 40 million jobs in the nation of Brabantum through direct client relationships and their consequential effects on secondary suppliers in the Holy Empire; known for its nationalistic tendency and motto of 'Victoriam Brabantum!'

"The generation of capital required by BEI to further expand the planned Brabant-Yohannesian shipment facilities and trade route has mostly been realised thanks to the contribution of the four major Brabantish banks and our very own Bank of Yohannes."

"The creation of this virtual route alone further contribute to the creation of new jobs supplementing the 40 million figures over the years", Hearing member and Member of Parliament of South Tamaki the Honourable Dr Samuel Hellenisch-Grover announced in television political affairs programme The Nation this morning, among a panel of four.

"Just like most of our SFTRs with other trading partners, the equity financing comes through on behalf of a joint controlled Brabant-Yohannesian Trading Company, a structure that has long withstand the criticisms of our... left wing members of parliament."

"It is a known foreign corporate sellout way of doing things though", interjected panel member Remuera Fisher of the University of Te-Whanganui A Tara. "We might as well admit that it is worse than all the shady too big to fail corporates dodging responsible taxation by shifting their income declarations."

"Look...", interjected Finance Minister Robert Scottish, another member of the panel, "... at the end of the day, we can all say this and that, but look... the results speak for themselves. New jobs both in Yohannes and most importantly Brabant itself."

"We can all speak of the failure of neoliberalism and the trickling down theory, dodgy corporate conducts, and Imperial wealth squandering, but when the people have jobs, growth is up for the year, and new migrants coming to Yohannes for opportunities in drove, we can all agree that we have done the right thing."

"We in Imperial believes of a better Yohannes for the future, whereas our Labour and Green members might think twice... they are more preoccupied with things... secondary in importance to our electoral voters. And that is why we are in government, and they are not."

The last member of the panel, Severus Kingsley, President of the Industrial Workers Union, asked whether 'we as a nation would be prideful in occupying the mantle of second largest importer of not just industrial goods, but also weapon of territorial destruction, expanding our already burgeoning capacity as an exporter of war machines through importation of secondary materials', and whether 'we as a responsible and well known World Assembly member nation should think twice of further participating in such a part of international trade.'

"His Majesty's Government of the nineteen Yohannesian countries believes in its strict regulation of arms trade and hereby affirms our commitment to ensure transparency and meticulousness in the department of import-export controls", assured Robert Scottish to Elisa Owens, presenter of The Nation.

"The Brabantish people need not worry that a known trading power such as Yohannes will abuse this relationship"

The Stock Exchange of Yohannes’ ISEY list reported a combined cash and deposit holding of 40.2 billion NSD/USD for Brabantum Exports and Imports as of 23 June.

Reply to the nation of Trelatche

Postby Yohannes » Sun Jun 26, 2016 2:09 am

Trelatche wrote:
MEDIETE -- The industrial sector has seen mass growth as of late, with notable enterprises, including Pearson Motors and VMK Defence and Steelworks, seeing a sharp rise in sales in the last fiscal quarter. “This is great news indeed,” says University of Atlantis economics professor Gale Rowling, who has been researching in the field over the past 15 years. “The gains we’ve seen are extremely significant, the likes of which have only been successfully executed in nation simulations.”

International trade has increased dramatically over the past few weeks, though some fear that the federal government is outsourcing too many contracts to corporations overseas. “Hey I worked hard to build up my company, so the government should be giving me that defence contract!” says Mark Evard, owner of Walter Shipworks, over allegations that the Trelatchean government is planning to award a contract to VMK in the coming month.

“What superior quality? See, that thing still floats,” he said, pointing to a rusted metal dinghy. Walter Shipworks is still under investigation by the Federal Safety Commission after it discovered that many of its watercraft had been easily sunk by the turbulence caused by Yohannesian ships simply passing by.

Trelatche-Yohannes two-way trade a continuing deficit for mother nation

Image... Loseton and Yohannes First will view this as an opportunity to play up the barrier and foreigners card...

Te Whanganui a Tara, 26 June - Two-way trade between Trelatche and Yohannes went up in the last 5 years, according to Gale Rowling, a prominent economics Professor from the University of Atlantis of Trelatche.

It was overall, however, in favour of the Federation, as Yohannes fell into a trade deficit in five consecutive months against Trelatche – meaning the nineteen countries import more than it exports to the Federation. Finance Minister Robert Scottish, speaking on behalf of the Governor of the Yohannesische Bundesbank, has confirmed that ‘… the imbalance of trade was largely driven by the automobile industry, where our domestic automobile manufacturers simply will have, in my opinion, to do more… to keep up with the competitive Pearson Automotive, and other automobile manufacturers from Trelatche.”

Yohannesian exports to Trelatche – mainly of semiconductors, shipbuilding grade products and merchant vessels, and naval systems – fell for both the Kingdom of Alexandria and the Regency of Lindblum, two of the largest economies of the nineteen countries. “We have predicted for a wee while that this… mainly comes from the worry we have about the Commonwealth Navy’s ability to more than adequately escort our merchant fleets around the waters of The South Pacific region”, the Finance Minister added. Gale Rowling, and other pundits in Trelatche, however, rebutted with the views that “… the gains we’ve seen are extremely significant, the likes of which have only been successfully executed in nation simulations…”, offering the sobering perspective that this large imbalance of trade in favour of Trelatche does not have to be taken as a case of permanent win or lose scenario.

“In fact, both nations benefited in the long term, and I daresay that this situation is quite simply temporary… though long it has been… and perhaps worryingly so for the majority of our medium sized automobile servicing or parts manufacturing firms”, Alexander Doherty-Williams, President of the Te Whanganui a Tara Chamber of Commerce said during Q+A Television One Current Affairs programme yesterday. “Trelatche is our biggest market in that region [The South Pacific], replacing Brutland and Norden in terms of two-way trade, or destination of Yohannesian exports… years back.”

“Though Loseton and Yohannes First will view this as an opportunity to play up the barrier and foreigner card, I do say we should ignore such a short-minded, insular point of view, and look at the bigger picture.”

“… expected recovery of electronics and capital goods, alongside assembled merchant vessels’ price should lift our exports in Trelatche in maybe seven to ten years’ time, and by quite a good margin too.”

The value of engineered composite materials exports to Trelatche dropped 3 per cent, following on the previous decline of automobile parts, the four experts panel concluded.

State sponsored Trelatche-Yohannes Shipping Incorporated, meanwhile, has reported a 'buoyant' short term outlook for the months ahead, as demand for both capital and consumer goods between the two nations continue to gradually increase to follow on the closer relationship and cooperation of both governments.

For November, Yohannes logged a two-way trade deficit of 20.5 billion Quertz russling to Trelatche, going up slightly from the previous month’s high of 19.7 billion, with exports of composite materials and electronics relating to aircraft manufacturing and civilian shipbuilding the hardest in decline.

The Mediete Stock & Currency Exchange has also seen highs only reached in November of 2014, which is expected to be surpassed entering June.

Altmark Shipyard Limited to cement GIR-Yohannes relationship years to come

Image... The BoY contribution is estimated to bring about 1,300 new skilled trade positions in New Berlin...

Te Whanganui a Tara, 28 June - Altmark Shipyard Limited (ISEY: ASYL) has reported of a plan to build new shipbuilding facilities in New Berlin, the capital city of the Grand Imperial Republic. A nation of 4.4 billion people located in the far-flung region of The Intercontinental Union of Nations, the Grand Republic is known for its extensive naval construction and industrial capacity, built under the foundation of ‘civil suppression, dictatorial oppression, and the overarching watch of a repressive, autocratic regime’, according to some international pundits.

The vigorous expansion of vital naval facility projects has been accelerating for the last eight years, and investors in the service industry stand to benefit from the middle class that is growing in both size and income and the skilled domestic and foreign employees to work for the factories. According to Heartland Building Society Chairman Boris de Jong, New Berlin is among the top 100 cities where Yohannesian investors are set to gain the most, “in large part due to the… accommodating… regulation as set by the current regime.”

“It is not my purpose to play down the lack of human rights and political freedom in that nation… I would like to emphasise, quite simply, the opportunities presented for our manufacturers… and we must… I believe, put that into perspective.” According to Outgoing FDI Yohannes 2016 of the National Business review, New Berlin, with its expanding middle class population and large quantity of trained, skilled engineers, and educated population meant that that city is ideally situated to be the pivot of Yohannesian investment in that nation, and the neighbouring regional nations of the Grand Imperial Republic.

Dolores Umbridge-Freyberg, Spokeswoman of the burgeoning Altmark company, announced this morning that the planned facilities - to be situated in the commercial hub and political heart of the Grand Republic - is expected to cover an area of 212.8 square metres, with the main purpose of accomplishing steel, mechanical, and pipe work using the latest machinery and supporting facilities. “We are eyeing up apprentice positions for various jobs such as overseeing high pressure water jet surface cleaning of client vessels… mechanical and engine maintenance work supervising…”

“… and others, with the purpose of giving more options for new entrants and eager young recruits… the opportunity to gradually climb a higher career ladder.”

Meanwhile, the Grand Imperial Bank and the Bank of Yohannes will jointly contribute at least 24.1 million Universal Standard Dollars for the Grand Imperial Republic’s Naval and Structural Engineering Postgraduate programme, one of its many state sponsored initiatives for the last ten years. “We are committed to the promotion of intergovernmental cooperation in higher education and innovative applied, technical research.” “… The BoY contribution is estimated to bring about 1,300 new skilled trade positions in New Berlin”, according to press gallery reporter Andrea Matakiri of the National Business Review.

“The project is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2018.”

“With the mission of stimulating foreign investment from new actors, the Grand Imperial government constantly strives for a positive tax regime to stimulate growth, creating an environment with a generous tax code and pretty straightforward process… taking less than 2 weeks in average.”

“… Altmark Shipyard Limited will seize this opportunity to commercially cooperate with our Grand Imperial counterparts, with good faith and in full compliance of existing regulation.

The Stock Exchange of Yohannes' ISEY list reported a cash and deposit holding of 51.7 million NSD/USD as of June 28 for Altmark Shipyard, down from 69 million NSD/USD at the beginning of the quarter.

Its shares closed up 4 cents at 4.51 NSD/USD.

For now, I wish to limit our involvement strictly to ship building, although we will build any ships you desire us to build. After a period of one year, I would like to expand our involvement to other areas, provided the first year proves well for us both.

REPUBLIC OF TEKERISTAN

Official Statement of the Republic of Tekeristan

To: Crown Commonwealth of Yohannes - Alleswerken
From:Tekeristan
Subject: Native Tekeristan Hard-Lumber - Trade Agreement

To whom it may concern,

We have received several offers from several different individuals and organizations within the nation of Yohannes seeking interest in the luxury & hard-wood lumbers native to Tekeristan that have recently been opened to auction. In the interests of establishing a safe, secure, and beneficial route to deliver these goods we seek interest in establishing an official route.

Tekeristan also wishes to increase exports & imports to further boost its growing economy. The recent passing of the Tekeristan Economic Development & Ecological Conservation act, or TEDEC, is bringing additional industrialization to Tekeristan in an effort to create private-sector jobs, grow domestic Tekeristan businesses, and to lower imports on materials such as steel & semiconductors. Efforts are also underway to better establish a more independent Tekeristan economy, such as expanding coal mining operations in an ecologically safe fashion to sustain our growing steel & manufacturing industries in order to better protect our economy & people against future economic harm.

Name of agency/business/entity: Federal Government of Tekeristan - Ministry of Commerce
Nation of origin: Republic of Tekeristan
Which type of goods or service do you wish to sell to us, and export to Yohannes?
    - Native Hard-Wood & luxury lumber
    - Consumer & High grade electronics & robotic goods
    - Petroleum
    - Agricultural goods
    - Industrial exports such as parts & wiring
    - Gold
    - Alcoholic goods
    - Other

Any further comments or inquiries?

The funds gathered by the hard-wood lumber auction will be used to support local communities & national parks through these times of recent economic downturn. We hope to see a growing relation between our 2 respective nations as well as growing economies.

We seek interest in opening readily available factories in our nation, however this will have to wait until the allotted time proposed by the recent passed TEDEC act has transpired. This was done so that native industries may recover & expand from the recent damages of economic embargo & was proposed by the nation's Nationalist party in an act of appeasement.

Respectful regards,
Republic of Tekeristan

The solidification of Tekerista-Yohannesian trading relationship to continue for years

Image... The Kingdom of Alexandria is set to gain the most of such a policy... considering the size of our civilian shipbuilding industry...

Te Whanganui a Tara, 2 July - The Federal Government of Tekeristan’s long-term strategic effort of industrialisation is on display once again, as 25,000 new jobs were created in the nation’s highly valued wood harvesting and timber manufacturing industries since the establishment of the Tekerista-Yohannesian agreement of trade and friendship in 2014. “Naturally… we were somewhat sceptical of the agreement at first… as the possibility of only low-skilled, labour intensive positions created was one of the many other negative possibilities to arise out of such an agreement…”, a spokesperson of the Tekerista-Yohannesian Import-Export Company said at the current affairs Television One Q+A programme this morning. “… jobs are jobs… without a doubt, but at the same time, we’re hoping of something more than just the usual [labour] intensive jobs to come into fruition as a result of our agreement.”

The timber processing and structural engineering industry accounted for over half of the new jobs registered, according to the Federal Ministry of Commerce in its latest public statistics. “Value added products allow us to gain more Universal Standard Dollars, or in this case perhaps Quertz russling… for the output of our businesses…. Which is good, and is the primary reason I have long been known as an outspoken proponent of our predecessor governments’ consistent policies of value added solutions over labour intensive primary export.” Meanwhile, Yohannes First Loseton Peters, a guest at the panel and speaking from Te Whanganui a Tara through Q+A video, interjected with the claim that ‘this deal will only generate value added solutions for a foreign nation, and not us… what do we gain from this… jobs? Foreign currencies coming into the productive sectors of our economy?”

“Imperial [party], this government, is completely out of touch with Adolf the plumber, and Heidi the waitress.”

“… and needs to be voted out in 2018. Yohannes First believes that we must reclaim our sovereignty, and renegotiate many of our historically ratified agreements with various other nations abroad.” Asked to name the ‘various other nations abroad’, “… or offenders… as you might call them, Mr Peters”, by Samantha Owens, presenter of The Nation and one of the four panellists, the leader of Yohannes First and 2012 newly elected representative of the Eastland constituents, quickly interjected; “Wait here… I am sorry, but the offenders cannot be pinpointed… as we do not believe in discriminating…”

“… just answer the question, Mr Peters.”

“I see where we are going here, and you know fully well that… I am not going to go there; in Yohannes First we do not discriminate against foreign nations or foreigners… or immigrants. They are free to come to Yohannes, so long as they contribute… and do not oppress females, bring their disrespectful customs and cultural baggage to which we do not…”

“Oppress… females…? Are you trying to suggest that we should not accept people, or trading relations with governments, of people of a certain faith…? Mr Peters.”

“Owens, it’s not about they or us. It’s about preserving the Yohannes in Yohannes as First. Our culture, the things our ancestors fought for in the past, our freedom of…”

“Mr Peters, just answer my original question. It is an easy question, surely?”

Five of the nineteen countries have supported Tekeristan imports by allowing minor subsidies for some of its largest exporters, in return for the same preferential treatment designated towards Yohannesian shipbuilding firms in the future. “The Kingdom of Alexandria is set to gain the most of such a policy... considering the size of our civilian shipbuilding industry, and the projected increasing number of Tekeristan’s merchant fleets as it industrialise further in five to seven years’ time”, said Alexander Doherty-Williams, President of the Te Whanganui a Tara Chamber of Commerce.”

“There are further temporary benefits, such as favoured tax of 12.5% for the next five years to name one of the most highlighted by our past negotiators.”

Hard timber is exceptionally rare from Tekeristan, due to the nation's heavy use of hemp-based materials and stringent regulations on logging. As some of the nineteen countries’ most conspicuous consumers of luxurious goods – amongst them the likes of Chief Executive of Halstenmetall AG Rob Whyte and Member of parliament for the Ansell electorate and the Fourth Earl of Neeland, Thomas Whatakiri, both rumoured to be worth more than $1.8 billion between them – absorbed these newfound imports of high standing, middle Yohannes consumers and businesses absorbed their less expensive, but more abundant Tekeristan counterparts, LVL engineered and glued laminated timbers, to name but just two of the fastest increasing imports of Tekeristan origin registered in the nineteen countries since the agreement.
