Ajax
Ajax's plan had worked as he had hoped. Civilians started flooding into the large home seeking saftey. He organized them the best he could, but soon he started to get some unwanted attention. The aliens that called themselves Inquisitors started to surround the building. Their greenery weapons firing at the house. The refugees began to panic, and Ajax yelled for them to keep calm. He grabbed his sword and throwing knives and rushed outside, putting a few of the refugees in charge of the others.

The situation looked grim, he didn't know if he could protect the house from the large force of inquisitors that were coming towards him. Just then, he saw two costume clad woman flying towards the house. They were both very beautiful, though one of them looked a few years older than him and the other seemed to be his age. The two landed and the older brunette was the one who ended up talking to him. "Well thanks, just figured I could help people. But ya I could really use you're help... whoever you are." She then introduced herself as Stormlight, or Elena, before turning and shooting some kind of forcefield energy at the enemy ships. Ajax was in awe. These must have been some of those people with powers. He was starting to feel that he was out of his league here.

Then she told him to keep the inquisitors off her and he was thinking about how he could do that when the girl his age spoke up. She had flowing black hair and was really very pretty. Ajax found his throat tightening a little, as he brushed some hair out of his face nervously. "Uh hu, I'm Ajax. So Gravitron, that like a nickname then?" He asked her a little awkwardly before turning to see a few inquisitors charging at them. He took three throwing knives in his hand and threw them at high speed/ Two hit their targets, while the third missed. Ajax then charged the third with his sword. The alien tried to slam his gun against Ajax but the teen blocked it with his sword. He parried and then stabbed his sword right through the alien's gut. It squealed before falling to the ground dead. He pulled its sword and wiped it off on the ground before turning back to Lorn. "So... do you have cool powers like Elena? They could certainly come in handy right now."

Jamie observed, with much disappointment, as the beam she had shot forth from her arm cannon was deflected by nothing more and nothing less than a pitiful gust of wind. She frowned, looking down at her arm, the armor that had formed around it now falling apart and landing on the ground in several pieces which the android stared at for several seconds. "I am so going to stop buying Metroid games after this." She practically hissed, before being bonked in the head by a flying piece of debris from the building that her deflected beam had struck. After that, the girl began muttering a string of curses under her breath, though she stopped herself as she saw the Weather-Man creating a black, thundering cloud above him. That, more than anything the villain had done before, put her on high alert. Sadly, despite all of her power, electricity was one of her weaknesses, and though it was unlikely that the Weather-Man knew that, a single bolt could likely put her in an unfavorable situation.

When one bolt of lightning shot off towards her, the girl known as Final Boss prepared to dodge, but she was knocked out of the way before she could do so. Grumbling, she was about to tell whoever had done it that she could take care of herself, but when she noticed that it had been Roy, she relented and simply muttered a soft 'thanks' under her breath, before listening to him. She nodded as he asked her if she could send the lightning back, but by then he was already away trying to get the other person to safety. Looking back up, she scratched her head a little. Though she was swift to agree to his plan, she didn't really think it through. How was she going to send back the lightning? Without touching it, at that, since it was dangerous for her. She had several ideas, but eventually, she settled for the one that was the flashiest, and pulled a sword out of thin air.

"Have you ever played Dead Man's Volley, cloudy man?" She shouted at the Weather-Man, who looked down at her with amusement.

"I don't have the foggiest idea of what that is, but if it's anything like your last attack, this will be a breeze!" The supervillain cackled, causing Jamie to frown. But when another bolt of lightning shot towards her, the android grinned and seized the opportunity, swinging her sword at just the right moment to send back the bolt. However, the Weather-Man simply flew to the side in order to dodge it.

"You mist!" He chuckled. But Jamie didn't let up, running all across the battlefield and reflecting the bolts of lightning with the Master Sword until eventually the Weather-Man was unable to dodge anymore, and had to reflect it with his powers instead.

"That's more like it!" The Final Boss shouted as she swung her sword at the lightning once again, magically deflecting it. The Weather-Man frowned as he was forced to send it back once again, being locked in what was essentially a game of ping pong with a deadly thunderbolt as the ball. With Jamie energetically swinging her sword left and right like an oversized baseball bat, the villain had to deflect the bolt of lightning constantly, until his focus finally faltered due to his frustration. The bolt struck him, causing much damage, but whereas a normal human would've been fried, the Weather-Man was still more than capable of fighting.

"To hail with you! I'll give this city a nice drizzle one way or another!" He shouted, raising one hand, causing the storm cloud above him to become even more electrically charged, releasing thunderbolts far more frequently. At the same time, with his other hand, he made an abrupt motion, and the giant wave that Jason had deflected earlier began to come back, weaker, but still menacing.

"Uh oh. Someone's pissed off." Jamie mumbled to herself. Just then, she noticed someone else arriving to the scene. A young man with a white mohawk, calling himself Tempest and seemingly using the wind to fly. The name sounded vaguely familiar, as the android had scanned most of the internet several times, and as she looked for references to him in the vast database that was her head, she realized who he was.

"Tempest, yes, perfect!" She said, pointing to the Weather Man. "Just try to use his lightning against him, that seems to work. A friend of mine has a plan, but I don't know what it is yet. I'll be over there, trying to avoid getting us all drowned. Good luck!" The Final Boss spoke hastily to Tempest, before running off and scaling the wall of a building close to the coast in record time, narrowly dodging a few bolts of lightning on the way there.

"Now, what do I do..." The heroine wondered to herself, eventually settling on an idea. Focusing, she adopted the traits of a fictional entity, her skin taking on a very pale color while her hair turned white. "I didn't grow any weird parts. Good. I hate turning into nonhuman things." She thought, before looking towards the approaching tidal wave and sending a massive blast of wind to drive it back.

"Weather vs Weather," Tempest said, smiling as he commanded the wind to carry him towards the Weather Man, "This is gonna be fun! Hey, you aren't one of those that does puns based on your power are you?"

The Weather Man glared at the young Weather Wizard, hating how cocky the young hero seemed to be. Tempest raised his hands, fists forming as he reached out to the storms created by the Weather Man, who was shocked as he felt the pull of the young man. The two strained, each trying to pull control of the storms from the other, focused on taking the power of the skies.

"Man, you just need to give up," Tempest taunted through gritted teeth, "I got the power of the gods!"

The Weather Man's eyes opened wide, the surprise evident as he felt himself lose his grip on much of the storm. Unable to regain control of what he lost, he decided instead to strengthen his grip on what he still controlled.

"That was shocking." he muttered, a smirk on his face.
"You did NOT just say that..." Tempest spat, not wanting to believe that he actually heard that pun, "Please, for the love of the gods, tell me you did NOT just say that!"

Tempest's storms grew stronger and more violent as he glared at the Weather Man. After a few moments of staring into each other's eyes, Tempest punched towards the Weather Man, drawing the lightning from the clouds. Streaks upon streaks of the lightning created by the Weather Man raced through the sky towards him. He was only able to redirect so many before being struck again and again.

Just when she was done speaking to the clawed lady who had arrived next to the Dragon Knight, the princess of Diluvia heard a familiar voice calling out to her from above. Puzzled, Etla glanced up, and a look of recognition was visible in her face as she spotted a redhead peeking out of the broken window of the hotel suite inside of which she had been lying prior to the arrival of the Inquisitors. Seeing her there and hearing the question that she shouted out, the blonde girl paused for a moment, pondering the situation. On the one hand, after the announcement made by the head Inquisitor at the start of the invasion, the guards that her father had left to keep watch over them had probably barricaded the building and were working on protecting it, making the hotel a relatively safe place for the time being. On the other hand, though, there was only so much that guards could do, even if they were the Royal Guard of Diluvia, and if she wasn't personally there then she would constantly worry about her sister. Plus, there were powerful metahumans down there as well.

In the end, Etla decided that it was probably safer to have her sister down there with her than to leave her in the hotel room, and it was her duty, not as a princess but as an elder sister, to watch over her. With this in mind, she looked up to the window once more. "Ihra! Come down and help us out please!" The princess of Diluvia shouted at her sister. "Just jump and I'll make sure you land safely!" She stated, the symbol of the Wind Crest present in the back of her left hand already beginning to glow with green light as she manipulated the air to make it safe for Ihra to jump down. As she did this, she also turned to the others with a bit of an awkward smile.

"Ah, that girl is my younger sister, Ihra Aeolus. Please be nice to her, everyone." Etla said politely.

Ihra felt she didn't need her sister's help getting down, and so decided to devise a method of getting downwards herself. "Don't worry sis! I got this!" Ihra shouted, jumping from the window and then quickly she used the water molecules in the air to form a slide downwards under her feet, freezing it in place, the royal sister skating downwards from their hotel room to the ground. Though as she exited this sliding she almost tripped, somewhat loosing her balance as she spent a few second regaining her footing. She had not practiced with that often and had wished to try it out. Then she looked at the group before her, some of which seemed to be aliens of some sort or another. She paused nervously. "Um... Hello." She spoke. She attempted a smile, though it was a bit nervous looking. "My name is Ihra."

Aegis just stood there. "It's Agent Spider! I'm not some boy. I'm 19!" he shouted after her. "And I'm sorry I crashed into you!" Then he jumped onto a fighter that was still in the air, took out the pilot, and entered the pilot's seat. "Now what makes you tick," he said curiously as he cracked his fingers. Aegis started messing with a couple of the buttons "Maybe this?" That made the fighter stop. He pressed another button and it started firing. A car blew up in the distance. "Whoops, my bad." Then he found the button that made it go and smirked. Agent Spider flew to the rift to find several other heroes at the rift trying to close it.

I am just normal human and too old for this, therefore I'm getting out of the zoo and into the evacuation," said Alex, sadly. This is not a good moment in his life, but what is good anyway? In any case, he nodded once again to Jonathan, "Sorry, but it's been a good run," as Alex went to the evacuation place outside the zoo, pretending to be an elder who got lost.

Jothan tought of leaving too since his original plan was to escape the zoo, but decided againgst it since he had already come that far and that he had a tranquilizer gun to use on the animals. Jonathan headed to were the other metahumans were to help them with the evacuation of civilians; when Jonathan got there he saw two men fighting a mutated lion, one of them using tentacles to hold the animal down but it appeared that the lion was trying to break out and those tentacles looked like they werent going to last long. Jonatan decided to use the tranquilizer gun he found pointing the rifle at the lion and fired the dart at one of the legs that were inmovilized by the tentacles, hitting him, Jonathan loaded another dart and got closer to the two men, with the rifle still pointing to the lion in case it needed to be shot another dart to be inmovilized.

Andre put on quite a fight with the tentacles, but he still got himself thrown by the massive lion. Beside him was the other man, now armed by nothing but a knife. Well he can just use smaller guns, a brave man indeed. Andre retracted his tentacles, with two of them severely injured by the claws. He tried to heal it for a minute, but the lion needed constant attention from both of them, so Andre can only regenerate so much. " Frankly my friend, I got no idea to put this big kitty back to sleep. Can you grab a tranquilizer gun while I'm holding him up? Maybe they stored it somewhere nearby." Andre was bathing in his own blood as the blades met the claws. He tried his best, but he is already tired down when he fought the wolves and the lemmings. Ah, he got an idea now. Just when the lion threw him aside and put its attention on Valancy, Andre tried his best to stand up and spitted acid right into the lion's face. "You like it? Come here! I got more for you!"

Just in time, another person arrived and shot the lion with tranquilizer gun. Andre wasn't sure, but he prayed that the shot would do something to the lion.

He asked, before looking back at Jonathan "Names Cedric, but the news and documents call me Valiant'"

Andre looked at Cedric suspiciously, the lion was a bit dazed, and gave them a moment to coming up with a new plan and a quick introduction. "In this condition? Ten minutes if I'm lucky, not a minute if it suddenly has a new power that can overwhelmed all of us." Andre looked at the new comer. "I'm Andre by the way, you might know me as the Flesh. Well, your plan better works Cedric, or else we all gonna die. Wish me luck."

Andre lunged himself at the dazed lion, all six of his limbs tangled and disarmed the beast. Every movements it made only made Flesh hold it even stronger. The blades hooked themselves to the now powerless lion, only able to wriggle itself slowly and weakly. "Anytime now, Cedric!"

Jason shook his head what after clobbered by what felt like a truck. The Weather-man was smart, hitting him in the head. Or at least he got a lucky shot. Either way his powers weren't working the way he hoped, but the good news was that several other heroes had arrived to deal with him. Michelle was gone, but from the looks of the tornado in the distance, he decided it was probably for the best that she stop that. It was hard to hear what they were saying, but something about hitting him with his own lightning was what he was able to make out. Given how much water he was laying in, it was probably for the best that he get as far away from there as possible. His powers weren't going to work at full capacity until his minor concussion wore off, and getting struck by lightning wasn't something he wanted to experience. With what remaining strength he could muster, he floated about ten feet into the air and away from the fight until he reached a goof 200 feet away and then dropped like a stone. "I really hope Michelle is having a better time than I am..." He muttered.

Better is, of course, a relative term. She watched the massive funnel cloud get closer and closer to the ground and her mind raced, trying to find a way to stop it. Well, there was one idea she was... Mostly certain would work. All that useless information she had finally came into use! Tornadoes in the northern hemisphere rotate counter clockwise. So all she had to do was run clockwise at the base! The base of a black, swirling, death cloud. Simple! Albeit completely terrifying. Nevertheless, she was a superhero and that meant she had to stop the tornado regardless of how much she was scared. Michelle took a deep breath before charging head first and running against the wind of the tornado. It was loud. She knew tornadoes were loud but she never heard one this close before. Michelle ran against the wind, faster, and faster, the hundred of laps she made in just a few seconds were starting to work.

The tornado's power began to wane the more she ran. She was starting to get dizzy. It wasn't the immense amount of G-forces that bothered her. She barely even noticed them, but the fact that she was running in circles against a tornado was making her head spin. It was like riding the teacups at an amusement part at 500RPM. The only reason she hadn't thrown up yet was because she hadn't eaten in a good 6 hours. For what felt like 20 minutes, she ran until she no longer saw the massive cloud, and then stopped, started dry heaving and slumping on the nearest bench. "You... Better watchur back. As soon as everything stops spinning I'm gonna... Hopefully not throw up..."

Mars
Mars listened to Cass introduce the three young heroes. He was glad to hear they were on this side. This was the exact kind of crew they needed. Maybe they could turn things around after all. He then gave a small smile at Cass' question about Tara. "She's not exactly from around this solar system. But she has been friendly and is on our side I assure you." He told Cass, before turning to Craig and his ambush of questions.

He seemed starstruck by Mars' armor, which couldn't help but make the 22 year old smile. Mars had an eidetic memory so he had no trouble remembering all the questions and answered them in order. "The alloy is a synthetic mixture of titanium and steel that I managed to melt and fuse together. As for the molding, I have machines for that. I built them myself. I am not a metal manipulator sadly, that would make things much easier really. Yes, the shield is made of different independently controlled plates that can move on their own accord, which comes in handy quite a bit. And the plasma is self contained in energy chamber that runs the length of the sword. The plasma is constantly being forced to collide back and forth, which forces it to keep itself in check. Also inside my suit their is an internal regulating system that monitors the level of output and shuts it down if the check system fails. And as for the power, well I made my own miniaturized fusion reactor that powers my suit. I hope to one day scale it, so that we can provide clean energy to the whole world." He told the eager boy. "Don't worry, we'll talk more later if you'd like Craig." He said with a smile.

Just as he finished answering the barrage of questions he heard a familiar voice and broke into a wide smile. "Hello dear, sorry, forgot how fast I can be in this thing." He told Dragon Mage before turning to Etla. "Well, I would like to hear Craig's plan. But as for the leader, I think I have a plan of my own. These creatures must have a way of communicating with their leading. Some kind of spell or magical technology. We capture one of the inquisitors, find out how their communicating, and use that to track their commander." He said, waiting to see what people's thoughts would be on the matter.

Brain

After he felt the Rift weaken for a moment He opened his eyes and smiled. However when he saw the Rift was still up a grimace appeared on his face. He tried to muster up his power again when he noticed something before his face paled and he fell unconscious. He was falling, messing with the Rift took more energy than he had thought. He still had a slight shield around him, but it may not be strong enough to stand the impact of him hurtling towards the ground.

Aegis flew the righter to the rift and noticed it was unstable. "Could someone have been trying to close it?" he asked himself. "It looks like it. Maybe I should go through? Then again, I don't want to get stuck on the other side." He started circling the rift until he noticed several other heroes near the rift and flew towards them. Aegis stopped the fighter near them and opened up the fighter. "Hello!" he said. "You guys trying to close the rift? Perhaps this fighter can help." He lightly tapped the fighter he was in.

"Staycation"
Kiera Ambrose - Kiera/Daniel's apartment, Port City
Noon

Daniel's door knob turned around slowly, ignoring the fact that the door was locked.

Oh wait- it WAS locked, but for some strange reason, the key had turned to the side, unlocking the door, and thus allowing the invisible force to turn the knob, and open the door. Kiera stepped inside the room, immediately being buffeted with the stench of Daniel smoking some strange plant, and the sound of controller thumb sticks flicking as he played some first person shooter game in the background.

"How'd you get in?" He yawned, still playing the game in the background. He switched over to his keyboard, typing up something. His fingers sounded like machine gun fire on the keys, and were a blur to Kiera.

"I got myself in." She said, sitting on what appeared to be a couch, covered up by all the mess. "What's up?"

"Nothing much." Dan said. "Finishing work on- I mean, just sitting around, as usual."

"Oh, working, I see?" Kiera grinned. "Whatcha working on?"

"None of your business." He replied. Kiera thought otherwise, and moved Dan's leg to the left with her powers. "Then what's that?"

The color drained from Dan's face as he kicked the large white object back underneath his bed, hiding it from her eyes. "Again, it's nothing... Nothing at all.." He laughed uneasily. "Nothing to see there."

Kiera just stood there, smiling.

"Why are you still here, Vec- oh, uh, I mean, Kiera?" He laughed uneasily, propping himself up on his mess of a bed.

"Your dad's giving me the week off. Told me to go on a vacation. I'm thinking either Pandora City or the beach, but I don't know any good beaches in Port City, and what's been happening in Pandora in the news.."

"Oh, uh.. A Staycation.. In Port City..." Dan muttered.

"Come on! There's lots of stuff to do here in Port City!" Kiera replied. Plus, all you do is sit around all day on that game! You'll end up like a potato if you do that!"

Daniel only stretched tiredly, yawning as he did so. This prompted Kiera to lift Daniel out of his bed rather forcefully, not with her powers, to be safe. She grabbed hold of his hands, tugging him out of bed with more than enough strength to send him doubling over and tumbling to the floor. "Alright... Just let me get my stuff." Daniel grumbled.

"Yay!" Kiera cheered. "Oh, one last thing." She took out her phone, opened and app, and shoved it into Daniel's face. "What exactly are you trying to show me?" He raised an eyebrow.

"An app! It's called Capestagram! It's a new app, and all the new superheroes use it!" She read off its information. "Capestagram- The social network for superheroes! Looking for a fellow superpowered partner? Want to keep your fans up to date? Join Capestagram, the world's first superhero social media site where you can reveal your secret identity and hook up with fellow metahumans! It's completely free of charge to-"

"I think I'd rather keep my identify secret, if I was a superhero." Daniel said.

"Cmon, I don't think the site would mind if you made a superhero account to be my friend, just for fun." Kiera said, guiding Daniel's palm over to his computer. Daniel grumbled something under his breath and sat up in his chair, logging onto the website. "Pfft. Capestagram." He scoffed. "What kind of name is that, what is this, tryna rip off of, what, Capesbook? Mycapes? Capestlr?"

"Nah. Just make your account! Nobody will notice!" She Insisted. Daniel diverted his monitor away from Kiera as he typed in his information, making up his fake superhero alias and filling in all the credentials. "They keep asking if I'm a robot- are you offended by that?" He asked.

"Nah, just do the puzzles. They're fun." Kiera said. Daniel loudly clicked on his mouse, and closed his laptop. "Done." He grunted, standing up as he pulled on something nicer to wear. "Alright. Let's just go and get this over with."

"It says that you gotta make a video showcasing your powers." Kiera said. "But, I don't think it's required." She paused, to think. "Come to think of it, I don't think I made my video.." She mumbled. "Wait! I know! After eating, we can make my video! Together! You can be the camera guy and stuff! It'll be fun!"

"Yeah. It will." Daniel said nonchalantly, opening the door and taking his keys from a small bowl by the front door.

"I hear there's a nice pizza place by the water.. Has some nice sausage pizza." She smiled.

Daniel gagged audibly, as if he was about to vomit.

A few hours later

"Hi!" Kiera waved into the camera. "My name is Kiera Ambrose, also known as Vector. I'm 17, living in Port City, and, well, as my name can tell, my powers revolve around physics."

Dan began to laugh, at the tennis ball that was rising up besides Vector's hip. "Let's begin, shall we? Oh, by the way, that's my friend Daniel on the camera. Say hi!"

Daniel awkwardly turned the camera around and waved to it. "Yo."

"Ok, uh.. First all.. Daniel, would you throw a tennis ball at me?" Kiera's back was facing the camera.

"Well.. Ok.." Daniel picked up one of the tennis balls from the Arsenal of items Kiera had collected, and proceeded to toss it to her, accidentally hitting her on the back of he head. "Ow!" She yelped, picking the ball up and flinging it towards Daniel's direction. "Stop." He smiled, chuckling.

"Sorry about that. Throw it again."

Dan picked up another ball, and tossed it towards Kiera this time. Instead, seemingly, the ball instantly changed direction upon hitting a certain radius around Kiera, despite her looking away. The ball harmlessly changed direction and flew off, at the same speed and force of which it was thrown, where it hit the ground, softly. "Did you see that?" Kiera asked. "I completed an equation in my head- an equation, to see how hard and how fast I was going to redirect the ball, and how fast the redirecting ball was going. All in my head. I made it change direction perfectly, despite looking away. That's my vector manipulation, my most powerful ability. Moving on."

Dan slid forward a car door, propping it up against a brick wall. Kiera picked up a coin, flipping it in her hand. "My next trick- er, power, is my velocity manipulation power. Now, I'm capable of changing the speed of an object, even to the point of where it stops, or changes direction. But I'm not gonna do that, because it's boring to see me slow down a missile to stopping, and redirect it back at the launcher."

"That's pretty cool, though." Daniel said. "Why do you got the coin?"

"Instead, I'm going to give this coin an absolute constant velocity, making it move at the same speed regardless of the force acting on it. I'll also change its ballistics, making it seem as if it were a wrecking ball hitting these objects. In regular terms- I'll make a slow moving coin punch through through a brick wall at a constant speed, with the force of a wrecking ball. Let's see what happens."

Kiera took the coin, showing it to the camera, and lightly tossed it over towards the brick wall, and car door. The coin lightly floated towards the wall, and upon contact with the car door and the brick wall, punched a hole through both barriers effortlessly, before falling to the floor, lightly.

"Well." Dan said.

"And, I think that's it. My energy manipulation powers are basically the same as everyone else, but I cannot create or destroy energy, only manipulate it or transfer it from one body to another. I also have impact manipulation and some other Physics-based powers, but I can't really control them as well." Kiera motioned for Dan to to stop the video, but not before giving an outro. "Well, it's been a great time, and I hope to meet you all later! Bye for now!"

The video stopped, and Dan moved away from the camera, smiling. "So, how do you think I did?"

"Fantastic." Daniel said. "You looked great- uh, I mean, you did great." He laughed nervously. "Uh, sorry I sort of.. Hit you in the head with the, uh, tennis ball."

"It's alright." Kiera smiled. "And uploade- wait, what's this?"

Daniel moved over to Kiera's phone, looking at the blinking friend request icon. Kiera tapped the icon, pointing at the icon of an unknown someone. "Dan? Who's this?"

Once Dan looked over the profile of the new guy, the color drained from his face again. "Uhh.. No... I don't know who this guy is. Definitely."

"Really?" Kiera asked. "Cause, the name 'Silver Knight' seems familiar, real familiar. Something nerdy- like something you'd like."

"If you seriously think I'd name myself Silver Knight," Dan began. "Then you're seriously mistaken."

"Huh." Kiera placed a hand on her chin. "Odd. Very odd indeed."

Daniel just sighed. "Can we go home how?"

Continuing to dodge any fire incoming to her and knocking out any important components from fighters as they passed by Veronica was aghast at the sheer number of fighters. Continuing to navigate through crumbling structures and other projectiles. Flying closer and closer to where there was a higher concentration of fighters and other such aliens Veronica looked ahead small figures flying to a rift in the sky. Heading to the falling figure Veronica had the intention of catching it before seeing Aegis pop his stupid pajama'd hood from an alien fighter. Still mad at him Veronica still went to where he was and flew faster to try to catch up to him.

Jasmine Crockerthy
Washington D.C.
Mid-Air

Jasmine watched as Rei and the alien traded blows back and forth, Rei's guns spitting hellfire and hate at the alien before she came in close to beat it down. As she watched the battle, impotent, Jasmine tried to figure out how he was fighting. It seemed...odd. He appeared to be trying to take the momentum, to tire Rei out. A small smile, or a grimace which was meant to be a smile, touched on Jasmine's lips at the thought. He wasn't going to win like that. Not without a lot more stamina than he was already showing.

"Yeah." She replied almost casually to Rei as the other girl skidded to a stop next to her, "We can-"

She was interrupted by the alien grabbing Rei and pulling her close, before being rapidly beaten back by the girl. As Rei sparred with the alien, Jasmine pulled herself to her feet, her body beginning to pull itself into some semblance of solidity. Reaching out her hands, she felt for anything she could manipulate. And all around her, she felt things ready to listen to her if she only spoke to them in the right voice.

"Wrath." She said, in a voice entwined with millions of sibilant whispers.

All around her, the hexes stopped their wanton descent on the city. For a moment, Jasmine's mind struggled to implant the image she needed so strongly in so many minds. But then, after a struggle which lasted less than a second, the floodgates burst and a tide of aliens converged on their hex, drowning their own leader under a swarm of writhing bodies. With a savage roar, the big one fought back, swiping his subordinates aside, but he was pinned, for now, and Jasmine made her way unsteadily to Rei, pain etched onto her face.

"Your kill...love." She said, her face contorted into a grimace of concentration.

She looked at the pinned Leader and grimaced, she slowly picked herself up and whipped a tendril to a hellgun, she stumbled over to the insect, giggling all the while, she stopped till she was in his face,
"I hope this teaches your race not to come back darling if not, then they had their chance." At that she shot the Leader in the gut then aimed at his face, she ignored the yells and pleas for mercy, she glanced at Jas and smiled and then shot the Leader's head off. She dropped the gun and walked back to Jas, she placed her hands on her shoulders,
"Okay love, I think you can deal with the rest. Also I'm about to pass out so if you can bring me to somewhere safe and dark I'll give you all of the snacks in my pack." At that her vision went black and she fell on her side.

The pained grimace remained on Jasmine's face as Rei made her way up to the alien, cries and roars drowning her mind as she focussed on keeping the temptations overwhelming in the minds of those nearby. Even the big one's eyes were beginning to cloud over with bloodlust as he writhed and struggled futilely against the living shackles which clawed at him, ploughing bloody furrows in his flesh even as the twin barks of Rei's weapons announced his demise. The headless corpse remained upright before disappearing under a wave of bodies.

With a visible sag, Jasmine released her hold on the aliens' minds with a sigh of relief. Above them, the portal glared unblinkingly down on them as the aliens extracted themselves from the tangle of limbs and blue blood, revealing the corpse of the their leader once more. A moment of hushed silence descended as Rei stumbled close to her, resting her hands on Jasmine's shoulders, and promptly passed out. Catching her, Jasmine laid her body down on the hex before looking up into the numb faces of the aliens surrounding her. Raising her arm grandly and searching for the last shreds of endurance she had in her, she brought the shadows below them to life one last time, a swarm of umbran insects each the size of a large dog which assailed the survivors. The occasional crunch told them when armour gave way to the yielding flesh below.

Half a dozen of the insects landed on the hex, blurring into a single figure which could have been an onyx statue of Jasmine, standing opposite her. For a moment the two shared a deep communion, before a pair of jet-black, feathered wings sprouted from the figure. Bending down, it picked Rei up tenderly and pulled her close before falling off of the hex and heading down to the city below. It would find her a safe, dark place to recover and Jasmine would visit her as soon as she was done up here. But there was one last problem to deal with up here.

Translucent wings glimmered in the light as the last of her torso solidified and a deeper hum joined the higher-pitched humming of her umbran swarm. Rising unsteadily into the air, Jasmine slowly rose until she could see the figure at the mouth of the portal. Making her way alongside him, she fell into position easily as her swarm formed a loose, protective sphere around them. Glancing across at him she pushed a hand into the portal, feeling the way it worked before nodding to herself and straightening.

"Do you have any idea of how to close this?" She asked tentatively, "Because I might be able to if you can't. Your call."

Port City Bank Heist

"Shit, man!" Michael slammed the doors to the minivan shut as it raced off with its lead SUV. almost immediately gaining chase from the PCPD. Sirens blaring, the blue and black and white police cars whined as they drifted around the narrow corners of downtown, following the minivan and the SUV as they rocketed towards the highway. Michael rolled the window down to the van and fired his AK-47 at the police, in an attempt to get them off their tail. "Don, I need help!" The lead SUV rammed straight through the police roadblock with its push bar, sending car after car flying out of the way as it led the way for the bank robbers. Michael dodged a few bullets that bounced harmlessly off the side of the minivan, but, still, those bullets would destroy the van's tires. Which is why Don came in.

Someone leaped from the top of the SUV over to the minivan, on fire. He landed on the top of the van, and, despite not burning it, was entirely encompassed in fire, ready to burn the trailing cop cars in half. "I got you, Mike." Don said, and, with a flash, sent a flaming disc buzzing over to the police car, slicing it clean in half. The police cars suddenly pulled away as the robber cars entered the open highway, leaving nobody left to pursue them.

"Man, I love being a supervillain." Don said, in an almost cliche style. Michael nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I- I think we lost them!" Michael said, cheering! "Yeah! I can finally pay for college! Take that pigs, you capitalist sons of bi-"

Something fell from the heavens, slamming into the top of the lead SUV. In an instant the SUV was propelled into the air by a blue explosion- and something silver flew above them, making what appeared to be jet noises as it preformed a loop for another run.

"Oh sh- Are the cops sending attack helicopters?! What the fuck is that?!" Michael asked, staring at the humanoid robot descending upon them. "No. This aint no attack helicopter. This some new hero." Don said seriously, staring at the face of the pilot assisted robot currently trailing them. "Hold the car here, I'll hold him off."

"You sure?" Michael asked. The driver swerved to the side of the road, allowing Don to leap off and land on the ground. Palms on fire, Don cracked his neck, smashing his fists together. "You want to go, huh, boy? What's your name?"

"That's not important." A Distorted, deep metallic voice came from the mech. "What is important, is that you took something from these people - I'm here to take it back."

"Well guess what, Robin Hood? The Don's gonna melt your sorry ass mech to the ground! Lets go, bitch!"

Don's eyes widened as he saw the mech's arm extend, and slap him towards the wall of the highway. Leaving behind a small crack in the cement, Don got up, groaning, and crackled his hands once more as he launched a fireball at the mecha's arm. Instead of normally watching the ball slowly heat up the arm and melt it away, he saw a black mass appear on the impact site of the fireball, which seemingly absorbed the flaming ball of death before it could do any damage. Don just stood, watching this, mouth agape. "What the fuck?"

"My turn." The voice said. Don whimpered for mercy as he saw the massive two-handed weapon materialize in the mech's hands. Engraved on the sides were the letters, spelling out the name of the weapon: XRGS-50L Railgun. "Prepare to taste the Xargs's stun round."

"The what?" Don asked.

"This."

In a blue-white flash, Don flew several feet in the air before slamming onto the ground, totally knocked out. He did slid a few feet along the asphalt and did yell for them to "Run", but for the most part, he was dead.

"Oh shit- RUN!" Michael yelled, slamming on the side of the van as he leaped in. The tires screeched and the van bolted like a racecar, quickly nearing its top speed as it sped along the highway. The big robotic suit was following them, however, first breaking into a trot, and then into a rocket-powered sprint. Its jetpack flared up as its feet lifted off the ground, propelling it at high speeds towards the van. Michael screamed out loud and unloaded his AK47 on the incoming mecha- the bullets pinging off of the Pilot assisted robot's armor harmlessly, just like the van. Some long, sharp object materialized in its hands, and in one swipe, the roof of the van was gone. It hovered over the van, plucking a few folks out of it and flinging them to the air, but for some reason left Michael unharmed.

"Shit! What the fuck is that?!" Michael screamed. The van suddenly slowed down to a halt, the alarms still chirping silently about "no seatbelts" or some shit like that. For the first time in forever, Michael felt alone.

He saw the mecha land on the ground, unpolarizing its helmet visor as it placed the KO'd criminals and bank robbers by the side of the road, in a neat, sleepy line. Enraged, Michael kicked the rear doors of the van open, bringing up a large metal object covered up by a cloth- a minigun. He placed his hands on the triggers, spinning the weapon's barrel up as he aimed its sights downrange at the silver mecha. "Hey you!"

Its visor polarized back, concealing his face, as it turned to face the van, unarmed. "Uhh... Eat this, you thing..!" Michael squeezed the trigger, sending a BRRRRRT of bullets over towards the pilot assisted robot. Instead of the bullets pinging off the robot like usual, a semi-transparent shield of heat surrounded the mecha as it came towards the van, destroying most of the rounds, on contact. Despite all the BRRT, Michael couldn't even manage to hit this thing, with round after round. Empty bullet casings fell to the floor as he fired, and he could feel the searing heat of the shield absorbing the rounds come closer as the robot extended his arm towards him.

Well damn
Kiera Ambrose/Vector - Port City Bank, Downtown Port City
Midnight

"Wait, what?"

The light bar on top of the SWAT Van was still flashing when Vector landed softly by the marble bank steps, Police and reporters crowding the area alike. Despite being asked multiple times by reporters for an interview, she declined, instead, heading to the lead police officer, who was looking at the scene. "What happened?" She asked.

"Folks saw a silver blur in the sky- apparently it's a new guy." He scoffed. "Big ass robot dude came swooping in after the robbers and picked them off one by one at the bridge. Including that "Don" guy who's the fire one. Took them out like it was nothing."

"I want to meet this new guy. What's his name?" Kiera asked.

"He calls himself the Silver Knight. Lame name, I know."

"Yeah. Familiar. Hey- he's that guy who added me on Capestagram!" Kiera took out her phone, showing it to the officer by shoving the phone into her face. "He also commented on my status update- that was nice of him to tell off that creep."

"Huh. He has one of those, too?" The officer chuckled. "What's the new app these kids have nowadays? Capestagram? Huh! Tryna rip off Capesbook, I see!"

"Yeah, but it's nice." Kiera said. "Anyways, what were we talking about?"

"Silver Knight." The officer replied. "He just came in and swooped all the criminals, whooped them in less than a minute. If that wasn't enough, he made it all neat, and if rumor has it, he's gonna drop 'em off by the Bank so nobody will have to move."

Fingers pointed to the sky suddenly as the Silver Knight came in, hovering above the bank as it dropped the van,- and a bundle of surrendered criminals, to the front of the bank, who were instantly surrounded by police. Upon further inspection of the ban, the stolen gold bars and bags of money were visible, leading the police to believe that Silver Knight had single-handedly stopped the heist. He was approached by multiple people asking for a photo or an interview, and all declined. However, upon viewing Kiera, he stopped, frozen.

"Uhhh. Hi!" Kiera waved. "I'm Vector- and you probably know me from Capestagram. Nice to meet you, Silver Knight! Hope we can be good friends together." She held out her hand, in friendship. Silver Knight only reluctantly shook it. "Nice to, uh, meet you too, Kiera."

"How do you know my name?" Kiera cocked her head to the side. Promptly following this, Silver Knight's jetpack and rocket boots flared up. Kicking away the stray newspapers and police tape, Silver Knight took off, quickly accelerating away from the city center, only visible as a blue light.

"Odd." Kiera muttered.

The Door to Daniel's apartment opened, and Kiera entered, smelling in the fresh scent of flowers in her part, and the usual smell of feet, weed, and the hum of electronics in Daniel's. "I'm back!" She chimed, smiling. "Well, it was fun- I met a new superhero today. His name's Silver Knight, and he's super cool. He's got a cool suit and-"

The door swung open once more, and Daniel came in, panting. He seemed to be sweating, as if he had just come from a heavy workout. His shirt was drenched with sweat, and he seemed overly excited about something. "Phew!" He panted, wiping the sweat off his forehead. "Oh, hello, Vec- I mean, Kiera."

"Uhh.. you alright, Dan?" She asked. "Also, where were you? I thought you were asleep- were you running?"

"Er, yeah, I was out running." Daniel replied.

"Running, huh? At midnight? Exercising like this? You don't exercise, Daniel."

"Yeah, well, its a new thing for me." Daniel explained, placing his keys at the bowl by the door. "And, plus, what were you doing? Stopping a crime?"

"A big one. I'll tell you about it later." She said, deliberately collapsing into her friend's arms. "For now, I want to sleep. I'm tired."

"Me too." Daniel nodded in agreement. He looked down, sighing loudly seeing that Kiera was already asleep in his arms. "What, do you want me to sing you a bedtime song or something?" A few moments later, he just sighed, and gingerly picked her up from her slumped position, careful not to wake her up. He ferried her over to her bedroom, where he placed her down lightly on her bed, tucking her in, Daniel contemplated doing a little you know what, but, didn't want to be labeled as a creep to her. Instead, he only went over to the door, and, before he turned off the lights, looked at her.

"Goodnight, my little hero."

He closed the door behind himself, and slammed his foot into something accidentally, doubling over in pain. On the floor, he gave a sigh, and thought to himself- "Why the fuck am I doing this?"

Hell Chaser

Shadowwell wrote:Brain

After he felt the Rift weaken for a moment He opened his eyes and smiled. However when he saw the Rift was still up a grimace appeared on his face. He tried to muster up his power again when he noticed something before his face paled and he fell unconscious. He was falling, messing with the Rift took more energy than he had thought. He still had a slight shield around him, but it may not be strong enough to stand the impact of him hurtling towards the ground.
Hell Chaser stopped still: gathering her muster, but also seeing if Brain was actually going to be able to close the rift. With his skill, he might be able to. Brain grasped the dimensional powers that clasped the rift open, tried to collapse the rift swiftly. Unfortunately, the rift was only made weaker, rather than destroyed. It was an impressive display, but it was not enough. Instead, Brain was the one defeated. His power was harsh on his frail frame; ultimately, it wore his body down. Brain grew unconscious, falling with little to stop him. His telekinetic shield was a sturdy one, but it started to become visible as it struggled to maintain itself. The shield crackled and wavered in strength.

Chaser knew he wouldn't make the fall. Normally, she might have let him die, but she was often contradictory in nature. She felt some sort of flimsy duty to keep him alive. This was probably out of respect for their tentative alliance, maybe it was to keep alive her rival: a source of amusement in the dull cities. She propelled upward, her body seeming to lose it's normal form, as it became more akin to a piece of cloth flying upward at breakneck speeds. As soon as he was in grasping distance, she pulled herself back into a more normal form.

She grasped him in her arms, and landed swiftly upon a building.

At this moment, she had a delightful chance. In this unconscious state, the pathetic hero would be defenseless; unable to stop her from unmasking him. Unfortunately, she knew that with the rift being unstable, inquisitors would be likely to rush the gate. She decided to leave him on that building, making sure he was in a safe location. After this was over she would come back to unravel the mystery. He seemed to be quite unconscious, which is why she assumed that would be the best course of action.

She didn't expect that he would wake up soon.

She then propelled upward and slammed down into the ground, creating a crater, into the middle of 15 or so inquisitors. "Now let's get this over with," she grumbled quietly. She pulls out her signature twin blades and takes a fighter's stance. Three inquisitors attack her from behind. She moved to the side and slammed one of the inquisitors with her elbow. With one swift swoop, she sliced through two of them. As the first attacker turned over, she had already driven one of the sabres into his stomach.

"So close. really. I think you guys almost got me that time."

She swiftly removed the blade from him, and then twirled around to deliver a roundhouse kick to three of them. One of them attacked her directly. She dodged it quickly and then grasped his hand. With an exertion of force, she flipped him over and he slammed directly on his head.

"Hello, Ihra," said Craig kindly, smiling at Etla's sister. "It's good to meet you, I'm Craig." he said, introducing himself, and then everyone else. After quickly explaining the instances of the last few minutes, he turned to Mars again. "A miniaturized fusion reactor?!?" He nearly shrieked, before glancing furtively around and lowering his voice. "Wow, and uh, that would be great, to talk later. As for my plan, it's related to all the drones I have flying around the city. They're made of nanites that I can form into different constructs, and my idea was to dismantle a few and turn them into fighter planes to allow us to go airborne. They wouldn't have missiles though, my dad made me promise not to make them," he muttered at the end, grumbling a bit.

"But there's better news! For the Chief Inquisitor, I got a good look at him, and well, that's not important. The important thing is that the CCTV cameras also got a good look at him, and so, using my powers," Craig acting as he spoke, "I can go back into the bank's camera feed and rewind a few hours ago and take a picture of him. Then, creating a short program, I can search for him through the CCTVs...and...he's at the bonfire. He's in a circle with some of the other Inquisitors, chanting something. But there's a lot of them between us and him..."

Wanda "Lady Hawk"
"Wow, for a super secret tech company. They certainly have a lot of see through windows." Wanda whispered to herself jokingly. She was sitting on the roof of a parking garage, looking through a pair of binoculars at her target. She was almost two kilometers from the building, but for Wanda that wasn't a problem. If she had a clear line of she could see for miles. The target was the production facility for the world renowned company, "Future Inc". Shadow commander had informed her that they were planning on selling weapons designs to the Russian government, and their organization was to steal them for the US before that could happen.

Right now though Wanda was just doing recon work, which was far less exciting. However, not much could be exciting when you're sitting on the roof in the middle of no where in North Dakota. It wasn't a bad place to build a secret factory though, she had to give them that. Just then squawking could be heard from above, and Wanda smiled. It was her hawk, who she named "Nose-Dive", or just "Dive" for short. The hawk had light brown fur and soft green eyes, and squawked in a friendly matter. Wanda smiled and pet the bird on its neck.

"Hey girl, you get a good look at the building?" The bird chirped as if in agreement, flapping its wings excitedly. "Good, well I have all I need here. The security is tough, but nothing the team can't handle. Time to head home and spread the news. First though, let's see if we can't get a bite to eat eh?" She said, carrying her hawk on her shoulder as she made her way down the building, and towards the small town that was about a mile away.

Ajax
Ajax raised an eyebrow at the way Lorn was speaking. She almost didn't sound human. Then when she said "this world" it became clear that she probably wasn't human. "Well, ah okay. Nice to meet you Lorn." He told her, before adding playfully. "And I'll try not to be so confusing." He said with a smile. He then saw her smash an enemy that was sneaking up behind him with an energy blast. "Well Gravitron, ya I get the name." He said bemusedly.

He was glad when she complimented him, but darkened at her last comment. "No, they didn't." He said shortly, before tossing a throwing knife past Lorn, hitting a charging inquisitor right behind the eyes. "You should watch your back too. Even people with powers are vulnerable these days." He said before turning back to the fight to protect Valancy.

Mars
"Well, it seems like we're gathering quite the crew here. What you've described sounds menacing Craig. We need to deal with that quickly. Dragon Mage and I should lead the way however. No offense, but this is serious dangerous, and I don't want to have hurt kids on my Conscience."

Roy
Roy and Jason made it out of the water just in time as the newly arrived hero started firing the Weather Man's own lightening bolts back at him. Combining that with Jamie's redirecting of the water. Roy watched as the Weather-Man quite literally got cooked in his own storm. The electricity intensified as the Weather-Man shrieked and twitched uncontrollably before falling out of the sky. Roy raced over to catch him, making it just in time before laying his unconscious body on the ground. He was hurt, but alive.

Relieved that the crisis had now been avoided, Roy turned to the mysterious weather hero who had helped them. "Uh, hey you! Thanks for the help! Who are you exactly?" Roy called to him.
