Personality: Kasumi is not the best at socializing. As much as she wants to reach out to other people, she's introverted and rather awkward when it comes to actual conversations. This isn't helped by her constant worries over her sister's mental state, which takes up most of her thoughts--second only to the mental condition of her unofficial boyfriend, Soleil Rise. Kasumi is dedicated to helping the people she cares about--perhaps too dedicated, since it leaves little time for her to have a life of her own.

Bio: Kasumi and her twin, Hikari, were born to a fire mage and water mage who fell in love. At a young age, they discovered that they, too, held magical abilities, and began to train, Kasumi with their mother, the water mage, and Hikari with their father. As they grew older, however, they discovered that they also had an ability to manipulate air. Not knowing of any air mages in their family line, they began to theorize, and ended up suspecting that it was due to their parents' opposing elements, using the logic that since fire and water created steam, they might also end up creating air.

At least, that was Kasumi's theory. Hikari thought it was a stupid theory and said so.

That was when things went wrong. Kasumi, enraged that her sister had called her theory 'stupid', used her abilities to attack Hikari, who retaliated in kind. During the resulting chaos, their parents were killed, their mother incinerated by Hikari's flames and their father tragically drowned by Kasumi's tidal assault.

They spent the next several years living separately, having left each other, each blaming the other for their favored parent's death. Kasumi spent those years learning and studying, eventually finding herself at Mana Academy, having no idea that her sister had arrived at the very same place...

As of late, she's been expressing severe dissatisfaction with herself, which culminated in her completely changing her appearance after her attempt to seduce another student resulted in him mistaking her for someone else--and her nearly going along with the illusion.

She spent her time alternating between cycles of optimism and despair, trying to regain her hold over a life that was wildly spinning out of control, and eventually found herself at Mana Academy, having no idea that her sister had arrived at the very same place...

Eventually, she passed to Hikari, but being among the girl's other dolls corrupted her enchantment. She began to suck all the happiness from Hikari's mind, but eventually that happiness would give her power... and CHEESE!

Personality:
Once a shy boy that avoided fights, Henry's personality changed significantly since he entered the Academy. The Signas Incident, along with the battle against Lynefleur and against Solaine in Paris forced him to expose himself by taking a stand against his foes, developing a calmness that often helps him to analyze the situation better.

Rabbit's problem in Paris and Vladimir's death forced him to take a more aggressive stand, returning to Mana with another way of thinking: He would protect his beliefs and his friends using his new position, and no one would stop him from doing it now that he had the means, the resources and the position to do it.

Bio:
Born to Joachim Von Kressel and Anneliese Hohenzollern, Henry Wilhelm Aldrich Bartolomaüs Gerhold Vulkanstein Hohenzollern Von Kressel was the hope for the consolidation of the influence of the Great House of Von Kressel in Europe, and heir to the main branch of the family. However, destiny had a trick to play on the high hopes centered at the boy.

From a young age, Henry demonstrated a different behavior than the one usually shown by other members of his family: He was excessively shy, preferring the company of his books than of fellow nobles, eventually leading to his father's disappointment with his heir. As a last resort, he sent Henry to be an apprentice under his brother Vladimir, in a desperate attempt to save his lineage from being a "complete failure".

Growing distant from his parents, Henry was taught by Vladimir and Sarah extensively in the most different magical and non-magical subjects, giving him the base that he would need if he ever became a leader. However, every effort seemed to be useless, as Henry remained the quiet, reserved boy, who avoided conflicts at all costs.

When his formation ended, Henry was sent to Mana Academy, to know the world outside of the mansions he lived in. Again, destiny played another trick. The boy who worked hard to pass as just another student entered in a conflict that would be marked in the history of the Academy, and successfully survived through it. Once more, the attention was centered in the young Von Kressel.

At his second year in Mana Academy, his hopes of having a calm year were foiled by Lynefleur's attack at the Academy grounds. Once more, Henry stepped up, killing one of her lieutenants and successfully surviving through one more battle. The shy boy went away, giving place to a more secure and mature student who realized his achievements.

But as no good action goes unnoticed, the eyes of the family turned to Henry, their "rogue member" who seemed to fight through every challenge. When Henry finally survived through all of the battles he was through, Vladimir died, bestowing upon Henry the title of Lord, and placing Rabbit as his new protector. No longer he could avoid the participation of his family, no longer he could avoid the spotlight. But no longer he was afraid of them. With tensions brewing in Europe, Henry could, for the first time, exit the role of student and enter the role of a noble.

Personality/Bio:
Gentle, unassuming, and easily-frightened, Soleil is a sweet kid who suffers from a bit of social anxiety. He cares for others, but has a hard time coming close to anyone, due to his dark and mysterious past. There are plenty of rumors about this past of his, which include him being raised by ghosts in a strange, uninhabited forest. It's also supported by the fact that he's a bit of a wanderer-he likes nature, and he has a tendency to wander away from his group, if he sees something that fascinates him. However, when he enters a battle, his personality changes a bit. In a battle against any enemies, he becomes determined and calm, and can become intensely focused on a fight. However, once out of a fight, he oddly becomes his kind, anxious self again.

It turns out that his heritage is actually that of the ancient French clan, House Rise, one of historically-oppressive Dark Mages bent on ruling over the Mundanes. With his mother, Solaine, and his cousins, Saturninus and Celestine, now dead, Soleil is now the heir to his clan. Complications have arisen since he has declared that Elizabeth Tsukiyomi, one of his professors, is his adoptive mother, and so he is currently preparing to face his aunt Blanchefleur, the Head of House Rise, over the issue. In the meantime, he is also spending his time trying to reconcile his desire to be a Jaegar, in order to support Professor Ruta, with his desire to have a happy and peaceful life. Being a pure, selfless character, Soleil has proven he will go to desperate lengths to save the ones he loves, but there are concerns that specks of darkness may lie within his kind, gentle heart.

Soleil's primary ability is his power to create Mana-constructs, a skill he has honed since his early childhood. Due to both his vivid imagination, strong emotional presence, and excellent control over his Mana, he has shown a capability for creating creatures that are both extensions of his will and works of art. His fighting skills need some improvement, but he has generally begun to use his constructs as his weapons and shields as well, however they are useful to him. He does love all of his creations, however, and seems far more interested in creating them for the sake of beauty, rather than for the sake of fighting. Furthermore, as his emotions have become both more stable and complex, he has begun to develop his powers in other ways, though he trains mostly in secret so as to not spoil his work. Being small and light, he is very fast and capable of dodging his opponents pretty easily. However, his body is fragile, and only a couple of powerful attacks are needed to incapacitate him.

Likes: Nature, most animals, heights, dangerous places, sacred things and shrines, ghosts, peace and quiet, the flute, and the colors blue, white, purple, and green.

Dislikes: Loud noises, urban sprawls, crowds, the colors red, orange, yellow, and black, arguing, confrontations, being put on the spot by others.

Teaches: Basics of Magic

Personality:
An enigmatic person who only allows himself to be seen in a Rabbit mask, "Rabbit", as he is called, does not like to tell a whole lot about himself. He normally maintains a very gentle, cheerful persona around his students, and seems to carry an aura of light around him wherever he goes. His personality, way of speaking (calling the students "dear" and "sweetheart"), and his way of dressing (usually in kimonos) have even caused for many to consider him female. While he is male he will not usually reveal his gender outright, and is often amused by others' attempts to figure him out. His mystique lies in his subtle, elegant charm, which makes him easily approachable as a friend but also respectable as a teacher.

However, underneath this cheer is a web full of dark secrets and emotions. A lifetime of secret pain, violence, and abuse has caused him to hide most of his problems under his masks, both his literal one and his emotional one. In reality, he is severely depressed and chronically lonely, having lived for far longer than most people, and having been betrayed many times. His hard work as a teacher is somewhat fueled by his desire to overcome his depression, though many of his wounds are rather unmendable. He sees himself as irredeemable and wicked, chained to his darker instincts, and as a result often contemplates ending his life.

Yet, his interactions with his students and colleagues keep him alive. His deepest desire is to have a family, which he sees as at least partially-fulfilled at Mana. Hence he is extremely protective of those around him whom he loves. He is also deeply affectionate, though sometimes to the unfortunate point of allowing himself to be abused if it means he will be loved. On a daily basis, he acts as a "mother" to many of the students, who often come from abusive situations themselves, and also as a "counselor" to help his students along. His personality struggles to hold this helping, compassionate persona balanced with his violent, cold persona, though for now it seems his compassion wins more.

Bio:
Not much is known about "Rabbit", but they have dropped some hints about themself. They were born in a large, mountainous village, somewhere, and raised by the town shaman to perform magic. Most of the details after this are blurred, but the Academy does know that "Rabbit" eventually appeared as a student, was a brilliant student, and became a teacher at the Academy several years ago.

Likes: Their students, surprises, the night sky, pranks, romantic comedies (or laughing at them, at the very least), teaching, springtime, and any kind of music.

Dislikes: Students bullying each other, being seen without their mask, Michael Bay movies, most superhero movies, summer, and lazy people.

Bio: Alexander was born into an old and proud magical family and so it was no surprise when he inherited his parents' powers. This led to Alexander using whatever magic he could mainly in bids to grab his parents attention, such as setting a stray cat on fire. Alexander has been sent to Mana Academy to try and ingrain in him the responsibility he needs to exert when using magic, and also to keep his parents safe.

She grew up, dressed in the most expensive clothes and wearing the most expensive jewelry. She went to school in a private boarding institution, where at her tenth year, she discovered her powers over ice and it's corruption of fire, frostfire. Shortly after this, she also discovered her her shape shifting abilities and used it to bully others into giving her what she wanted. When this was discovered, she was expelled from the boarding school. When her parents found out why she was expelled, they were at first frightented for the future of their daughter's education, but despite it all, she dedicated herself to study. Not of normal subjects, like math of literacy, but of ice magic and shape shifting, dedicating herself to becoming more powerful. After four years of this, She was discovered by the Academy, and taken in, being promised a continuation of her education. Carmella accepted it, though her parents had a less then stellar opinion of her perusing the subject of magic. However, Carmella convinced them that this was the key to her future. They reluctantly allowed her to pack her clothes and most treasured possessions and leave for the academy, with the one stipulation being that she return to them upon her graduation.

Animals: Two fey-touched Dragonflies called Odar and Freya. As fey-touched animals, they are supernaturally intelligent, long-living and durable (well, at least for dragonflies). They might have minor further magical abilities. They share one soul.
Bio: Born in Crenshaw, Los Angeles, USA. Father works as Network Admin for a major bank while his mother manages a small pet shop. He was a rather good student in elementary school especially in art, music, math and sciences. It showed, that abstract thinking and pattern recognition were his strength.
3 years ago he and his parents made a trip to Vancouver in spring where he was first exposed to a park full of willows and learned that he reacted allergic to them. As he sneezed he summoned a very concentrated unnatural storm. Of course, the parents saw now connection between the storm out of the blue and the sneezing boy, but when they told Aidan's grandmother two weeks later, she reacted very concerned about the small anecdote from their vacation. She later returned with a few talismans and a few pollens to cause another (lesser) allergic reaction. She then revealed to the parents, that the son was magical (obviously, the talent had skipped a generation in their case).

Marlena reflected on herself, for a brief moment. Of course she made her decision based on the negative experience that had accumulated over the decades of her life. But how else should she find an answer to the question: What to do with her grandson Aidan, now that his magic talent had awoken?

She had taken out her small leather address book but had not dared to open it. She had not contacted Julien and Martha for over 20 years, when she had broken all contact with the other witches. Although the others were in their 60s now, too, she regarded the former Hippies still as blue eyes kids.

No, the path of sorcery was not the best interest for her grandson - Not when there were other options, like the school of elemental magic. Would this work for Aidan? Even though it was not Marlena's kind of sorcery, Aidan's magical accident had shown her a connection to the elemental forces of air. It seamed both ways were open to him, after all.

After calling Mana academy she had a talk with her son and his wife. "I don't know much of the reasons for what is 'wrong' with Aidan. It's certainly not a gift of Satan, nor a blessing of Gaia, whoever that is. But I know the consequences. I know what it feels like to be there and that it won't go away from ignoring it."
Marlena looked mostly at her daughter in law. Even if she had never spoken with her son about her gift, she knew, that he knew. Aidan's parents needed a while to process the information and then were ready for the options. Marlena explained: "There are two options. One: Not all the Newage Wiccan bullshit is entirely made up - though most is. Still, there are some witches out there and they teach one another in a mentor/apprentice style. I could still reactivate my old associates and introduce Aidan to the circles but can't say with what kind of person as a mentor he would end up with. Two: There is a school for young mages, disguising as a regular boarding school. He would be among other kids like him, supervised by people not only knowledgeable in magic but also in the education of and care for teenagers. I strongly support option two."

The parents looked at another and then Aidan's father requested to know more about this boarding school.

Personality:
At first, Shaun is quiet, reserved and cautious of others, making him seem like he's snobby or arrogant to people. But once somebody gets to know him, he's quiet actually the opposite. He loves to talk and tell jokes to friends, sometimes to the point of being mildly annoying and being told to shut up due to his excessive talking. Independent, original, analytical, and determined, Shaun has an ability to turn theories into solid plans of action, though is too scared to actually go along with them. He spends a lot of time inside his own mind, and may have little interest in the other people's thoughts or feelings, thus he may have problems giving other people the level of intimacy that is needed. Although when dealing with his emotions and feelings, he tends to keep them bottled and thrown away until he is finally stressed out to where everything comes flooding out, making him a completely different person which can be a little worrying and frightening to others.

He is also flirtatious and slightly perverted, though ironically, has trouble with romance due to his insecurities and anxiety. When not learning or hanging out with people, he would be in his room or quiet place, listening to music and playing video games, or outside working out.

Born and raised in a small coastal town 20 miles away from Seattle, Washington, Shaun has lived a rather bittersweet life. All his life, Shaun has known that he was special. Since the age of three, his father, once a student at Mana Academy in the Solum house, thought, trained, and skilled his on the powers of the Earth. His mother, an Aquo, trained him with manipulating water. With these two, he began mastering the art of constructing at very young age, something that was rather difficult for Mages to usually do. Though even with such an ability, he was held to a higher standard than his older brothers were, as his parents-His father specifically-Basically molded him into the person that he is today. And with that, the teen lost his sense of emotion and feelings as he was taught to not show them, for fear of being ridiculed and manipulated by others.

And as a result, he became rather distant with his family and friends, not asking them for any advice and such and even loosing out on father-son moments. And this became especially prominent when Shaun found out that he was gay. Without no one to talk to at home about it, he kept it to himself and told no one about his sexuality or feelings for others; and soon all of those suppressed emotions and feelings came out negatively. Although his older brothers are very supportive of him and still love him, even though they tease and embarrass him about such things as its a natural thing for siblings to do. Once an unknown event caused Shaun to lose his temper and control, it created a monster inside of him, resulting in the near destruction of his town and everyone in it. In order to prevent something like this from happening again, Shaun's parents enrolled him into Mana Academy in order to make him learn more about his magical abilities and control them, as well as learn more about himself as a person and perhaps live comfortably as himself

Bio: Allistor came from a family of brilliant mages in which both sides have different elemental fields. Each generation inherits either his/her father or mother's element. However, Allistor came as a surprise. His father is an Ignis while his mother is a Solum. He then came out as an ice elemental mage.

The disappointment of his parents and the lack of current Aquo in the family that can give him early guidance in his field of magic is close to none. His parents tried to teach him the basics yet failed and the Aquo magicians tried to integrate the basics of water into him but met the same fate.

However, he inherited a tiny bit of his father's power. It is to shape the cold energy of ice into the form of flames, the aethereal form of ice magic. It manifestated by the age of fourteen, when he threw a tantrum at one of his more persuasive teachers. It is when they realized that it is time to send him off to where his father and mother and everyone who came before them studied, the Mana Academy. He spent 3 good years (now his 4th year) in the Academy yet he is still not familiar of the place, getting lost here and there and still cannot find his place among his peers.

Bio: Artosh was a normal kid during his childhood years. He is the only kid in his family to have been blessed to be tuned with the magical world. His parents cannot comprehend his state yet they try to encourage their son to know more of this skill of his. Then he was contacted by a mage teacher from Mana Academy.

He was allowed by his parents to go so that he would learn more of his abilities. He wasn't great with other elements when he started, even water, but he can control arcane. During those years of inexperience, his use of arcane stressed his body, turning his hair moonlight white and gave him an illness that is characterized with sudden coughs that would hinder his spellcasting and his physical health. Pretty much a Magical Asthma. However, it wasn't much of a drawback for him and he is one of the newest additions in Mana Academy's roster of teachers, teaching Magic Harmony so that students can learn to harmonize different fields and schools of magic. He also prefers to use water magic at most times, saying it's as helpful as arcane.

Name: Achinar Faelbrook
Age: 23

Appearance: (I would give a picture, but I can't do that since I'm using the computer lab at school to do this and the teacher sits right behind me. I'll just give a really good description as a somewhat pseudo picture.) His hair is silver at the tips, and slowly gets darker as it gets to the roots eventually turning black. His hair isn't too long, just enough to play with a little bit. His skin is slightly pale, looking more like he doesn't get in the sun as often as he should. He wears a white cloak that is accentuated with black that goes down to his knees, a grey button up shirt with a silver tie, white pants and black dress shoes. He has a can that helps him with his limp that has been there ever since the incident with Jack. It is the darkest black that can possible be made, save for the handle and the tip, which are a pearly white. His right eye has a silver iris, while his left eye is the color of obsidian, including the whites of his eye and pupil. Most of the time he wears a simple white eye patch over his black eye, as it disturbs some people quite easily.

Bio: (I changed the bio a bit, but if we want to go with the one that was already established then wen can go with that to. This one is just an alternative.) Achinar wasn't always the person he is today. He had been born and raised in a moderately wealthy family, nothing of noble status of course, and went through school as a normal child until he was around six and his talent for magic was discovered. His parents, knowing next to nothing about the realm of magic, hired something like a magic tutor of sorts so that he could advance his talent into something that could make his future great. He was always asking questions, whether it be wondering how things worked, or why things worked the way they did. He was a very curious person in his childhood, but that didn't last for very long, as his curiosity got the best of him one day. It was a normal day like most others, nothing special about it really. But there was a time, about ten to fifteen minutes, that he got separated from his magic tutor in town. This was something that had never happened before, and it made Achinar quite frightened at the idea that he had been left behind somewhere. He tried to get away from crowds of people as quickly as possible, thinking that everyone was out to get him, and stumbled into an alleyway. It appeared to be a normal alleyway at first, but when Achinar went to sit down against a wall, he went through it like it was some kind of illusion and popped out in some unknown space. In that space there was nothing but a small white marble stand, and a book that was the darkest shade of black that could be possible. It sat on the stand, and Achinar felt as if the book was staring at him, calling out to him. He was scared, but he was also curious, walking over to the book and resting his hand upon it. Instantly pain shot through his entire body, and he collapsed, now possessed by the long forgotten ghost of Jack Signas.

While Jack was in possession of Achinar's body, he did many unruly things, becoming quite fierce and violent. He discovered that the young boy that he had possessed could use lightning magic, and built on that, adding his own specialized magic into the mix. This demon used a type of magic that was evil, very befitting for a spirit as evil as Jack. He practiced Void magic while he was possessing Achinar's body, and unbeknownst to him, was passing the knowledge of both Void and Estranged Lightning to him in his subconscious. Things went on like this for many years. He was transferred into a magic school at around twelve because of the work that he had put in, and he remained in that school through what would have been a normal life of high school and college, finally ending his education at the age of 20, all the while possessing Achinar's body. Achinar himself had not spent all of that time doing nothing even though his consciousness had been in some kind of stasis for all of those years. He had been conversing and plotting with the book itself to get rid of Jack one way or another. The book did not want the magic it held to be used in the ways that Jack was planning on using it, and there was finally someone else that was worthy to take up the book and study it with pure intentions. Achinar dragged Jack into the realm of his consciousness, fully intent on destroying the foul demon there. Jack had been none the wiser the entire time, and still had no idea that he had basically been teaching Achinar for the majority of his life. They fought for quite a while in the realm of consciousness, though it would seem only like a few seconds to anyone that wasn't in their mind. Eventually, and with major damage that would take quite a while to heal, Achinar won, and Jack was successfully destroyed. It took two years for his mind to completely recover from the damage that Jack had done to it, and he took a year after that to go into teaching so that no child would ever have to go through what he went through.

Personality: Meticulous, slow to act, but after her mutilation at the hands of "Phos" she has a definite breaking point, where she will jump into violent action. She can be some what vindictive. Distant to everyone, especially her family. Plans everything before acting, bit of a control freak. Over her first year at Mana she came out of her shell somewhat, and has found a close friend in Aria. Instead of Staying back and isolating her self she tends to put up a front of arrogance and power, using what ever methods she can to appear stronger than she is, However, she always tried to be kind to others, and show that blood magic is not evil. Then the events with Lynfluer or Phos, changed her. A darker more sadistic side of her some times shows, and her lust for power was redoubled.

Animal: Through her blood line she has a bond the the creature named Erebus. Erebus is a primordial being of enbodying nothingness. It's power is fragmented, and her shard resides in the form of a massive black crow.

Bio: Catherine is the only daughter of Patrick Kennedy, a senator in Massachusetts and nephew of John F. Kennedy. Her mother is a wealthy technology entrepreneur, and carried the sanguine line. Blood magic some times surfaces in the family, the sanguine line, as it did in Catherine. Thus she took the name "De Sanguine Vivere" (the living blood) as all blood mages in her family did. Her ancestors were the first blood mages, dating back to blood shamans in what is now Romania, before even the Roman Empire's formation. They were generally reviled, and are responsible for such acts as the creation of vampires. She lived a secluded life, raised and tutored to marry some one important and and use that influence to further her families political goals. Unfortunately for them, Catherine happened to have absolutely no interest in men, she did how ever spend a lot of time with her tutors young daughter. Not willing to totally disown their daughter, as that would lead to a PR disaster for the family, they decided to send her off to Mana Academy. Catherine didn't care to much, she was just as happy to get away from her parents control as they were to get her out of their sight.
Catherine's first year at Mana was was a happy time for her. Catherine made friends among her class mates, finding that she wasn't excluded or hated for her powers. With a new devotion she attacked her studies, practicing constantly, reading from the old books of her family, and learning from the teachers at Mana. She used her aptitude in manipulating biology to change her own body. Her biggest change was a second heart, some thing that kept her alive fighting Phos. The most obvious of these changes is a layer of controlled blood in her eyes, giving her both red eyes, and supernaturally keen vision. Along with those are arcane runes covering her body, inside and out, that she can store extra power to be used later with. Early in her second year at mana, these changes where put to the test. A group of black mages, lead by Lynfluer, attacked the school. She committed to a ritual that would let her more fully harness the power of her blood line, but didn't expect the full consequences. Her mind was overwhelmed with the long dead Sanguine mages of the past, and they lead her to disaster. Spurred on by the arrogance of the long dead, Catherine attempted to defeat Phos alone, and in turn was her self defeated. The battle cost her dearly. She suffered horrendous wounds, including the loss of an eye and arm. The affects went further than that, and with the ritual connection to her blood line so suddenly severed, the spirits left something behind. She is plagued by nightmares of past lives, their most horrible moments of pain burned into her mind. After this event, when her ancestors failed her, she has lost any respect she had for the idea's of old, and any idea of duty to the family, or house.
Catherine has very little raw magical power, relying on careful planing and efficient use of little energy for maximum effect. Recently she has been pushing her limits and advanced significantly. Catherine's magic takes almost no mana, though she still has a very limited pool to draw from. Her most common techniques involve the psychical manipulation of threads of her own blood.. This can allow thin, nearly invisible blades of blood to be formed. Catherine's more potent, and subtle magics come from manipulating the composition of her and others blood. This ranges from raising levels of anti-bodies and coagulants, to pumping cyanide into some one. She can only manipulate other's blood if it makes contact with her own.

Bio: Born of Japanese and American parents shortly after the US opened Japan for trade. Elizabeth Tsukuyomi quickly displayed enormous magical ability. Her early life was spent learning from Japanese, Chinese, and Western Mages. She spent her time after education hunting dangerous magical creatures and black mages. She had gained enough power to halt her own aging, constantly rebuilding and replenishing her body. Even being of mixed blood she rose quickly in standing in Japan. Even being called upon to chase down the Retreating Russian fleet after the Battle of Tsushima. Fearing the rising imperial sentiment during the 1930's Elizabeth fled to the US. There she joined the newly formed Inquisition, hoping that she could put her talents to use helping people fight back against black mages. As she was one of the most powerful mages alive at the time, The Inquisition welcomed her with open arms. She stayed with them for almost 20 years, doing her best to fight against the dark arts, and later the darkness of zealotry and hatred growing in the Inquisition. Eventaly, after a series of cases where inquisitors killed innocent people while carrying out their duties, but received no punishment, Elizabeth left the organization. She spent the time between then and now pushing her magic, and the studies of magical theory to her, and their limits. She has partially in hiding, never attending meetings or leaving her estate to fight dark mages or magical creatures. Elizabeth quite suprised the Administration of Mana when she showed up out of the blue, asking about open teaching positions.
Beyond her massive mana pool, Elizabeth is a master of the intricacies of magic. She is a world leader in Magical theory and the use of ritual magic. She's unique in that she is one of the few humans to master travel between plains. This talent developed after she went hunting for the souls of the family she had lost to time. In her travels through the different realities, she discovered that time was variable, infact The Prime Material, the plane of her origin, was in some sort of lull in time. Time in other planes time seemd to move much faster. Liz would go out searching for the spirits of her family, leaving The Prime, spending decades, centuries hunting. Only for on her return to have only seen a few months or weeks pass. Due to this, it's imposible truely gague her age.

Annice's common power is that of a metal singer, capable of bending worked metals to her will, making her a deadly swords woman and allowing her to wear the heaviest of armor with ease. Her unique ablity is that she can dampen mana. Her dampening can be overcome by either very large or very small uses of mana.
Personality: Broken. Annice is a good person, but is prone to anxiety and psychotic episodes. Her sense of humor is as dark as her past, and is one of the few ways she has found to cope.

Bio: Annice was born in a small village on the out skirts of Kosovo. She was born to ethnically Albainian parents. Found as a baby after a Yogoslav mage had attacked and killed the people in the town, only her latent powers saved her. The Abusus Ordinis in Virtute order of knights found her, and seeing her powers inducted her. She spend her childhood under their harsh tutalage. Her powers made her a perfect choise for the order's strike teams against black magic, and she was thrust into combat at the age of 12. She was mostly used in the back lines to nullify or dampen the opposing mages. Even though the Order had avoided much of the corruption that the Inquisition was know for, Annice still saw her fair share of horrors. Her pegasus mount that she had bonded with was killed in her first action, and she couldn't bond with any other creatures afterward. When she was 14 and had served in numerious engagements, she was made a full member of the order, and given her bonded armor. By this time she had seen more death than most people do in their life. Annice was begining to show signs of severe PTSD. The harsh training methods of the Order did nothing to help. They were not perpared to take care of thier adult members with mental issues, much less a 14 year old's. It culminated in a battle where Annices entire squad was killed by a necromancer, and then she was sent to fight the man again. Her undead squad now fighting against her. Though the fight ended with the necromancer dead, Annice was pulled from the battle a gibbering wreck. She wouldn't speak or eat for a week afterwards. After two suicide attempts the order finaly realized what they had done to the girl, and retired her with full honors. Annice wasn't present for the ceremony, feeling she had done nothing to earn them, and the dead desevered it far more than she. The order made a special request to Mana that the girl be allowed to study there, hoping the peace of the Academy would help her heal. Though she is not suicidal at this time, she is still plagued by intence episodes of anxiety, and even psycosis. Her body is covered in scars that she never bothers to cover, thinking that doing so would tarnish the memories of those that didn't survive.

She was a bit of a party girl in her early teens, and would regularly wander the strip drinking with friends. It didn't take her long to get tired of that, and started to become quite an introvert. Taking after her mother, she always love music, and singing. When she was fourteen she awakened her magical powers. They're nothing nearly as showy as most people at mana, but she gained a bit of fame by posting videos of her singing and using her magic to change her voice, or even replicate a full band. She came in second on the TV contest "America's got Arcane Talent", and even put out an album that year. She wasn't cut out for that life though, and retreated back into her self quickly, and disappeared from any real public life. She mostly stayed at home and played MMO's finding that she could leave all her worries behind in the virtual world. When she was fifteen she got her invitation to Mana, which on a whim she accepted. This is her second year at mana, and was one of the few students to avoid getting involved in the Signas incident, even though she was in the library at the time. Hailey managed to hide and didn't get involved in the fight. Other than a twinge of guilt, she's mostly decided that was a validation of her efforts to avoid confrontation and getting involved in things. She missed the first few days of classes this year because of whopping cough. She has enjoyed her time at mana, and is exited to get back to classes.

Personality: Externally passive, and seemingly uncaring. Her mind always seems to be on other tasks then what she's actually doing, even in the heat of combat. Internally, she is a hedonistic and power hungry mage, willing do just about anything to forward her own agenda. When she isn't focused on expanding her magical or political power, generally she's found "enjoying the finer things in life" Weather that be good food, beautiful men (or women), illicit substances, or indulging her darker fancies. She'll plan her future attempts at grabbing power meticulously, but generally leaves anything else in her life up to her whims. While she bears no hatred towards people in general, she finds few things less sacred than human life, seeing just about anyone else as simply a tool, to be used and tossed aside when they can't be any more.
Likes: Reveling in unadulterated hedonistic bliss, grabbing as much power as she can, usually at the expense of others. Some what ironically for her subservient position, Olivette loves what ever power she has, and is just as cruel of a master as any of the Rise themselves. She has a near insatiable lust for dominating others, in any and every way. It is perhaps that similar cruelty, along with her talents, that has given her a privileged position with the Rise house.
Dislikes: Generally speaking, Olivette is perfectly happy to go along with any plans the Rise might involve her in, though she hates when her opinions are ignored. Though she would never take it out on her Overlords, her servants know to stay out of her way when she comes back from an audience with any of the Rise with a scowl. As much as she has an independent streak, Olivette is loathe to be left to her own devices. She is not a leader naturally, and would likely be lost in a meaningless life with out the direction offered to her the Rise clan.
Bio: For then last century the minor house Hansa has been bound as a vassal to the Great house of Rise, though others might have hated the influence of the larger house Olivette basked in it, quickly abandoning her own family to live with the Rise in their estate. She was quickly picked out as a favorite by the older Solaine Rise, they both shared certain particular tastes. At first the older Rise tried to torment and frighten the younger girl with her cruelty to others, only to find that Olivette was just as likely to join in on the "fun". Often Solaine would drag Olivette to events that where completely inappropriate for her age, only to find the teenager enjoying every minute of it, the drugs, the drinking, oddly though, when ever some man would start to linger around her, it didn't take long for Solaine to appear, rarely with pleasant consequences for who ever she saw as getting to close to her "petit cousin".
Over time she became a reliable enforcer for the will of House Rise. Though always staying loyal to Solaine over the actually Heir, and eventual head of the house. If Solaine Rise is present, it is safe to assume that Olivette Hansa is near by.

Personality: Superior, Amélie descends from both French and Italian great houses. She doesn't treat those she sees as having lesser blood poorly, instead believing that the great houses should guide lesser mages to glory. Thus she does end up being fairly patronizing to lesser blooded mages, but means well, even if it doesn't really show. She has some mage supremacist ideas, but is not firmly attached to them. Normal she maintains a fairly serious demeanor, but is a closest nerd, geeking out over things from Star Wars to ancient weapon manufacturing techniques. Surprising most people that know her, she really enjoys violence, either fighting and sparring her self, or watching violent sports.
Likes: Finding people that share her fandoms/interests to geek out with. She, like many other noble mages, is used to a life of luxury, and finds joy in the finest things in life. One of her guiltier pleasures is teasing the boys of other nobles houses, her mother having constantly drilled into her that she would only be allowed a noble boy, and her having no real interest in romance at all.
Dislikes: Cheap things, and low standards people might have about quality. As well, people that have low standards for them selves tend to aggravate her. All in all she can be considered rather elitist. Amélie can also bore quickly, preferring things and events to move quickly, never wanting to be still or waiting.
Animal: A semi intelligent construct, in the form of a teddy bear.
Bio: Amélie was born to related to great houses from both France and Italy, and that nobility is core to her being. She sees the noble house of Europe as a great force for both progress, and the greater good. Amélie has been raised as the heir to two great houses, as she is the only heir of both the Aleramici and Gramont. This has left her arrogant, but also lonely. As such she's delved into online comunities and fandoms, where she can have some form of anonymity. She studies in Italy, and jumped at the chance to join the international tournament, it combined many of her favorite things, fighting, being around the magical nobility, and meeting new people.

Bio: He wasn't born into the best family so to say. Some say that they have gained their powers through contracts with the Devil, while others have believed that they were descendants from the demon himself. Of course, rumors are just rumors, right?

His family name made it an impossible task for him to make friends when he started school. In time, they had started to call him "Demon" or "Devil." Treatment like this and neglect are what caused him to develop his antisocial tendencies.

In time, his abilities began to manifest. They usually caused occurrences said to be the working of dark forces. Dark forces that were believed to be brought upon the land by his family. It wasn't long, however, until they realized that it had originated from him. This only added to the suspicion and hatred of his family.

On the day of his seventeenth birthday, his parents sent him off to Mana Academy. They may have claimed that it was for his safety, but there are no pure motives in his household.

Appearance: Ozzi has rather curly darkish brown hair that usually goes down just past his ears and eyes. His eyes are a true hazel, with the combining flecks of brown, grey and green giving his eyes a bright amber/goldish color when in light, and a darker amber or light brown color when in other environments. Ozzi really has a typical "Jewish" look: dark curly hair, skinny, kind of short, prominent nose.

Personality: Ozzi is a very interesting young man indeed. He can be ambitious, yet apathetic. He can be ruthless, yet he can also be merciful. Emotionally, Ozzi can be defined as a being of absolutes. He is always drawn to the extremes, to the farthest edge he can reach. More than this, Ozzi is an independent soul. He often refuses to take orders, and he refuses to do something without wanting to do it. This can work against him viciously, and Ozzi realizes it, but he is still uncompromisingly independent. He sees himself as a rogue, a maverick, free from the constraints of orthodoxy. He tends to subconsciously look down upon most other people, for he sees them as followers. As herd members who blindly obey the herds-men. Yet at the same time as he despises the herds-men, the good and the just, the believers of the orthodox beliefs, he envies them. Bio: Ozzi was born into a large family; besides his parents he lives with a grandmother, three brothers, and two sisters. They all share a fairly small house in Portugal, where Ozzi was born. All of Ozzi's siblings are mages as well, and their accomplishments have always overshadowed Ozzi's. However, instead of discouraging him, this only leads Ozzi to work harder for recognition. Due to his being in a magical family, he did get some rudimentary training, though it was always supplied via his elder siblings because his parents never had time to teach it to him. Overall, he had a distant relationship with his parents during his youth, though he developed close bonds with his siblings.

Eventually, Ozzi got the letter from Mana Academy that he and his family had been expecting. He got flown off to America and that is where he is now.

Short RP Sample: Ozzi tries to regulate his breathing, blinking a few times as he focuses his vision on the other young man he was circling. His lungs are burning, his throat stings, and his muscles ache, but he ignores it all. He has to win this fight now, or else he never will. Ozzi narrowes his eyes and then dives to the side, twisting out of the way to avoid the blast of electricity that shoots from the other boy's fingers. With a grunt, Ozzi rolls to his feet and thrusts out one of his hands, barely balanced on his pivoted heels. A tingling sensation spreads suddenly up his arm and into his palm, and a burst of red hot flames blasts out from his palm. As soon as the flame flies forth the tingling sensation fades and Ozzi is on the move again. He forces his fatigued legs to keep moving, and he bounces further to the side, watching as his opponent deflects the flame. Before Ozzi can react, his enemy has twisted around and swung out with his hands, snapping his wrists forwards.

Ozzi tries to dodge but moves to slow, and the blast of lightning hits him square in the chest. He lets out a croaky yelp as he is lifted off his feet, and his body goes flying backwards. The air is pushed out from within his chest, and a numb, stinging pain streaks across his chest. The boy collides with the wall, and slumps to the ground, completely defeated. Bright golden lights dance in front of his eyes, and he seems unable to move. Too weak is he even to lift an arm. His vision fades, and he feels himself slowly slipping into unconsciousness.

Appearance: Cato is a massive, well muscled man. His hair is well cut and brown, and he keeps a well managed, long brown beard on his chin. A strange quirk about him is that he always wears a suit, bowtie, flat cap, and circular sunglasses, no matter the time or place. Due to the sunglasses, his eye color is undeterminable. Strangely enough, his suit never seems to suffer as a result of his job as janitor and security officer for the school.

Subject: He works as the janitor/security for the school, and as the coach for sports teams and physical education class.

Personality: Cato is a stern, gruff man with an unwavering sense of morality and respect. He is known as a bit of a loner among the other teachers due to his tendencies to avoid interacting with the other staff, but he nonetheless does his job very well. He approaches all problems with a very logical and pragmatic viewpoint, never one to rush into something. Cato has an almost fanatical sense of loyalty to the school and to the principle, and will do anything to preserve the state of the Academy. He tries his best to instill this same sense of loyalty, teamwork, and duty into his students, though he often feels as if he is failing.

Bio: Cato was born in a small village in Norway, but his family was slaughtered by a Direwolf pack when he was very young. Cato, despite the experience, adopted the runt of the pack. Cato, in turn, was adopted by a teacher for the Academy. He grew up on campus, learning the ways of the school and earning his stay by working as a janitor. When he was old enough Cato himself went to the school, though he barely graduated. He never left school after graduating, and he has slowly worked his way into the position he is in today.

He fell in love with the sensation of using the power and used it everytime he could, from lighting candles to cooking food. His mother didn’t complain much, as it brought down the gas bill anyhow. From 17 years of almost constant practice, he felt that he could enroll for Mana Academy, and this is where his story begins.

The...very messy result came as a total shock to Amanda, and after she was found by the Academy, she resolved to work on that anger, quite a bit.

IIdza is, by nature, more of a wallflower. She stood resigned to her own environment and hung out with only a couple of friends. She never intended to be a "wallflower," but she sort of had trouble finding a certain group to call her own. She is more of a wildflower, in secret, being so in love with the natural world and human nature. This sometimes came through her love of books and poetry and other times came from her love of the outdoors; while others, came through the beautiful music of a piano, which could pluck her heartstrings and make her spirit tremble with excitement. Unfortunately, she did not have the nimble fingers of a pianist, nor did she grow up in a place covered in the deep forests described in her novels. She is quite kind to others, sometimes with admiration for what they can do but she can't. With her lack of friends, she has developed an abrasive personality, and has difficulty reading, or trusting, people.

Likes: books, animals, nature, human nature. music. Secretly reads yuri and yaoi religiously. Coffee. Rain. Sweets. Boys and girls (she is very open, but shy). Ash

Animal: A four tailed fox named Ash. Ash tends to be calm and generally disinterested in her environment. She is wise and sagely, though temperamental or unhelpful even with Idza at times. The spirit, if not at her side, tends to rest wrapped around her shoulders and neck like a large scarf of pure white snow.

Bio:
Idza was born to a small family of low-class workers in the high mountains outlooking a large mountain. They tended to the wills and wants of a secluded, icy family, with which they grew very close to. The family, the Einhards, were an aristocratic family that mostly existed in name, rather than in practice. They did little in the way of fighting or protecting, mostly keeping up the appearances while they maintain their secluded, peaceful, and academic existence. They had four children, all who were to be maintained and kept under control by Idza and her mother. Logically, they took two children each. Her mother took the younger, more roudy ones that needed a stronger hand and discipline; Idza, the older, more reserved but still difficult to deal with. Either way, they were one of the few people in that small village that had access to magical texts and documents.

Idza was, by fact of boredom, often found kneeling her head deep in the confines of a book; her imagination was vast and large. She often teleported herself to these worlds, or fell in love with the words of a poem, or showed a scholarly devotion to the thick magical texts that covered nearly every field imaginable. She even, at times and by herself, would practice the skills in those books.

Through those books, and despite the fact she was supposed to be in control of children, she became rowdier and rowdier. She sometimes even would delve into the crisp snowcapped woods, or argue scholarly to the heads of the family. She was not from a family famed for magic, but she began to experiment deeply through obscure magics. Ultimately, she became more difficult to control than the children. Sometimes, her mother and father would wonder where she went or what she was doing. She might disappear for hours on end, practicing her skills and attuning with nature. Soon enough, she found a kid in the village—a poor kid with little to his name than a piano—who would play tunes to cause her heart to pump to the pounding octaves of his melody. She had a small crush on him. But that was a young, feeble crush, which in actuality, was misplaced love not for the boy, but the music. It felt as if that itself transported her to nature at its purest.

During a hunt sponsored by the Einhard family, the head noticed her practicing her arts silently and in a secluded field. He merely observed her curiously. He was a benevolent soul. In a prior life, with the number of magical tomes he collected, may have become a mage, but in this life he was merely a curious mind. He had watched for a time, before returning to hunting an elusive fox. He shot the fox that day, and in that time, the girl had summoned a familiar: Ash.

That head was known to frequent many royal parties on occasion, and in one, he had met a wizard who he came to confide in on occasion. They wrote religiously back and forth; somehow aiding each other in their studies, however similar or dissimilar. In a couple of transactions, he recommended the girl be trained formally. Through a winding path of correspondence, the girl was given homage to the Mana Academy. It was a surprise to her parents, who regrettably let her go after being convinced by the Einhards.

At 14, the girl entered the halls of the academy. She had trouble fitting in, though. She hadn't been around so many people, and so many people seemed off put by her. For this reason, she often seems more introverted than she actually is. She was brought to house Venta, though some ask why. She has picked up an obscure magics: spirit-flame, spirit-walk; magics she developed in the Einhards and worked to refine at the Academy.

In her time, she has also managed to learn skills with a sword, which is one of the preferred catalysts and accompaniments to spirit magics.

Born to Friedrich Von Kressel and cousin to Henry, she was raised under the influence and money of her family. She was spoiled by her father, and raised to believe that she was naturally better than most people.

However, she wanted to be recognized as the best mage at her age at her family, and that was the first time she found opposition to something that she wanted: An opposition named Henry Von Kressel. The son of her most successful uncle promised to be equal in talent to his father.

The years would pass, and she needed a tutor, someone that could teach her the particularities of her magic. She set her eyes in Sarah and Vladimir, her aunt and uncle respectively, the ones she judged best among her nearby family members.

Her hopes heightened when Henry was marked as a "potential black sheep" by the Von Kressel family. Soon as she readied herself to ask from tutelage from both of them, she knew that they were already teaching someone else: Henry.

Vladimir had finally agreed to teach a young Von Kressel: He wasn't a de facto "black sheep", but he secluded himself many years ago. Sarah also agreed to teach him, under her brother's requirement. Her disappointment was directed to Henry, and she named him the cause for everything that she didn't achieve.

After years of tutelage under other uncles and aunts, she finally heard of a place where she could prove that she was better than Henry: Mana Academy. So, she departed to the Academy, keeping her mind in her task.

However, Ambrosia is the only one who has learned Fire Magic, making her a bit of an anomaly in her family, as she shows a disdain for the Wind Magic of her family. Thus, in order to get her to learn how to better control her Magic, and to learn how to use Fire Magic, her family sent her to Mana.

Personality: A chipper and impatient girl, Ambrosia is energetic and always seeking action. She doesn't like following orders, though she will do so if given an incentive (sweets, getting to watch things burn, cute boys being involved, etc.) She acts quite immature at times, but can be sweet when it suits her. Most of the time, when she gets angry, she's simply being petty, but insulting her family will usually end with someone getting burned.

Likes: Candy, anything sugary, sneaking food into classes, sneaking out of classes, laughing loudly for no reason, chasing boys.

Bio:
She was the first to approach Lance when he arrived in her plane of existence. His form was not physical, but spiritual, because his consciousness, his soul, had passed through the barrier. It was something unlike anything she had ever seen; a mortal willingly entering a world of torment. He didn't seek power like many before him. Instead, he was simply trying to fulfill an obligation to his family.
So, when he proposed the exchange of his soul for that of her companionship and power, she accepted. Not only did she want to learn more of the world from which he came, she also wanted to escape the horrendous world of fire and brimstone that she had known for so long.

She likes it, maybe a little too much. Not only that, but she will even find pleasure in her own wounds to an extent. She is also skilled with seduction. Both man and demon have had difficulty resisting her charms. But, if anything, she simply enjoys teasing them. Many can say that she lives for the pleasures in life. Well, that is partially true. She simply wants to enjoy herself by doing what she loves. And that list is far too long for her to write. Or perhaps she only acts in this manner for some other reason...

Bio: Ever since her childhood, she had rivaled Inari. They were almost complete opposites of each other from birth. While Inari had hated their world and wanted to escape the torment, Sage had loved it. She lived for fighting. She loved destruction and pain. Sage was the average demon, maybe a little more malevolent than most.

Each of them had been forced to kill their closest friends, and their greatest enemies. Hell's Legions wanted only the strongest demons within their ranks. This is what drove the Lords to train the young in such a fashion.

Eventually, when the time came, She was forced to fight against her sister. Sage was a warrior with skill above that of any other. Not only that, but she showed no mercy. That is why her loss came as a surprise. Ever since then, she has been believed to be dead.

A mage distantly related to a very small magic family who didn't write their name as one of the Great Houses, or a House at all, Richard grew up dreaming of being recognized as a powerful mage, ad to change the already established order of influence of the Great Houses.
