Rain clouds covered most of Western Washington. In some areas, the clouds released their load in a downpour. Others, the rain was lighter, and in the areas where it wasn’t raining, the clouds loomed as an ominous sign of a coming storm.
People went about their week day as if everything was normal, which for people native to Washington, the weather was pretty normal, especially for this time of the year. Some people gathered supplies for the inevitable windstorms, while others simply stayed at home.
But things didn’t stay so normal for long. At first, it wasn’t all that noticeable, but then sounds of panic started to sound all around, as people started attacking other people in the streets, intent on eating the victim. Emergency Broadcasts started broadcasting all over, warning people to lock their doors and stay indoors, and that military action was being taken. About the time that things seemed to be seriously going towards a downward spiral was at around 12 PM, and people all around were panicking to figure out what to do and where their family members were, or if they did know, rushing to make sure that they were safe.

Effy had wandered off away from the brunt of the mayhem in the city area, deciding to just stick with being in the area of the high school instead. Not at the high school, because fuck high school, but around the area. Not that anybody was even doing anything at school right now, beyond likely panicking and freaking out, trying to find their families or mauling each other, but that was just more reason to stay away. It helped that the backpack she had, which she had on her now, was already conveniently full of stuff, because she automatically threw a bunch of weird stuff in there out of her daily way of holding things, somehow never getting busted for the things that she had in said backpack. Nothing particularly apocalypse useful, but again, she didn't care. In fact, she didn't even bother calling her parents, which was fine considering the lines were busy at this point anyway from being overly flooded. Instead, she went straight towards something she knew about, a car, to try and steal it, because it was apparently the damn apocalypse, so might as well make the most of it, right?
Eventually, miraculously managing to dodge most of the chaos since it was a less busy area of town, she found the car, which was a nice Lotus Exige. Immediately, she went to picking the lock instead of just smashing the window open, preferring a functioning car, and eventually got the door open, but the downside is that it was a rich person that wasn't stupid, and the car alarm immediately went off. She jumped into the inside of the car at that point, slamming the door shut to make sure none of the infected people could get her, then went to trying to hotwire the car. To anybody nearby, her location was rather obvious now, including the zombies, who were beginning to be drawn to the sounds in her area...

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god," said Sherry, panicked and extremely worried. On the outside, the infection really went strong, while in the television an Emergency Broadcast is on the run, explaining to not get outside and to stay inside. But it is too bad since inside the room there's almost no food safe for some snacks, and two glass bottles of water.
She needs to get outside, she sat down first, prayed for safety. It was done, she went to the bathroom and washed her face. She took the toothbrush, the paste, the bottles of water, and the snacks. Pulling out almost all of her belongings except for few clothes, powerbank, her small bag, and charger inside her big bag.
"What I should I pick, what should I pick?" said Sherry to herself, looking for something to defend herself. She looked at one of the glass inside the bathroom, she dropped it to the ground and picked up the largest shard of glass. Now ready to head out, she opened the door slowly, peeking outside. Save for a dead body, it is empty.
Closing her nose because of the smell, and extremely scared but tried to be determined to escaped, she walked out from her room and slowly walked to the stairs...or lift, if possible.

Kyraina wrote:You have go to be Fucking Shitting me!!!!! I give her a damn distraction and she still wants to steal that damn car. Fuck her." Joseph mumbled under his breath.
He quickly sited and pulled the trigger five times, dropping a Zombie as Hollow Point rounds ripped into it. Then the one of the rounds jammed between the mag and the bolt, Joseph let loose a whole stream of cuss words that would have made a Drill Sargent cry. He let go the AR-15, letting it's strap go tight and went to his side. He then drew his pistol fired off 3 rounds, dropping another Zombie as the group shuffled towards him.
He then turned and ran. Only this time as he lead the group of Zombies down a twisting path in some alley's before finally losing them in the twisting confusing path.
He finally made his way back to his truck and saw a couple Zombies around his truck, so He holstered the pistol, drew the Tomahawk, and threw it at the first Zombie, killing as it buried itself in the Zombies head. He drew his Knife and dispatched the Zombie Quickly with a stab to it's head.
He then recovered the Tomahawk, secured his weapons, fixed the Jam in the AR, jumped in the truck and drove off.

Leroy sat quietly in the complicated and twisting back alleys he called home, at least at this moment in time. He opened a pack of M&Ms, and his dog friend came over, wagging his tail and tilting his head at the bag.
"No, you can't have any," Leroy said, playfully narrowing his eyes at the dog, who whined in reply. "They're not good for you. Chocolate bad," He said, pouring the M&Ms in to his mouth and grinning at the dog, who looked utterly betrayed. The look earned a laugh from Leroy, causing him to nearly choke on his mouthful of M&Ms, before he pulled out a bag of dog treats from his backpack. He took a bacon strip out of the bag, and waved it in the dog's face, which earned him a happily wagging tail. Also nearly earned him some teeth marks on his hand. "Hey, be nice," He scolded through his mouthful, tossing the treat to the dog, before sitting back to finish his bag of M&Ms.
(Post Infection)
With no TV, Radio, phone or computer, Leroy had no way of knowing about the infection. He only noticed that his dog seemed to be on edge, head lowered, ears pinned back, like he sensed something was wrong. Leroy just assumed he was being moody about something or other, until the dog bared his teeth and growled, facing away from him, down the alleyway. "What is it?" He asked, getting up and grabbing his pocket knife. He went and stood beside the dog, who's hair was raising along his back. It wasn't long before he saw a dog come wandering in to view. He recognized it as one of the other stray dogs in the area, but it looked ill, and badly wounded. Really, he wasn't sure why it was on it's feet. The infected dog limped forward, snarling and drooling, teeth bared.
"Hey, it's OK," Leroy said softly, crouching down, trying to make himself seem less threatening to the dog,"I'll get you some help. You'll be OK."
His dog, on the other hand, could see what he couldn't, and he snarled, snapping at the dog and standing between it and Leroy protectively. As the zombie dog got closer, however, Leroy began to realize that something was wrong. It's eyes were clouded and vacant, and it looked like it had been torn to shreds, it's insides hanging out. Upon seeing this, he stumbled back, eyes flying wide,"What the f-fffudge," He stammered, just as the zombie dog leaped forward, knocking Leroy's dog out of the way and leaping at Leroy, who rolled back just in time for it to land on top of him. He grabbed it's neck, holding back it's snapping jaws and ignoring the claws as they dug in to his torso, trying to get a grip to force it's head close enough to bite him. After a bit of a struggle, and some assistance from his dog, Leroy managed to get his arm up and stab the infected dog in the brain, causing it to fall down on top of him, and it wasn't exactly a particularly small dog. This is why Joseph probably didn't notice him when he ran through the alleys. As Joseph ran by, he was pinned under the dog, off to the side, in the shadows. Managing to shove the dead weight off of him, he grabbed his backpack with shaking hands and swung it over his shoulder, looking in the direction that Joseph had run. He then heard the sound of snarling coming from the opposite direction, and decided that following Joseph might be a reasonable idea. "Dog, come," He said, patting his leg, and the dog ran to his side, following him as he ran after Joseph.
He came running out of the alley just as Joseph was getting in his car to leave, and he ran out in front of the truck, putting his hands out in front of him, trying to keep Joseph from leaving, hoping to get a ride.

Joseph let loose some more colorful language as he braked and went to Leroy's Left, so Leroy was on the truck's right side. Joseph put the truck in park and jumped out and moved where he could see around the truck.
"Jump in the truck, put the dog in the back of the cab, so the back righthand door." Joseph said just loud enough for the Leroy to hear. Joseph saw some of the Zombies come out the alley, He opened up the truck's left side rear door, grabbed the AR, Sighted the AR, and waited to pull the trigger to see if they headed towards the truck.

"Thank you," Leroy said breathlessly, opening the back right hand door. He basically just picked up his dog and shoved him in to the back, the dog was kind of freaked out and may not have cooperated if he just instructed it. Closing the back door, he quickly climbed in to the front passenger seat. As soon as he closed the door, he let out a long sharp breath, not really having had any time to think or process until now. He then took off his jacket, which had been unbutton despite the rain. Doing that made the it clear to see that his black button up shirt was torn and somewhat bloody from the scratched the dog's claws had left on his chest. While somewhat deep, they weren't life-threatening beyond the risk of infection, and were mostly just painful. After examining his wounds, he crossed his arms and hunched his shoulders, trying to steady his shaking.

Joseph turned around and climbed back into the truck and placed the rifle between them. Joseph looked over at Leroy as he started to drive away.
"As soon as we get out of town, we will patch you up, for now your welcome and what's your name kid? I'm Joseph." Joseph said as he drove his way to town and approached the northern edge Arlington.
