Who knows, maybe the OP will still complain.

I am saying that when a country's major institutions endorse a radical ideological figure, and encounter no institutional or serious public opposition, that ideology can be considered to be, or be close to, that country's official ideology.
That is a reasoned deduction. You may disagree with it, but it's not the sort of argument one can brush off with "Sources please!" (which, let us be serious, is 99% just an attempt to waste the other poster's time anyway, and not motivated by actual disbelief).
What? You do know that Congress is controlled by Republicans, right? Since when do Republicans endorse Communism? Name just one Republican who endorses Communism. Not to mention, but Liberalism, which is the dominant political ideology within government institutions in the United States, is not Communism, far from it. Neither is Classical Liberalism, nor Mainstream Liberalism.

OK, and are the Republicans in Congress going to respond to this outrageous action of Google by punishing Google in some way? Even criticise them?
No?
What would happen if Google did indeed run a Mussolini graphic - and not, Mussolini killed 1/10,000 the people this woman's friends did - would they be silent then? Would Google be safe then? Would the Republicans in Congress say nothing then?

In case you're wondering who hot stuff in the picture is- that's Yuri Kochiyama. You might get the idea that maybe she marched alongside martin luther king in the 1960s but that is not really the case, she was a marist black separatist. In other words not unlike louis farakan. Here is a laundry list of her good deeds, which is from wikipedia and not say fox news.
-Took over the statue of liberty to free puerto rican nationalists who almost killed several unarmed people and admitted to it
-Friend of assata shakur, a convicted murderer
-Friend of mumia abu jamal, a convicted murderer
-Fan of mao zedong (noted peace activist)
-Campaigned in Peru for a terrorist organization known as "shining path" which conducted massacres against unarmed civilians
-Supporter of the japanese "red" army which did multiple terrorist attacks
-Friend of marilyn buck, who was involved in at least one murder
-Called herself a feminist and converted to islam
Oh and by the way...here's her unedited thoughts of 9/11. I won't say shit...
So...ahem...why did google decide to use this idiot as their poster girl for the day? Some other people born on may 19:
-Frank Luke, "Medal of Honor" recipient
-Max Perutz, nobel prize winner
-Colin Chapman, lotus founder
-Pete Townshend
-Joey Ramone
-Harry Brown, one of the only american pilots to shoot down japanese aircraft on 12/7/41
-Albert fish, hey at least he never supported terrorism
So who else should have been up there and why did google put her up? Is eric rudolph acceptable as a google mascot now?
As one of those seven, I stopped supporting Google when it become a 500 lb gorilla. I have a news service as my homepage, and my default search engine is Ixquick. There are other search engines out there--the aforementioned Ixquick, its twin Startpage, Duck Duck Go, Yandex, Yippy (a clustering engine), and of course Yahoo! and Bing. One can google (:snicker:) for specialty search engines for a myriad of professions, and specialty searches as well. If you don't like what Google is doing vote with your click with another company, and perhaps send them an email as to why you are going to some other.

Jimmy Carter is persona non grata to anyone bragging about not being an SJW.
I'm totally fine continuing with the whataboutism that you're so irritated over, but actually we have another topic we ought to discuss.Napkiraly wrote:Kubra wrote: No, we're discussing the views of a single person, on trial because she's a rather famous person with some questionable views, questionable views evidently shared in some part by one Jimmy Carter.
I highly doubt Jimmy Carter actually liked the Khmer Rouge and rather saw them as a necessary evil. And it's not Jimmy Carter being commemorated now is it? So perhaps you can drop the fucking whataboutism?

America is being invited to worship a Communist and doing so enthusiastically, and this thread is about that worship of a Communist, and how Americans love that Communist and are worshipping her enthusiastically.

Yes! Do you read your own posts?!?!?!? You just stated that Communism was the dominant political ideology in the US! How can Republicans be the dominant political party in a widely-communist loving nation?!?!?

No, it isn't. And even if it was, this isn't the right thread! Start a new thread and bring your anti-communist propaganda somewhere else.
