The difference between reinforcements arriving in a few days and a few weeks could very well be the difference between stopping the Remnant military near the border and stopping the Remnant military after they've taken large pieces of Zhanguan territory (or not stopping them at all, if they shatter the Zhanguan army before reinforcements arrive).

Since on April 24th, I started moving into Zhangua, and the Vanquarian & co. reinforcements begin arriving on May 4th, depending on how much resistance Zhanguanese troops offer, it's possible I could have driven my army across half of Zhangua at that point in time. They could be fighting me on the isthmus when they arrive.

It's possible, depending on what he sent or how long it's taken him. I honestly can't say because I admittedly haven't been focusing on the Reutoan Front.

I noticed that I was much far behind in time by looking at other's posts so I decided to focus on after my fleet has made landfall which took pretty much just over a week now from my planned 4-5 days at sea.

That gives you 5-6 days to load 100,000 soldiers onto your boats, right? I don't know if that's realistic. Anyone with more experience on large-scale army mobilization want to comment?

This is very true. A force of 100,000 light infantry would take 50 America-class amphibious assault ships to carry. And that's just light infantry with bare minimum supplies. To protect a force of 50 amphibs, you'd need proportional defensive and support units, so you'd be moving a massive fleet and you'd be moving at the speed of your slowest ship, which would most likely be the Americas, since they can only push roughly 20 knots.

Because if you waited on everyone getting ready at once and to move at once in a massive fleet, it'd take weeks upon weeks to organize, and the logistics train would be strained to deal with so much at once as well as the administration would hate to organize a movement so massive when there's simply more efficient means to do it.

That's why most large-scale movements like that move in waves. So say you have 15 Americas, you'd be moving the troops in a first wave, and then the Americas would transport back to your nation and pick up a second wave and so on. Also while this is happening, and also before your amphibious troops even landed, you'd have soldiers travelling via military air transport and civilian airlines to reach their destination as the first boots on the ground.

Now, this causes an issue, since the size of Ausozera is larger, meaning air transport wouldn't be feasible between continents due to the distance. But we could glaze over that fact in the face of making this go quicker.

Same here. Although I am happy to give my option on issues pertaining to that if someone brings them up on the OOC, but I'm not hunting through those posts checking for inaccuracies* like I am on the Zhanguan front.

*If I was, I would probably comment on the fact that running a minimum interval takeoff on all of the Union airbases in Ruetoa is going to cause at least a few aircraft to crash from accidents probably. Not to mention the absolute nightmare it's going to create for civilian air traffic control.

Under Vanquarian escort the transport fleet steamed across the Gulf of Fruit. Hopefully no one would dare assault them now that they had a large escort force. Eventually the flotilla came in sight of the Zhanguan coast and the transports deployed landing craft, which released the first waves of Cholovian troops into the water. Sloshing ashore, the Slavic soldiers quickly secured the area and set up a communications tower. More landing craf were deployed, and soon the beach was swarming with Cholovian soldiers. After only fifteen minutes they made contact with Zhanguan forces and told them that they had landed to defend Zhangua against Remnant forces.

Afterwards the troops sent patrols deep into the Zhanguan countryside to secure the area and set up watchtowers. After two hours 28,000 troops had disembarked and were busy setting up a large camp and defenses several miles inland. General Sliwa and his staff soon arrived and began developing Cholovian strategy. Troops continued to pour onto the beach well into the night, as did crates of equipment and hulking military vehicles. Cholov had landed.

I'm going to assume that both of these occur mid-August, given that neither of these posts have dates associated with them.

1) That post should have a date.
2) There's currently discussion about what's a reasonable date for a post like this.
3) They don't need to swim ashore if there's a friendly harbor.

Basically, just wait for a bit and I'll tell you what date should probably go at the top there.

I wasn't suggesting a time skip, it was just a joke. If you are asking my opinion, though. I think we should quickly (2-3 posts) wrap up this confrontation at the border then work out on the OOC the next few weeks of fighting (how far URA pushes into Zhangua), then proceed from the point where Zhangua's allies arrive (so that other people can fully participate).
