1. What is the license plate format? For a normal vehicle, L-NNNN...-LL
2. What is the colour scheme and font? A normal vehicle is either black on white or white on black. Yellow on black is also seen rarely, as well as other colour combinations often based on local tradition.
3. What do individual characters mean? The first L is the type of vehicle, be it a motorcar, a carriage, a waggon, a lorry &c. The remaining numerals are issued numerically. The last two letters are the county code where the vehicle was registered.
4. Does a car have one plate for its life or does it get reregistered? A vehicle has its plate for life unless it is changed by the owner or the Board of Roads.
5. What can be found out from a plate number? The type of vehicle, and county it was registered in. In the records, the appearance of the vehicle, age, make, model, capacity, tax number, owner and his address are also listed.
6. License plate sizes. 4¼" high, and as wide as needed. The longest number place issued has been nearly three feet long.
7. What plates are required? A cast iron plate on the rear of a waggon, cart, carriage or other horse-drawn vehicle, and a cast iron plate on both the front and rear of motor vehicles.
8. Are there any special plate types? Yes; peers may obtain plates with the correct coronet. The coat of arms of the owner may also be cast onto the number plate.
9. What vehicles need license plates? All motorcars, vans, lorries , and most horse-drawn carriages, coaches, carts, waggons and other such vehicles, if and when used on public roads. Some farm equipment such as harrows and ploughs do not need number plates. Official Royal vehicles need not have plates, but usually do unless in a procession or ceremonial occasion.
10. Where can you find plate info? At one's local Board of Roads office records are kept for the number plates issued by that office, and it is possible for office staff to call other offices to obtain information.

1. What is the license plate format? ####-#-LL
2. What is the colour scheme and font? The font is a squareish font in black on a reflective silver background.
3. What do individual characters mean? The first four digits are an alphanumeric code (the numbers 0-9, the letters A-Z without I, Q, S and U to avoid confusion with other characters) to mark the individual car, the next digit is an alphanumeric digit that marks the year (it resets every 32 years, for example, 2855 is X, and 2887 will also be X, but it won't matter because most of the cars registered in 2855 will be replaced by then), the last two are a number code for the province where the vehicle was registered. The year and province markers are placed at the end of the registration plate so that the important identiftying marker (the number for the specific car) can be read quickly (as the year and province marker are less important - for example, if one is in the Province of Tælstine takes down the registration number 4FJP and knows that the car was a red hatchback, this knowledge is enough to find the full plate of the car, since cars registered in different years are likely to not be red hatchbacks)
4. Does a car have one plate for its life or does it get reregistered? Cars get reregistered, but they tend to keep the same registration plate.
5. What can be found out from a plate number? The year the car was registered and the province where it was registered.
6. License plate sizes: 300 mm x 72 mm
7. What plates are required? Just a regular registration plate
8. Are there any special plate types? No
9. What vehicles need license plates? Cars, motorcycles, buses, tractors
10. Where can you find plate info? At a vehicle registration/testing place, at the police station, on a government website.
11. An example plate:

Also the BBCode if anyone can't be bothered reformatting the questionnaire:

3. What do individual characters mean? First letter: region code. Space. Four numbers: sequentially assigned. Space. Two letters: sequentially assigned.
4. Does a car have one plate for its life or does it get reregistered? Owners have an option: a new plate and number may be registered with transfer of ownership or the previous plate number may be kept and a new plate with the original number will be stamped and delivered, unless the car is changing region in which case a new plate and number must be issued.
5. What can be found out from a plate number? Region of registration and, when the number is 'run,' owner, registration status, vehicle tax status, and insurance status.
6. License plate sizes. 520 by 110 mm for trucks and cars, 175 by 175 mm for motorcycles/scooters/etc.

8. Are there any special plate types? Yes. Government plate will have a blue background and white text with the emblem as a separator, no region code, and typically have a LNN LNN format. Diplomatic license plates will have red text and no region code. Electric vehicle (road-tax exempt) plates have a green circle text separator.
9. What vehicles need license plates? All motorized road vehicles

1. What is the license plate format? LLX-XXXXX (L = letter, X = alphanumeric).
2. What is the color scheme and font? White plate, black font (FE-Schrift, the German one). There is a coloured box on the left that signifies the type of plate (Military and emergency use their own Sub-division code).
3. What do individual characters mean? The two letters are a District Code, the character following is a sub-division code. The 5 alphanumeric characters are a random identifier.
4. Does a car have one plate for its life or does it get reregistered? It will generally have one plate for it's life, but it can be reregistered on request, or if the plates are stolen etc.
5. What can be found out from a plate number? The National Division and Subdivision of issue, and the vehicle's general category (the coloured top sticker, Green is a 5 star safety car, Yellow is a less-safe/less modern car (these are limited to 120km/h on motorways), Red is heavy vehicles, trailers, buses and classic cars (limited to 90km/h), Red/Green stripe is motorbike, Blue is emergency vehicle). It's possible to infer the year of registration based on the letters, since plates are issued in series. There is also a sticker identifying the emissions category of the vehicle, which is a black circle with a white number denoting the category. In electric vehicles, this emissions sticker is replaced by a green sticker with a white letter 'X'.
6. License plate sizes: 11cm tall, 52cm wide (the same size as german plates). Smaller, more square plates on motorcycles (I don't have an exact size).
7. What plates are required? Both front and back, except on motorcycles, where only rear is required.
8. Are there any special plate types? There are 3 types, Red box = regular, Blue box = emergency, Yellow box = military and government.
9. What vehicles need license plates? Every vehicle designed to travel roads under it's own power (an engine).
10. Where can you find plate info? http://unzuhde.duk.gg
11. An example plate: This plate is a standard (Red/civillian) plate. This particular plate is registered in Xagehkädiu (XK), in the subdivision identified by 'A'. The green sticker above the dash shows that this is a 5 Star safety rated car (this sticker is holographic with the government seal, and is required for the plate to be road legal, if it is removed you can't drive the car). The black circle sticker with a '5 below the dash shows that this car meets Category 5 (the same thing as Euro 5) emission standards (some cities require a minimum emission standard to drive a car in them).

Neither cars nor drivers need to be licensed in Fatatatutti. You can get a sticker with a registration number to help the police return your car if it is "borrowed".
