Stately - a NationStates app for Android

Love the app, but here are a few suggestions.
1) Add the color themes to the app.
2) fix spoiler functionality in bbcode if possible.
3) Add "World" page to menu or "Explore" page.

One quick question, what exactly are the cards containing news headlines that you get after issues. I like them, just not sure what they are or if you can do anything with them.

Spoiler tag support in the app could definitely be improved. How would you want spoilers to be shown? I'll look into adding a "World" section to the app as well.

The news headline cards are taken directly from this part of the issues results page on the NS site:

They seem to be based on how you answered the latest issue as well as your nation's stats. The images are randomly chosen from your unlocked banners.

Stately 1.5.0 is now out! Along with the usual bug fixes and improvements, this update adds the following features to the app:

• Improved RMB support! Post to any RMB where you have posting permissions. You can also like posts in your home region and see who's liked any RMB post.

• Census rankings and trends! Check out national and regional census rankings and discover historical trends for any census dataset.

Download or update to Stately 1.5.0 on the Google Play store. Feel free to post any comments, suggestions and questions here!

Aha! I just got my new phone last week so I was able to get Stately. It looks very clean and well done. I have a few things to mention:

BUG: when clicking on region links from a Telegram and from the Activity page, it brought me to a green screen and it said "Could Not Process Data From Nationstates."

And a few questions on planned features:

Will changing banners on the Nation screen ever happen?
Are you going to add the featured region and perhaps the world rankings to the "Explore" tab?
Do you plan to add support for Factbooks and dispatches?
Is it possible for you to code spoilers? I realize it's probably hard, I just want to know if it's on your todo list.
And finally, do you ever plan to add the forums to Stately?

These are loosely ordered from most to least expectance to be implemented. Again, these are just humble requests, the app as it is right now is astounding and I love what you've done with it. VERY good work.

I could imagine the difficulty of having to support the various BBCode formatting used in many factbooks. You'll probably have to get a lot of inspiration from the current mobile site for that. It's great to hear you're working on it, though!

Right now that's my only obstacle to using the app exclusively over the mobile site, is that I have to use the mobile site to get to the forums.

That's pretty weird -- the Activity page uses the same code as the Explore tab to open regions so both would usually fail together when there's a bug. I can open regions just fine on my end though so I can't reproduce this bug. Would you mind giving me the region name? You can send it to me via telegram if you'd like.

Yep, that would be a great starting point for factbooks! For the forums, it would be easy to just add a link on the navigation drawer, but the issue is that the forum isn't optimized for mobile to begin with, so it would be a bit of an awkward user experience.

I used all 3 of my nations that are main (this, Past The Danish Confederacy, and The Time Lord-Danish Confederacy). I like how you incorporate a sort of "auto switch" list that lets people get to puppets easier. I noticed that ocassionly I pressed a button and it did another thing, but that could be my 5 second memory and big thumbs. I also like the simplistic design.
That's all. Excellent app for the one who doesn't use the forums.

Make sure you have "Stay logged in" checked when you're logging into the NS website to stop that from happening.
