Christian Discussion Thread VII: The Christ Awakens.

This is the seventh version of the Christian discussion thread, where participants can discuss Christianity in general, the differences between the denominations, general comparative theology (both within and without Christianity), Church history, and many other topics.

While discussion naturally covers a broad range of themes, members of the moderation team (including those participating in the thread), may occasionally gently suggest that some topics might be best taken to a separate thread; this will usually only occur when a subject is itself the subject of discussion in recurring separate NSG threads and would risk dominating this thread if discussed here (examples include, but are not limited to, abortion, homosexuality, and/or the existence of the historical Jesus).

I hope Arch doesn't mind I plagiarised for the OP. :blush:

Jokes aside, and I've recently discussed this was Conscentia, I'm drawn to the Christian faith for a plethora of reasons. Coming from irreligion, I can say that a combination of deeply profound personal experiences, research, rereading the New Testament, and exploring the historical validity/records of Jesus Christ has drawn me back to Christianity.

Well it's new, so it shoudn't be that big of a deal to reset it but I think it only resets if the OP changes any options. I think changing it to allow changing one's vote doesn't cause a reset. It's been a while since I made a thread with a poll though, so my memory is unclear on the matter.

Removing it would leave one blank space, and Archregimancy didn't suggest a replacement. I suggested "Cultural Christian" might be an interesting new inclusion, and quoted that in the post reminding the need for poll refinement. I don't think Archregimancy voiced an opinion on that. OP evidently decided to just keep Messianic Jew.
