THE SPARKS TO IGNITE A GREAT FLAME(MT, IC, DIPLOMATIC)

Postby Great Feng » Mon Mar 28, 2016 4:24 pm

The ancient palace of the Feng Lords sat nestled neatly between the urban sprawl and high-tech skyscrappers that had sprung up around it since the modern era had taken hold of the city. It served as a strange and yet poignant reminder of the nation's history, a great wooden castle, arranged in an elongated rectangular fashion that peaked in slanted tiling that was carefully replaced every so often to preserve the buildings authenticity. It wasn't the tallest, the great glass towers held that honor, and it certainly wasn't the biggest; yet somehow this building that had been constructed when paper and planks were the most common building material still seemed to dominate all around it.
Gravitas was the word, it had an immeasurable sense of gravitas that seemed to permeate deeply into the mind of anyone who gazed upon it. This was the heart of the Feng nation, the soul, and at the moment the trouble brain. For while the exterior remained spotless, immaculate even; trouble was brewing in the confines of the building. The sort of trouble that toppled kings and shattered nations, the sort of trouble that years of careful policy crafting and international politic-ing had sought to avoid...

"YOU DID WHAT"? The emperor screamed at the Feng ambassador to the IFC.
The dark-haired and decidedly young Feng Emperor was normally considered handsome by his contemporaries, his face bearing a sort of boyish charm that made him both appealing and comforting in a natural way that seemed to set people at ease. But, if said contemporaries could gaze upon his face now, contorted in rage and disgust at what he was hearing, their ruling would have been decidedly different...

"I-I was drunk and didn't mean to sire! I'm sorry!" The ambassador bumbled. "How was I supposed to know that the L&A Delegate would ban us anyway? Also, I'm sorry for drinking before going to the meeti-"

"ENOUGH! YOU HAVE FUCKING RUINED EVERYTHING FOR US! YOU'RE FUCKING FIRED!" Yan shouted, scaring the young man. He then turned off the screen, slumped back into his chair, and facepalmed himself.
Now what? That fucking idiot ruined everything. He though to himself. I can't believe he acted so stupid. How could he have acted so idiotically?
He sighed, and clenched his left fist, then punched his computer, then yelped when it twisted his wrist while punching it, hurting him a little.
Cradling his left hand, he began thinking of what would happen next.
Sure the The United Remnants of America(URA) and Roski will take advantage of this. They despise Feng with a passion.
Remembering those two nations brought a "thump" in his head. Another headache, caused by those two nations. He sighed, and swallowed some Tylenol washed down with water.
They will no doubt use "Feng aggression" and "Feng Imperialism" as an excuse to gather allies to declare war on Feng.
So if that's so...I need to gather Feng's allies.

He frowned when he thought that. Many of Feng's allies were in the IFC, or had ties with Roski or URA. The only reliable allies nearby was Topkekkia, Togeria, Mangjukoia and New Tuva SSR. The first one was a historical Feng ally, the second and third were in Feng's Quadruple alliance(Which also had Aravea as a member but Aravea had looser ties in the alliance), while the last despite being Communist, had traded with Feng in the past and was considered a honorary ally despite their Communist nature. Also, they were key in blocking Roskian military moves east so they were a crucial ally, despite being a government type which Feng officially disliked and disapproved of.
Togeria and Topkekkia had key locations in the Pacific as well, making them key in protecting Feng.
As well, Feng had The Royally United Provinces as a key ally in western Europe, not to mention North Timeria holding Brazil. These allies would likely be the first to respond to Feng's request for help.
The empire of Organized States would likely help the URA, making for a very dangerous potential base against Feng that could be used to attack Feng from the Ryukyu Islands.
When he reached the Ryukyu Island issue, he bit his lip.

He had two options: Launch a surprise preemptive strike to capture the Ryukyus, or let it be a potential base for an invasion by the anti-Feng coalition.
Right when debating that issue, his uncle, the Prime Minister/President of the Feng Royal Republic, Lulong Yin, walked into the room, looking disturbed. He glanced at Yan, and Yan instantly knew why.

"So, you heard." He mumbled.

"Of course I heard. I'm a President, not a damn homeless person." Lulong snapped. "To think your ambassador would do something so stupid-"
"Don't worry Uncle, he's been fired already." Yan interrupted.
"It doesn't matter, the damage has already been done. The URA and Roskians will doubtless not hesitate to use this opportunity while Feng has less diplomatic allies than usual. What do you expect to do about this?" He asked.
That's when Yan surprisingly grinned at his uncle. His uncle was started and felt his heart quicken a bit by the sudden change of mood in his nephew.
"This may look like a bad situation-And I won't lie, it likely is. But this is also an opportunity to finally rid us of our enemies. As such, I'll try to take the opportunistic style of looking at things." He told his Uncle.
"But our people don't want a war-I mean, they would gladly fight for our great country and die, but they don't want to die just to prove our superiority." His uncle lectured him.
"Of course they don't. But this isn't about Feng's cultural superiority-It's about preserving Feng's pride as a nation and proving other nations can't push us around. The people would hate it if we were pushed around like some lightweight. They would demand we defend our nation.

His uncle nodded. "That is true. However, we must first attempt diplomacy. If we jump to war, we will sound like the aggressors. Also, do you plan for conquering territory for Feng in this war?"

Yan waved his hand while laughing. "Oh heavens no, that'd make us seem like Imperialists. The age of the empire is over, since we became a democratic confederation. Feng is no longer an "East Asian superpower": It is a multi-ethnic democratic union with Feng being it's heart, but not the only important part of it."

Lulong nodded. "Just as I expect from you. I suppose you'd agree to white peace or minor land gains or money payments for nations who surrender?"
Yan nodded back. "Of course. Though I may replace their governments with democracies if they are dictatorships, or executive constitutional monarchies, depending on how much they like or hate constitutional monarchies. However, the main gains for Feng here will be diplomatic, not territorial or monetary gain."

Lulong nodded, and sat back in his chair.
"So you intend to call in the Quadruple Alliance?"
"Yes."
"Understood. I'll get to work to contacting the other nations as soon as possible."

Afterwards, the two leaders stood up, nodded at each other, and walked out of the room.

BREAKING NEWS!
The Feng Royal Confederation has been kicked from the IFC after the ambassador drunkenly announced Feng's withdraw from the IFC and when he was sober and tried to get Feng back into the IFC, Feng was denied. The URA officially announced that they would be preparing for a possible war with the Feng Empire, whilst the Feng government condems these actions and have placed sanctions on the URA and their allies and vassals. They have also began drilling troops and the Emperor has been on record as saying "Feng is not afraid of war, but warns URA of the possible escalation it may have and calls for URA to attempt a diplomatic solution instead of causing the deaths of millions of lives for the sake of destroying the Feng."
The Feng government also staged a military parade in Yujing today, where roughly 100,000 troops took place, in an effort to show the world the power and pride of Feng. There are also reports that nationalism in Feng is at an all-time high and many people are volunteering to fight for their nation against any other possible nation.
As tensions begin escalating, and the Feng government is beginning to openly rally it's allies to it's side for a possible war despite calling for a diplomatic solution instead of such a war, the question is raised: Will this erupt into a war between the URA and the Feng?

We will most surely support Feng in its time of need. Our nations have been allies for a century now, and that's not a thing I'm willing to change. In fact, I will be personally attending the summit in Yujing.

TOPKEKKIAN NEWS NETWORK

In a recent error by the Feng ambassador to the IFC, Feng finds itself surrounded by foes. However, the parliament and the assembly have decided to stand by Feng in this crisis, ready to face whatever may come as a result. Many have questioned this line of action, seeing it as a foolhardy way to find the nation at war against large powers such as the URA, but the two groups have stood by their choices. Speaker Maximilian Phyrexus has announced today that he will personally be attending a summit at Yujing about the matter, and seeks to more officially unify the so called "Quadruple Alliance" that revolves around Feng.

Speaker Phyrexus's Office, Sevick, The People's Republic of Topkekkia
"Sir, you do realize what your stance on this matter could mean for the nation, do you not?" asked Victoria Caldwell from her seat in front of Maximilian's desk. "This might drag us into another war, one to rival the US-Sperlish War, at least."
"I'm very aware of that," spoke Maximilian, surprisingly calm for a man whose actions might kick off a global conflict. "If we reject Feng in this matter, we reject the ability to trade our goods in the majority of the South China Sea, our largest market. I simply can't risk that. Besides, killing an alliance that's existed since the First World War is generally a bad idea, wouldn't you say?"
"Well, yes, but--" said Victoria, before she was interrupted by Maximilian.
"But we simply can't afford to not help Feng. Even if we do avoid this mess in the beginning, without our help, it could get worse and come over here anyway. And if it comes here, I'd like to be at least able to proudly say that we stuck by our allies, even in the darkest night."

Of Shadows and Fire [Chapter 1]

Postby Aeyariss » Mon Mar 28, 2016 8:43 pm

OF SHADOWS AND FIRE

Black Castle
Administration Complex of the Chancellor of the Realm

"I suppose this is what happens when a third rate developing nation, with a third class mentality sends a drunkard to the represent their sorry excuse of a nation." Chancellor Hanzo was amused, upon hearing the news that had taken place out of the International Freedom Coalition hall, where the Feng delegate reported to have threaten the entire IFC after appearing before their council drunk. Embarrassing, and plain stupid.

"At least their Emperor Yan spared his life; he only got fired... he ought to have his head beheaded, Chancellor" said the Foreign Minister, Lady Mineira von Hoffman whose turn to brief the Cabinet in the routine Tuesday meeting that morning. Chancellor Hanzo laughed, probably this is one of the most ridiculous development from abroad, he thought.

"Alright, even about the so called 'Great' Feng is dumber than we thought - hell, a pestilent nation like them, someone ought to deal with them - so, anything else about them?"

"Chancellor, I heard rumblings that with the removal of the Feng from the IFC, they had lost their reliable security umbrella, and already...I hear some nations - they too, of course having a good laugh from this stupidity- are in the process of, shall we say...taking an extra interest and may have something in 'dealing' with them."

"Ooh.." Chancellor Hanzo eyes widened in interest. Lady Mineira turned to the Director of Secret Service.

"Patrick, can you brief the Chancellor on what you've told me earlier this morning."

"Sir. the atmosphere in the international circle is pretty jubilant, with the removal of the Feng from the IFC, the Fengs is without any security umbrella to protect them against foreign powers, they are becoming even weaker at this moment. From my sources, SACTO - through one of their members - had intentions of dividing up the Fengs, already setting up the Eastern Feng Trading Company, and we expect they will move against the Feng."

"God, I know...their Shogun had a keen interest; the Scramble for Feng they called it, I suppose it will be like China in the 19th century. We cannot let the world violates the Feng territorial integrity however." commented the Chancellor, rubbing his chin.

"Mister Chancellor, " Defense Minister spoke up, "but we do not have resources to commit either. Besides, troubles in Fengs will benefits us even more and neither do we have any strategic interest with their nations. If SACTO moves against the Fengs in the future, perhaps it's best if we allows the other world predators to hunt down lesser prey."

"Or we can work with those 'predators' and carve the Fengs for ourselves. Truth is, they are becoming a failed states, and as a strong and democratic nation like us, it is our responsibility to guide the children of the world into a more progressive and path, it is our manifest destiny, the Aeyariss Empire has so much to offer to the young nations of the world." Lady Mineira interjected. Old habits die hard.

"Lady Mineria, need I remind you that Aeyariss is a republic now, and please, we are responsible to the people of this nation, and to the elected officials in the Parliament. I don't think that they will take things too lightly if we are to return to the old militaristic path like we did during SACTO days. The scourge of the militaristic right wing in the nation had take the toll on the society."

"Apologies, Mr. Chancellor. Tradition and cultures, I guess. Aeyariss is after all is the Eternal Realm, and it is our destiny to pacify the barbarian outside of our continent. The people while they appreciate your liberal policies and their civil rights, they too placed greater emphasize in our administration to fulfill our national goals, failure to satisfy the nationalist may have a negative repercussion during the next election. The people like it when we achieve glorious things abroad, and we cannot simply revert into a hippie-pacifist that does nothing while tyrants do whatever they want, can we?"

"No we cannot. But our military, at 2 million is too small to take the role as world police."

"Perhaps, we should not downsized our active military just to get the budget deficit controlled. Now we are slightly weakened."

"No, His Majesty's Armed Forces is as strong as ever. Besides we still have good relations with SACTO, nations that we can call upon in times of need. But that is not the issue here. The thing we have to decide is, whether or not to make the Feng one of the central key issue in our future national and foreign interests; while I do understand they the lobbyist are calling for further exploration of the Feng market - they do possess some resources and have a large untapped market as well - something that we can invest in order to further expand our economy, the question I should ask is, should we, the elected government plays a greater role in this whole Feng 'issue' at the expense of the tax payers?"

That evoke a clamor around the table.

"No, this Feng issue is really not an issue at all, Mr. Chancellor," it was Lady Mineira again, "The public sector is already overstretched with our domestic projects and such and we should not take the Feng too seriously, however, if the rest of the world decided to deal with their pestilent nation, than it will be in our best interest to take some thing for us in order to protect their society from repressive tyrants or dictators. I believe it's best to wait and see. However, I have a suggestion if I may, Mr. Chancellor?"

"Yes, what is it?"

"If we are, officially, is not going to take any sort of public interest...then perhaps we should utilize the expertise in our private sectors to do the right thing for us, Mr. Chancellor - certainly, the tax payers won't be affected too much."

"What do you have in mind?"

Winston Palace, Winston, RUP

"Sir, are you sure about this?" It was all the speechless advisor to Emperor Leo could muster. He had only just informed his majesty of the incidents involving Feng. This although anyone with at least a brain knew the happenings of Feng. It was front page material for the whole week. It was the shooting range target for comedians and late night hosts. Politicians ate up what the game plan should be. Would it be to protect the long time ally or ignore them. But this was laying in the ears and eyes of the Emperor. His answer came quickly. The now almost thirty year old answered with speed telling anyone that he already thought out what he wanted to say.

"It's what Uncle Aleks and Grandfather would want. I would be ashamed if I didn't live up to and honor our binding. It's held us together. And birds of a feather flock together." He wasn't sure if he had hit the saying exactly as it went but confidence was key. "Thank you for informing me Robert, you are dismissed for the morning." The advisor bowed to his Emperor and exited, leaving Leo III in his private study. This left him time to think. He sat at his desk to compose his message to the world and more importantly to Feng. It was truly from his heart that he wanted to follow what his grandfather and great uncle had done. It was their power and success he strived to mimic. He returned his focus to his message.

Hello,

We write to you today as allies. Allies that have stuck together since the dawn of our awakening. As we are conjoined to fight together as we have before, I sit here today to inform you that we as a nation hear your call and stand ready to accept the challenge of defending your freedom and all that you and I hold dear. Things that we hold true to us as people. It is the value of our alliance that brings us to commit our full aid to you and your people. Whether this will be an uphill battle or one we can coast through, though I highly doubt, we will and can prevail. We will fight together! We will eat together! We will celebrate together! We will claim victory together!

His Imperial Majesty,

President Raul Vaz had heard about the mishap between the IFC and Feng. After it occurred the President gathered his staff for an emergency Security Council meeting. ”We all know why we’re here… Feng seems to bit in a bit of trouble and things could become a serious problem quickly. We need to discuss our path and what role we will take in this.” President Vaz spoke with authority.
The Secretary of State Vítor Madruga slid a folder over to the President. ”Currently our file on the situation… It’s not much but we’re still working on it. It contains things like possible actions from the URA, who will support Feng, and the Ryukyu Islands. A small chain of islands south of Japan; We’re considering that a possible launching point for an invasion.”
”I’ll look over it tonight Secretary.”

”Sir, the Navy has carriers patrolling the pacific. I’m sure they could help keep an eye on things.” Secretary of Defense Yasmin Silveira then gestured over to Admiral Lino Santos the commander of the Pacific Fleet.
”Sir, we currently have the NTS Shark in position to perform surveillance.” he grabbed a tablet and showed the President an animation. ”Here we have the NTS Shark along with a few escort craft. It is currently north of Guam and could easily move into position to launch drones and keep an eye on the area for a while.” The animation showed the ship moving west a bit and then launching a drone to conduct reconnaissance.
”Let’s do it… Make sure that drone isn't shot down… I want it to practice strict rules but gather as much intel as possible.”

Everyone then looked at the President ”Yes. We will officially pledge our support for Feng… Secretary of State please notify Feng and arrange me a press conference for this afternoon.”
”Sir one last thing…Die erworbenen Namen could possibly oppose Feng and that could put us at risk…If war breaks out our southern border could be at risk.” The Secretary of State said this with regret.
”Well then… Try to arrange a meeting and we’ll send an ambassador to work things out. If the meeting fails or they reject we wait to see what happens… If war breaks out we’ll strike first.”
”Sir, the 16th Mountain division will be finishing up an exercise at Fort Lighting in 2 days. We could easily move them south to São Paulo. I propose we set up a military parade as cover for the move. Once it’s over we’ll have them stay in the area a while.” the 4 star general had a pretty good idea. ”Do it.” the President approved.

”Good afternoon. I wanted to take this time to announce that we will be standing beside Great Feng no matter what. Feng is a crucial ally and friend. Also our ally RUP has pledged its support and it is best that we do the same. We do not expect anything to come from this but we are simply stating our position and making sure the international community knows where we stand”

"Those Imperialist Feng dogs have finally dug their own grave..." Khaled al-Asad muttered to himself upon reading the news that the drunk Feng delegate withdrew from the IFC, and was denied re-entry to the IFC.

Tensions between the United Remnants of America and Feng were rising and the threat of war neared. If war did break out, there was no doubt that Bahtar would support the URA because of their close ties and hatred for Imperialists. An Advisor stood on the other side of Supreme Leader Khaled's desk and the Supreme Leader looked at him.

"I want the number of guards on the Feng-controlled Iraq border upped, just to keep a lookout." said Khaled.

The advisor nodded and retrieved a pen and notepad from his pocket. He began writing down things. "Well sir, we have 4,000 paramilitary Border Guards spanning the Iraq-border, so we can get another 4,000 out from the police force." said the advisor.

Al-Asad nodded. "Great, that's all I need." he said.

The advisor was about to walk out before Al-Asad called him again. "I had just forgotten. Tell my secretary to contact the URA," added Khaled.

The Advisor then wrote down something in the notepad for one last time before continuing on. Khaled sunk back into his chair and smirked.

Feng Banned from International Freedom Coalition
Français|日本語|한국어|English
Newsroom Today | Kirishinan Broadcasting Corporation

Bonjour et Kon'nichiwa, welcome back to Newsroom Today on the KBC Network, I'm Jwa Ji Woo. As of yesterday The Feng Royal Confederation is no longer considered a member of the International Freedom Coalition. The shocking turn of events occurred when the Royal Confederation willing withdrew from the alliance only to be barred from reentry. Feng media reports that the incident stemmed from General-Ambassador Hong Zhou making an emotional driven move while intoxicated. We head over to Kirishinan IFC ambassador, 2 time fmr foreign minister of the alliance and new member of the Judaical Committee Junko Yamada.

Jwa Ji Woo: Ms. Ambassador we do not have much information to go by as we were not in the council room and Feng media simply referring to the ambassador being drunk. What do you make of the dismissal of Feng?

Junko Yamada: To be honest I think that the Ambassador of Feng must've always been drunk. The rhetoric that was used in the chamber and the protesting acts that the ambassador performed before leaving is consistent to how he has always acted in the IFC. The notion that it was the alcohol that made him do it has nothing to do with anything.

Jwa Ji Woo: So are you saying the claims are false?

Junko Yamada: I am simply saying that based on what I witness on a daily basis, in my opinion the only way Hong Zhou was drunk would be if he was always drunk and he has been good at hiding it.

Jwa Ji Woo: I see Thank You, and what do you make of Feng not being allowed to return to the International Freedom Coalition?

Junko Yamada:I support it 200% Feng was, is, and always will be one of the most inconsistent nations that Kirishima has ever dealt with. Feng is unreliable and seemingly do not treasure membership. First of all before Feng even left the alliance, Ambassador Hong Zhou had threatened Feng protesting things they did not like with leaving the alliance being chief among them. Also let's not forget this is not the only time Feng has been kicked out of the IFC, Resolution 59 in the council way back had Feng expelled for not being democratic enough so this is not a new issue.[1]

Jwa Ji Woo: Thank you for taking time to speak with us today.

Junko Yamada: Thank you for having me.

Meanwhile back here at home people took to the streets to celebrate Feng being barred reentry into the IFC. Last night demonstrations happened in various places throughout the country including here in the capital, where people gathered around Ikaros Park. Some sat silently with anti Feng shirts aying things like "who needs Feng but a majority were worse. From spitting on the Feng Flag, to to walking on Feng Flags, to burning of the Feng Flag things did not get better as even the Emperor Yan was a target. Pictures of him were burned, slashed among other worse things including street vendors selling bath tissues with the Feng Flag and Emperor Yan printed on it. One protester screamed to a megaphone "Good riddance Feng can rot in Kūdō, who the hell do they think they are all high and mighty always trying to increase influence. Maybe a timeout from the IFC will humble them."

Dirigeant Arata Kasuga who was not in the nation at the time had a statement that neither commended or condemned the protest, stating: "The Kirishinan people have spoken up about a neighbor that we as a nation has had mistrust with for a very long time. The people are happy that they no longer obligated to protect the people of Feng and have the right to celebrate that. Peaceful demonstrations are always encouraged and so long as this follows the same trend as the Cuscatlan Protest, there should be no issues. We have law enforcement keeping an eye on things to make sure things stay under control with no harm to individuals or property. Any act that violates the well being of individuals or property will be handled sternly."

According to Feng Media there are already concerns of a possible war while the Feng government has reportedly placed sanctions on the URA and it's allies. With Kirishima as an ally of the URA by extension of the IFC it is unclear whether the sanctions apply to the nation and if so what type of sanctions. However the main reactions out of Heiwa seems to be "On what authority" and "Just try to enforce a sanction on us" Now onto our next story...

The Spanish monarch was watching the news about the Great Feng. He wanted to expand his realm and those mineral-rich Feng's provinces were very attractive. He called in his war cabinet. Some were saying that Spain should declare war immedaitley while others advised to wait and wait for The Feng to devour itself. The monarch decided to wait and decreased diplomatic relations with Feng

SECRET IC:
SCENE: Meeting Room Delta, 3rd Sub-Basement, Shazbotdom Imperial Palace

The room was at a dead silence. Larry just stated something that no one within the room wanted to hear. War. The last war ended very well for the Empire, but this time it seemed different. The Ministers in attendance, as well as the two Marine Corps Generals in attendance, sat there with their mouths shut. The Grand Admiral, head of the entirety of the Empire's Military, finally broke the silence as he stood up from his position.
"As it stands right now," Jim started slowly, "the Military is on high alert as it pertains to other situations, but we do have the manpower to redirect some troops for the war effort." He pushes some buttons on the table in front of him, four televisions built into the walls became active and displayed a spreadsheet. "These troops can be deployed at a moments notice. Although, I am sure my counterparts from the other Ministries will echo my call for a diplomatic solution before we decide on where and when to begin our attack." There are some murmurs from those in attendance. "But, just in case things go south, I can put in a call and have those forces mobilized within the next 24 hours as needed."
"It is settled then," Larry stated, standing up from his position at the head of the table. "Send the order. The Military shall be prepared for anything. I was a coded communication sent to Roski and the United Remnants of America that the Empire stands ready to assist them." He then punches a button on his end of the table. "Generals, your men are to be prepared as soon as possible. I want the first couple waves of them on the Battle Group as soon as possible so when the order is given for them to ship out, we can have everything available." The generals nodded and left.
The room cleared out quickly after the meeting, with everyone going to varied elevators throughout the basement complex of the Imperial Palace. Larry went back up to the Residential Suite of the Palace. He would now prepare his speech for the populace. In another part of the building, the Grand Admiral was making his way towards his office in the Executive Wing. He punched in some keys on his computer and dispatched a notice to the entirety of the forces that he hand picked for the mission at hand.

*25 minutes later*

Meanwhile, in the Residence, Larry was finishing up the touches on the message that he was prepared to send to the Allies. Checking for any inconsistencies, he hit a few buttons and dispatched it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of whom would send it to those who needed to see it.

The time has come for the world to see, the Feng Empire's Destiny. For the time of their Judgement is upon us. Their insolence and the immaturity of their Leadership has proved to the world that they are nothing but a ticking time-bomb, one of Nuclear Potential. When they don't get their way, they throw a drunken fit and run off, such as they did with their membership within the International Freedom Coalition right in the middle of a Summit that they were hosting.
Their leadership is a stain on the Diplomatic and International Communities. Although the people of the Empire have called for their leaders to be dethroned in a manner that would help the Feng Empire garner more responsible, intelligent and mature leadership that will not cause any strife with the International Community, we will be pushing for a Diplomatic Solution to the crisis as it currently stands. If the Feng do not cease their military buildup, as has been noticed via Satellite Intelligence, then we will withdraw our hope for a Diplomatic Solution. Nothing is True; Everything is Permitted. Veritas Omnia Vincit.

Okuma Beach
Okinawa
Pacific Commonwealth

"You know, I can see why people like WestPac after that." said Major Ethan Thomas as he walked with the skim board up from the beach and up towards the squadron's pavilion. Skimboarding was a delicate art. It was surfing in essence, just on a far smaller scale. Instead of riding the larger waves further from shore, you'd ride the smaller, more focused waves in shallow water. It was great for the rockier beaches that were common throughout the Ryukyus, Micronesia, and the Marianas, which sat on the far-end of the Pacific Commonwealth. It was far from the North Shore surfing scene that was found in Oahu County, home to the state capital of Honolulu, but it provided thrills nonetheless.

"I can too, man. I love it out here. Thank god that they turned this place over to the Pacific Commonwealth. Military government's first sergeant probably wouldn't allow that." laughed Captain Scott Mazatti in his West Orange accent as he struggled through the sand with his element leader, skimboard in tow.

"Oh man, don't let the Vice Commander hear that. You know how tight him and the First Sergeant are. You wouldn't want a posting to Keflavik, would you?" replied Thomas as they came to the beach showers, quickly washing away all of the sand and dirt that had accumulated during their time on the water. Today was a great day for the 44th Fighter Squadron's annual picnic, a cool breeze blew across the beach, not a cloud in sight too. The kids from the Squadron's families all splashed in the water or built sandcastles on the beautiful white sand beach that was saved from the big swells by a massive cliff line that helped form the cove.

"You know, I seriously considered doing a hardship assignment just so I can come back here again." replied Mazatti. "Keflavik was the highest on that list. Shit you not."

"I hear its nice during the summer, but that you'll hate your life during the winters."

"You know, I already hate the winters here, godforbid I go there. Maybe I'll stave off the hardship and just go to Shaw or some shit like that." laughed Mazatti, who started to say something before being interrupted by the sound of jet engines over the bay. They looked up to see two F-35As in a tight formation

"Who's that, the 67th? Taking photo ops or some shit like that?" asked Thomas.

"No, that's not our tail code. Looks like a, uh, WW?" replied Mazatti as he strained to read the tail codes on the back of the quickly moving F-35As.

"Wait, if it's WW, doesn't that mean that the someone from the 35th is in town?" Thomas said.

"Probably. But I thought they moved to Wheeler, permanently?"

"You know, I wouldn't be surprised if they were moving assets into town because of that noise the Feng is making about this place. As usual. I'll head over to the BX at Naha and check it out on the way back."

Andersen AFB
Yigo, Guam
Pacific Commonwealth

Image

Located on the northern tip of Guam, more or less within the boundaries of the municipalities of Yigo and Dededo, the two of the largest "towns" on the island, sat Andersen Air Force Base, home to the 43d Air Refueling Wing of the Organized States Air Force's Strategic Air Command and with it, the wing's 24 Boeing KC-46 Pegasus. Additionally, Andersen was home to a number of rotational OS Marine Corps, OS Navy, and OS Air Force units along with the local components of the Pacific Commonwealth Air National Guard. Additionally, March, in particular, was a special time of the year for Andersen. Andersen played home to the annual "Cope North" exercises in which dozens of aircraft from throughout the OS Military and regional coalition partners met to conduct combined force operations, specifically mirroring combat against air and naval assets. And at the heart of this exercise were the mighty B-1Bs of the 7th Bomb Wing.

Capable of supersonic speeds and precision bombing and equipped with the latest in Electronic Warfare capabilities, the B-1B was a force to be reckoned with. It was without a doubt one of the best bombers in theater. Lt. Colonel Rick Olivas was sure as hell glad to be flying it, but not today. A ship, identified as a North Timerian aircraft carrier and specifically as the NTS Shark, had been spotted to the north. Thusly, Marine Corps and Navy assets, specifically a P-8 Poseidon and a flight of four F/A-28s, that were in Tinian for Forager Fury were going to be the first on-scene. Additionally, Andersen's simulated Joint Air Operations Center, suddenly thrust into the real world, dispatched 4 F-35As and 2 B-1Bs to back the Navy aircraft and monitor the situation, with all of this being coordinated by a Navy E-2D. The Timerians were about to be keenly aware that they were in OS waters and that such visits will not go unnoticed.

"Good day to go flying, eh, sir?" said Major Adam Jacobs, the aircraft's senior combat systems officer, who held the role of managing the aircraft's offensive systems such as the bombs, missiles, and whatever types of ordinance deemed needed for the mission. He greeted Olivas with a prompt salute before he climbed onto the aircraft, following his much junior counterpart, 1st. Lieutenant Elias Tennyson, who managed the aircraft's defensive and electronic warfare systems.

"That it is. Unfortunately, not under the circumstances I would like." replied Olivas, who followed in boarding the aircraft not long after completing his pre-flight checks. After cross-checking his kneeboard with his co-pilot, Captain Arnold Baker, they immediately moved to taxi on to Runway 6R, one of the longest runways in the Pacific with a length of over 11,000 feet.

"Boys, are you ready?" said Olivas before he immediately pushed the B-1's throttle forward, increasing the power and lifting the sleek bomber off of the runway and into the sky, heading due North to challenge the Timerian force.

Chapter 2: POLITICS [SIC]

Postby Aeyariss » Thu Mar 31, 2016 7:05 am

POLITICS

Peacemaker International Group HQ
Greater Archangel,

Sometime after the Cabinet meeting...

"I am sorry Madam Minister while your proposal is interesting unfortunately our company will not be able to accept this contract pertaining the Feng Issue at this time, someone else had already acquired our services, and we have already signed an MOU." Kenneth Harding, Chairman of the biggest defense and PMC conglomerate in the Republic didn't actually sounded sorry, in fact he was more to indifferent. That answer however shook the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"I am afraid you had just wasted your time to come all the way down here, Lady Mineira. We're fully booked."

"Can you elaborate on that, please?" The government official regained her composure.

"Not at this time, but I can assure you, our decision to support this foreign power is in line with the official policy of our great Empire. I assure you of this. Let's just say this particular clientele of us had taken a keen interest in reshaping the Feng Barbarians... and to put their national resources for a more, 'productive ends' through the free market process..." Harding smiled knowingly.

"Ah..." the realization came moments after that, and slowly, she allowed herself to smile as well.

"Perhaps, that is the best decision,...officially Aeyariss will remain a neutral power, and through this particular third party who wishes to act on our behalf - indirectly, unknowingly - through the use of your Group particular expertise I can at least convey my confidence that this Feng Issue will be resolved. However, I am concern that it means we will have no rights whatsoever when it comes to dividing up and claiming future rewards and incentive gained through this...enterprises."

"Still too early to conclude that Madam Minister. Our client is particular about one thing though; when this is over...chances are they might not be anything of value left in Feng. We are especially instructed, I quote, "to cleanse the Heathen Fengs with the wrath of the Holy Inferno, and bring upon the Judgment of the Gods upon the wicked".

"Sounds like you have quite a fanatical client, Mr. Chairman."

"Oh, we're not interested in the politics, or the religious preferences of our client...we're hired for a specific mission, and we do our job to to accomplish them, and we're damn good at them."

"Then may I ask, who actually requested this service?"

"A wealthy foreign groups, and a long time arch enemy of the Fengs who merely wishes to reclaim their land are all I can say... more than that, I cannot divulge, but I am sure one of your secret service group can track this order pretty soon, which my Company may or may not confirm or deny, you know the rules of this industry Lady Mineira. The new government can keep it hands clean while other do the dirty jobs that Aeyariss military use to do. What a fascinating age we live in."

"Well, long live the Revolution."

"Say, since you are here...I understand that some quarters in the Independence Green Party wishes to submit a bill to Parliament to push forward the Private Secularization Act to be tabled in Parliament...may I inquire, what is the position of your Party concerning this new law?"

"The Democratic Socialist Party, though socialist in nature is liberal at its core...we believe in liberalization of the market, the less government intrusion in it, the better. Free market allows for more open competition that drives up the competition of all the players which can only be good for the end user, people on the streets, our voters. Free market allows greater growth of the economy, and while we still control the Central Bank, it allows for the government to enforce more welfare program for the state."

"Yes, state capitalism in essence. Say, I am not trying to imply to buy votes...but there are many in the industries who believes that this Act will hinder the growth of the defense industries particularly those in the PMC area like us. What will it take for it to be defeated in Parliament? "

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that... the Green merely controls about %30 of the seats, the DSP and the Liberal Coalition controls over 60%; if the private sectors can assist in fostering the socialist-liberalism projects in this Republic, I am sure...something can be arranged when the time arise."

"Well, actually, in return for our rendered service in this Feng Issues, we have been granted future concession in some interesting areas for 'redevelopment'. Well, while we have the means to achieve the military ends...our company is neither suited for the economic nor political redevelopment of that country; perhaps...we can sell those rights to Government Linked Companies - owned of course by some prominent 'Socialist' members of the DSP, will that be enough to see that bill squashed? If it succeeds, we might even be interested to donate to the DSP for the next general elections."

"Oh, that would be wonderful...I am sure the Secretary General will be interested in hearing what you have to say."

"Then we will meet again soon to follow up on this Feng Final Solution with a more detailed proposal... and bilateral Treaty."

"Yes, that sounds wonderful...well perhaps my visit here is not too unproductive after all... Feng Final Solution, heh...that reminds of the Jews."

(Kenneth Harding's phone on the table rings)

"Yes, Nat?" the Chairman picks it up, "Yes, sure, send them in."

"Lady Mineira, sorry for the interruption but I want to introduce you to someone...important mover of our Peacemaker International Groups." Ken Harding rose up, buttoning his jacket. The twin door behind them swung open, an a balding Transwellian man in PIGs black military uniform strode in smartly. He looked intimidating, but also projected strong confidence.

"Ah, welcome home General Yaegar. Madam Minister, please meet the man who will enforce the Final Solution upon those Fengs. Alex, this is Lady Mineria, our Foreign Minister." Kenneth Harding voice become soft, almost cheerful.

"General Yaegar? Were you the one responsible for the so called Final Kaboonist Solutions? I heard that you were killed in that civil war?" Lady Mineria tried to hide her disgust, little did she knew that one of the most famous wanted man in Africa.

"You must have mistook me for Preident Yaegar, and no I have no ties whatsoever with the Kaboonist Incident, maam. But I am the man responsible for the Great Purification Purge of Transwell...but that was many, many years ago." General Yaegar smiled.

"Please to meet you, General. The late President Johan Yaegar had been a great friend to the former Empire. A pity he did not live to see the end of the Civil War."

"Actually I thank God he did not live to see what happens to both of Transwell and Kaboona. But I am over it, Madam Minister." he turned to the Chairman. "Kenneth, I have report on Program-K Solution, perhaps we should continue it sometime if you are otherwise occupied."

"Ah, alright, please wait."

"I am so sorry Madam Minister, but it looks like our appointment time is up."

"It seem so, Mr. Chairman, I am sure you two have some important business to discuss."

"Yes, yes. I will contact you again Madam Minister."

Hochburg, DEN
Central Command

"Very well, then. What's next on the list?" Marshal Emperor Maximus put the paper he had just signed into the pile to his right, and leaned back in his chair as Vladimir, his aide, thumbed a few more pages. Both were tired after a long day, filled with paperwork and the failure of the Feng diplomat. That was the highlight of their day, having heard of the drunken tirades of the idiots there. But still, it was an international thing that had sparked more than one bit of tension between nations.

"Well, sir, that seems to be about it... " Vladimir trailed off, flipping through the pages in his hand. He stopped on one last one, then handed it over to Maximus. "Oh, one more. The report of recent activities in the Atlantic and Pacific. You might want to read it."

"Oh? Mind telling me who's on it beforehand?" Maximus asked, and picked the multipaged report into his hands and flipped through it.

"Why not?" Vladimir mused, and brought up his own copy. "Organized States is, as you know, always present in the pacific however... we've picked up more movement than usual. And... Hawaii seems to be a hotspot at the moment. Moving on, it seems that the Timerians are... well... they're having a fun time in the pacific and atlantic. Currently, their biggest force is in the Pacific, however, it looks like they'll be sending troops to our borders. Activity on their lands has increased by a good amount, so its safe to say something's up. Nevertheless, their sudden, complete agreement with Feng, and the diplomat they wish to send to us, is.... rather suspicious."

"I see..." Maximus murmured, browsing the report and setting it down before him. He scratched at his chin absentmindedly, thinking quietly to himself. "Alright. Let the man come in. But, buff up the northern borders. I'd rather not be surprised by the bastards. And when that's done... get ready for that operation you were talking about earlier."

"Ah. That one, sir?"

"Yes. You know the one. Come back later, around nine. I've decided to order Chinese." Maximus replied, and pocketed the report for later. He'd need it for later, after all. They talked for a few more minutes, before Vladimir left the room while Maximus gave the order to let the diplomat enter the borders.
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

Chapter 1: Upholding Bonds

Imperial Palace, Togeria:

The Emperor of Togeria, Haj Mahlong had been woken in the long hours of the night and was rushed to the Capital Square of the capital of the nation, Kazadaki.

"I assume this is of great importance, I didn't even have time to put on a full suit. Were any of my children awoken, my wife?" He asked leaning in closer for the last part, he was an aging man and much of his youth and fervor of his younger days were behind him. It was now replaced with a growing mane of grey hair and his once impulsive behavior was now replaced with an observant and calculative train of thought. He had never once been woken this earlier and with such haste, and quite frankly it had put a pit in his stomach that he had the fortune of only experiencing once in his life.

"No sir, we have received word via the news network that Empire of Great Feng has been removed from the IFA, this hasn't sat well with them, and now a war between them and the URA seems in all likely hood a very very real possibility. We'll inform you more at the square."

He nodded, his curiosity on this end had at least been satisfied, but the thought of war, Feng and the URA, and....the alliance. No one needed help in understanding, this was security for the Feng, he had expected it, and yet it didn't surprise him. Feng and Togeria were members of the Quadruple Alliance and if things were reversed he would've called them in too.

Later in Central Command:
They had arrived in the square and walked calmly through the square before arriving on a elevator that took them underground. Unnecessary was probably what most thought, but it was an added layer of protection should the capital be attacked, and in Central Command all branches of the military met to discuss matters of international security as well information that needed to only be shared with the president.

"What's this about?" He asked, a file then being given to him about information leading to the events before Togeria was called in to aid in the Quadruple Alliance.

"You see sir a Feng delegate was reportedly at a meeting intoxicated, while there he declared the Feng would leave the IFC, in response they banned him. Further all we know is relations are sinking between a number of its members and the Feng most notably the URA, but peace is still an option. Still, the possibility of war is all likely and we must know what has to be done, so far we have two choices: declare neutrality or should war be declared aid the Feng. It would take a number of weeks until we're fully mobilize. Our navy is our strongest branch and first line of defense as well as Togeria's safety must be put first above else, though with our position we can bring in supplies as well as men into the Feng to aid them in battle. The choice however is left you my emperor."

He clenched his jaw and nodded, breathing in deeply he knew what course both actions could take, the pit he felt would only grow, but he fought it. "Togeria is a country of honor, we accepted the Quadruple Alliance and now we must honor it. I wish to avoid war and as such I want the Foreign Minister to fly to Yichang, and to help see to it peace does happen, but should it not we must be prepared for war."

The High General Aka Namdang nodded,"Yes My Emperor, I will see to it that the military goes under preparation. Should war be declared Togeria will strike with enough force to break the enemy and have them drown in their own blood at sea."

The emperor nodded, and with that the meeting was closed. The Togerian Foreign Minister Ms. Hamja would be readied and prepared, given enough luggage to spend a night or few in Feng as well as having her skills in Chinese strengthened and taught in the customs of the couuntry before she would fly to the city of Yinchang.

North Pacific
NTS Shark

The shark had 2 patrols of Rafale fighter patrolling around the ship. They moved forward headed towards the launch point. 2 Type 45 destroyers strolled next to the carrier. Their radars scanning the sky around the carrier. "Sir radars are mostly clear we could have birds in the air." the commanding officer looked over the screen. "Looks good... We're in international water currently but tell everyone to keep a watchful eye. I don't need any unnecessary attention." The ships proceed on course.

The North Timerian delegated was on a plane headed south to meet with delegates of DEN. While in flight he received a call from the President.
"Ambassador. How are you?"

"I'm doing great. I'm expected to arrive in less than an hour. I assume you're calling me to go over this one more time." Ambassador King sat back as he listened to the President.

"I'm not doubting you I just want you to be perfect. We don't need this incident spilling over into South America. We both have our allies but let's try to keep South America out of it. I don't want anything going on between Feng & the IFC to affect our relationship."

Ambassador King assured the President he would get it done and he hung up the phone.

Tasmanian Sea
E-2D Hawkeye of VAW-117

An AWACS plane flies over the calm sea, covering a standard search pattern in the general area of the middle of nowhere. It was directing a nearby flight of two S-3B Vikings, which were performing their own ASW sweep. There was also a P-3C Orion nearby, also looking for subs. The four aircraft were on a fairly intense training exercise, looking for one particular sub in the vast ocean. These days, Type 15 subs were becoming harder and harder to find. Especially newer Block II boats. The term "Boat" was an understatement, as it easily out-sized and out-displaced most surface vessels short of battleships and carriers. Despite their size, the Type 15 was among the stealthiest subs currently sailing. This usually resulted in the fear-inducing idea of a nuclear-powered possibly WMD-armed missile submarine with nearly double the firepower of the next largest SSBNs currently active simply sitting in the ocean just off the coast undetected. The actual mix of missiles the sub carries in it's 42 IRBM launch tubes is classified, but it's still concerning. It had the weapons to wipe out a small nation, and it was nigh impossible to find while at action stations.

A feature the ASW strike group was trying to put to the test. Thus far, neither the Vikings nor the Orion could find U-1245, and made their displeasure known to the air commander on board the Hawkeye. Even it's powerful air and surface search radar couldn't find the sub if it was even surfaced. Being nuclear powered, the Type 15 didn't even need to surface, typically only going up to receive supplies from vertical replenishment. The Block II even carries a hangar for a single NH90 multi-role helicopter for this purpose. But for now, the U-1245 seemed content to sit at the bottom of the ocean until the hunters give up. The exercise was to end in 5 minutes, whereupon the aggressors would lose should they not find the sub. The air commander sighed as he watched the radar screen, showing the Vikings and Orion form up and report in a lack of results. The sub wins this one.

Not long after the clock hit 12:00, the sea broke open right below the E-2 as the Type 15 submarine surfaced, throwing up a huge amount of sea foam. The commander facepalmed as he saw the radar contact appear right on top of his position. Of course, we wouldn't think to look right under our noses. Won't work in combat, but it was clever he thought as he rang up the sub to report. "My credits to Captain Nagahara, she put up a good fight. Tell her to let us win some time" said the commander to the U-1245's comms officer. The fleet of aircraft, now joined by the giant submarine, now headed back to their home port. Another exercise would happen in a couple months, hopefully with better results for the patrol aircraft.

Maginot Line, Leningrad Fortress
Northern Borders

DEN was famous for two things: her massive, strong, stubborn static defense lines and fortresses, and her artillery. In fact, she had perhaps the most artillery in the world, and favored the hundreds of guns and tubes she had at her disposal. The numbers in the units, in battalions, divisions, armies, were simply attached units, and in reality she had far, far more. Of all kinds, as well. Superheavy guns, as they were sometimes called, of massive caliber, down to the lightest artillery, movable by air or mountain if needed. In this way, it seemed that the scenario would be the same in the north, and some would say at her biggest numbers.

Leningrad Fortress was, in fact, not only a single fortress, but also a makeup of smaller strongholds, that covered the middle of the line that stretched across the north, and acted as the center of operations and command for the many outposts and firebases that spotted the lines. In actuality, she was not the Northern Command that everyone knew, (the stronghold that acted as northern command was farther back, and was called Valkyrie) but she might as well be it. She had full command of the massive artillery firebases that dotted the landscape, even boasting 50 guns herself inside her inner walls.

Also inside her walls, and swelling in size, was a garrison force from the air force and army. Although mostly delegated to defending the fortress itself, with small patrols going along the lines, the numbers were growing for a much.. different purpose. One by one, transports began arriving there to bolster the defenses, and occasionally bring in something offensive into the mix. With the numbers swelling, one by one, the outpost began to be permanently manned by soldiers, and the defenses sprung to life again.
The beatings will continue. Regardless of morale.

FENG ISSUE: THE REPUBLIC DEMANDED BLOODS

80,000 Marched On The Streets of Archangel; National Veteran Association Calls For the Extermination and Subjugation of the So Called "Great" Feng Empire...While Having Fun

by QALEEN NARIDA, ANN

ARCHANGEL: The nation capital came to almost complete stand still today when an unplanned and unauthorized rallies organized by the National Veteran Association, which consisted of over a million members of former servicemen, took to the streets for a period of 2 hours, chanting war cries and demanded the subjugation of the Feng Empire, which recently found itself blocked from the prestigious International Freedom Coalition, in what appears to a classic act of stupidity on the Fengs side, when their senile and drunken delegate threatened the entire IFC and then unilaterally left the organization.

"Death to the Fengs! Death to the pigs!" The disgruntled protester were heard screaming, and when ANN contacted the organizer of the event, former General Matthius Emilio - who was one of the servicemen who found their service to the Republic cut short due to the central government downsizing which saw the layoff of more than 1,000,000 professional soldiers in the past 5 years, and is also the current President of the NVA, he says that;

"The Fengs had become a pesky troublesome pest in the international arena in recent years; a nation of weaklings that depended on the protection of others while pretending to be great, we find that to be annoying. Nobody challenges the world and then back down. They pretended to be down with others - claiming to be democratic just to whore their nations out to the IFC and then pretended to be reds just to sleep with the rest of the USN. Fuck them! They're a pest, and they don't deserve to a place among the Great Power ranks; they should just stop calling themselves Great and admit to be what they really are, a big amount of nothing! An insignificant third rate developing nations."

Mister Emilio led the procession on the streets where their convoys consisted of the association' privately owned Armored Personnel Carriers and Main Battle Tanks - decommissioned from His Majesty Imperial Armed Forces and sold to the private market as a surplus - made a spectacular sight for the bewildered citizens, which some mistook it as a surprise military parade. A squadron of UH60 Black Hawks medium lift helicopter - decommissioned a few years ago from the air force and sold as surplus to the private market - fitted with mega speaker underneath its belly also increased the drama of the entire procession - blasting rock music and other arrangement of patriotic themes - before finally the 80,000 strong protesters formed into military precision formations complete with their own camouflage field uniforms, and assault riffles marched toward the Fengs Embassy in downtown Archangel's International Districts, where in a final act of insult and provocation threw a salvo of rotten egged "grenades" into the besieged embassy compound.

Having completed the "raid", the procession returned peacefully, tracing their steps back to their starting point, during which process, members of the rallies had also helped in cleaning up the streets before going home and resumed their respective business.

Matthius Emilio, when contacted, had claimed the rally as a fun and peaceful event, but says it is too early to call for results.

Meanwhile, the government praises the action of the NVA which acted within tolerable, albeit extreme line, when they refrain from causing any permanent destruction upon the Feng Embassy but merely defiled the Embassy. The Foreign Minister and Home Minister apologized to the Feng Empire however, due to the lack of communication between the organizer of this event and the local police, they were unable to scramble and deploy the anti riot police to protect the Feng Embassy, and offered to foot the bill for the cleanup process.

No official statement from the Feng Embassy regarding this peaceful incident had been obtained however.

FENG OKUCHOSO NEWS STATION(FONS)

Image
Today, military parades took place nationwide, with Feng demonstrating the size of both it's active, reserve, and semi-reserve forces(A special segment which isn't recorded as they are people willing to be in the military but not in the military. They have modern military-grade guns as do 31% of Feng citizens. This is legal to make it easier for the citizens to join the military) marched across several cities, including Kyoto, Yujing/Yichang, Hong Kong, Seoul, Chengdu, Beijing, and many others. The Feng military has officially stated that "It does not want war, but it will not shy from it if war is necessary." He also continued this speech, and also addressed accusations of Aeyariss citizens about Feng's "Cowardice". "Feng will no longer be mistaken for a paper Tiger just because of it's super-friendly foreign policy with all nations and it's desire to stay in many alliances. In fact, this is a sign to the contrary-Feng's goal in this policy is to prevent a Third World War by ensuring Feng has strong ties with many nations and can intervene in any possible large-scale conflict. Feng also believes having many allies from all forms of government and all alliances is a key strength of any modern great power, and believes they should rely a good deal on them, instead of aggressively trying to seem like the strongest power everyone should listen to.

A few ships doing naval military exercises near the Japanese island of Kyushu finished today, and have returned to Feng harbors. The leaders who planned the event, said "it went perfectly as planned." However, these moves have worried OS officials of a possible Feng assault on the Ryukyus, as the ships went dangerously close to the Ryukyus, and sent the OS military there on high alert, until returning to Feng waters. As such, some officials are suspicious of Feng's true intentions...

In other news the Yujing conference that had been scheduled just earlier this week is about to start today. The current Prime Minister of Feng and the attendee nations(Who are part of the Quadruple Alliance or have strong diplomatic ties with Feng) are scheduled to start the meeting there today, in the Feng Royal Palace.

With all this action going on, people in Feng and elsewhere are beginning to ask: Are we spiraling towards a world war?

Yujing, Feng Empire
Maximilian stepped off his plane and took a deep breath outside the conditioned interior of his jet. The air was surprisingly fresh for the heavily industrialized nation of Feng, something which pleasantly surprised him. What was neither pleasant, nor surprising however, was the footsteps of his guards behind him. The guards were a bunch of well armed military types, handpicked by his Minister of Defense, but the problem was that they would follow him constantly on diplomatic missions, oftentimes making it difficult for him to get the slightest bit of privacy. However, he didn't intend to be here long. What he wanted was to forge a more official alliance and use that as a preventative measure that would keep the Remnants and their cohorts from attacking first. However, first he would need to arrive at the imperial palace. After a brief ride through the twisting city streets, he arrived at his destination. The Asian architecture of the place was really quite different from the more utilitarian work of his homeland. As opposed to the standard Topkekkian way of building, which mostly consisted of trying to maximize the usefulness of any piece for the most strength, often leading to austere exteriors, but the peaked roofs and draconic statues gave a more ornamental feel to the whole palace. The Speaker entered the room where the conference was to be held following a brief discussion with a receptionist, and took his seat after giving a greeting of some sort to each representative there. The interior was surprisingly modern; there were plenty of seats arranged into a bowl surrounding the table, perhaps for viewers that would come in at a later time, and a skylight was cleverly embedded around the edges of the room, allowing natural light to filter in alongside the fluorescent lights on the ceiling. Maximilian ran a hand through his graying hair momentarily and readied himself. It was time to discuss a serious political crisis. The decisions made here today could well impact the next century.

D*ck Measuring Insures
After a few days of no activity, it seems the Feng Empire is attempting to show that they are a super power on the International Stage by staging Multiple Military Parades throughout their realm. The Empire found, long ago, that such things are useless in todays day and age and instead, held a Parade to honor peace, prosperity, and partying in the manner of what can only be described as a Mardi Grad Day Parade. The Mystical Krewe of Drandio Paraded through Shaz City to a crowd of more than 1.3 Million people on a route that stretched for Twenty Five miles, starting near the first sets of Embassies within the Empire, going through the Governmental District (including the Imperial Palace and Imperial Parliament), through the Downtown District and into one of the largest Residential Districts of the City, where it finished up at the Convention Center within the Warehouse District.
The parade consisted of more than Three Hundred Fifty Floats and more than One Hundred Fifty Thousand Riders, Walkers and other groups. This included more than Fifty Marching Bands and the internationally recognized Eleven Ten Stompers. A replay of the parade is available for $5 to any one interested via Scroogle Video or $9 plus Shipping and Handling to anyone who wishes the old fashioned DVD or Blu-Ray models.

It is hilarious that some people would do such a serious parade, while we here in the Empire would rather have fun than wave our proverbial d*cks around. This is why I love living in the Empire instead of somewhere else around the world. You can expect me to pay that $5 for the Digital UHD version!

Yichang, Empire of Feng
The Ms. Hamja stepped of the terminal, looking at the sight of the city was certainly a breathtaking one, but unfortunately she wouldn't have time to take in the beautiful site of the Feng homeland, no, her mission was simple: attend the conference. She was escorted by a personnel of 6 guards each carried with them small arms, the Togerian's expected the security of the officials attending the conference to be the of the utmost priority of the Feng and as such carried light. Walking outside the to the vehicle that would escort her to the conference she looked out the side window at the sky and the architecture of the buildings of this strange and yet familiar land, she could see the influence in which Togeria was inspired by in creating such buildings especially in how eye-catching, flamboyant, and awe inspiring they were. Early in its modern history, Togeria took much inspiration from the Feng in the style of architecture, but soon diverged onto their own separate path, it was refreshing to see this style utilized hear in the Feng homeland. She looked idly at them before the vehicle would stop and she would take a step into the building where the conference was to be held. Giving a bow to the receptionist along with the wave before walking into the meeting room. Giving another quick bow she looked around before choosing her seat, she didn't know many people here, but she recognized Maximilian, and it was custom for a Togerian to sit by those closest to them. Both his country and hers were neighbors so she excused herself, bowing to him before she took a seat. She kept a calm and focused look as she opened up her briefcase and began looking through documents.

Cheonsa Air Base
Flardania

"Cheonsa Tower, Dice Lead, request approach clearance on westerly track." said Major Rick "Vader" Kelley into the radio as the flight of four F-35As from the 34th Fighter Squadron came into the airspace of Cheonsa Air Base, their final destination. It'd had been one hell of a trip in the Lightning II, fondly named by many of its pilots as the TIE, due to its cockpit's similarities to the famous Sci-Fi fighter. From their home base at Hamilton AFB in California, the squadron's aircraft would fly in flights of four first to Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, then to Wake Island, before flying Northwest towards Flardania. Let's just say it was a long haul. This may have been less of an inconvenience in a Pan-Am jet, where you have some padded seats and a young, attractive stewardess bringing you food and drinks to keep you fat, dumb, and happy. But in the total utilitarianism of the F-35A, with the Martin Baker seat providing little to no comfort, it generally sucked. However, the end was in site, and Vader thanked whatever Gods may be that the end was in site.

"Dice Lead, Cheonsa Tower, say altitude?" asked the Flardanian controller in a fairly accented tone of English.

"Cheonsa Tower, Dice Lead, approximately 5,000 feet." replied Vader calmly and coolely like the professional he was. There was a reason they called him Vader.

"Dice Lead, take a westerly ILS approach onto Runway Nine-Two-Seven. Welcome to Cheonsa."

"Dice all aircraft, all aircraft. Westerly ILS approach into Nine-Two-Seven." said Vader to the other three aircraft in his flight. One, the element leader ship, flown by the Squadron's Weapons Officer, Major Tom "Pirate" Litchman. Vader's wingman, in the Dice 2 ship, was Captain Nick "Fart" Baker. Then, lastly, Pirate's wingman was none other than 1st Lieutenant James "Razor" Westfield, the newest pilot in the squadron on his first overseas hop.

"Dice Two acknowledges."
"Dice Three acknowledges."
"Dice Four acknowledges."

Vader immediately switched on the ILS and began the slow decent into the base. The hills surrounding the Valley gave a distinct similarity to the area near Ethan Allen AFB in Vermont mixed with the soft orange tones surrounding Williams AFB in Arizona. Flardania was truly a beautiful place. However, Vader snapped back to the task at hand, correcting the aircraft and letting it glide in slowly with the assistance of the ILS. The landing was smooth, with the four aircraft making slow and easy landings into the base, and immediately taxiing to aircraft shelters, where a number of local dignitaries had arrived to officially welcome the Unit, along with the 34th's ground crews that had the task of making sure that the aircraft were in good working order following the trip.

Hamilton Airmen, F-35s arrive in Flardania
by Senior Airman Ricardo Gonzales

(4/10/16) Members of the 388th Fighter Wing at Hamilton Air Force Base, California, Southwestern Commonwealth have deployed to Cheonsa Air Base, Flardania as a part of Operation Pacific Vigilance, an effort to reassure Allies and Partner Nations in the region as tensions continue to rise in the area. The 34th Fighter Squadron, The Rude Rams, have deployed 100 airmen along with multiple aircraft to Cheonsa as apart of an agreement between the OS and Flardania to assist one another in keeping the sea lanes in the region open, regardless of what happens. While this operation is underway, Airmen will exchange with their Flardinian counterparts in various ways and work with them in improving methods and tactics.

"This is truly a great opportunity to work with one of our closest allies in the region. I think that we can share a lot of our methods with the Flardinians and they'll do the same, and hopefully we'll develop some new, more effective tactics in the process. And we're so thankful for the hospitality that the local government has given us here." said Major Richard Kelley, Operations Officer for the 34th Fighter Squadron...

West of Farallon de Medinilla

The flight of two F/A-28A Tigersharks of VMFA-242 closed in quickly on the site of the incursion. A carrier launching combat air operations inside of a country's territorial waters was not something to be ignored in the least. VMFA-242 was one of the many fast jet units in West Pac, but it was the only Marine one and that set them apart almost immediately. Activated in 1943 as an Attack squadron, The Bats participated in Solomons Campaign, before taking part in the pivotal Battle of Saipan and the Battle of Tinian almost immediately afterwards. They were reactivated in 1960 with the A-4 Skyhawk due to the escalating nature of the Cold War, and almost immediately after became one of the first units to fly the A-6 Intruder. Flying many combat missions in Vietnam brought the effectiveness of the Squadron fully into the open. In 1990, they transitioned to the Legacy Hornet, before eventually transitioning to their current stead of the F/A-28A Tigershark, the Hornet's replacement in OS Service. Along with their sister squadron, VMFA-235 at Kaneohe Bay, they were responsible for providing air cover for the OSMC's F-35Bs and ground forces in the Pacific. However, their multirole capability opened far more doors for the unit, and this was without a doubt one of those doors. The NTS Shark had Rafales in the area, and well, those had to be intercepted and escorted away, or they had to be dealt with.

The two Tigersharks began to close on a flight of two Timerian Rafales, using the aircraft's reduced RCS to the best of their ability.

Image President Gabriel Drake
Situation Room, Capital Building Olympia, URA

"The Feng government has leveled trade sanctions on our nation, as well as the majority of our closest allies. While we're not sure on the ramifications of these sanctions against our allies, we can be sure this will not affect our economy nor the economies of any our dominions, since trade with the Feng is minimized. However, the implications of this..."

Gabriel Drake held a sigh as he ran a hand through his hair, tuning out the presentation for a moment. The information was the same as they'd all heard an hour ago, and the hour before that, and every hour before since this 'crisis' started. Drake was growing tired of it, but situations took time to develop. The issue was this situation was just taking so-

"Mr. President?"

Drake looked up at the adviser. The entire room was staring at him now and Drake bit back a curse at himself. He must've been out for, what? A couple minutes at most? "Yes?"

"We were discussing the current actions of our allies on this situation."

"Alright... You can proceed."

"Right, sir." The adviser was referencing several satellite-based images on the screen. "Bahtar issued a notification to the State Department vowing their support of our stance in this situation. And we have the support of several allies within the International Freedom Coalition as well as our imperial dominions. We have moderate, but shifting support from the United Socialist Nations and we have some quiet support from the Santiago Anti-Communist Treaty Organization."

Drake nodded tiredly, the bangs of his salt-and-pepper hair falling into his eyes. He needed a haircut. "Alright. I'd hope our imperial allies would be in support of us."

"They are, sir. The Namenians have already begun readying themselves and we have explicit lines of support from the Shadownians and Donnish if so needed."

"You mentioned the IFC?"

"Yes, sir. The Flardanians support our movements, and our cousins across the line have already gotten into a bit of a situation with an as-of-yet unidentified surface group that we can assume are supporters of the Feng. We'll know more when our cousins get back to us." The reference of 'cousins' was to the Organized States, which were one of the strongest allies of the URA. And as well they should be; the two nations shared a border that was hundreds of miles long and their navies patrolled the same territorial waters. The OS and URA were practically either half of the Western and Eastern Roman Empires. President Ellsworth and President Drake visited each other's retreats on a monthly basis and while he'd never admit it, Drake looked up to the elder American President.

"Alrighty. And I don't need to be told why SACTO's support is quiet, but why is the USN's support shifty? Don't we have major influence in that alliance?"

"Aye, we do, sir. However the USN is split almost in half over this situation due to several of the USN member states holding individual alliances with the Feng."

Now it was time for the held in sigh to come out as Drake blew a breath through his gritted teeth. Typical of an alliance to be split over the beginnings of a war. "Okay, beyond that, what do we have?"

"We've begun mobilizing our active forces, readying them. We have two fleets that are ready to ship off as well as several Army divisions along with all of the Sentinel battalions ready for-"

"No," it was time for a little dealing, and Drake knew how. "The Americans are covering the Pacific for us. We don't need to involve the Navy. No obvious mobilization of our uniforms, understood?"

Several military advisers in the room tilted their heads, but nearly all of them nodded.

"The Panama Canal is open, correct?"

"Yes, sir."

"And we still have all eight of those decommissioned Hera hospital ships?"

"Um, yes, sir?"

Drake stood and tapped the corner of the table that all the advisers and himself sat at, the table's surface changed to a global map, politically and geographically marked. "Hm... Let's not waste uniforms yet. Our cousins are covering our oceans and sides, and the Bahtaris and our allies are willing to commit troops, so we can use them."

"... Sir?"

"You heard me. A Bahtari dying won't register for our people. Dead Remnants do register, however. How hard is it to mobilize a unit of CPD?" CPD referred to the Contracted Personnel Division, an organization of several mercenary, guerilla and rebel units under the command of the Remnant Military, but distanced enough to be considered semi-independent. They had two bases to themselves situated in Namenian, where the troops were kept out of the URA's territory and relatively out of sight from most nations, since the Namenians were so militarized, they'd be mistaken as Namenian soldiers.

"So... What are you advising, sir?"

Drake looked up from the map and grinned, "We have eight hospital ships decommissioned, sitting around and waiting to rot. We staff them with private contractors, a skeleton crew, and we send them south to pick up CPD units from those bases we have stocked away in the Namenian mountains. We pick them up and carry them back north and through the Panama Canal and from there, they cross the Atlantic and go to the West African republic, which is Feng territory. That's where we start. The CPD can't be traced to us except maybe by individual weapons, and the ships have long been written off as decommissioned and dismantled for parts."

The military advisers looked at Drake with worried looks, "But... Sir... That could start a war. And there's no guarantee it can't be traced back to us."

"True, but there's also no guarantee it can. Send a message to the Namenians; tell them to allow the unmarked units to board the ships in roughly three days. That's how long it would take for those ships to get there, right?" The best part of this was, Drake thought, that if any hostile nation had satellite feeds, they could trace the troop movements from the Namenians, not the Remnants, and there were so many documents and bureaucracy clouding the origin and purpose of the ships and the troops it would be impossible to pin on any government. The CPD troops could simply be written off as extra-governmental radicals.

"Yes, sir. We'll get the message out ASAP." The adviser who'd been giving the debriefing turned towards the door to leave as Drake smiled to himself, his earlier boredom and tiredness erased with excitement. This is what has to be done to protect the URA and her allies from the Feng menace, and it was the way to do it safely for the URA and her people. The URA's more distant allies were expendable; only a couple of the closer allies were actually critical to national security. The rest were fodder, pawns and meat to use. And as Drake expected, they were all willing to fight with their own soldiers to achieve the goals of the URA. Politics: What a wonderful thing.

"Stingray 2 I'm picking up movement on the radar... They are already in engagement range and we didn't even pick them up...Must be stealth aircraft. Stingray 2 enter non-combat formation while I contact the NTS Shark."

Stingray's wing man moved into position along the right side. Stingray 1 used a secure channel to contact the Shark. "NTS Shark... This is Stingray. On patrol sector 3A. We have possible stealth aircraft moving in on use. Please identify protocol." On board the carrier Cpt. Snow made his way to the bridge to personally address the pilot. "Stingray 1 this is Cpt. Snow. You are to follow protocol 3... Do not take aggressive action unless you or the ship are threatened. Pilot do not let any aircraft in range to engage the Task Force. We're dispatching additional support. Kingshark out."

Stingray was armed with 4 MICA and 2 Meteor missiles. "Copy that sir." The 2 fighters continued on their course waiting for the suspected enemy to make contact. "Stingray 1... I can't get a lock at current range." Stingray 1 looked over his systems; the stealth aircraft were advanced enough to avoid being locked on by their BVR missiles. "We are not engaging unless absolutely necessary. NTS Shark is currently dispatching additional support to us now. Stay in a tight formation."
-------

On board the NTS Shark F-35s were preparing to take off and assist the Rafales if anything was to happen. The F-35cs were on the deck as the pilots ran out from below deck. The aircraft were already ready to be deployed and the deck crew were already in position. The 4 aircraft were hooked onto the EMALS and given the green light. They took off from the carrier and headed to assist their fellow pilots. The task force continued to their launch point.

Ambassador King was sitting in his aircraft when he heard the noise. There was a loud and sudden popping noise coming from the engine. He jumped up and moved so that he could look out of the window. He leaned over a table and starred at the engine. A large could be seen from his view. Just as it happened the flame was put out by the extinguishers in the jet. As the flame died down pieces of metal flew back and the planes started to slow down and loose stability. He made his way towards the cockpit "What the hell is going on?" one of the attendance stood at the door. "Sir please make your way to a seat and lock yourself in immediately." Ambassador King was in shock but eventually did as she said. He locked himself in securely closed his eyes. Just as he closed his eyes he could hear more happening outside. The sound of tearing metal filled the air. The plane then took a sudden dip.

The plane couldn't recover from the disaster and it fell from the sky. The plane crashed in North Timeria along the border with Die erworbenen Namen. The fireball engulfed the surrounding area searing anything near by. Emergency services rushed to the area but it was far too late. Everyone on board was dead and the only thing they were able to accomplish was salvaging the black box. It was then transported to an Air investigation post at Jaguar Air Force base.
