So Pro, I'm waiting for you right? Or am I just sitting here playing with my thumbs for no reason?

Nowhere am I saying that it was up on a permanent basis. What I am saying is that they had time to raise them. It is essentially knights and castles-you may have the drawbridge down to let in trade, but you can raise it if you see enemy forces coming.

Nowhere do I argue that they cannot capture it-what I am arguing is their ability to pacify it. The largest operational group for the Sith military is forty thousand men, which is an absurdly low amount for a galactic war, but is, sadly, canon. Even if they had a hundred of these-which are special formations, only formed for special assaults, and under the command of a Moff or high-ranking Sith Lord, they would be outnumbered nearly a thousand to one if only one-tenth of one percent of the populace turned against them.

1. To answer the first part, the Jedi nor the republic military were expecting a attack on Coruscant and did not recieves ample warning to deploy the shield.

Remember Episode V? They can detect the fleet coming in, and raise the shields. The only reason they got through is because Vizsla shut down the defense grid.

To say the second part. Numbers mean absolutely nothing in urban warfare especially when they fight with the way the sith forces do, and don't care about killing civilians like the republic military probably does.

I really, really doubt that. I am not trying to go against your experience, but when it is literally just you against, heck, even a dozen guys, they matter. Coruscant can only be covered in small teams-fire teams and squads-and any one of them could easily have a hundred people going against them, with the low-end estimate of rebels. I cannot see how that does not have a significant effect. Killing civilians will cow some, and tick off a lot more-if only one in every thousand gets ticked off at their family dying, and strikes back, you have another billion enemies to fight.

No one responded to my question with a relevant answer...

I will try to write something up really quick-I need to leave for a bit in only a moment, I may not get it done, but I should be back by 9:00 EST or perhaps a bit earlier.

Appearance: He is a White male with shoulder length dark hair, and a scar on his right hand from the base of his thumb to his wrist.

Personality: He is quiet and he doesn’t like to stop until his job is finished. He is generally nice, unless his job is to kill you.
Biography: He was born on Coruscant, but moved to Tatooine when he was 10, because his father had gotten a job as a pilot. He could fly single man planes by the time he was 16, and could shoot a blaster very well when he was 18. RP Sample: Three blaster shots hit the wall behind him as he ducks for cover. He quickly returns fire and hits one of his three adversaries in the chest. “This is not worth the money”, he grumbles to himself before firing another round of shots toward his enemies.

A few things.

1. The Z-95 Headhunter does not exist yet.
2. Two million credits is a massive amount for a mercenary-you can make him rich, that is fine, but you will definitely need to explain where he got such wealth.
3. The bio is pretty good, but some expansion would be nice-what kinds of jobs he took, perhaps a tad more on his parents/training, etc.

I think I'm going to have von Tar force push Jurius away from Syo, (maybe) block his lighting and then parry his blows, entering a swordlock and then asking him to call off the fight, and have them leave in peace.

Thoughts?

Character Name: Cythraul
Jedi Or Sith: Jedi
Rank/Class: Knight
Gender: Male
Age: 42
Height: 9'2"
Race/Species: Stenax
Appearance: Image
Home world: Unknown

Personality: Stoic, stubborn, empathic, gentle, reasoned.

Biography: Rescued from the wreckage of a freighter in the Outer Rim by a Jedi Knight at a young age, his strength in the force brought him to the Jedi temple early on. He was always somewhat ostrocized by the other padawans, as he was brought in at an exceptionally young age and was a great deal smaller than everyone else. This lasted only a few years, as he quickly grew and matured both physically and mentally. However, all did not go well from there. He had always shown a stubborn streak, and it only grew as time went on. It started early on as a refusal to eat certain foods, and ended up with the loss of several lives in the evacuation of a pirate-beset settlement in the outer rim. He had refused to leave the last few refugees to the mercy of the pirates, and took a squad with him into the village where they were ambushed. He ultimately had to fight his way back to the transport with the few remaining survivors, but he gained valuable experience and knowledge. For these reasons he was never given the title of Jedi Master, though he never resented it. He was content with his routine of meditation, sifting through the Jedi library, practice duels, and occasionally guiding or commanding small excursions to the Outer Rim.

Lightsaber: Image

Midichlorian Count:8000

Strengths: Cythraul is a large reptilian, possessing thick skin and a powerful, imposing stature. While his fearsome appearance does not reflect his personality, he is still an extremely intimidating opponent. Cythraul also has cortosis greaves, gauntlets, pouldrons, and girdle. He is an experienced force healer and also has knowledge of many indigenuous healing herbs, plants, and minerals of outer rim planets. He is proficient in lightsaber and hand-to-hand combat, and is an exceptional defensive tactician and strategist. As a seasoned commander, he knows the value of human life and understands that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. He can sense heat and light. He has sharp claws, fangs, and can fly.

Weaknesses: While attuned with the force spiritually, Cythraul is not adept with offensive force use, preferring to study defensive and meditative applications. His wings, while useful, are cumbersome in combat, and are a tempting target for any opponent. They limit his zone of control in lightsaber combat, forcing him to either defend, find a corner, or constantly be on the move.  He doesn't have more than common sense and first-hand knowledge about offensive strategy and tactics. Even on an a diverse planet such as Coruscant, the words "conspicuous" and "overt" come to mind, which, when being actively hunted and pursued, are not typically positive traits.

Starting Location: Coruscant Underworld

RP Sample: Mostly regional rps in the RMB. Links on request.

If you want a lot of money, it is fine, just have him find a valuable treasure, or get an inheritance, or something. For an average merc, you are talking perhaps c. 10k credits over that time period if he saved up a bit.

For ships, if you want something like the Z-95, I think the Liberator-Class starfighter is your best bet.

Still reading through that bit, pretty fun so far. I will have to note, though, that he will need a vocabulator, as Jawas are physically incapable of speaking Basic. You also get the fun bit where you can give him a Vader voice because of it.

Now, while my knowledge of Star Wars is, sadly, finite, I have never heard of any kind of "Saurosapien" species before. Is this meant to be an original species? The rest is fine-though I should note that dual-phase lightsabers like yours have a handful of side weaknesses-you can still have them though.

I think's there is a similar species....forget their name.

Something is tickling in my brain too-the winged bit, you obviously have Trandoshans for big lizards, but that is not it.

Still reading through that bit, pretty fun so far. I will have to note, though, that he will need a vocabulator, as Jawas are physically incapable of speaking Basic. You also get the fun bit where you can give him a Vader voice because of it.

haha good to know lol but hes a little sadistic jawa wouldn't you agree?

Thoughts?

Note that he will need to either move through the hallway, or cut directly into the side of the building to get to Jurius, both of which are fine, but the former requires fighting past some guys-Force senses should be acute enough to make the latter possible, though, if you want to go directly for Jurius.
