The article, essentially, is talking about how today, Cyprus is about to blow up the Turkey/EU refugee deal because of Turkish insistence on EU ascension talks restarting(which will force the EU to ignore several Turkish human rights violations), but Cyprus has continously blocked those until the Cyprus Dispute is solved.

Idk- I just think it would be ironic if the refugee crisis was the catalyst to solve the Cyprus Dispute. The EU is(most deservedly) being played by the Turks on this issue, and if something good were to come out of this refugee crisis, I would not be shocked if it was this(since the EU is botching the actual refugee crisis).

Turkey's plan is very obvious to me, they are going to use this refugee crisis as a guise to take over the rest of Cyprus and annex the entire island. They're going to demographically overwhelm the southern portion until it is so Turkish that any Greek control will collapse.
