APSIA MINISTRY OF GEOGRAPHICAL DATA
Attention, members of APSIA. Currently, at the offices at the Ministry of Geographical Data, we lost some important papers... yeah... Anyways, we're going to need every nation to tell us where they are on this map (don't claim a lot of land if you are a new nation, leave some room for others please).
RULES
You must follow these if you wish to have a spot on our map! Failure to comply will result in me ignoring your claim altogether!

- Follow this format as an application for a map spot (you only need to do this once, any time past that you will only need to include the map claim):
- Full name of your nation: (ex. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)
- Short name of your nation: (ex. United Kingdom, UK)
- System of Government: (ex. Constitutional Monarchy)
- Head of State: (ex. Queen Elizabeth II)
- Head of Government: (ex. Prime Minister Theresa May)
- Territory Claims: (ex. The British Isles)
- Capital City: (ex. London)
- Language: (ex. English, Welsh)
- Religion: (ex. Anglicanism, Atheism)
- History of your nation: (At least 5 sentences. Low-quality histories will be ignored as well as the application. Explain why your nation exists in the location you're claiming, as well as the cultural and demographic history of your country. PLEASE NOTE: The history that you type up isn't the actual history of your nation within APSIA, it's just for you to write your ideas down! Unfortunately, we may be required to modify your nation's history based on previous events that have happened in APSIA.)
- Only make a map request if you know for certain that you will be staying in APSIA for a while. Please don't pop a request down and then never log in again.
- Do not claim land that other people own (example: Bobistan owns Finland and you want Finland so you claim Finland even though Bobistan owns Finland) without their express permission and proof that they're letting you have that land.
- Do not PM me or double post in this thread asking for land. I will ignore your request if you do that.
- NGU gets the final say in a map claim.
- Inactivity will result in the removal of your nation from the map. There is a possibility of removal if:
- You have been banned from APSIA
- You leave APSIA and/or the APSIA Discord server
- You have not logged into NationStates for 15 days or more. This is based on the text at the bottom on your nation's page.
- You have not had any national happenings (RMB messages, issues, WA votes, editing things, creating factbooks, etc.) AND have not sent any messages in the Discord server in at least 20 days
- You haven't PM'd NGU before going onto a bout of inactivity.
- Further colonization is not allowed.
- You must be in APSIA for at least 1 week before making a claim. You can circumvent this rule by joining the official APSIA Discord server.
- Nations with gray colors on the map and marked "NPC" are NPC nations. The territory of these lands can be claimed by new nations only.
By posting in this thread, you agree to these rules. If you do not follow these rules, I will ignore your claim.
Definitions:
Colonization: claiming land that is far away from your own or is on a completely different continent from your own
Taking land/annexing/not colonization: taking land that is connected by land to your land (if you are an island nation, you can take islands nearby without it counting as colonization)
Mainland: the land that you originally claimed in your first post on this thread
A rule of thumb for if something is a colony or not: If it's far away enough that I have to re-put your name on it, then I'd probably consider it a colony.
