The contest begins...

Narrator: Welcome to WorldVision 45, from Lavington, The Sarian, and we are in for a treat tonight! But first, let's welcome our commentators: Martina Jerìnâ and Wilłen Lonites!
Martina: It is a pleasure to be here and to take the place of the legendary Georgìos and Lucé! We hope we can commentate as well as them.
Wilłen: Yes, welcome! I am so excited for what is ahead tonight. Who will win? And most improtantly, will we improve on the disaster of an entry from last time?
Martina: I'm certainly hoping so! We are ninth, just like last year. But first, the opening act will be performed! I can't wait!

Opening Act:

Wilłen: That song was written for a good cause, for unity, which is what you have to remember when you're listening to it.
Martina: Why? Why do we have to remember it?
Wilłen: Because it was, er... how should I put this apart from, no, wait, rubbish! Trying my best to keep the language age-appropriate. Being on a 15+ comedy show for 19 years does things to you.
Martina: *laughs* I have to agree with that. There's no way that those ohos can match up to last year.

01 - NIGHTOM

Wilłen: Now, I really love that Vickey has learnt how to play the violin and plucked up the courage to do this.
Both: But... *laughs*
Martina: That violin just ruined the song for me. It would've been a nice relaxing song, but then... SCREECH! I'M A VIOLIN! And the lyrics werke all over the place. A thin 4/10 from us.
Wilłen: That's a shame because Nightom rarely enter and they've messed up this one. Let's hope for them that Britonisea will be good.

02 - MISTER X

Martina: Aha! This is more like it until... obviously this is a Mister X song so obviously the lyrics will suck.
Wilłen: These nations are why people never take WorldVision seriously. A shameful 3/10 from us. Enough said.

I'm a Libertarian Socialist. That's good.

Current month: December 1994

News of Mitoland this week:
- The government scraps tuition fees for public universities.
- Planned Christmas Day terror attacks on the Marktplatz in Rheine are discovered and foiled. Eight arrests have been made in connection.

Apart from capital punishment, this nation represents 95% of my views. Some NSStats are slightly wrong.

20. Adab
"Down to the Sea"
Writer: Kinan al-Salaman
Performer: Kinan al-Salaman

Image
Al-Salaman right after recording the master take of this song

Tune: David Bowie - Ashes to Ashes (Thank you for the music, Mr. Bowie, and farewell)
Language: English

Kinan al-Salaman's stature within the Adabian music community had shown no signs of stagnating, let alone declining, in the months leading up to what would be his third WorldVision appearance. Even though he had only placed 11th and 12th in his first and second WorldVision appearances, respectively, the Adabian government and music insiders decided that those achievements were great enough for a nation relatively new to WorldVision, especially considering that they sent in a singer who had spent most of his career, and indeed devoted himself to, singing folk and acoustic-based songs, rather than, say, a currently-popular pop star or a boy band. A recent poll of music lovers in Adab deemed al-Salaman the most popular Adabian musician of the moment. By this time, though, al-Salaman was becoming tired of singing folk and acoustic songs all the time and started looking to expand his musical horizons. His appearance at WorldVision 44 had featured a band, significantly distinguishing it from his debut on WorldVision 43 (in which he appeared totally alone with his guitar), but even then he still sang a folk rock ballad.

Following his appearance there, al-Salaman - who had long been confirmed for WorldVision 45 - started writing several songs specifically for the next WorldVision that were, in his own words, "decidedly not folk". When he first showed the lyrics and explained his idea for those songs to several government members and music executives, they feared that al-Salaman was simply trying to "become more popular", sacrificing quality and authenticity in favor of popularity, but al-Salaman assured them that he was simply looking for a change in his musical direction. Emperor Tizqar III lent his full support to al-Salaman, permanently assuring his place on WorldVision 45 and safeguarding him from the possibility of being replaced, and upon hearing al-Salaman's demos personally chose one of them to be Adab's song on WorldVision 45: this one. "Down to the Sea", marked by its synthetic string sound and funk bass, tells a little story of a man in a frigate that is caught in a storm and sinks. Aware that there is no possibility of escaping, the man finds himself standing helplessly on the deck, watching the tragic and violent closure to his life unfold before his eyes.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The drums and keyboards had been tidily set up on the stage not very long ago, and as the all-standing audience waited for the contestant in silence, green and red lights started glowing brightly all around the stage. With the Presidential Palace providing a glorious background to the event, the sizable Adabian entourage, which included among them several princes of the Imperial House of Ashurbanipal, started clapping, cheering, and chanting al-Salaman's name. Others in the audience started to follow suit, although the Adabians present remained the loudest on this occasion, and would remain so throughout the performance.

Al-Salaman's band filed into the stage, prompting even louder cheers and calls for the man himself, but for some reason he didn't appear with his band members. They took turns acknowledging the audience, by bowing down or clapping or both, and although they themselves were very well-received it was indeed obvious from the very beginning that the audience desired al-Salaman the most. Finally, the man himself made his way onto the stage, dressed smartly and casually in black, and some from the Adabian entourage could be seen pushing their way closer to the stage. Others chanted his name and clapped for the man and his band.

"Thank you, thank you," said al-Salaman, raising his hand to the audience with a big smile and grabbing the microphone. "You know, the song that I am going to sing to you on this stage... was inspired by one of my mentors and earliest supporters in the Adabian music community. A sailor who turned to folk and rock music and through it all never lost his love for songs about the sea and ships. This man was one of those who generously promoted my name and my music when I was still toiling in obscurity some years ago. He was a wonderful, supporting figure in our community, and he was recently taken away from us, at the tragically young age of 65, having privately battled cancer for several months, leaving the Adabian nation and Adabian music one man poorer. Although I am not sure that this song does him justice, I guess it's better to do something than to do nothing at all. This one's for you, Inimabakesh Qutayba al-Maliki. This is 'Down to the Sea'."

The audience started clapping and cheering loudly once again, as al-Salaman turned to the band and signaled for them to start playing, and soon the distinctive sound of the song was echoing across the place.

Surely you know that ominous sound
Of the wood and wind
Rasping one wave to the next
Yes, for the incoming

We see nature breaking the peace now
Fragile as our predictions
We tremble before the mighty storm
A good glance beyond ourselves

The wailings of souls fill the presence
And the sweet pen is far away
And we have no escape and no sordid drama
I want my children but now it’s God

"Thanks for not booing us off!" al-Salaman shouted jokingly to the microphone while glancing at his evidently happy and excited band members. "Now the chorus!"

Sailing to falling, helpless before all
We bow down to the force of fate
Swept away from this place
Into the divine grace

Al-Salaman and his band clearly seemed to be enjoying their time on the stage. Smiles in the audience indicated that the song was receiving a positive reaction, particularly from the Adabian entourage there; members of the entourage were seen trying to push their way even closer to the stage, while continuously cheering and chanting al-Salaman's name as the man sang the following parts of the song, including a repeat of the chorus (which was catchy enough, some in attendance had started singing along to it).

Now and next I say to myself
My good wife will embrace me again
But the great blue waves are claiming me
The captain is gone

I smile to my little shipmate
“Pray now, boy, the good Lord sure loves us.”
Three falls of masts
From the dark hostile sky

Water is flooding the deck
Gun salute out of the question
I sure wish we could go through that now
For the souls who have drowned
Pulled down to God’s good heaven

Sailing to falling, helpless before all
We bow down to the force of fate
Swept away from this place
Into the divine grace

As the Adabian entourage kept up their loud cheering, followed by the rest of the audience, al-Salaman and his band proceeded to the song's dark ending, in which the man salutes his fallen shipmates as his own life starts to slip away amid the clash of waves.

As I start to drown, I do my salute
To the good and brave souls, now they’re gone

As I start to drown, I do my salute
To the good and brave souls, now they’re gone

As I start to drown, I do my salute
To the good and brave souls, now they’re gone

As I start to drown, I do my salute
To the good and brave souls, now they’re gone

The music faded and died down, leaving behind a certainly appreciative audience, even though at least a few of them were left disturbed by the song's haunting end. Still, the audience clapped and cheered al-Salaman and the band. As al-Salaman spoke again to say thanks to the audience and ask them to clap for the band, a member of the Adabian entourage was suddenly seen climbing onto the stage. Guards nearby attempted to stop him, but al-Salaman, convinced that the man was not dangerous and certainly didn't mean to do harm, embraced him to the increasingly deafening sound of cheers and applause. Eventually, al-Salaman gathered his band members in the middle of the stage, where they bowed together to the audience before filing out of the stage quietly.

Electrumite Worldvision Commentary - Network ENN (Electrum National Network)

Image
Sonya and Max with Electrum's entrant for this edition, Miriam

Announcer: It's the multiverses friendliest and most popular* commentary duo, Sonya Portelli and Max Hardwell!
Sonya Portelli: Hello, hello, hello everyone!
Max Hardwell: We're back in... you guessed it, Esportiva once again for the WorldVision Song Contest.
Sonya: When was the last time we were here?
Max: Too many times to count. Yttribia, Polkopia and now The Sarian.
Sonya: They just have the capacity to hold events eh? Anyways, we're in Lavington, The Sarian...
Max: LET THE CONTEST BEGIN!
Sonya: That's a bit dramatic... but yes.

*according to the ENN fan awards editions ago

0. Opening - Sing Together by Vidi
Max: This song just fits perfectly doesn't it?
Sonya: The good thing about this song is that it passes the not-crap test. I like it a lot as a result.
Max: Nothing can't quite beat the spectacular opening last edition, but this is upbeat, and a great contrast to the usually awful songs that we see in the opening.
Sonya: I'm just glad they got this right. This song is actually catchy too.
Max: Too bad this song can't be voted on.... look over there its the Pullman family! Her sisters!
Sonya: Poor them, they're just tripping all over the balloons, looks like no one's taking care of the elderly.

1. Nightom - Forgiveness by Vickey Jones-Sterling
Max: I'm not to sure where the lyrics correspond to the music given, but nonetheless I found this an interesting concept
Sonya: Yeah I didn't mind it either. It's pleasant, I'll give you that, but some parts are too jarring for me, with the transition between violin and dubstep.
Max: It doesn't know what it wants to be?
Sonya: Yeah.
Max: Well I disagree, I think it's a nice change from what we've been given so far. I always have a healthy dose of respect for those that play violin in Worldvision of all places.

2. Mister X - A Bad Time Together by Chris David
Sonya: They always send the hotties don't they?
Max: Not even going to comment on that.
Sonya: Anyways, the opening was so mysterious, so haunting, I was really wanting more... but after that I just was disappointed.
Max: I do not like that voice at all. It's just monotone. Then the part where the music just dies down, and all we heard the voice really threw me off.
Sonya: The staging was good, if a little bit sadistic. I can see the artistic quality in doing those actions, but I can see many others at home would disagree.
Max: Yeah not going to argue with that.

3. Dreamplanet - Coming Back for More by Anna Dos Santos
Max: I am pleasantly surprised with this entry.
Sonya: Well done Dreamplanet, this is really good, a good return from Dreamplanet from a string of songs that didn't do as well as they hoped.
Max: I sure hope some points flow their way tonight. Finally they've given us what the whole multiverse deserves, a bit of song and dance.
Sonya: Too right.

4. Frenline Delpha

5. Talvezout - Second-Best Heaven by Firespark
Sonya: The lyrics are awesome sauce. Heck, I don't mind the cheerleaders.
Max: I think this song is a bit too muted to have cheerleaders, but yes, the lyrics are brilliant.
Sonya: Talvezout has always sent songs that we've liked, and they continue that trend tonight. Well done Talvezout.
Max: Quirky song from Talvezout.

6. Venkatanaras Imharajuvaripieta Rdraskska - One More Time by Amphibia
Sonya: Venn cat anorak Imahara Juve Pieta drag scar?
Max: Sonya it's quite clearly Venkatanaras Imharajuvaripieta Rdraskska. Say it with me. Venkatanaras Imharajuvaripieta Rdraskska
Sonya: I just can't even. Speaking of I just can't even. I can't even this song.
Max: It's just a mix of hypnotic, slow, and undergroundy. I can't quite explain it.

7. Britonisea - Omnibeneveloent (Avoiding You) by Evangeline Hope
Sonya: I've given up pronouncing these names. It's too much of a tongue twister.
Max: Omnibenevolent -- she's not saying she's literally god is she?
Sonya: But she's a cat. Maybe she's Cat Woman. Or that crazy old Cat Lady. Or -- the cat god, Bastet!
Max: I'm surprised by your knowledge of ancient deities. Anyways, thoughts?
Sonya: The song was a bit too abrupt, it just felt like the song writer swallowed a thesaurus, heck I don't know some of these words.
Max: Yeah I don't think Evangeline knows what omnibenevolence means. Could have been better.

8. Missus X - A Condom by Rick Leg
Max: At least they're teaching contraceptives on WorldVision? You can mark that off the list. I don't even know why we have sex education classes when we can have this.
Sonya: I don't know Max, I'm actually not a fan of this song. I usually like these songs but not this time.
Max: Yeah I just didn't like the tune. Good message though. Maybe he's just not that good of a singer.

9. Mitoland - Something Special by xSing feat. Eryka Mondìlô
Max: Wasn't this the nation that didn't like our song last time?
Sonya: Yup.
Max: Remind me Sonya, which nation had a better ranking at the end of last edition's contest?
Sonya: We did. Now we got that out of the way, what do we think of this song?
Max: His voice is a bit scratchy. Lyrics a bit generic. But it's alright.
Sonya: Good, good. Needs that little bit extra, that X - Factor.

10. Ekoz - Soaring by Friedrik Zaal
Sonya: One of the better songs so far, right?
Max: This is definitely a contender. Perhaps we shouldn't talk about psychedelic trips, but that's my nitpick.
Sonya: Well my nitpick is that weird noise in the beginning. Don't know what it is but it's jarring. But really, that's a small criticism, and they should be applauded for this song.
Max: Well crafted, as usual.

11. Polkopia - Try Again by Oksana Babič
Max: I actually don't mind the repetition, despite from what the initial feedback from the selection contest might say.
Sonya: I really like this song, makes me want to go up and try again.
Max: Sonya, sit down.
Sonya: Sorry.
Max: Just not sure about the confetti. Seems a bit tacky.

12. Normandy and Picardy - Fly by Desmat
Sonya: Despite the glut of love songs tonight this is the pick of the bunch.
Max: Because of the different angle?
Sonya: Imploring someone to leave you behind? That's new. And I like it because of that.
Max: Same. The lead singer Tamar, is just excellent.
Sonya: Band's performance was top notch. Well done. Might even do very well today with the voters at home.

13. Gregoryisgodistan - Smash the Xylocarps by Loyal Friend of Lord Almighty Gregory Xylocrappy Smashy
Max: For those of you at home who don't understand. Quite famously, uniquely, the word "coconut" is illegal in Gregoryisgodistan. That's why they hate nations like "Coconutstan" and "Coconut Isle". Those of you may recognise "Coconut Isle" as a separate colony of ours, but they've broken away long ago.
Sonya: Hence they use "xylocarp". I thought xylocarp was a fake word, but lo and behold, it's a true and actual word! Maybe Greg did make this word up after all, but we'll never know...
Max: But it's festive, and I quite enjoy the coconut smashing. It is quite soothing.
Sonya: There's no death of people, but rather the death of coconuts. In a way it's symbolic of those two enemy list nations.
Max: I quite like this song. Very catchy.

14. Electrum Diplomatic Offices and Gregoryisgodistan
Max: Never in a hundred years would we dream of a collaboration like this!
Sonya: Instead of Electrum Diplomatic Offices and Lactatia last time, it's now Electrum Diplomatic Offices and Gregoryisgodistan! Gertrude and Gregory, what a cute combination!
Max: Indeed. And aside from that forty-five minute break in the middle for the execution, and the clean up, I thought this song was rather good. A nice change from all the poppy song. Where have these traditional love songs gone?
Sonya: I like the way you think. Excellent song from EDO/GGS. And I like how there was rhyming evident everywhere. That's the mark of a true song.

15. The Sword Bloke - The Trouble With Your Bombs by One Hit Jimson and Marcus Melton
Sonya: I love this tune, and the voice, AND the lyrics?
Max: The holy trifecta. Well it's a song about bombs, so it doesn't really fit with the music... Just doesn't seem to gel.
Sonya: Great individual components but dangerous when mixed.
Max: At least we got some more fatalities on the count. Where are we at?
Sonya: 235 deaths, 35 if you don't count the sapient coconuts.
Max: Better than seven thousand.

16. Antahbrantahstan - Morning Light by Festivalis Del Memoria
Max: I liked the beginning, but it just didn't go anywhere after that. Just goes higher and higher.
Sonya: I'm just confused by whose singing. My notes are all over the place and I can't really focus.
Max: Though I do get why you would call this song Morning Light. At least it's different.
Sonya: It's nice, it's unusual, it's different.

17. Oisinistan - I Love You (But Not As Much As I Love Porridge) by Al Kohl and The Gingerbread Men ft The Ballyacklee Children's Choir
Sonya: I don't even know what this song is trying to say, it's just confusing.
Max: I like the allusions to Gruel, but that's more of a Gregoryisgodistan and Diplomatic Office thing. That was our thing, for goodness sakes!
Sonya: Is nothing sacred anymore?
Max: This song needs more effort put into it.

18. Kwadai - Can We Go To The Stars Now? by May Ohayon
Max: Ohayon has an excellent voice. But is let down by the lyrics..
Sonya: I think there was too much repetition this time. Over and over again. Needs some variety.
Max: I've got limits. The Polkopian song was alright, but this was just a step too far. At least I'm glad Kwadai's back. And it's one of the better songs of tonight, let me tell you.
Sonya: Yeah, but it's a major fault.

19. Owner-osity

20. Adab - Down to the Sea by Kinan al-Salaman
Sonya: Creepy beginning...
Max: I liked it. First impressions are important. It's certainly different.
Sonya: I really love this song actually, I think it's one of the best tonight.
Max: I would expect this to do well in the Electrumite voting. Al-Salaman also being cheeky before the chorus.
Sonya: There's a real feeling of reverence to this song. It does everything just right, for me anyways.

21. Lactatia - Who Should I Fuck Next by Chill Chillin' Fresh-E L'il Freak Mixx 3000 MC Mama
Max: That has to be the worst performer's name ever.
Sonya: She's just big, she's too large. I have to admit, the gut jiggling was hypnotic.
Max: In a way it's like a secret shame. You want to turn away but you'er just curious.
Sonya: Too crass. I liked the subtlety they did with Gertrude last edition, but this is just too, too much.
Max: OH! WTF! THIS ENDING. WTF. AGH. GET ME SOME EYE BLEACH.
Sonya: EURGH.

Vomit sounds are heard.

Max: We'll be taking a quick break because Sonya... We'll be back soon with what you really wanted to see, Electrum.

22. Electrum - Heroes by Miriam
Max: Alright, so Sonya's not back yet. We'll be continuing with our song. I just love the piano, the strong and determined voice of Miriam, she's such a pleasant and funny person to be around. And it's a great message too, that we should be our own heroes instead of looking up to someone else. Patriotic posturing aside, I think we have a chance to finally get back to the top ten, where we've been missing for quite a few editions now. So here's hoping that other nations around the multiverse are receptive to our song...

23. Yttribia
Sonya: Alright, I'm back!
Max: Welcome back Sonya.
Sonya: Nothing a few mints can fix. Anyways...

24. Arioslavia - Shadows by The Raven
Sonya: Oh my god. I'm a sucker for Celtic music.
Max: There's definitely been an under-representation of Celtic music in WorldVision, so this is just an A+ for creativity.
Sonya: Excellent lyrics too. A much better improvement for Arioslavia. Which speaking of... weren't they another nation that didn't like our song?
Max: I'll forgive them this time, because this is great!

25. Anonymous Islands - Chasm by Os Chorli
Max: The song just feels lacking. Less instrumentation, more words.
Sonya: I don't know, I think this song actually works. It's more powerful that way.
Max: Yeah I'm not a fan of this song.
Sonya: Very crazy costume by the way. But you're right, this song just leaves me wanting more.

26. The Sarian - Revolution by Harriet Engels
Max: Well... I'm not a fan of the political message. Far-left wing agenda propagandising a song in WorldVision? The nerve.
Sonya: Actually this is a part of their history. Check your facts. That aside, this is one of the stronger songs tonight actually. I think it had all the ingredients.
Max: No contest. Alright. Well I'll be honest here, this did make me want to start a revolution for like five seconds.
Sonya: Hah! Anyways, this song is excellent, relevant and politically engaging. I just love Harriet's choreography in this too. Superb.

27. Kuala Lumpia - Cinta Semangka by Leana Yellow
Sonya: This is so... groovy!
Max: I love the watermelon references. This is the kind of spunky song we've been expecting from WorldVision!
Sonya: This edition is really experimental, and wow, a really joyful song.

28. Bloodbath Generation - Never Alone by Ronela Istrefi
Max: It's more of the same from Bloodbath Generation. I don't really mind to be honest, but the lyrics are a bit meh for me
Sonya: Actually I like this song more than their other usual songs
Max: Really? I just wanted more. This song leaves me moreish.
Sonya: Well I see it as a potential to win

29. Vettrera - Decades by Telemark
Max: The voice just seems grating to me, but the tune is decent enough
Sonya: I'm just glad Vettrera are back from their break.. don't know where they've been.
Max: Your thoughts on the song?
Sonya: Wistful, pleasant to listen to.

30. Todlichebujoku - Emotionally by A^2
Sonya: Sorry as much as I want to like this song, I just don't.
Max: That rapping was just not on. Sorry too.

31. Britanny - Sur Les Étoiles by Adam Selperre
Max: I hate the bit that starts each verse, and the beginning of the song
Sonya: Yeah I don't get what that's doing there. It's just weird and doesn't fit in.
Max: Also that's another love song. I don't know how many we've had, but I'm getting tired of it
Sonya: You're in an awfully grouchy mood aren't you?

32. Nekoni - Brighter Than Before by Sándor Riccia
Max: Yet another trope, this time World Peace.
Sonya: Nothing wrong with that, but this song just really didn't get it on with me, doesn't energise me?
Max: True. I didn't like the way the song ... ended.

33. Ethane - Open your Eyes by Roxanne Boychack
Sonya: Surprisingly, I like this song!
Max: Sure, the lyrics need a little bit of work, but she's got a good voice and the tune is excellent.
Sonya: Exceeds expectations, Ethane has.
Max: Although... it's another love song. Can't be blamed that they're this late in the contest.

34. Porterno - Let me Go by Vanessa Loves
Sonya: Sorry Porterno, but your lack of staging is just lazy. Performance is important.
Max: The song itself is alright, really slow, piano, soft music all that jazz is perfectly alright. Maybe she can just move around with the microphone more.
Sonya: Just not my cup of tea.

35. Kasanova-Koratica - Dank by Hunky Dory
Sonya: Thank goodness this was short.
Max: But that dank maymay
Sonya: Stop spreading cancer.

36. Silvacometopia

37. Izmedu - Emptiness by Srecko
Max: Why do they always come up with good song?
Sonya: Catchy beat, excellent voice and lyrics...
Max: Great staging, setup. It's the full package. I reckon they might win again with this effort.
Sonya: And I wanted to win us to win so badly...

38. Kalosia - New Girl by Letizia ft Karim
Sonya: Finally we've reached the end of this contest.
Max: I need a break. Anyways thoughts on this song?
Sonya: Ahh a duet. I like it a lot because of that.
Max: It's a cute song, I'll give you that. Interesting perspective and their thoughts. I really like their interaction.
Sonya: Good effort from Kalosia. With that we're finally finished with the contest. Onto the results...

21. Lactatia
Chill Chillin' Fresh-E L'il Freak Mixx 3000 MC Mama - "Who Should I Fuck Next"
Tune: Paris Hilton - Drunk Text

Chill Chillin' Fresh-E L'il Freak Mixx 3000 MC Mama was making a comeback for her home country, Lactatia. The stage is dark, with six background dancers, three on her left and three on her right. The music starts and they start dancing.

I went out on the street the other night
To... you know... meet with some clients.

Them hoes were out there again
With their Fake. Ass. Weaves.

I walked past them, high as a motherfucker
Ready for a cumshot from a horse-hung juicehead.

Who should I fuck next?

The dancers now crowded along the main singer, feeling her genitals underneath her low-cut black leather dress, exposing her bits to the audience in the first couple of rows.

My tits were moist as hell.
That white liquid oozing out of my nips.

And my cooch kept dripping.
Desperate to get some of that dick out there.

One approaches me...
He gives me two dollars to blow him.
And I say... "Sure."

The dancers start twerking on one another now, and Chill Chillin' Fresh-E L'il Freak Mixx 3000 MC Mama starts grinding on the nearest dancer as she sings.

So I'm sucking dick
And he busts his nut inside me.
I'm too horny to move, so I continue slurping up his man milk.
He tells me to suck some more, not realizing I'm doing all I can.

Later on, he comes up to me, hold his dick to my ass, prodding at my asshole.
And I say, "Sorry. Should've paid me more."

No one is safe on these streets anymore.

You take my massive tits and you give them a squeeze.
It's called Lactation.
But when you mix cum and lactation.
That just turns me on more.

Strobe lights kick in, while she continues to sing. The dancers, however, strip off their tops, revealing their breasts which are oozing milk for no reason in particular.

I'm a hot mess of cum. breast milk, and blood.
I'm not sure what I'm doing here.

I pick up another client
He's like, five foot six.

He's like, "I'm gonna destroy that motherfucking pussy"
And thinks he can handle this, like I'm that inexperienced.
Are you fucking kidding me?

He's just another stupid guy thinking he can handle this cooch.
But I ain't passing up this opportunity.
I need as much money as I can get nowadays.

Who should I fuck next?
Who should I fuck next?

This is the first time I've made over $100 in an hour.

Who should I fuck next?

The dancers all stop, turn around, and flash their anuses toward the crowd, revealing a horrid sight; all of their anuses had been prolapsed. Bloody red organs were seeping out of their anuses, and a few crowd members screamed in horror, but Chill Chillin' Fresh-E L'il Freak Mixx 3000 MC Mama didn't seem to notice; she just walked off stage.

OliveTV
WORLDVISION SPECIAL

Kevin Mousetrap: Well, good evening everyone, and welcome to the WorldVision 45 song contest, and welcome to the beautiful city of Lavington, in the nation of The Sarian. I'm very much excited about this fantastic, wonderful, marvellous, super-terrific contest! I've been invited to do the commentary for this nation, so let's get going!

1: NIGHTOM
Well, it's a powerful song. Not enough rhyming for my liking, but very much a spine-tingler.

2: MISTER X
Oh my. This is very morbid.

3: DREAMPLANET
Meh. A decent song, with decent staging. A middle-of-the-road kind of song.

4: FRENLINE DELPHA

5: TALZEVOUT
I must say, I actually really like this one. The staging is good, the music is good, the lyrics are good.

6. VENKATANARAS IMHARAJUVARIPIETA RDRASKSKA
This sounds slightly Scandinavian.

7. BRITONISEA
A little bit sacchariney for my liking.

8. MISSUS X
Oh dear god. I've just spilled my coffee everywhere laughing!

9. MITOLAND
I like this one. It's quite an interesting song

10. EKOZ
I'm a massive fan of electro dance music, and this song does not disappoint.

Commentary on MRX ONE with Robert Baxter and Sam Smith continues...

Sam: Welcome back, everybody.
Robert: We're straight into the Gregoryisgodistani entry after having taken a sabbatical.

13 GREGORYISGODISTAN

Robert: Gregoryisgodistan, there... I didn't know coconuts classified as fruits.
Sam: Maybe Lord Almighty Gregory and his "friend" are just a little bit thick.
Robert: In any case, it's 9 12 12 13 from a mobile to vote for them or 01721 12 12 13 from a landline.
Sam: And that was a butter entry.
Robert: Now, next we have a rather odd collaboration between the Electrum Diplomatic Offices and Gregoryisgodistan.

14 EDO AN-- [THE COUNTDOWN GRAND FINAL]

Robert: Sorry about that, the broadcast appeared to have cut out after about one minute of that. Unfortunately, we were subjected to 45 minutes of an execution. Even more annoyingly, it was the most interesting bit of the whole song.
Sam: Yep. The dancing was all wrong, it should have been a Viennese Waltz and not a do-si-do. The song was jam, and we still haven't had many decent entries tonight. To vote for EDO-cum-Gregoryisgodistan, you dial 9 12 12 14 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 14 from a landline.

15 THE SWORD BLOKE

16 ANTAHBRANTAHSTAN

Robert: My oh my, that was dull.
Sam: Nothing happened. I nearly fell asleep.
Robert: Didn't make sense with these lyrics either. It appears to have been about someone's mother who sees clouds as a bowl of cereal.
Sam: It was jam. It was hard to tell where the song ended and the silence began. To vote for Antahbrantahstan, dial 9 12 12 16 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 16 from a landline.

17 OISINISTAN

Sam: Yeah, three into one doesn't go.
Robert: I'm not quite sure what I saw there. You're going to break up with her if she doesn't give you porridge? Or if she gives you porridge and can't eat it herself? Man, that's confusing.
Sam: Two lots of super-soft, one hard, and one butter equal... er... somewhat melted butter, I guess.
Robert: And it's 9 12 12 17 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 17 from a landline to vote for them.

18 KWADAI

Robert: The standard this year has been dreadful, so this will do well as a result.
Sam: Yep. It's easily in the top five of what we've heard so far. But it wasn't particularly brilliant, it was ridiculously repetitive and annoying. Bread. And it's 9 12 12 18 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 18 from a landline to vote for it.

19 OWNER-OSITY

20 ADAB

Robert: Best Adab entry I can remember.
Sam: Yep, me too.
Robert: Quite nice. Although I felt there wasn't enough vocal conviction.
Sam: Yep. The song was bread, and it's 9 12 12 20 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 20 from a landline to vote for Adab.

21 ELECTRUM

22 LACTATIA

Robert: Rick Leg's ideal holiday destination.
Sam: Bread. To vote for Lactatia, dial 9 12 12 22 from a mobile or 01721 12 12 22 from a landline.
MISTER X

22. ELECTRUM

Song: "Heroes"
Aritist: Miriam
Tune: Empire State of Mind (Part II) Broken Down by Alicia Keys (3:33 version, other mirrors online may go for longer, but lyrics are the same)

Image

The newly renamed Electrum National Network (renamed from Electrum News Network) got back to work with a new internally selected song. Despite the trend of more national finals before led to calls from Electrumites to hold another Network ENN selection contest, it was decided that it was going to be on hold indefinitely until the trend of national finals sustained. There are already rumours around Network ENN that the songs for the next two editions had already been decided, with the next edition, Edition 46 seeing Electrum resending a disco song, a nod back to their debut entry, for their tenth entry into WorldVision. Also, as a result of the special arrangement with Gregoryisgodistan this edition, the interim arrangement is that Electrum will only award points to the top fifteen nations instead of twenty.

As a contrast to the song they sent last edition, Electrum sent Miriam with a more upbeat song about "Heroes" and how instead of looking to others, people should strive to be heroes to others to make a better world.

Miriam walked on stage with her flowing red dress, followed by four back up singers. On stage already is an old man on the piano. She clutches the microphone, starts looking down, looks up -- the music starts and she starts singing.

Ooooh, Heroes!
Ooooh, Heroes!

0:22
Starting up from the bottom and feeling like absolute zero
Nowhere to go, waiting for someone to pick me up and be my hero
I'll be waiting for you, waiting at the same spot, if you exist
Make sure my heaven on earth is real by appearing from the mist

Once the music turns into the chorus, the whole stage brightens up and in the background is mist, as the stage fills with fog from the previous verse 'appearing from the mist.' The background broadcasts shadows, but they disappear into the fog... Miriam walks around the stage, still holding the microphone as she tries to engage the audience. The camera swoops from above, and Miriam outstretches her hands, as if embracing the people at home.

1:04
We're all living for today, hope for tomorrow they say
Baby be my hero!
It's time to forge a new future
There's nothing you can't do
Make my dreams come true!
The world needs a new hero
Let's break out of the cage
Hear it for our Heroes, Heroes, Heroes!

1:34
A new day beckons, we ain't require a god, but will our hero come?
We'll pour our hearts for you if you go the distance and we'll make you feel at home
Get me down the street, it's time to seize the day cause no one will save us
Let's be our own superheroes and fight, there's no time to discuss

By singing the last like of the verse, the fog disappears, and the screen immediately changes to a black and white city. She sings to the piano man at the back of the stage, but behind her is a screen. What is really happening is that a harness is being placed on her. All of a sudden she rises from the stage and is flying throughout the air. Surprisingly she is still singing. She floats above the audience, circled the stage before coming back down. The chorus suddenly changes to take into account the new verse about people having to be their own heroes.

2:15
We're all living for today, hope for tomorrow they say
Baby we are heroes!
It's time to forge a new future
There's nothing we can't do
Make our dreams come true!
The world needs a new hero
Let's break out of the cage
Hear it for our Heroes, Heroes, Heroes!

2:47
Give it up for those that dare to dream
New day, new dawn, a new future for us
The only time to cry is at the end
Unti then we are our own heroes, everybody say
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

Finally, all the instruments were in play with the drums kicking in. She sings a little bit more passionately as she pulls of her harness. With her feet firmly planted on the ground, she is more expressive, putting both hands to her heart before breaking them apart, signifying the breaking cage. At the same time, twelve doves locked in a cage are all released as the cage door opens -- the white birds fly across the arena before flying back (they are trained) behind the stage. The four back up dancers circle Miriam as she gets to the thrilling conclusion. Even the old man gets into the song and puts all his heart into the piano, playing with a bit more oomph, more action into pressing the keys.

3:02
Our heroes!
It's time to forge a new future
There's nothing we can't do
Make our dreams come true!
The world needs a new hero
Let's break out of the cage
Hear it for our Heroes, Heroes, Heroes!

Miriam cries on stage -- "Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to sing to you all. Be your own heroes and seize the day..." She walks off, followed by the pianist and singers.

24. ARIOSLAVIA
The Raven - "Shadows"

Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBu9N1fJ6bg

The Raven is a punk/Celtic rock band estabilished in 2011. Its members are: Igor Denikin, Amira Ismailova, Viktor Savyelev and Nikita Kruglov. The band represents a genre which is not very common in Arioslavia, as punk rock for many years was perceived by authorities as "too Western and anti-patriotic". This has changed in last 20 years, but Celtic motives are still rare in Arioslavian music. The band, however, was elected to represent the Socialist Federation of Arioslavia in 45th WorldVision Song Contest.

The song itself is a personal story of Denikin and Ismailova, who married in 2012. Ismailova was born in Shershenia (one of Arioslavia's autonomous republics) in a traditional muslim family, who opposed to her choice to become a professional violinist as "sinful". After she met Denikin, they opposed to their relationship (one of her brothers was arrested for threating her with death).
Denikin and Ismailova decided to write a song about their oppressed love. The song uses a motive of an old Arioslavian legend from sixteenth century. The legend says that Tsar Ivan IV the Cruel ordered his best knight - Grigori - to marry a noble woman. The knight, however, met Alina, an ordinary peasant girl and fell in love with her. During one of their secret night meetings they were seen by a traitorous Orthodox monk, who happened to be Grigori's friend. He reported everything to Tsar, who had the lovers arrested, tortured and hanged near the southern walls of Telgrad Kremlin. When they were dragged off for execution, the lovers were cursed by their own parents. However, next year the disease came and the Tsar, the monk and the lover's parents were all dead. It's said that ghosts of Grigory and Alina still can be seen at Kremlin's southern walls, united in love after death.
And that is what's the song about - a true love winning with obstacles of traditional society.

***

The stage is dark, only Ismailova is visible, wearing a long, white dress, which is contrasting with her dark, long hair. She is playing a violin part. The snoop of light reveals Denikin standing near her. The backscreens display a beautiful day view of a green forest and with beautiful castle visible in the horizon. Denikin starts singing:

It was dark summer night
When a girl and her knight
Pledged their love to each other.
No one thought it could even be truth,
As the knight was promised to another.
Then, next day, they were taken away
By the thugs brought by a traitor.
Their love was destroyed and by tyrant's decree
Next morning they hung on gallows.

During the intro the day view of the forest full of live slowly turned into a night view of a withered forest and the castle turned dark and sad. Suddenly, as the music gets quick and more aggressive, light green lights are lighted and the rest of band is revealed. The view of the forest is replaced by a view of sky full of stars, creating an atmosphere of incredibility. The stage is dominated by green and blue colours. Denikin sings the first stanza:

Many years have gone away, but their cries still are heard,
They remind of the cruel slaughter.
Of the moments of horror when the tyrant sealed their fate
And when father cursed her own beloved daughter.
But the loving heart never forgets the pain,
As the pain of love is immortal.
The death couldn't win and the revenge soon came,
And the revenge of the cursed soul is eternal.

The stars in the backround start whirling quickly. The snoops of light concentrate on Denikin:

Remember, hate never wins,
Hate never wins, hate never wins.
The love is so much stronger and
It wins forever.

The flames burst from the stage, as the refrain starts:

They rise up in the midnight to show the world their love again,
Now they are shadows, born by suffering and pain.
Nothing can stop them, gone is their sorrow,
Their feeling is endless, as now they are shadows.

The lights get light blue, as second stanza begins:

The years passed by, but the story still repeats,
Hundreds are sent to the gallows,
Martyrs of love, of a forbidden love,
Another suffering souls and dark shadows.
Their story is sad, no one remembers them,
They have no grave, they just vanished.
They see no light and hear no cry,
Have no feelings as their innocence is punished.

The snoops of light concentrate on Denikin again:

Remember, hate never wins,
Hate never wins, hate never wins.
The love is so much stronger and
It wins forever.

The flames burst again:

They rise up in the midnight to show the world their love again,
Now they are shadows, born by suffering and pain.
Nothing can stop them, gone is their sorrow,
Their feeling is endless, as now they are shadows.

The light gets less intensive and concentrates on Ismailova. The stars are slowly whirling as she plays the violin part. Denikin approaches her and kneels before her for a moment. The instrumental part is getting more intensive, emphasized by lights and bursting flames. Everything stops as Denikin sings the refrain again:

They rise up in the midnight to show the world their love again,
Now they are shadows, born by suffering and pain.
Nothing can stop them, gone is their sorrow,
Their feeling is endless, as now they are shadows.

The symphony of green and blue lights erupts as the refrain is repeated for the last time:

They rise up in the midnight to show the world their love again,
Now they are shadows, born by suffering and pain.
Nothing can stop them, gone is their sorrow,
Their feeling is endless, as now they are shadows.

The beautiful green forest is displayed on screens again. All the lights concentrate on group members and the flames burst and the last line is repeated:

Now they are shadows!

As the song ends, Denikin kisses Ismailova while the audience is applausing.

25. Anonymous Islands
Os Chorli - Chasm

Image

As you know, viewers, this is the very first time the Anonymous Islands have entered the WorldVision music competition. While it has had growing popularity on Aislandian television it was still a rather controversial move and raised equal amounts of mockery as praise among the population. But it would seem the yay-sayers were right as despite the public scorn for the "synth-pop festival" the national competitions consistently became the most watched tv broadcasts of the federation.

Perhaps it's not odd that this controversial entry would lead to the rather controversial Os Chorli ending up the winner. The 27-year old Otokean is well known for her experimental style and eccentric public persona, but did enter the competition with a surprisingly mainstream song which quickly ranked up the charts across AIsland.

Oh, the announcers just stopped talking; time for me to shut up and leave it to Os!

As the cheering from the audience greets her, Os steps out in the middle of the stage with a calm, neutral expression. Her rainbow-coloured dress shines faintly in the dimmed light as she waits silently for a few moments, letting the audience quiet down before the music starts slowly.

You can hear me
Don't pretend
This is not, this is not the end

She paces from left to right along the stage as the music picked up with an electronic bassline prominently joining in.

Clocks are ticking
Counting days
And I count, and I count the ways

The lights placed on Os grows stronger as she stops her pacing and stretches herself up. Behind her the background becomes circles and spirals in silver with rainbow shimmer matching her dress.

Whispers

After a longer instrumental part she raises her microphone high into the air. The lighting suddenly turns red as does the background images, giving the singer a sinister appearance. The music as well as her voice turn harder and louder.

Running silent steps
Hunting to be free
You will not, you will not leave me!

Running silent steps
Hunting to be free
You will not, you will not leave me!

After the second repetition the lighting quickly starts to fade away. Os looks around herself as in shock, her next line sounding less powerful than those before

Never leave me...

Walking around on the dimly lit stage the singer looks up towards the ceiling, looking and sounding confused. Fog starts to roll up around her ankles but is hardly visible in the dark.

I...
I...
I just...

The stage turns entirely black just as Os seemingly falls backwards and disappears under the fog. Only to slow and low volume music shows the audience that the number isn't, in fact, over yet. A few moments passes before the scene begins to be lit up again and Os rises from the fog, speaking the final verse.

Echoes, whispers
Shadows and
Please don't let this be the end

Please

The music stops and the light returns to normal. Os bows towards the audience before turning around, leaving the stage to the sound of cheer and applause.

.:: 26 - The Sarian ::.
.:: Harriet Engels - Revolution ::.

.:: Language(s): English ::.

To the tune of: Florence and the Machine - No Light, No Light

After disappointing finishes in recent WorldVision contests, The Sarian selection committee opted to choose a song with a more anthemic feel, similar to the likes of Vidi's 'Sing Together' in WorldVision 32 and Luis Black's 'Watch You Fall' during WorldVision 40, both of which ended up in the top ten. After a lengthy search, Harriet Engels, a seasoned performer in The Sarian charts was selected with her song 'Revolution', a song she wrote to commemorate the 150th anniversary of a communist revolt that still splits Sarian historians to this day.

"I'm not advocating for a revolution, or even saying I agree with the revolt 150 years ago. It's just something I knew little about, and music is how I make sense of things."

Wearing a cloak with a raised hood, and standing in a parting of the crowd, Harriet stood. She had played many shows before, but somehow she felt this was the biggest. The drummers, standing next to her began beating, they too were stood wearing hoods, with large drums - reminiscent more of 16th century warfare then of any musical instrument in use today. Letting her drummers lead her, they began moving slowly towards the currently barren stage.

Coming onto the stage was a choir, primarily made up of children and pre-teens, but also containing some older members - all of which were chosen from local show-choir groups, they were dressed up as the oppressed proletariat - flat caps, ripped trousers, factory wear or faces covered with soot; it was like something out of a school production of a Dickens, they began their 'ooing' as Harriet finally made it onto the stage, her hood still raised.

People dying, underfed
Parents crying, children dead
Show no emotion, be a machine
Hanging on by a thread

Living on life's frontier
Wake up every morning filled with fear
Every day you lose your heart
We've all bled, we've played our part

As the chorus begun, Harriet ripped off her cloak, revealing a sparkling red dress and her wicked brown hair. More people entered the stage, this time dancers, dressed in the same dickensian proletariat costumes as the choir, though eagle eyed viewers might notice that they were wearing red armbands. They began dancing an almost polynesian war dance behind Harriet as she sang at the front of the stage, looking fierce. The choir continued to support her, now standing at the wings of the stage, whilst the two drummers stood, one either side, still cloaked.

Tonight we fight, for every child who's died
Can't waste another life and stay silent
The revolution will come today
For too long it's the many who've been betrayed

We'll make no return, to yesterday
Tonight we fight
(We fight)
The revolution comes today

When the chorus subsides, the dancers sink to the floor, and as Harriet begins singing the next verse, they begin to rise slightly higher at each line, going from lying on the floor, to crouching slightly in a golem like pose, to crouching marginally higher, before standing almost upright, albeit with bent backs.

Yell out loud ,oh, shout it out, oh,
Say we're not just workers with no names or faces, oh
Adversity caused our fight
Tomorrow we're free, keep the fight till daylight

Suddenly, the all stand upright, like a army ready for battle. Quickly, arranging themselves into lines, they begin marching on the spot behind Harriet, an image amplified by the screen behind the stage, making it look like thousands upon thousands of people are marching behind her.

Here comes the revolution,
Here comes the class fight
The people's liberation,
It's time to make it right
Here comes the revolution
Escape from destitution
Here comes the revolution

Tonight we fight, for every child who's died
Can't waste another life and stay silent
The revolution will come today
For too long it's the many who've been betrayed

We'll make no return, to yesterday
Tonight we fight
(We fight)
The revolution comes today

Like she's been shot, Harriet falls to the floor, and begins to sing, leaning over the stage like a wounded warrior reaching for her sword. The dancers stop their marching behind her, some rush over to her and unsuccessfully try and pull her up, whilst overs visibly flee as the verse, some leaving the stage from the back, others from the front into the crowd, until there are just half a dozen dancers remaining by the end of it.

Time to be free-eeeee,
Together, we will overcome
And we will stay free,
If we remember what we've found
Removed the scars from life,
Strength is in the crowd...

As Harriet sings the long note, she begins to rise again. The choir moves into the centre of the stage, and purposefully put on the same red arm bands that the dancers were wearing earlier, they raise their right arms in unison and triumph.

Tonight we fight, for every child who's died
Can't waste another life and stay silent
The revolution will come today
For too long it's the many who've been betrayed

We'll make no return, to yesterday
Tonight, we fight
The revolution comes today

Here comes the revolution,
Here comes the class fight
The people's liberation,
It's time to make it right
Here comes the revolution
Escape from destitution
The revolution comes today

Leana Yellow-Cinta Semangka (Tune: Nancy Ajram-Ma Tegi Hena)-Song ends 4:34

The stage is simulated to resemble a traditional market environment, the camera zooms in to reveal Leana Yellow, wearing a blazing red dress, facing away from the audience, people who are on the stage looked pretty disgusted looking at her.

When the instrumental start, she began dancing sensually and seductively, with Arabian-style moves, after a while, she turns, facing the audience, the audience are very surprised after seeing her face, some men then jumped into the stage, offering her money, she then orders her muscular assistant to chop watermelons, revealing that she is a watermelon stall owner. She then began to sing after that.
Semangka enak saya jual (Tasty watermelons, i sell that)
Semangka manis saya jual (Sweet watermelons, i sell that)
Hei sayangku janganlah begitu (My darling, don't be like that)
Ku bukan buah (I'm not a fruit)
Eventhough our love is not real
But you tried to make it real
I’m sorry my dear fake boyfriend
But you’re not mine anymore now

She then repeats singing, with the same verse as above, the audience are offered watermelon slice by her assistant, after that, a man wearing a police uniform came, Leana looks visibly disgusted by this, and decides to close her stall.

The stalls and the people on the stage then goes backstage quickly, The LED screens shows a kaleidoscopic image of Leana looking on the mirror while trying her red dress.
You promised me to be faithful
But sweet things from your mouth is just lies
I don’t really like you anymore
But you keep sending me bouquets
You promised me to be faithful
But sweet things from your mouth is just lies
I don’t really like you anymore
But you keep sending me bouquets

She then "rides" a truck onstage, with the truck carrying many watermelons, she sings while she is "driving"
Semangka enak saya jual (Tasty watermelons, i sell that)
Semangka manis saya jual (Sweet watermelons, i sell that)
Hei sayangku janganlah begitu (My darling, don't be like that)
Ku bukan buah (I'm not a fruit)

The song then becomes an instrumental, and she goes out from the truck, she takes a table from the truck's back and began to sell watermelons in the middle of the road, many men, comes to her to buy some watermelons and she puts the money that she has collected inside her bra, after awhile, a man passes by and says, "Leana?", Leana, disgusted, then says, "Who's Leana?", she then puts away everything and "drives" the truck.
Hei sayangku jangan coba (Hey, my darling don't try)
Membuatku jadi pacarmu lagi (Making me your girlfriend again)
Ku hanya penjual b’wah biasa (I'm just a normal fruit seller)
Jual pisang, semangka dan pepaya (Selling bananas, watermelons and papayas)
Ku mend’rita karenamu (I'm suffering because of you)
Oh, kurasakan patah hati (Oh, i feel heartbroken)
Sayangku kau memang pembohong (My dear you are a liar)
Yang lebih licik dari rubah (That is more sly than a fox)

After a while, she suddenly "brakes" the truck and most watermelons then fell into the stage, causing a "traffic jam", the policeman from the beginning then comes and handcuffs her.

The LED screens shows an inside of the police station, and the stage is also simulated to resemble a police station, we see the policeman wearing nothing while Leana seduces him.
You promised me to be faithful
But sweet things from your mouth is just lies
I don’t really like you anymore
But you keep sending me bouquets
You promised me to be faithful
But sweet things from your mouth is just lies
I don’t really like you anymore
But you keep sending me bouquets

After a while seducing, Leana runs away from the police station, the policeman looked in disgust.
Semangka enak saya jual (Tasty watermelons, i sell that)
Semangka manis saya jual (Sweet watermelons, i sell that)
Hei sayangku janganlah begitu (My darling, don't be like that)
Ku bukan buah (I'm not a fruit)
Eventhough our love is not real
But you tried to make it real
I’m sorry my dear fake boyfriend
But you’re not mine anymore now
Semangka enak saya jual (Tasty watermelons, i sell that)

Ronela Istrefi- Never Alone
to the tune of Heart Shaped Hole- Simone

link for US users

Ronela had won the new national final, Pozitivu. However, her entry was very "by-the-numbers" and, while it got fans behind her, the rest of the media and regular viewers seemed indifferent. It was not something that would be found on the radio, nor a unique or ethnic sound that the nation could be particularly proud of. It was seen as "safe" and "inoffensive". Throughout reheasals, Ronela did little to dispel these criticisms, but noted that songs and performances like hers have done well before.

The performance opened with a back-lit shot of Ronela. She was facing away from the camera, but her shadow could be seen, mouth moving.

From across the seas
over mountains high
I will be
with you
in any way

Through your highest highs
to your darkest nights
I am here
come whatever may

The music was building, and the camera cut to her hand slowly being raised as the camera itself rotated around to her front. She was grasping the mic on a stand.

Take my hand and soon it all will be alright
But you make the choice
go off on your own and fall into the void
or fall into me because

At the beginning of the chorus, the shot was now of Ronela clear in front. It quickly zoomed out to show a burst of light as she began the first line. Ronela was clearly emotive and expressive, doing head movements and pointing to the camera.

Here
in my arms
you belong
You are never alone
and I know
this will stay
just how God wants it to be

The camera quickly zoomed back into a tight shot of her face. She stared into the camera, tracking it as it went around her.

They try to stop us but
we got something more
something bigger than the world we know

and I think that I see myself in you
your reflection shows
that you and I are forever intertwined
and you know that only

The camera zoomed back out like the first chorus, now revealing a choir of 5 backing singers, all copying Ronela's movements.

Here
in my arms
you belong
You are never alone
and I know
this will stay
just how God wants it to be

Ronela removed the mic from the stand and started walking rather quickly down the runway. She acknowledged a few fans, making eye contact. During the final verse of the bridge, she stops moving, and a lone spotlight shines on her.

Don't care what they say
With you I will stay
just how, how it should be

Gone is all the pain
broke though all the chains
just how God wants it to be

Don't care what they say
With you I will stay
just how, how it should be

The spotlight is gone as a storm of lights sweeps across the stage. Showers of red-gold rain from above, creating a very epic, winners vibe.

Here
in my arms
you belong
You are never alone
and I know
this will stay
just how God wants it to be

The final shot was one that included both Ronela and the arena. A small Bloodbathian contingent was going absolutely bonkers, while the rest of the crowd was clapping, not too ecstatic. She smiled really big, and said "Thank you, Lavington!" before skipping quickly off stage.

TELEMARK - "DECADES"
TUNE -HERE

Telemark finds themselves on the back of the stage under the awning with instruments in hand. The two males can be seen wearing red tuxes, while the woman is wearing a silk red dress. The lights shine bright enough so that they can be seen without issues. On all of the sides of the stages, are tables, each filled with what appear to be normal people all in wedding dress attire. There appear to be about 40 people in all.

As Telemark begins to play, cameras turn to the audience showing 30 people near the front all in red attire.
I didn’t think that we’d go on, keeping our love strong
I had no dreams of setting suns, I thought that we were done
Didn’t believe that things would change, but you kept me close like a dog’s chain
Passed through all the stumbles we neared, now it’s been ten years

As Telemark continues to perform with their music growing in volume a man and a woman emerge onto true center stage. She is wearing a long flowing white wedding dress with a red bow around it. He is wearing a traditional wedding tux with a red tie. They begin dancing at center stage.

Here we are in the sunlight, basking in blue skies
You said you would never let go of me
You held me tighter, my soul never felt lighter
Take shelter with me, Forever

Several other people sitting at the side tables now begin to stand up in awe of the couple. They bring out their cameras to watch the dance, and they get closer.

We tried hard to keep our love in shape, never gave up the faith
Made me feel like no one other as I basked in your warm embrace (warm embrace)
I could look at you for days, never losing place in your gaze
oh oh, oh oh
For years and years to come along, Don’t ever leave me alone (alone)
Here we are in the sunlight, basking in blue skies
You said you would never let go of me
You held me tighter, my soul never felt lighter
Take shelter with me, Forever
and ever [repeat]

Two older couples now can be seen dancing near Telemark (the parents of the bride and groom). They begin to dance with one another on the back stage. At the end of the verse everyone from the tables now begin to flood to center stage and to the back stage in order to dance.
No more darkened skies,
End to lonely nights,
when I didn’t know how to feel
This life we share
has been repaired
I can’t imagine years without you
I can’t imagine years without you, you
I can’t imagine years without you, you
Stay close by me for decades, decades
Stay here with me for decades, decades

As the song enters the final portion, the wedding party members in the audience also flock onto the stage to hug everyone on stage.
Here we are in the sunlight, basking in blue skies
You said you would never let go of me
You held me tighter, my soul never felt lighter
Take shelter with me, Forever
and ever [repeat]

As Telemark finishes, female singer Macy Lee screams "Thank you and goodnight!"

The cameras then pan to the bride's father getting teary-eyed until everything cuts to black.

ATV1 - Live from Lavington, The Sarian
Commentary by Nikolay Gorchakov and Daria Nekrasova

Nikolay: Good evening, I'm Nikolay Gorchakov and I'm here in Lavington with Daria Nekrasova to comment for you the 45th WorldVision Song Contest.
Daria: Good evening.
N: Lavington has been chosen as the host of tonight's show defeating Mister Xian and Sword Blokean bids. The organisators wish to "bring the contest back to its roots". I think it's a good idea, isn't it?
D: Of course. Arioslavia will be represented tonight by band The Raven. We'll go as 24th.
N: Ok, let's watch the opening act.

00. Opening act

N: Great appetizer for the rest of the show.
D: Yes, let's hope we don't get disappointed by tonight's entries.
N: Listening to this song I can feel solidarity with all the nations of the world, like...
D: Gregoryisgodistan?
N: Uhm... Nightom, for example.

01. Nightom

D: Nice song.
N: I love the violin. It's not very WorldVision-style but it can get lots of points.
D: I wish them all the best.
N: Me too. Next one, Mister X.

02. Mister X

N: Meh. Boring.
D: Well, I feel sorry for this guy, this was very emotional. The lyrics are quite good but the music is a bit annoying.
N: Now, our third participant - Dreamplanet. Didn't they quit the WorldVision, by the way?
D: It seems they are back.

03. Dreamplanet

N: Ana has powerful voice.
D: Yes, nearly as powerful as whole Arioslavian Red Army Choir... Good return, but I doubt if the audience will vote for her.
N: Let's hope they will. Now, number 4 - Frenline Delpha.

04. Frenline Delpha

05. Talvezout

N: Nothing special. Talvezout usually has great songs but I think this one gets forgotten.
D: Unfortunetely. The song itself is ok, but it lacks something.
N: Now, ladies and gentlemen, if you thought that Monaeroglisseurest Pleindanguilles was the nation with the longest name in WorldVision history, then you are in mistake. I present you Verkanta... Vestranka... Ventaskar... Venkataranas Imharajuvaripieta Rdraskska!
D: Let's call them VIR for short.

06. VIR

D: A long name won't help them.
N: Well, they can get points but that's not tonight's winner. Next is Britonisea and Evangeline Hope.

07. Britonisea

N: Well, you can call it a common song but I think it was good.
D: Yes, very mainstream but the audience liked it. I won't be surprised if Evangelina wins.
N: Britonisea is usually a candidate for a winner. Now, Missus X.

08. Missus X

N: Oh my...
D: The message is great. Use condoms. Really. We don't need unwanted pregnancies. And they prevent some really awful diseases...
N: But why do we have to watch this at the music contest? It could be great as a promotional song for Ministry of Health campaign...
D: Who's next?
N: Mitoland.

09. Mitoland

N: I liked it.
D: Me too. Nice song. But it can be even too mainstream to win.
N: It may win but it may end up at the bottom aswell. Now, number ten - Ekoz.

10. Ekoz

N: As for me, a strong candidate to win.
D: Great song! I loved it.
N: We'll see how they do. Now, Polkopia.

11. Polkopia

N: Typical Polkopian entry. Something you would like to listen to while driving. Not bad. And I like the fact that the song is partially in Polkopian.
D: Yes, Oksana did her best. Probably well enough to give Polkopia at least a top five.
N: Probably. Next one is Normandy & Picardy. Expect a good song.

12. Normandy & Picardy

N: Another good song. I like the lyrics - there are lots of ways of interpretation of this song.
D: It was interesting. Another candidate for a winner.
N: Surely. Now... oh, my... Gregoryisgodistan...
D: Why are you so sad? We'll probably see a performance about their would-like-to-be-almighty dictator...

13. Gregoryisgodistan

N: Poor xylocarps... What had these poor fruits done to them that they hate them so much? It's mass murder!
D: I always thought that we should conquer them. Or just nuke.
N: Guess who's next... Gertrude Pullman and Lord Almighty Gregory!
D: What???

14. EDO and Gregoryisgodistan

N: Why? Why do we have to watch this?
D: No comment. They should ban it.
N: Next one. Sword Bloke...
D: Eh...

15. Sword Bloke

N: Well, if you decided to boycott Sword Bloke and switched to another channel, then you didn't miss anything important.
D: Please... Something normal...
N: Antahbrantahstan, for example?

16. Antahbrantahstan

N: Listen to this angelic voices!
D: Beautiful, although a bit too exalted.
N: Never mind! Everything is better than three previous songs. Next one is Oisinistan.

17. Oisinistan

D: Uh...
N: It seems that Antahbrantahstan's song was just a tiny, beautiful island on the ocean of absurd... Next one, please!

18. Kwadai

N: Nice song, quite similar to Polkopian one. She has a great voice.
D: Comparing to some other songs *cough* it's really good.
N: Especially if Owner-osity is next...

19. Owner-osity

N: No, please. Not another sick song...
D: Heads up, Adab is next. A song about killing is the last thing we should expect. Luckily.

20. Adab

N: Well, when I heard that they sent Kinan again, I was like "sigh... again".
D: But really, it's a good song.
N: I feel sympathy for Kinan, but I'd like to see someone else. I'm sure he isn't the only good singer in Adab.

21. Lactatia

D: DISGUSTING!
N: What's the point in showing us bloody organs? It would be controversial enough without this.
D: I smell a Gregoryisgodistani inspiration for this song. Let's forget it as quickly as possible.

22. Electrum

N: One of the best songs tonight. With a great message.
D: Indeed. It will not be surprise if Miriam gets into final five.
N: Next one - Yttribia.

23. Yttribia

24. Arioslavia

N: Great song, but I'm afraid that that's just too original.
D: Well, our country has long tradition of sending non-mainstream songs to WorldVision. But the audience seems to like it.
N: Let's hope it gets a good place.

25. Anonymous Islands

D: I don't like this one.
N: Why a capella? Or maybe we're deaf? Now, the hosts - The Sarian!

26. The Sarian

N: Wow! A Communist song? Nice!
D: Respect for them - they aren't ashamed of their nation's history. It's powerful.
N: My number one for now.
D: Mine too.

27. Kuala Lumpla

N: So, in your opinion it was haraam or halal? Ekhm...
D: Hey, don't be racist. It was like an Oriental fairy tale.
N: About watermelons?
D: Maybe there were xylocarps?
N: Uhm, ok. But don't you think it was a bit monotonous?
D: That's what Arabic music is about. Being monotonous. Imagine riding through a desert on a camel to this tune.
N: Epic. I see 12 points from Arioslavia. Or maybe that's just a desert mirage.

28. Bloodbath Generation

N: It is very catchy.
D: I like it. It's not tonight's winner, however.
N: Why not?
D: Because I'm sure it loses to Polkopia. It will be a nice surprise if it doesn't.
N: Now, Vettrera.

29. Vettrera

D: Some may find it surprising, but I'm not fan of it.
N: It's ok, but it's average.

30. Tödlichebujoku

N: Not bad.
D: I agree. I'm sure it ends up at least in top ten.
N: Possibly. But you know, it's ToBu. They really know how to fit their songs to the WorldVision style. Anyway, I don't think they win tonight.
D: Now, Brittany. Their last song was awesome.
N: Indeed, Sophie had a great performance. So, let's listen.

31. Brittany

N: No doubt, it's a good song. Anyway, I prefered their previous entry.
D: The tune is a bit annoying, but I love the lyrics and Adam's voice.
N: I won't be surprised if this song gets a lot of points.
D: It deserves this.

32. Nekoni

N: A beautiful song about world peace.
D: Yeah, back to WorldVision roots.
N: We shall remember this one.

33. Ethane

D: That's lovely!
N: It's a "girly" song, but I like it.

34. Porterno

D: Another brilliant song! I love her! Oh, Apollo the music god, tell us how to vote - so many great songs tonight!
N: She's awesome!

35. Kasanova-Koratica

N: I thought we hit the limit of silly songs tonight...
D: Luckily, it was short.

36. Silvacometopia

37. Izmedu

N: Oh... What happened Izmedu?
D: I loved their previous entries, I even found myself singing it. But not this one. It's not bad but... monotonous.
N: Sorry Izmedu. Now, time for Kalosia.

38. Kalosia

D: Two words to sum it up: sweet and naive.
N: Yes. I'd expect more from Kalosia. It may get points, however.

Post-performance commentary

N: This was our last song. The voting is about to start... Remember, you can't vote for Arioslavia unless you are abroad. Now, ladies and gentlemen, everything is in your hands.
D: This was a great contest, wasn't it?
N: Indeed! I enjoyed it. Except for several silly and absurd songs, it was a really good WorldVision edition.
D: I'm sure many voters have a headache right now over who to vote for. We had some really brilliant songs. Who would you choose?
N: The Sarian or Britonicea.
D: Me too. But there are other strong candidates to win: Ekoz, Polkopia, Normandy & Picardy...
N: We'll see.

_30. _TÖDLICHEBUJOKU_

Emotionally

A2

Aimo Adler, commonly known as A2, is a Äußerstenkeiken native who made his name in several very popular rap/pop collaborations with various Äußer stars. However, he only became a true household name when his shard videos went viral on the crystallomatrix, attracting millions of young fans with his quirky way of living. He actually wasn't one of the main artists involved in the fabled TÖBUK rap entry, but he did help produce the music. A2's unusual sort of popularity helped the broadcaster pick him as Tödlichebujoku's WV45 entry, as the aforementioned fabled entry was still incomplete.
"Emotionally" is A2's first solo song, and as such, critics are treating it as a measure of his talent. Vaunted by the pre-adolescent portion of the matrix as one of the best producers in the nation's music industry, A2's work in "Emotionally" has left professional critics underwhelmed in the face of his reputation on the matrix, judged as being fairly average instead of stellar and not representative of his persona. A2 himself has largely ignored the critical comments and continued on with his videos, racking up hundreds of thousands of hits per video. Does "Emotionally" have the special something that lures kids and teens to A2's videos? And will this translate to the international audience?

The stage's accents flash blue as the music begins. At first a recording of the title plays, then A2 is illuminated in the middle of the stage, surrounded by darkness with his head facing down. He begins
Emotionally
Emotionally
Pulling me emotionally
Emotionally

The lights illuminate six backup dancers, three on each side of him (A2 and his dancers). He steps forward, placing his hand on his heart, then his head, then pressing his hands together as he sings the relevant lyrics. His movements are copied by the dancers
Emotionally
Personally
You blow my mind so radically
Time and again we meet so perfectly
Make it a game but keep it simple for me

He acts out his rap lines along with the dancers, who shift into a V formation behind him
Hold me so close you can feel my heart beat
Better together no matter the heat
We push and we pull but never go down
No matter what our flame will burn on

The background screen displays alternating vertical black and white bars as the dancers move in synchrony, shifting their hips and tapping at their hearts (OOC: inspired by this)
Emotionally
Emotionally
Pull me in emotionally
Emotionally

The vertical bars burst into a rainbow of color as the lights brighten on the stage, and the dancers perform a more sweeping but less complex dance routine. A2 looks engagingly toward the audience
Hey! Let's not tempt fate
No, our love won't break
Whoa, we shouldn't know
But we can make the earth shake

The background screen bars ripple with color and the stage lights brighten momentarily, and A2 jumps energetically
Hey! No time to wait
Yo, love's what's at stake
So, make sure it grows
Nurture that seed in our hearts

The lights turn down so that the stage is in half light, and the bars return to black and white. The dancers perform a less sweeping, smoother routine while spotlights flash straight down randomly with the beat. As A2 raps, he does so directly to the audience, not just at them, and a spotlight illuminates him
Emotionally

Scandalously
Magically
You're no less attractive psychologically
We can be much better, we can be together
We can be the fire that sets off the storm

He reaches out both physically and with his expression. During their routine, the dancers whirl and nod to the audience
Ask me now, ask me how we could be sound
Never forget how well our minds resound
Make a mistake and ask for a hand
Emotionally oh I'll understand

The spotlight on him dims, leaving the entire stage in half light once again, except for the rhythmically flashing vertical spotlights. The dancers and A2 perform a more robotic dance
Emotionally
Emotionally
Together emotionally
Emotionally

The lights brighten and the background screen's bars burst into rainbow colors again. The dancers join A2 in jumping along with the chorus
Hey! Let's not tempt fate
No, our love won't break
Whoa, we shouldn't know
But we can make the earth shake

Hey! No time to wait
Yo, love's what's at stake
So, make sure it grows
Nurture that seed in our hearts

The lights cut out on stage, leaving the stage surrounded by darkness and lit only by the pulsating rainbow bars on the screen, which have little heart symbols in the middle of each bar in a contrasting color. A2 and his dancers are silhouettes against the screen as they move and dance rhythmically
Emotionally
Emotionally
Pulling me emotionally
Emotionally

Webs of multicolored lasers strobe about the stage
Emotionally
Emotionally
Pull me in emotionally
Emotionally

The lasers and rainbow bars disappear, and a pale, warm light illuminates A2's face. His dancers crowd around him, reaching toward the light
Crash and burn and I'll be there to hold you
Help you through the trials of true fortune
Never a thing that I wouldn't have told you
Darkness, won't (ever!) tear us, apart

The lights and stage strobe once
Come here close to me!

The stage bursts back to life in an explosion of color and light, with the bursting rainbow bars spreading all over the stage, an arc of sparks shooting out from the stage, and waves of spotlights sweeping over the audience. The dancers spread out across the stage, then follow A2 as he heads down the projecting platform
Hey! Let's not tempt fate
No, our love won't break
Whoa, we shouldn't know
But we can make the earth shake

Hey! No time to wait
Yo, love's what's at stake
So, make sure it grows
Nurture that seed in our hearts

The lights and color turn down, resulting in a dark stage lit only by occasional strobe lights and white bar on the background screen
Emotionally
Emotionally

The strobing lights and bars eventually stop

"Major thank you to all you babes and bros out there!" A2 shouts. "Love this track, 'Emotionally'! You all be smart and loyal!" he continues before the video cuts away.

31- Brittanny
Sur Les Étoiles (Under The Stars) - Adam Selperre
Tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvNCxCKBblI

Following the success for the nation last contest, BRT decided they would take a risk and explore different styles of music over the next couple of contests, and the first part of this exploration of different styles and background is "Sur Les Étoiles". It has a laid back, lounge music style to it, yet still packs a punch. A simple song, the story of a man declaring his love for this woman he has never met, BRT have decided to hold back on the theatrics; everything is going to be simple and held back. Adam Selperre is an artist from St Belier, a fairly rich suburb of the city of Brest. He was originally going to study law at university, but during College (OOC: using the UK definition of College), he also studied music and fell into a musical group of friends, unwittingly becoming a pioneer of the style of music called, "Genre Brestaise" in Brittanny, of which this song is an archetypal example. It certainly is a risk on the part of BRT, and many in Brittanny have questioned how well the act will do; however, BRT has simply said they aren't simply looking for success, but instead are using the contest to highlight new styles and artists.

As the song starts, the viewers at home are shown the background of the screen, which shows a sunset-esque image on a beach, presumably on some sort of tropical island. As the opening repetition ends, the cameras move away from the background to show Adam, in a brown leather jacket and a pair of denim jeans like this, sitting on some sort of box and looking straight towards the camera, swaying with the music whilst singing to the girl the song is about. He just generally moves with the music, looking chilled out and relaxed.

Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi x4 (Love Me, Love Me, Love Me)

Elle a marché dans ma vie (She walked into my life)
Et il a changé sens dessus-dessous (And it turned topsy-turvy)
Elle est ma seule et unique (She is my one and only)
Et je la vois dans mes rêves (And I see her in my dreams)
Je ne peux pas dormir grâce à soi (I can't sleep thanks to her)

As the verse ends, the cameras lift up and fade, and after a few second return to Adam, now standing up and singing the chorus. He looks into the camera as they pan around him, on his level. The sun in the sunset image in the background begins to set fully; by the end of the chorus it will be replaced by a starry sky.

Et je veux à dire (And I want to say)
Adores-moi chéri (Love me baby)
Adores-moi comme je te veux, et (Love me like I want you, and)
Je veux l’embrasser sur les étoiles (I want to kiss her under the stars)
Et voir son sourire (And to see her smile)
Et t’entendre quand je dis « chéri » (And here her when I say "baby")

Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi x8 (Love Me, Love Me, Love Me)

As the second verse begins, Adam sings forwards, using the traditional outstretched arm/air grab in order to express his longing for his love. The camera pans around him, before settling to his face as the last line is sung.

Mon amour ne l’estompe jamais (My love will never fade)
Même si les années passer (Even if the years pass by)
Je serais ici encore (I will be here still)
Quand tous les autres sont partis (When everyone else has left)
Mais un jour même je dois partir (But one day even I must leave)

During the second chorus, the lights fade then become more intense every so slightly, changing to different, tropical-esque colours (purples, reds and oranges), and the stars in the background also change colour and change their intensity. Aside from that, not much else happens.

Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi x4 (Love Me, Love Me, Love Me)

The lights fade and everything once again focuses on Adam as he sings the chorus/bridge (using a modified form of the chorus for the bridge is common in "Genre Brestais"). The lights are dim and have stopped changing colour, and the cameras also focus on Adam.

Et je veux à dire (And I want to say)
Adores-moi chéri (Love me baby)
Adores-moi comme je te veux, et (Love me like I want you, and)
Je veux l’embrasser sur les étoiles (I want to kiss her under the stars)
Oh, je l'adore, oh je l'adore

There is a flash of orange and then the final chorus begins, with the lights changing colour again and Adam still singing and swaying to the music. Once again, not much happens, but during the last chorus of "Adores-Moi, the cameras generally pan around the stage.

Et je veux à dire (And I want to say)
Adores-moi chéri (Love me baby)
Adores-moi comme je te veux, et (Love me like I want you, and)
Je veux l’embrasser sur les étoiles, sur les étoiles (I want to kiss her under the stars)
Et voir son sourire (And to see her smile)
Et t’entendre quand je dis « chéri » (And here her when I say "baby")

Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi (Sur les étoiles...)
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi (Et je veux à dire...)
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi(Et je veux à dire...)
Adores-moi, adores-moi, adores-moi

As the song ends, the cameras turn up and show the starry background, with the stars twinkling, as the music fades out. Adam can be heard shouting "Merci beaucoup!" as he leaves the stage, making the way for the next act.

Hello, and welcome to the live STE broadcast of the WorldVision Song Contest, hosted by the beautiful city of Lavington, the Sarian. Tonight, over thirty nation's will perform for your votes, but only one can be crowned winner of the contest.

Image

Imgimar: My name is Ingimar Sjellerson, brand new commentator of the STE's coverage of the contest and new host of the soon-to-return MelodieFestivålen national final. In order for our international viewers online, of which over 3.2 million of them did last edition, I will be commentating in the English language, although, Ekozian subtitles will be available via the iKvnap (Interactive Button), or via the STE's app.

As previously mentioned, over thirty nations will compete for your vote, but only one can win! Tonight, Friedrik Zaal represents the Ekozian people with his single "Soaring", and will perform tenth. This marks the fourteenth time Ekoz has entered the competition but will Friedrik be able to bring the title back to Ekoz? Who knows...

Our hosts, the Sarian have been extremely welcoming and friendly, and I must say the beer here is fantastic! The WorldVision pre-parties wild here! Anyway, I believe the show is about to start, ladies and gentlemen, sit back and relax, it's the WorldVision Song Contest.

Opening Act
Ah yes, I remember watching this on television way back when. I fancied Vidi then, and I still do now. Anyway, a great performance and a great, warming opening to what will no doubt be a fantastic show.

Nightom
Interesting, it's different for sure with the mix of the two genres. I'm not sure how well it would do in the Ekoesestoplistann, but it's by no means a bad performance. A nice touch with the background visuals too.

Mister X
I'm rather shocked. I might have slightly enjoyed this, it's not something MRX One usually sends. Perhaps they're getting serious! Mister X entries always have a habit of sounding slightly dated, so I don't think its our winner, but I could very much rave to this in a nightclub after a few cheeky ones.

Dreamplanet
A brilliant return from Dreamplanet. If this gets released in Ekoz, I have no doubt this entry will chart and possibly chart well. The performance lacked a bit of movement but that's not to take away what a good entry it is!

Freline Delpha

Talvezout
Last edition's hosts. I'm unsure about this. The performance with the neon baton's is the better part of the entry no doubt, I'm just not sure this entry will stand out.

Venkatanaras Imharajuvaripieta Rdraskska
Sorry everyone, I'm never ever going to attempt to say that name, let's just call it VIR for short. To be completely honest, I can't see this breaking the top ten tonight in Ekoz especially, however I could be very wrong. This type of music is becoming popular, so who knows.

Britonisea
Ever since their win, Britonisea has become a music hit maker. It's well staged. I'm pretty sure I've heard this on STE Radio, although I could be wrong. Maybe it's a sign.

Missus X
Missus X always deliver with their entries. They deliver absolute garbage to the WorldVision stage. That's all I have to say about this entry.

Entry No.32: NEKONI
Brighter Than Before
Sándor Riccia

Based on: Standing on the Edge of the World by Ola Salo

Image

Sándor Riccia is a singer-songwriter aged 29, hailing from the mountain village of Roszdaverena in south-east Nekoni. From a young age Sándor's life was strongly influenced by music, with his father (a former session musician) teaching him guitar. He always wanted to pursue a career in music, especially rock, leaving school at age 18 with average results, and recording his first two albums within three years.

His career, however, has been a slow-burner, enjoying modest success until 2013, when his single, the electronic-rock anthem 'Northern Lights' won a NTR Radio 1 contest to be the theme song of the Nekoni soccer team, of which their third-place position in the Baptism of Fire that year led the track to be the best selling song of the year.

His next two albums were a more electronic, less rock-based sound, leading some fans to complain of selling out, yet he has been lauded by critics and the public alike, scoring top three with both. Brighter Than Before is the first track of his newest album, "Della notte", the first album to contain songs in Italian. However, the single used for WorldVision 45 is completely in English.

The stage in front of the palace contains a large video wall around the back, which extends onto the floor. In the centre of the video floor is a dark blue plinth, roughly six inches high, three feet in diameter. Sándor is seated, cross legged on it. He is wearing a white leather jacket, unzipped, a tight, plain black T-shirt, black leather slacks and white sneakers.

As the song starts, the video wall and floor are in dark blue as the plinth. Multiple lines of bright green, blue and white cascade from the video wall down across the floor, forming into position on the plinth, each line twisting into a geometric shape on the plinth when it arrives. Around twenty of these form around Sándor by the time his vocals begin, at which point the plinth's top now resembles a map of the world.

I was brought to the world in a violent time
A world that forgot how
To drop their guns and unite in song and rhyme
We need to relearn now

The dark blue of the stage gradually transforms to a blood red by the time the third line is reached. The lines that make up the Earth's land mass transition to black and white.

For the next line, all the stage furniture fades to black, coming back to the default dark blue when the chorus is reached.

From the ones who gave to us all that we possess
While there's still people left
To live on

Sándor stands up on his plinth. As he stands, the land masses fly back across the floor and onto the back wall. As they move, their colours and shapes change to triangles of various primary colours. During the chorus, the back wall begins to resemble the single cover (OOC: the graphic of the YouTube link), with the floor pulsing a black 'heart monitor' line to the hand claps.

If we
We learn to love again
Maybe our broken souls will mend
Give peace a try again
Our enemies become our friends
With all of this, for sure
We'll come back brighter than before

When the song fully kicks in, Sándor jumps off his plinth, the lights switching between primary and secondary colours in a flurry.
The triangles on the stage wall 'explode' off, with footage of the following events of life in Nekoni spliced with each other: a crowd of people walking through a city, a young couple embracing in a hug in a cornfield, a group of old men in a park in summer playing dominoes, a close up of one of them turning to the camera and smiling, the silhouette of a young girl at the top of a mountain, admiring the view of the countryside.

As the next verse begins, the triangles return to the wall, the lights remain at their natural shade. The camera follows Sándor, as he walks along the stage horizontally, with the full view of the crowd behind him.

Raise your hands, it's the time to break out of the shade
Open up your hearts
Come, step up, become one, before the sun fades
The revolution is gonna start
Tonight

The camera spins to the stage-facing one. The large video wall folds out vertically, to reveal the palace, lit up via searchlights with the Nekoni blue and gold. From each side, five backing singers appear, all dressed in white, an equal mix of male and female. They line up along the back wall, where the video wall once was.

And if
We learn to love again
Maybe our broken souls will mend
Give peace a try again
Our enemies become our friends
With all of this, for sure
We'll come back brighter than before

During the second "break", Sándor is standing on the plinth, playing a white electric guitar in the classic Les Paul shape. The lights flicker between colours in the same way as the first one.

We'll come back brighter than before

The lights illuminating the palace come together to create one large circle of blue and gold, with a large black heart in the centre.

We'll come back brighter than before

As the bridge comes, Sándor sheathes his guitar to his side, and grabs the microphone stand, delivering the next few lines with a fiery, honest passion.

We're gonna start it tonight
Set the whole world to rights
Bring back honesty, love
Compassion, re-ignite
The fire in us that
We lost from us back
When we let the hateful shadows darken our backs
Together, we'll come out from the dark
And come back brighter than before

The lights and floor flash gold to the synth stabs of the end of the bridge. Sándor remains on the plinth, guitar in position, head arched upward, eyes closed. Upon the first strum of the chorus, the lights change colour to a lighter blue. Bright yellow pyros 'shower' the area above his plinth. Whilst he's playing, Sándor has a beaming smile on his face. He's clearly both enjoying the performance, and feeling every word of every line he sings. As the chorus continues, the backing singers form a circle around the plinth.

And if
We learn to love again
Maybe our broken souls will mend
Give peace a try again
Our enemies become our friends
With all of this, for sure
We'll come back brighter than before

Sándor closes his eyes for the shouting of the song's title.

(We'll learn to love again
Our broken hearts will mend)
Brighter than before! Brighter than before! Yeah!

On the "Yeah", more pyros are let off in front of the stage from the floor upwards.

We're going to try again
Never going to reach the end

As he delivers the last line, all the lights fade out, leaving one white spotlight illuminating him and the backing singers. All of them looking into the camera, holding a smile of optimism.

We'll come back brighter than before

The song ends, as the crowd wildly cheer, Sándor wipes a tear from his eye, and yells "Thank you, Sarian! Forza Lavintonia!" as the camera feed fades into the next song's postcard.

33- Ethane
Roxanne Boychack- Open Your Eyes

Image
Ethane yet again underachieved in the eyes of the ENTV last year, placing a meager 15th. This was an improvement from the debutant song that the tv organisation sent in, but it was not as great an improvement as they had hoped for. There were calls for a change in organisation of the decision-making process, which according to many critics, had decided on two poor songs that could not make it on the big stage. These calls led to the decision to change to a public decision making process, with a national final on the agenda. 10 different songs were sent to the National Final, which all had their own different qualities about them, sending different messages. 3 of the songs seemed to stand out, with the songs by Roxanne Boychack, Vanessa Loves and Wildcard finishing within 2 points of each other. Wildcard was as the name of the band suggests, a wildcard, which did surprisingly well, but they just missed out on performing at Worldvision to Roxanne Boychack and Vanessa Loves, who will later be performing for Porterno. This complete change in tack led to the picking of this song for Ethane, which sees a move away from a male singer, with a smooth, slower feel to a much more lively, female-sung song. ENTV will be using this new direction to aim for a to 10 finish, showing they are worthy of keeping the contract for Worldvision (see other thread).

Roxanne Boychack was born to a working class family in one of Ethane's major cities. Faced with many disadvantages throughout her school life, she often fell behind, unable to keep up with the level of her classmates. She first found her talent at the age of 9, when she was asked to take a lead role in a school musical, which she excelled at, wowing the audience. At the age of 16 she entered a talent contest, which saw her perform a ballad by Adellar, a famous Ethanian singer, who sold a record number of albums in the first week of sales. She won the contest, which saw her take home a £10,000 pound prize. About 6 weeks after the talent contest, she opened up her own E.Tube channel, on which she started to write and record her own songs on. Hitting 2 million subscribers within a year, she shot to fame after her popular song 'Timid' was viewed 200 million times. Spotted by ENTV Introducing, she was signed, and immediately began working on her own album.

Her first album, ''Gone'', shot up her credibility in the market, reaching 200,000 sales within a week, in physical format only. With hit songs such as ''Another One'' and ''Goodbye'' both reaching the top 40 in Ethane, catapulting her into the spotlight, she began a major tour around Ethane, seeing all her venues sell out at rapid pace. Following her 25 day tour around Ethane, she began working on a second album at the age of 21. Highly anticipated by people all around the country, people were left disappointed when it was announced that ENTV Records had scrapped the new album, and that Roxanne Boychack would not be making anything in the near future, as she would be taking a break.

Throughout Worldvision 43 and 44, she was nowhere to be seen. Rumours suggest that she went to off travelling for a few years, which would suggest the disappearance of her. After the poor performances at worldvision, which led to ENTV changing their strategy in deciding the song which would be performed at Worldvision, Roxanne Boychack came from nowhere to announce her interest in performing at Worldvision. Faced with a tight vote, she pulled away just at the end of the voting period to take the place as Ethane's performer at the Worldvision 45.

This song sees a complete change in direction from previous songs sent by Ethane to Worldvision, changing to a feminine song, sung by a female. This marks a change in ENTV, who are under pressure to improve the positions Ethane places at in Worldvision, so that they may regain the broadcasting and selection rights when the contract goes out to tender next edition. ENTV signed a 3 edition contract to broadcast Worldvision, and will be trying to pull of another contract with a potential host bid planned in the next contract tenure.

The stage was bathed in darkness. Roxanne moved into her position center stage, half way between the front of the stage and the back wall. Murmurs of excitement could be heard from the crowd, with occasional cheers rippling around the venue, as the audience waited in anticipation for the 33rd song of the night to begin. The camera panned across the patient audience, showing the audience to be like a group of impatient puppies, jumping around and waiting for the next act to begin. As the music kicked in, flashes of purple and yellow shot out like breaths of fire from a dragon's mouth, bathing the stage and audience in bright lights. The lights flashed with every beat, while a line of dancers appeared on the stage, dancing to the beat, in a traditional Ethanian street dance style. Fog machines at either end of the stage spurted out jets of fog-like particles, which slowly spread around the stage, highlighting the ambience of the lights. The screen at the back of the stage showed a large eye, shut. The camera slowly panned away from the audience and towards the singer, creating a zooming in effect, enlarging the singer as the camera got ever closer. Roxanne began to sing to the audience, looking over towards the camera, pandering to the television viewers.

Some nerve you have,
To grow up with me,
But tell me you can’t see,

The camera changed to a different angle, looking on from the side, as Roxanne turned on the stage towards the camera, situated on the right of the stage. She jabbed her finger towards the camera, before sweeping her arm round, to face the audience, lowering it as she collapsed to the floor, singing ''blind you are''. The dancers then circled around the singer, arching backwards and forwards in a synchronised pattern. A red beam shone down on the group, as the group began to pulse like a heart. The lights continued to flash out into the audience and the stage, increasing the hype as the song slowly built up toward the chorus.

How dare you just ignore my heart,
Oh how blind you are,
To not notice my love,
But tell me I’m beautiful,
Cause I was looking for love, yeah,

The camera swept around, showing the audience dancing away to the song, as Roxanne stood up to finish the chorus. The dancers spread out again, performing a dance to the song, which was very complicated.

I never wanted you to hide away from me,
But your eyes hid me,
I wanted you and me but your eyes did not see,
All that I wanted,
Was you to feel something,
I felt everything,
I just waited for you.

A group of lights which had been pointing at the ceiling swept down, momentarily shining at the audience, before turning off at the bottom of the stage. The camera faded back to the stage, refocusing back on the singer, who was singing into her headset, dancing a simplified version of the dancer's routine. The flashing lights increased in intensity as the song built up, moving into the chorus.

Cause I’ve been waiting,
For you to see,
The love that’s been waiting inside eternally,
I’ve sat here for you,
You still have no clue,
You act so blind,
So open your eyes,

Roxanne hyped up the audience by moving towards the ground, before leaping up to start this section and jumping around, further exciting the audience. The dancers continued their synchronised pattern behind her as she sung the chorus, and the eye on the screen behind her flickered open, looking around at the audience. The lights flashed again, before dying down again at the end of the chorus, where Roxanne stopped jumping about, swaying side to side. At the end of the chorus, the eye on the back screen shut.

Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh look around you,
At what it’s come to,
I’m waiting for you,
So open your eyes.

Roxanne once again pandered to the camera as it swept around her, constantly turning to keep her face in line with the camera. Fog swept around her feet as she walked around the stage, singing to the audience, bending down to show the intensity of her singing. A spotlight shone on Roxanne as she strolled around the stage. The pulsing lights continued to flash with the beat, but at a much lower intensity, to match the slightly lower intensity of the chorus.

I want you,
Cause you are so cute,
You lighten my mood,
But you do not see,
What’s wrong with you?
You cannot see my inner love for you,
What can I do?
What can I do, ohh?

The synchronised dancers once again formed a pulsing heart like shape around Roxanne, which she weaved in and out of, with a red light flashing down onto the human structure with every beat. The fog continued to grow, now enveloping the bottom half of her legs, slowly rising, and projecting the light in a more intense fashion. The camera continued to pan over the stage, before fading to the audience for a few seconds.

All that I’m trying,
Is to open your eyes,
But they seem to be hiding from the hurt in the world,
I get this feeling,
That occasionally you’re stealing a few glances at me,
But then I realise that its love you cannot see.

The lights slowly began to increase in intensity, building up once again to the chorus. Roxanne began to hype up the audience again, while pandering to the camera which faded between different perspectives of her at different angles on the stage. The spotlight turned off, replaced by a flashing ambient light from the stage.

Cause I’ve been waiting,
For you to see,
The love that’s been waiting inside eternally,
I’ve sat here for you,
You still have no clue,
You act so blind,
So open your eyes,

Roxanne again began to jump up and down, while singing intensely into her headset. On the third ''oh open your eyes'' she remained quiet allowing the audience to chant out the line to her now memorable chorus. The synchronised dancers continued their dance.

Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh look around you,
At what it’s come to,
I’m waiting for you,
So open your eyes.

All the lights faded out apart from 1 light on Roxanne, and 1 light on each of the dancers. Roxanne sang with intensity, while the dancers continued their dance behind her. The fog by now had reached her chest.

Oh I hate that I,
Cannot show you my love for you ever until you can see love again,
Why can’t you see?
Oh I used to see you so happy why can’t you be,
That person with me?
For you to see,
I used to be sitting on the sidelines,
Out of your eyesight,
It makes me want to,
Open your eyes,
Open your eyes.

The lights once again all flashed on, returning to their full intensity. The light on the screen at the back of the stage flashed open, glancing around at the audience. Roxanne began to jump about again, really feeling the passion of her song. As the song drew to a close, the fog enveloped her completely, hiding her and the dancers from view.

I’ve sat here for you,
You still have no clue,
You act so blind,
So open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh open your eyes,
Oh look around you,
At what it’s come to,
I’m waiting for you,
So open your eyes,
Open your eyes.

''Thank you everyone'' Roxanne shouted from in amongst the fog, before departing the stage.

Esportivan and Proud.
<drawk> If the entirety of the nation of Ethane was covered in a single cubic foot of Ethane on its surface, lighting it all on fire would cause a 5.44 megaton blast.
Best WorldVision Finish: 2nd. Best World Cup Finish: Quarter-Finals. Best KPB Rank: 8th. Best WBC Finish: 1st.

ENTRY 34- Porterno

Vannessa Loves- Let Me Go

Vanessa Loves has always favoured simplistic artistry on the stage. She is an artist who prefers to let it all out on the stage, and rely on her own talent and quality, rather than using stage effects to improve her performance. She believes the best performances are those that are simplistic in their design, and don't involve complicated dancing sequences, or detailed light effects. This is part of the reason why today she is performing for Porterno rather than Ethane. She joined the Porterno group for Worldvision, as they wanted to differentiate themselves from other nations, and showcase the talent of their nation, rather than just the ability to create complex stage designs and scenery. This is reflected in the performance, which is simple in its design, but extremely effective. For the majority of the performance, Vanessa Loves is centre-stage, with a single solitary spotlight beaming down on her from above, singing into a microphone. This only differs in the chorus, where some white lights that line the edge of the stage turn on, dimly, to create an ambient, relaxing whit glow on and off the stage. Throughout the song she sings passionately, and at points bending over to release some of the slightly more powerful notes.

Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh

We thought that it would last,
We still had so much of our lives,
With our young and innocent minds,
So beautifully blind,
That was the best times, I know,
But its time that I went back home,
The memories I made of love,
My time spent with you I will remember one day,

All this time together,
Flying round these memories
Can’t stay, let me go, let me go,
Everything and then I move on,
I have tears in my eyes,
Thinking of the times that
Must go, let me go, let me go,
Everything I need to move on.

Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh

Was it just not meant to be,
Were we just not destiny,
The times I had were so sweet,
Our love was some feat,
That was the best times, I know,
But it’s time that I went back home,
Times have changed for us,
It’s time to finally call it enough

All this time together,
Flying round these memories
Can’t stay, let me go, let me go,
Everything and then I move on,
I have tears in my eyes,
Thinking of the times that
Must go, let me go, let me go,
Everything I need to move on.
Takes everything to move on,

Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh

All this time together,
Flying round those memories
Can’t stay, let me go, let me go,
Everything and then I move on,
I have tears in my eyes,
Thinking of the times that
Must go, let me go, let me go,
Everything I need to move on.

Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh
Oh ohhh oh oh

''Thank you Lavington, Thank you the Sarian. It was such a pleasure. Good night.''

35.KASANOVA-KORATICA

Dank

Hunky Dory

Hunky Dory, a constantly happy person from New Kallisto, sings about love. Kasanova-Koratican critics are blown away and instantly make him leader of their association. He then goes on to enter WorldVision in service of his fair country.

Hunky Dory is situated just so that his head is the only part of his body protruding from the floor. A spotlight shines on him
Get dank,

Wanna have me
Or just want your dank memes, without me?

His head looks like the offspring of a desiccated potato and an elderly avocado, his expression one of pure seduction seen only in the best strippers
You laugh as you scroll down your phone, look up, wanna have me?
Or just want your dank memes, without me?

Various headless mannequins dance about on the stage
I just want you to smile in my crotch, just once
Like you do when you scroll and you smile and you laugh oh I want that smile in my legs mm hmmm

Wanna have me?
Or just want your dank memes, without me?

One of the headless mannequins runs along the side of the stage to high-five the mildly disturbed audience
I just wanna have you laugh in my crotch and smile just like that, ooh yeah
Like you do when you stroke and you smile and you laugh oh I want that smile in my legs mm hmmm

It turns out that one of the mannequins is actually Hunky Dory's body with his actual head, and a teenager appears on stage, the type who would enjoy dank memes on a regular basis. He finds entertainment giggles in Hunky's crotch
I'll make it dank, just for you

A colossal bang echoes through the stadium as the lights flash, revealing the teen spraying a can of whipped cream (plastered with various memes) in his mouth. Worried parents are mostly relieved

"Thank you, Lavatoryton!" he shouts, then leaves the stage with the teen and the mannequins.

Hello and welcome to the 44th Edition of the WorldVision Song Contest, I'm Jason Delapre live in Lavington, and don't we have a great night in store for you; make sure you catch it all across the Sarian National Network - on TV, radio and online.

00. Opening Act

I always love a bit of Vidi, great way to start the evening. I think we all knew from the moment it was announced that our tagline tonight would be "Sing Together" that we'd be seeing Vidi. Love the performance, love the way the song has been renewed for what is now the third time it has been performed on a WorldVision stage. Anyway, onwards and upwards, here's Nightom.

01. Nightom

I think I like it, but I'm not too sure. I feel like this is very much a marmite track - some people are going to absolutely love this, others will be screaming at the Television every time it gets points - and I think it'll get plenty. Different songs stand out in this contest, and this song is certainly different. Fantastic to see Nightom be so brave in it's debut in the contest.

02. Mister X

We were almost in Mister X tonight, the race was very very tight, and I'm sure we would've had a great time there. However, I really dislike this song. Again, props to Mister X for trying something different but this song is truly awful. Being different just for the sake of being different isn't always a good strategy. I could be wrong though, and this could do well, we'll see.

03. Dreamplanet

Let's be honest, you were tapping your feet along to that, don't think I saw anyone here tonight who wasn't. Catchy song, good performance - definitely one of the best performances we've seen come out of Dreamplanet, will they be ruling the world tonight? Who knows, but it's Frenline Delpha up next, and they might have something to say about it.

04. Frenline Delpha

05. Talvezout

Our hosts from last year, and my god did they set the bar high? And as for the song, I think there is only one word that can describe it - cool. Cool band, cool song, cool performance. I think this has a real possibility of being tonight's dark horse. Very good performance from Talvezout.

06. Venkatanaras Imharajuvaripieta Rdraskska

Hint to viewers at home, don't try and pronounce the name, you'll miss the next song. Perhaps not my favourite song this evening, but I feel this will rake up a good number of points - I just hope they get lots of twelves so we can see how people trying to pronounce it live on air. Vencatanus? I give up.

07. Britonisea

This song has such a catchy beat, like oh my god. I dare you to try and get this out of your head, because I sure as hell won't be able to. Evangeline said she doesn't want to come fifth tonight, and I don't think she'll be disappointed - this is a very good song. My only concern is, is this a WorldVision song or something in the Top 40, regardless, this'll do well tonight.

08. Missus X

You know, last contest all the silly songs kind of stayed in the same place, this is sandwiched in the middle of two real contenders. If I have to make a comment, I could say that the long note of lube was good, better than biting the pillow I guess... Anyway, moving on to someone who might actually win - it's Mitoland.

09. Mitoland

Again, some people will really like this song - it's beautifully song, and the performance was good, but I'm just not in love with it. This just feels like a midtable finish, and there's nothing wrong with that. Good entry, but nothing special.

10. Ekoz

Can someone check the bookies to see if this is odds-on favourite, because it should be. I love it, love it, love it. If this doesn't do well, everything I thought I knew about music is a lie. This should do well, and at this point of the competition, it should win. On saying that, Polkopia is up next, and they never disappoint.

11. Polkopia

The music gods are cruel, giving us two fantastic songs like that in a row. We're only eleven songs in and I can name three or four songs who deserve to win, this contest will be tight. Typically fantastic song from Polkopia, they've won the contest four times, will this make it five?

12. Normandy and Picardy

NO! NO! NO! It's not fair! Three utterly amazing songs in a row. I'll turn on the radio tonight and be ruined for other songs. This song could really do well tonight - Normandy and Picardy's first winner? We'll see. It looks like every point will matter.

13. Gregoryisgodistan

And now, ladies and gentlemen, we're in the silly part of the evening. Goto the toilet, put the dogs out, drink a steamy cup of tea, it doesn't matter, you won't be missing anything you want to vote for.

14. EDO and Gregoryisgodistan

Oh look, they're singing together. Nice use of the mantra. Shame the song had to be so damn violent.

15. The Sword Bloke

Don't worry, we have a real song next.

16. Antahbrantahstan

At last! A return to sanity and songs not about genocide! I don't know if this is a good song, or if it just sounds good after the last three songs, but I like this. Dark horse?

17. Oisinistan

Oh, and we're back to being silly.

18. KwaDai

In the spirit of Not Spiderman, sorry Deadpool, coming out recently, I'm going to break the fourth wall. I really like Taylor Swift, like, I'm a massive swiftie, but I don't like Out Of The Woods very much...

19. Owner-osity

Oh for fudge sake! Just when you think the silly season is over, Owner-osity pops up and Lactatia is after Adab. Hopefully Adab fights to urge to sing about genocide or orgies or anything like that.

20. Adab

Oh he is handsome. Thank god he didn't sing about orgies because my blushing face would light up the stage. Oh yeah, his singing was good too. Can someone get my a glass of water please.

21. Lactatia

I've gotten over the Adabi singer now. Infact, the very thought of sex is repellent to me. After this, I'm going to join a monastery or something.

22. Electrum

Having the singers voice drive the song isn't done enough, in my opinion, this song is absolutely fantastic, and that's all down to Miriam being a damned good singer. Another great song, another contender to win the whole thing.

23. Yttribia

24. Arioslavia

Wow! This is different! This is amazing! Wow! I love this! Never thought I would, but this is beautiful, this is catchy, this is fast paced, this is amazing, this everything you want in a song! Damn Arioslavia, well done! Did not see this coming!

25. Anonymous Islands

Good song, not a great song. This could do well, but I think it will end up somewhere in the middle. More importantly, we're next! I'm looking forward to this!

26. The Sarian

In terms of the stage performance, I think this has to be one of our best, Harriet and her team have really done a good job on that. However, do I think this'll do well? Hmmmm, I think the message is too much of a wedge - I don't think enough people will realise this is historical. Regardless, I really like the song, I just don't think we'll break the top ten.

27. Kuala Lumpia

28. Bloodbath Generation

29. Vettrera

30. Todlichebujoku

Their singers name may be a maths problem, but I have no problem in deciding how I feel about this song - I love it. It says something about the strength of the Todlichebujoki music industry that this is not even close to their strongest entry, but still (in my opinion) has a great chance of doing well.

31. Brittanny

A foreign language song! These were all the fad a few editions ago, but they've died out since then, can't say I was too disappointed about that, to be honest. However, I actually quite like this song. Do I think it will win? No. Do I think it's a good song? Yes.

32. Nekoni

It's not bad, I'm just not in love with it. Maybe it can be a dark horse, but I honestly can't see this doing any better than midtable. We'll see, Nekoni can often surprise you.

33. Ethane

34. Porterno

35. Kasanova-Koratica

At least they called it dank instead of wan... Actually never mind. Hopefully that's our last silly performance this evening.
