Armatax, Inc. Historical Arms Company

Armatax is a new Allanean company, staffed with Fordorsian arms experts, Reichskamphenite martial artists, and Allanean engineers. Its primary objective is to research the history of various small arms and melee weapons, and to sell them in quantity to the civilian and military markets of the world.

The primary purpose of Armatax, specifically, is to create fully functional, combat-ready, copies of historical swords, knives, firearms and polearms, which would be both aesthetically pleasing as wall-hangers and entirely acceptable as self-defense weapons or even as military-issue arms. (Armatax cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage to your health resulting from an attempt to use Armatax products in self-defense. We guarantee only the physical quality of the product, and not its usefulness - in other words, if you attempt to purchase a a large quantity of Greatswords and use them in an amphibious landing, that’s on you).

Should you desire to purchase these small arms or swords, please fill out this form and paste it at the main Allanean Defense Exports Storefront

Mark 1 Infantry Greatsword
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

Greatswords are by far some of the coolest swords in existence, at least in the opinion of Armatax staff. If nothing else, they are larger than any other swords, and can totally rearrange an attacker’s day. Used by heavy infantry and mercenaries in the 16th century, the greatswords gradually declined in use to become ceremonial - but only mostl ceremonial, as there are still a few daring - and typically rather muscular souls willing to use them in self-defense.

The Mark 1 Infantry Greatsword is the first sword to come out of our armories. The handle of the Mark 1 Infantry Greatsword is bound in genuine black leather, to match the scabbard. The enormous blade is just under a yard long, and will certainly make short work of any opponent.

D-Guard Cutlass Bowie
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

Allaneans are very fond of great big knives. They carry them everywhere, and everyone from King Blaken-Kazansky to Queen Cassiopeia Blaken-Kazansky to the lowest arcology urchin carries a knife of some manner... and some, of course, carry swords. Weapons, as is well known, are the mark of a Freeman. Knives, guns, and swords are an embedded part of Allanean national culture, and so it was not surprising that this Fordorsian design became a hit in Allanea.

This here is an enormous Bowie knife, comparable in size to the largest Bowie knives of the 19th century, it is so huge one wonders whether it is actually a knife or a very small sword. It is equipped with a D-guard for close combat, which shields the wearer’s knuckles from damage during punches or from the opponent’s blows. The blade is over a foot long, and can be used to both slash and stab.

Magna Acutam Fordorsian Khopesh
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

Fordorsia’s historical contact with the Egyptians has introduced the country to the use of the Khopesh - and after some years, it grew into this immense version called the Magna Acutam - literally, the [i]Great Hook. There are few explanations needed. It is a big, sharp curved blade, similar in conception - but not in size - to necrontyr combat sickles. This very design is battle-tested and used by thousands of military professionals for centuries, and can do a number on even the most hardened opponent. Get a good hit in with a Great Hook and you’ll be thanking us for this wonderful weapon.

In addition, the Magna Acutam is a great ceremonial weapon for security teams - ceremonial in the sense of ‘it can still totally mess you up if you do end up using it in combat’, that is. Arcology resident? Security guard? Resident of some country that won’t let you own a shotgun in home defense? Go get a Great Hook today. Imagine that burglar’s face when you bring out a bloody khopesh.

Call now - the Great Hook will be yours for only $1000!

Fordorsian Bowie Knife
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

Allaneans and Fordorsians alike are especially fond of Bowie knives, the Bowie becoming a virtual symbol of Allanea. In the arcologies, where knives are cheaper than guns, and quality guns are sometimes unaffordable, many choose to carry a large Fordorsian Bowie to complement their carry gun. With a blade that is over a foot long, the Fordorsian Bowie is remininscent of the original, 19th-century Bowie knives carried by settlers and adventurers alike. It can both chop and thrust, and is useful in both close combat and as a tool.

Hunter? Adventurer? Smuggler? Urban professional? The Fordorsian Bowie is for you. It will allow you to skin large game or put the fear of the Gods into burlglars and carjackers. As every other weapon produced or sold by the Armatax Company, this Bowie is fully functional. Itis available for a low, low price of $150.

Fordorsian Seax
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

Made in Fordorsia, this enormous Seax is a valuable self-defense tool - for those people who are fond of ancient tradition, rather than frontiersman lore. Shaped like the heavy blades carried by the Anglo-Saxoon warriors of old, the Seax can easily chop through light firewood - or chop away the fingers of a night-time assailant. It is also a vicious stabbing weapon, as we can see that the blade is over a foot long. The Fordorsian Seax has made its first Allanean appearance at a Tactical Fan Convention [TACFANCON-14], and has since been making headway among the population, with over 20,000 knives sold in the first year.

More, the Fordorsian Seax is equipped with a D-Hilt, protecting your knuckles from enemy blades and enabing it to be used not only as a slashing and cutting implement, but also in vicious punching in close combat. Even if the Fordorsian Seax breaks (which it won’t unless you’re trying to break it on purpose), you can still use it as emergency brass knuckles! Yours for just $150!

Paraganian Arms C96P
Image
Art by Paragania, Writeup by Allanea

The C96P (Paraganian) is, as the name implies, a Paraganian-made variant of the Mauser C96 pistol, first produced in the 1930s by Paraganian authorities. The C96P is a select-fire, detachable-magazine variant of the classic firearm (though semi-auto-only versions are also produced for nations where select-fire firearms are illegal for civilian posession).

The C96P comes with a wooden stock that serves as a sort of holster for the firearm, similar to the stocks used historically. When the firearm is removed from the holster, it can be attached to pistol, turning it into a sort of short-barreled carbine. The pistol’s adjustable, notch-type sights allow it to be used for engaging targets out to 1000 meters.

However, the principal use of the C96P Paraganian today is as a civilian firearm, used by either collectors or security guards. It is produced both in Paragania itself (and exported by Armatax), as well as produced in an Armatax company factory in Kurzweil Province.

While the C96P is somewhat more complex to disassemble and somewhat more expensive than modern firearms in a similar class, it is famous for its long-range accuracy, stopping power, and incredible reliability. It might not be the most modern firearm, but it is a [i]classic firearm.

For persons less interested in historical accuracy, a variant equipped with three Weaver rails (one top, two side-rails) can be purchased.

Weight: 1150 grams
Length: 271mm
Ammunition capacity: 10/20/40 rounds (depending on magazine)
Calibers: Available in 7.63mm Mauser, 7.62mm TT, 9mm Parabellum, .45 ACP, and others
Consumer cost: $800 ($1300 gold-plated)

BKsP m/34E
Borund Kulspurztna Pulmoyt mond 1934 Einsatznat

Image
Art by Puzikas Writeup by Allanea

This firearm has been produced, starting in at Husqvarna Vapruzen et Patrozheniye Fabriken A/B, in Ovgranost, Dniegua. At that time it functioned reasonably well as a squad automatic weapon, being capable of outputting around 900 rounds per minute, an impressive rate of fire by any standards.

The original firearm fired a 13.7 gram projectile at 814 meters per second, being chambered in the proprietary 7.5x6.5mm cartridge. However, due to the popularity of the design with both civilian collectors and paramilitary organizations in Allanea, Armatax chose to bring back the BKSP-34 in various calibers, including most of the common 7.62mm variants, and a .22LR variant (capable of achieving 1200 RPM).

Cost: Historic firearm for collectors: $17,000, modern copy - $2500, DPR UNAVAILABLE
Length 1249 mm (full-length variant), 1104 mm (“carbine” short variant)
Weight: 12.275 kg (full-length), 11.58 kg (“short
Available in: The original firearm has been chambered in 7.5x65mm Kzp m/34. Copies manufactured in Armatax plants in Iolead have been made available in 7.62x51mm NATO, 7.92x57mm and other similar calibers on request.

Kryton Small Arms Industries/Armatax KAR-MkV
[art and specifications by Coltarin, writeup by Allanea]

The Kryton Small Arms Industries KAR-MkV is a bullpup carbine utilizing a short-stroke gas-piston principle (similar to that used in the AR-18 and G-36 series of rifles). Although it had not found, so far, a defense contract, the Kryton Small Arms company of Coltarin eventually did find a nice for KAR-MkV, selling it for export as both a civilian and a military small arm. After finding a warm welcome in Allanea among the sport shooter market and for home defense, Kryton soon signed a contract with Armatax to produce the firearm under license in the Free Kingdom and to have Armatax to serve as its main distributor abroad.

After some deliberation, Armatax contrived a marketing campaign for this rifle that reached into several nations, selling it in various versions and designs. Soon after, the KAR-MkV became available in 5.56x45mm, .22LR, and 6.5mm SPC.

The KAR-Mkv is available both in a select-fire version (with either a safe/semi/full or a safe/semi/three-round burst switch) and a semi-auto version (in countries where full-auto firearms are restricted for civilians or police users). An airsoft replica is also manufactured by Armatax.

For civilian purchasers, it is also possible to purchase the KAR-MkV in a ‘factory custom’ version, with a smoother trigger, various accessories, and higher quality control (every factory custom KAR-MkV is test-fired for accuracy at factory and only firearms passing a group accuracy test are sold in this category). Factory custom KAR-MkV arrive in a special hard plastic storage case/range case, three-position tactical sling, four magazines, a cleaning kit, and an instructional DVD named Art of the Bullpup, in which leading sportsmen and tactical operators explain the fine points of using bullpups in combat, home defense, and competition.

‘Freeman’s Hand’ Bowie Knife
Image
image credit belongs to the one, the only, Fordorsia

If there is one thing that Allaneans love almost as much as guns, it is knives and swords. Like the settlers of old, Allaneans – both the upper class and the poorer sort, the sort known as ‘arcotrash’ abroad – love carrying enormous knives, sometimes as tools, but more often as weapons and symbols. And the most famous Allanean knives are, of course, Bowie knives - some of these being over a foot long.

The knife we have here - the 'Freeman’s Hand’ - is a relatively cheap, but large, knife. It is being sold here primarily for civilian use, although military clients can, if they so choose, also buy it. It is fairly modest, one could argue - the blade just over a foot long, the knife itself weighing in at 950 grams.

Each of the knives is precision-ground, heat-treated and tempered at the Armatax factory to rival any sword made by Armatax. It is available both with or without the knuckle-guard seen in the image, and can be made available blued, chromed, or in a variety of colors (even bright-green!) to the ordering party's choice.

Be ready.
Be free.

Be armed like a Freeman – with a ‘Freeman’s Hand’ Bowie Knife!

Available now, at the low, low price of only $150!

Mark 5 Tactical Gladius
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

As is well-known, the military regulations of the Free Kingdom enable commissioned officers to carry a melee weapon of their choice with their uniform. Sometimes the weapon chosen is a sword, sometimes it is a more exotic item, such as a mace or a trench flail. Gaining popularity in recent years has been the tactical gladius.

As seen here, it is the evolution of the gladius first used in Ancient Rome, and later utilized by foot artillerymen in Napoleonic France. Like then, the gladius is useful not only as a melee weapon, but as a sharp implement, chopping branches and limbs alike with equal ease. In a non-military setting, it’s an entirely reasonable personal defense weapon in any environment where a firearm is unavailable or inappropriate. It can be carried in your automobile (and used as both a rescue implement and a self-defense weapon), on your belt, or serve as a home defense weapon, a circumstance in which it would definitely rearrange any enterprising burglar’s schedule.

The Armatax Mark 5 Tactical Gladius is typically shipped with a black, matte blade, but variants with a white steel or even a chromed steel blade is available. The Tactical Gladius typically ships with a black kratom handle (as depicted above), but handles in other colors (blue, green, red, or industrial orange) are available.

Mark 6 Greater Prussian Officer’s Shashka
Image
Image
Art by Fordorsia, Writeup by Allanea

[align=justify]The Mark 6 Shashka takes its origins in research by the Russian Imperial Army, interested in issuing a weapon for their officers that would be efficient both for use in horseback, capable of being used as a thrusting weapon for cavalry attacks and a cutting weapon in close combat on foot, maximizing its cutting capacity and wound area while also being easy to used and maneuver in combat. The resulting sword was shorter than the shashkas then in use by cavalry, as well as significantly lighter. Moreover, its curve was adjusted after a study of Caucasian volchok shashkas, which were then thought to have maximum wounding capacity in cuts while retaining a stabbing capacity. Finally, its center of gravity was moved down towards the hilt, to improve handling.

The result was an 805-gram, 81-cm sword, capable of inflicting devastating injury both in cuts from the draw, in thrusts from horseback, and short enough to be useful in the merciless trench warfare of the Great War. What we see here is a remanufacture of the sword using the most modern steelmaking and insight of Allanean swordsmiths, first deployed with the Reichskamphenite regiments of the Greater Prussian Army and Imperial Guard, and later spreading into Allanea itself. Slight adjustments were made such as the removal of the guard, modern handle materials for improved grip, etc.

Now the Mark 6 Shashka is available for export.

[Greater Prussia Member States and members of Greater Prussia member alliances can apply for Greater Prussian budget assistance to receive these shashkas in quantities]
