Hello, new nation, and welcome to the wide world of regional gameplay! As you're probably aware by now, your nation exists in a region, a place for likeminded nations to gather and interact. We here at the Gameplay forum are well-versed in the regional communities NationStates has to offer, and we want to help you find the right place for your nation to thrive. This game is so much more fun when you have other nations you can get along with, I promise.

So, regional newcomer, please help us help you find a region where you belong. Post in this thread asking for what sort of elements you're looking for in a regional community. Examples of this might be a focus on roleplay, communism, religion, military, sports, or even other games. Any combination as well, most regions have a lot to offer! Tell us whether you would enjoy a larger or smaller community, one that bases its communication on-site or on an external forum. Any information you give us makes it easier for us to point you in the right direction!

Moderation will remove irrelevant replies. This is not a thread for you to spam your "Join my region!" posts, use your regional thread for that.

You can join The Western Isles if you want. We're heavily centered about roleplaying and are modern, present-day tech.

I've been a member of NS since early 2011 with other nations and even founded my own rolelaying region at one point, but went inactive for a few years here and there, and now use this as my main nation seated with WA membership and site-supporter status, looking to start anew.

I've been in a few roleplays so I know the basics, just looking to dive a little deeper into it. I would like region that I would be proud to be a part of as well. I look to stay as active as possible throughout 2016 to build up a good roleplaying base. To get specific I am seeking a rp region of smaller size, one with around 50 nations or less, modern era.

Hi Dan. Looks like I'm here on this thread again. The Western Isles again meets your specifications. Although we have more than 50 nations, we have about 30 active RPers. We have a custom map, are very active, and have lots of varying role-plays.

I wish I knew more about roleplaying regions, it seems there's a high demand for them in this thread.

If you're interested in raiding, I'd recommend either DEN or The Black Hawks. Both invader powerhouses, each with their own unique style and stratagem, possess in-depth guides and experienced mentors to assist the development of your military career.

On the other hand, I would not recommend defending unless you enjoy the taste of defeat. If you're into that kind of stuff, 10000 Islands is a decent place to head over to.

Raudind and defending are both very time intensive, at very specific time, the latter more so. Take that into consideration.
