The Mid Lothian Embassy Exchange Programme

Dear friends,

After some recent debates, we have decided to offer you an embassy in Mid Lothian.

We have just finished building a special embassy district in the Royal Borough of Lambeth. This site was chosen due to the closeness of Central Edinburgh whilst still being handy for Edinburgh Heathrow Airport. We hope that you will be interested in having an embassy in Edinburgh and request that you fill in the application form that I have enclosed.

You also have a choice of eight roads that you can have your embassy on, each of which have 30 currently vacant embassies. They are, in alphabetical order:

Ambergate Street
Cardigan Street
Cleaver Street
Crewdson Road
Doddington Grove
Kennington Park Road
Langley Lane
Vauxhall Street

I have also been in correspondence with Laurence Gunsman, our Justice Secretary. He has advised me that all members of your delegation will be immune from most crimes under diplomatic immunity. However, if any of your delegation are arrested for a crime with carries a maximum sentence of life without parole, they will be banished from Mid Lothian and will be barred re-entry. Also, your security staff will be added to the list of those allowed firearms - although, due to our laws involving firearms, they will have to be kept securely on site when not in use and all staff will have to be licensed. Please note that this is just a formality and will be done the day you move into your embassy.

Please also note that you do not have to request permission to fly your flag at your embassy: this is automatically granted.

After submitting your form, we will advise you within 48 hours if your application has been successful.
